(I am sorry for the late update. I also when I started this story I wasn't familiar with the Knights of Ren names. I am now using them and will go back and update the earlier chapters. Ty for all who read and all and ty for Lynn for beta reading this.)

Rey woke up the next morning, her hand reaching out for Kylo, she opened her eyes and raised her head as she felt nothing but the bed where he should be laying. She smiled when she saw a single red rose on his pillow with a note attached.

"My love, you were sleeping so peacefully I couldn't bare to awaken you. I have a meeting with my Knights. Regardless, I yearn to be by your side. You will find breakfast on the table nearest the terrace doors. Till we are together again, you have all my love, Kylo."

Rey looked out and so the sun was shining through the windows she smiled and snuggled further into the deep richness of the bed enjoying the feel of the soft sheets next to her naked skin. Sleeping nude was something she'd never done before, but with Kylo now it felt natural, right. She grabbed Kylo's robe and wrapped herself in it, enjoying the smell of him all around her. She sat down at the table with the food he had left for her. It contained all her favorites, sweet rolls, fresh fruits. She took a knife and placed it in the sweet jellies and smeared some on one of the rolls, enjoying the taste. She had developed such a sweet tooth since leaving Jakku. On Jakku, she had never been able to buy anything sweet, no candies, nothing.

How had Kylo known her favorites?

The sounds of fighting drew her attention, she looked out the window and could see Kylo fighting with someone. She quickly changed into some pants and a shirt, not bothering to put on any shoes and ran out the terrace and followed the sounds of the fighting. She stopped in her tracks upon seeing her husband fighting one of his Knights, Vicrul. The other Knights were around them watching.

"He always wins," a voice said from behind her.

Trudgen.

"What?" Rey asked as she looked as the Knight came up to stand beside her.

"He's our master, he trained us to be at our best. But he is far superior then we are, especially since he now has so much to fight for," Trudgen said as he looked at her.

At that moment, Kylo caught her eye and he winked at her.

Rey couldn't stop the blush from forming on her cheeks as she watched the way her husband moved during the fight. Vicrul was a very worthy opponent but she knew he was in no way going to be able to defeat Kylo. She remembered the way he had fought the Praetorian Guards, in a few split seconds she had watched the way he was fighting. That day would forever live in her mind as they had fought for their lives, two fighting as one. She could remember the spike of anger she had felt through their bond when the one guard had slashed at her arm.

"He fights well, doesn't he?" Rey said, surprised herself that she had said that out loud.

"Why shouldn't he?" Trudgen asked. "He's got jealousy goading him, giving him an advantage over every Knight."

"Jealousy?" Rey asked skeptically, looking at Trudgen now.

"Absolutely. He isn't fighting to be our master. He could care less about that. Or about being Supreme Leader. He's fighting for you, Lady Rey. He sees every opponent as someone that could basically take you from him. The life you two will share together," Trudgen said.

"But isn't this a training session?" Rey asked, looking at Vicrul and Kylo.

"It is, but for Kylo he sees things a bit different. He finally found his purpose, the reason he was born and that was with you to bring a complete balance to the force. Your children will be honored to have such parents to be proud of," Trudgen said.

"Has he spoken to you of all this?" Rey asked.

"Some of us had concerns about you being on the Light side of the force, Kylo reassured us you would not try to change our ways," Trudgen said.

"Do you…..do you enjoy being on the Dark side?" Rey asked.

"I don't fight it. I accepted a long time ago it would be foolish to fight against my future," Trudgen said.

"But the things you have done? To innocent people…" Rey said.

"Some things we all are not proud of, Snoke twisted things into making us see things otherwise. I'm not saying he was all to blame we all knew what we were doing." Trudgen admitted.

Rey nodded. If she was being honest with herself, she knew that killing someone was still killing someone. Was everyone on the First Order fleet evil? The cooks, the mechanics?

"There has been enough killing, this war has cost too many lives. It was time for it to end once and for all," Trudgen said.

"I agree, I just wished under different circumstances," Rey said.

"Every life born now will not know the horrors of this war. They will now know only peace and rebuilding. It was past time for it to end. Your children will grow up in perfect balance as you and Kylo are now balanced," Trudgen said with confidence.

"He's talked to you about us having children?" Rey asked. She had not thought he would discuss that issue with anyone.

"He is anxious for you two to be parents, to show the galaxy that you two are united. That your children will not go through the loneliness and the feeling of being abandoned by those who should always be there for you no matter what," Trudgen said.

"I'm sure he wishes for a son to carry on his legacy," Rey said. She had never been to hopeful to have a family back on Jakku, just trying to survive from day to day filled her life. That and wishing that her family would come back to her.

"I'm sure a son or a daughter would please him to more than you can know," Trudgen said.

Rey thought over what Trudgen had said to her, as the fight ended with Kylo victorious of course. Kylo walked up to her with a smile on his face.

"Trudgen, I see you are seeing after my wife," Kylo said as he brought his hand up to cup his wife's cheek. Instead of pulling away from his touch as she normally did, this time she leaned into it which pleased him greatly.

"Yes, my master. Our Empress is a fierce warrior and very protective of you. Came running out with no shoes and I believe this is one of your shirts is it not?" Trudgen said as he bowed before leaving them.

For the first time Rey looked down at herself to see she was indeed wearing one of Kylo's shirts. "I just grabbed it, I didn't know what I was grabbing when…."

"It's fine, sweetheart," Kylo said just before he leaned down and claimed her lips.

She could feel the demand of his kiss, in the arms that swept tight around her back. Impulsively she threw her arms around his neck. Standing on her toes, she drew his face to hers and pressed her open lips against his mouth. She moved closer, molding her body against his, pressing her breasts to his chest, her hips to his, and slowly curled her fingers in his hair. His tongued entered deep into her mouth and seemed to reach secret spaces. The hard feel of his body against hers brought a sweet, moist warmth seeping through her. It seemed that his very hunger filled her. She wanted him. Desired him with a fiercely growing need that filled her heart and her limbs and her very being.

Before she let them get too far, she remembered that they were not alone. She opened her eyes to see his Knights all trying not to look but couldn't seem to help themselves.

"I forgot…" Rey said as she kept her gaze over Kylo's shoulder. He only chuckled as he turned his head back at them. They all suddenly lost their attention on them.

"Anytime you wish to forget…..please do so," Kylo said as he moved his thumb over her swollen lips. Lips he had caused to become redder, and fuller.

She felt her cheeks become redder at her brazen actions towards him. Kylo saw how her walls were starting to come back up. He had to try to stop them, he put his hands on the sides of her face to make her focus on him and to listen to him carefully. "Rey, what we share is so rare. Many people try to find some small fraction of what we have between us."

"What do we have?" Rey asked as she looked into his eyes.

"We have so much. We have passion, intensity and most of all we have a love between us," Kylo said, knowing that she loved him. She would never have let someone touch her willingly without caring for them deeply. Her heart was in a fragile spot right now, but he could finally tell it was reaching out for him.

Rey closed her eyes as she knew there was no way she could deny anything he had just said. She had an inner battle going on inside. A part of her was screaming at her to tell him how she truly felt about him. And then the other side was telling her to protect herself at all cost. That no one else could protect her, because once you gave that part of yourself to someone else, they had ever weapon to destroy you.

"Rey, please tell me what you feel. Don't be afraid, I feel it too," Kylo said with a smile as he remembered telling her that once before back on Star Killer base.

"Kylo…" Rey stopped as his Knights came rushing to him just then.

"Master we just received a transmission from Ap'lek that there is a disturbance where the prisoners are being kept," Trudgen said as he looked at Rey.

Kylo looked back at Rey as well. He knew she had no knowledge of whatever was going on. "Get the transport, I'll be there shortly. Trudgen I want you to escort Rey back to our room and stand guard." Trudgen nodded as the other Knights went to get ready.

"Rey, I'm going to see what is going on. I'll be back shortly," Kylo said as he grabbed his lightsaber and clicked it to his belt.

"Can I please go with you?" Rey asked, she was afraid for her friends afraid they had tried something stupid.

"I want you here where I know you're safe," Kylo denied her request.

"Please, they are my friends. If they did something, I can talk them out of it," Rey said.

"No, Rey. Please stay in our rooms, I'll join you as quickly as I can," Kylo said.

"Kylo, please don't hurt them. They were the first people who gave a damn about me, please," Rey asked as she put a hand on his arm.

He locked eyes with her. He never wanted to deny her anything, but he also couldn't let what was left of the Resistance chip away at what he and Rey were building between them and the galaxy. "If they did something, I just wish to stop it. I'll try not to hurt them, but I will defend myself and my Knights."

Rey said nothing as she was afraid for her friends. Kylo turned to Trudgen, "Stay alert, Trudgen. Protect her at all cost."

"Yes, Master," Trudgen said as he moved his arm to motion for Rey to come with him. As she took one step, she felt a hand on her arm.

"Rey, when I return we will finish our conversation," Kylo said as he leaned in to give her one more kiss before she looked at him and then started to walk back to their rooms.

"What do you suspect?" Ushar asked as he walked up to Kylo who was watching Rey walking away.

"Whatever it is, it's never good with the Resistance. Let's get this over with quickly, I have something to look forward to when I return," Kylo said as they headed towards the transport.

Rey was walking back near her room with Trudgen when she suddenly stopped.

"Is something wrong, Lady Rey?" Trudgen asked.

"I need to make one stop before we go to my room," Rey said.

"Are you hungry? I can have them bring you some food," Trudgen asked. Kylo had told them how on Jakku how Rey had had to scavenge for parts in order to get any food.

"No, I just need to see Dr. Lins," Rey said.
