It doesn't take long for Brittany to regret her decision to go out once she gets back to her apartment. She barely knows these people, what was she thinking? But as she looks around her lonely apartment she is grateful she won't be spending the day alone like she had originally planned. Who knows, maybe it will be fun and just maybe she can become friends with Sam and Santana.

After hours of watching Elf and baking sugar cookies, Brittany begins her getting ready process and takes a nice, long shower making sure to shave her whole body perfectly. Hey, you never know okay? Once she's out she wraps her body in a towel and begins blow drying her long, blonde hair. Once that's done she gets dressed in the outfit she laid out before heading in the shower. It's another Christmas sweater, this time with Christmas trees, along with dark blue jeans that make her butt look amazing. She goes with a natural look for her makeup but makes sure to apply her mascara perfectly to make her piercing blue eyes pop even more.

Before she knows it it's time to go, but before she leaves she grabs a Santa hat to complete her outfit. She's locking the door to her apartment when she hears a familiar voice behind her.

"I know Sam, but I still don't understand why you had to invite her tonight." It feels like Brittany's heart sinks to the bottom of her stomach when she immediately recognizes whos voice that belongs to. At this point she would recognize that voice anywhere.

Brittany turns around and puts on her best smile as they approach her. Sam has a knowing look on his face as he brings Brittany in for a hug. At first she's confused but then he whispers in her ear, "She's harmless. Just give her a little to warm up to you" Brittany just nods and returns his hug, still not sure why he's being so nice to her.

She can't help but glance over to Santana, who is completely disinterested on her iPhone. Despite her bitterness Brittany admires the beauty standing in front of her, dressed in skinny black jeans and an off-the-shoulder red knit sweater with knee-high black heeled boots. Her brown hair is down with loose curls and her eye makeup is dark which is complimenting her brown eyes and her red lipstick matches her sweater perfectly. She looks incredible and Brittany can't help but wonder what she got herself into.

The three of them arrive at Miracle on 7th Street in no time thanks to the Uber Sam had waiting for them. When they walk into the bar Brittany's mouth drapes open in amazement as she takes in all the decorations around her. The bar is decked out wall to wall and even has ornaments and streamers coming down from the ceiling. The place looks straight out of a movie and even has "Jingle Bell Rock" blasting in the background. Brittany fits right in with the crowd, with people wearing Christmas sweaters, Santa hats and even an entire Santa Claus costume.

"Brittany! Over here!" Sam is calling Brittany over and is surrounded by a group of people standing over by the bar. They're all talking amongst each other along with the bartender who is running his hand through his mohawk as Brittany walks over. As soon as she gets to the bar she's handed a drink by the mohawk boy and Brittany eyes it curiously.

"It's a vodka cran. On the house." He gives her a wink but Brittany has heard of this story before and can't bring herself to take a sip. "Oh - it's fine, I swear!" The boy takes the drink back and puts his own straw in it to take a big sip to prove to her it's safe.

"Puck, you idiot. You can't just hand a girl you've never met a drink and expect her to drink it with no questions asked." The voice belongs to Santana and Brittany immediately feels better once she feels her nearby. Unfortunately right next to her is Sam, who has his arm wrapped tightly around her waist.

"Did she say his name is Duck?" Brittany looks to Sam confused, and he just responds with a smile and shakes his head.

"Brittany, this is my best friend Puck." Puck gives his best smile and hands her the drink back. Brittany takes it solely to end the awkwardness of her thinking he was trying to date rape her from moments before.

The mood is lighter now and more people join them over by the bar. Sam introduces everyone and Brittany tries to remember everyone's names. There's Kurt, the nicely dressed boy who kind of reminds her of an elf. Besides him is his boyfriend, Blaine, dressed in all black but has on a festive Christmas bowtie. Then there's Quinn, the petite blonde girl who seems quieter than the rest. Lastly there's Mercedes who has a contagious laugh and laughing right along with her is Tina. The group seems extremely close by the way they tease each other and crack inside jokes, so Brittany tries her best not to feel left out and engage in the conversations.

From time to time Brittany's eyes wander over to Santana who still has Sam's arm around her. She doesn't seem to mind but she's also finishing her drinks faster than everyone else and her eyes have a slight glaze over them as they occasionally meet Brittany's.

"Guys, let's dance! They finally turned off the Christmas music and Dua Lipa is on!" The excitement in Kurt's voice is hard to miss and soon after he's skipping towards the dance floor hand in hand with Blaine. Quinn, Mercedes and Tina follow close behind which leaves only Sam, Santana and Brittany hanging by the bar.

"I'm going to grab us another round!" Sam's yells over the music and for the first time in what seems like forever he let's go of Santana and orders the drinks from Puck.

The music seems louder every second now and when Brittany looks at Santana she sees her mouth moving but can't hear a word of what she's trying to say. Growing frustrated, Santana places her hand to the back of Brittany's head to pull her ear closer to her mouth. "I said, do you have a thing for my boyfriend?" Her voice is sultry and her words are definitely slurred after the multiple Jack and Cokes she's been downing.

Brittany's head is spinning. Between the multiple vodka cranberries she's had herself, the feeling of Santana's hand in her hair along with her breath hitting her ear she's wondering how she isn't dead by now. Brittany hopes that was the reason Santana had an issue with her coming earlier. She almost forgets the ridiculous question she was just asked but is brought back to life once Santana lets go and is now just standing there waiting for an answer.

"No! No I - I don't have a thing for Sam. He's not my type." Brittany doesn't know why she said that and is met with a quirked eyebrow and smirk from Santana. Her arms are crossed and her eyes, looking darker than usual haven't left Brittany's. The tension is thick yet neither one of them will break their gaze. Brittany would do anything to know what the girl was thinking right now.

"I got the drinks! Let's dance!" Sam gives Santana her Jack and Coke along with a quick peck to the cheek. He hasn't noticed the tension surrounding them or the way Santana looks at Brittany as she takes a sip of her cocktail. Brittany is the first to break as she looks over at Sam and immediately feels guilty taking her drink from him. She shakes it off though and follows the couple to the dance floor.

Brittany has never been a stranger to a dance floor. It's why she's in New York, after all, so it makes sense as to why the spotlight is on her. Her body is moving perfectly to the beat, her hips swaying and despite her being in a Christmas sweater Brittany is feeling sexy as hell. She knows people are watching her, but the only pair of eyes she cares about are fixated on the boy she's dancing with. She feels like she's in some type of unspoken game with Santana at this point that she really can't explain. Santana has her arms around Sam's neck and their bodies are pressed close together as they move to the beat. Just as Sam comes down to kiss her, Santana quickly turns her head and gives him her cheek instead and it's in this moment where she meets Brittany's eyes.

She notices Santana say something to Sam but can't quite make it out. It looks like Sam has the same issue so Santana makes a hand signal that she's going outside for a cigarette. Sam nods in understanding and continues dancing with everyone as Santana makes her way towards the door. She makes sure to walk past Brittany and shoot her a knowing look and quickly disappears outside.

Brittany doesn't know if that was a signal to come but either way she's going. She walks outside and sees Santana leaning against the storefront next door, struggling to get her cigarette lit with the slight wind. Brittany walks over to give her a hand, making sure to block where the wind is coming from so Santana can get it lit.

Santana takes a long drag from her cigarette and immediately looks relieved. "You know Sam is trying to set you up with Puck, right?" She looks up at Brittany who's standing close to her after helping her moments before.

"Oh?" Brittany doesn't know where this confidence is coming from but she can't look away from this beautiful girl in front of her. Despite her feistiness, Brittany knows there's something between them ever since that night on the fire escape.

"Mhm. Is he not your type either?"

"Nope."

"So, if Sam's not your type, and Puck's not your type, what is?" There's a moment of silence between them, the only sound is the music coming from the bar playing in a distance. Brittany doesn't want to say anything, she wants to show her. She wants to show her that she's her type by pulling her in for a heated kiss. Brittany thinks she just might do it as her heart begins beating faster. She places her hand on the wall right above Santana, simply because she doesn't know what to do with it and also because it looks cool in movies even if she is wearing a Christmas sweater and Santa hat. Without even realizing, Brittany is leaning in slowly as her eyes focus in on Santana's red, plump lips that are slightly open almost waiting to be captured.

"Hey Santana, Brittany, there you are!"
