Aphrodite

The Slytherin dorms were horrible. The scent of the lake floated through the air. This place, Aphrodite thought, could really use some Graces Specialty Perfume. The house's colour (green) was repulsively the same colour as Demeter's farming shoes. That is to say... the colour of grinded manure and grass.

The only part about the dorms/common room that Aphrodite appreciated, were the ceiling lamps because she could use them as spotlights for deciding what to wear each day.

The head of house (Marcus Flint) called the house together after everyone's first day of lessons.

"First years, well done on your first day. The robes you wear now will be what you wear for the rest of your time at Hogwarts. The quidditch lessons are tomorrow as you can see on your timetables. Remember, the Gryffindors are our enemies: no relationships with them, we support Proffesor Snape, Hufflepuffs are dumbos. Don't make friends with them, and Ravenclaws are goody two shoes. Stay clear of them. Second years..."

Aphrodite welled up with tears. It meant that she and Ares couldn't be together. Her heart would break!

She slipped out the room and into the dorm corridor. Hermes obviously noticed and (being the god of thieves) followed her without anyone acknowledging their disappearance.

He found the goddess of love sobbing her eyes out, against the bathroom door.

"It's the end of the world." Aphrodite whispered. "They limit love with no meaning they-" More sobbing occurred.

"Aphrodite. You are the goddess of love. Do you really think that they can stop you from loving Ares?"

She shook her head.

"Exactly. Follow your heart and-" Hermes broke off from a slap on his arm.

"Don't. You. DARE tell me what to do with my heart. You are a lowly messenger. You have NO right to tell me what to do. And don't even THINK about talking to me like a sibling. You are so much younger and more immature than I will EVER be!"

Hermes laughed. It was good to have the proper Aphrodite back. It was only a shame that Hephaestus wasn't there to be shouted at. That was always good entertainment back on Olympus.

"And don't you DARE think that you can replace Ares. I will NEVER love you."

"I wasn't thinking of it."

"Good."

Later that night on the dorms, (which Aphrodite shared with Hera) she lay back on her pillow trying to think about when the demigods would get bored and start wishing the gods to be back. Maybe then, should the deities re appear. She stretched out and prepared for her beauty sleep.

Breakfast the next day was similar to the day before. Aphrodite saw Professor Snape smile thinly at the first years. How wonderful it was to have so much attention.

The mascara on her emerald eyes glinted in the morning sun. Surprisingly enough, no one πš—πš˜πšπš’πšŒπšŽπš.

"Professor Sprout?" Aphrodite asked, "am I allowed to wear protective gloves?"

"My dear," her teacher said disapprovingly, "we are planting lettuce seeds for the kitchen. You won't need gloves today."

"But-"

"No buts. Off to your seat now."

The Previous goddess shuffled off.

Hi cupcakes. Another chapter completed. I have Athenas plan ready, but I have writers block for the rest of the fanfiction. I'm sorry about this inconvenience but if you have any suggestions for the storyline, please tell me. I might abandon this fanfic if I still have no inspiration for it.
