So, this is my first fanfiction, and first time writing anything in general. So please bear with me here, cause I got no clue what the heck I'm doing. First chapters are probably going to be real short. Whole story is going to be a pertemis, heavily based on Twisted Reality by Catastrophic Finale.

A small child, no more than 12, sat on the ground. Looking out over the sea. Although the waves always calmed him, his mind still lay in turmoil. He sighed, before hearing a soft breeze, announcing another presence. He quickly turned before bowing deeply.

"Milady Hestia, to what do I owe the pleasure?" He asked, slight annoyance lacing his otherwise completely respectful tone.

"Perseus'' came the reply from the brown haired goddess "How much longer must I tell you to drop the formalities?" she sighed "anyways, I am here to tell you that its time"

"Are you sure?" said the boy named Perseus "How have you managed it?"

"Come now, Percy. We have spoken about this for months. Of course I found someone" Hestia replied. Percy just sighed, for what felt like the 5th time that day "Who will train me then?"

"Artemis" Percy's eyes widened to roughly the size of dinner plates. "Artemis? You mean the MAN hating, feminist goddess of the moon?" Hestia merely nodded. "Uh, not to question you milady, but you do know that she has a habit for turning men into gerbils and feeding them to her wolves?" Percy asked nervously

Hestia just nodded. "She also has a reputation for training the most elite group of fighters in Olympian history. The Hunters of Artemis were feared throughout all of Greece. If anyone can train you to face your task, she can'' she said.

He looked thoughtful. " Milady, when does she arrive?" Hestia just gave him a look "Percy, she will arrive when she pleases. Although it might not take too long. She has always been curious, and she no doubt will want to know the maiden who I want her to train"

Percy paled. "What?" He shouted " You told her I am a girl?"

Hestia shook her head "No, I didn't specify your gender, nor anything about you. I just asked her to meet someone here at sometime. If she appears I need you to ask her how her day was in Latin. She will then know you"

Percy went silent, before nodding slowly "okay milady. I trust you." Hestia blushed. She always got flustered when someone complimented her. She flashed off, leaving Percy to his thoughts once more.

Percy then sat down, watching as Apollo dipped below the horizon. His thoughts quickly turned to his "training" with Artemis. He knew that he would probably be tortured rather than trained, but he swore to himself that he would bear through it with no complaints. After all, Hestia has never lead him astray, so why would she start now? No, He would make Hestia proud, He would show her that all of her sleepless nights that were spent worrying about him were not in vain. He felt immensely guilty about it, and even though Hestia tried to deny it, He knew exactly that she would often stay up until the early hours of the morning thinking of how to help him.

He sighed, again, and looked at the sky once more. He was surprised to see that the moon had already risen, shining a beautiful silver light. He stood up and turned towards his tent, his mind already starting to shut down. As he laid on his cot and feel asleep, he didn't hear the soft gasp that came from the entrance of his tent, nor did he see the flash of auburn hair.

Artemis was filled with curiosity. Her favorite aunt asked her to train someone but was very secretive on who she was." No matter" she thought "I can always find out about the girl later and then recruit her to my hunt. My numbers are down anyways" As she walked into her Hunters encampment, all she could think about was the mystery person. As she walked past the food tent her girls all greeted her. Some just waved, yelled greetings, while the older hunters still greeted her the traditional way with either a kiss on the cheek, or in Zoe and Phoebe's case, a kiss on the lips, as benefiting their long service to their patron.

One of the newer girls squeaked in surprise "Milady, I didn't know you guys were dating!" Artemis looked confused for a moment before laughing. "My dear Jasmine, we are not dating! In ancient Greece it was common for long time friend´s to greet each other with a kiss on the lips." She explained, still chuckling.

"Oh. M-my apologizes milady, I j-just thought…." Jasmine stuttered before trailing off, face burning in embarrassment. Artemis just waved her apology off. She then turned to her lieutenant and said "Zoe, I need to see you in my tent. The rest of you finish your dinner and then get ready for lights out. Tomorrow at 0600 we pack up and head to camp half blood." The Hunters groaned, muttering something along the lines of "flirtatious boys getting a free circumcision" before following Artemis orders.

Once Artemis entered her tent with her faithful lieutenant trailing behind. She sat down behind a table and gestured for Zoe to do the same. "Zoe, I have a solo hunt planned for the next couple days. I do not know how long I will be but I trust you can keep the girls occupied?"

Zoe nodded. "Of course, milady. What are you hunting?" Artemis stayed silent for a moment before answering "I was told Nevada and Arizona were having a monster infestation. Hestia also wants me to do her a favor."

Zoe looked surprised for a second "A favor milady? Will we be getting another member?" Artemis looked at the map tha lay on the table in front of her "That remains to be seen. Now, enough of this talk. Tell me, has anything out of the ordinary happened here"

Zoe immediately launched into a detailed report of all the goings on that have happened in the hunt, just as she had done for millennia. Artemis smiled "I'm glad to see you still got it. Well, I must pack for my hunt." Zoe stood up and walked to the door of the tent before Artemis stopped her "And lieutenant? Take the girls out into town would you? They need at least one day of rest." Zoe nodded "Of course milady. Good Hunting!"

Artemis got her bow, (a magnificent bow if she does say so herself) her hunting knives and rations for a month ready and waiting to be used. As she changed into her nightwear and laid in her bed to sleep, her mind once again turned to the mystery person who Hestia wanted her to train. Why would Hestia ask her to train someone? Often Hestia would alert Artemis to the location of a maiden being…. mistreated to put it mildly…. So Artemis would save her and dispatch those who were in the act of defiling a maiden. But that hasn't happened since the rise of feminism in the 20's, and never before has Hestia asked Artemis to train someone, not just save them.

Unless… no. Hestia would never break her oath. Maybe it's a maiden with extraordinary powers? One with such power that she could possibly hurt Artemis' hunt without realizing it? And Artemis had to train her first to keep her power under control? But that raises the question of who the child's godly parent is.

Artemis tossed and turned, thinking about this enigma until she couldn't take it anymore and got up. She was going to find out who in the name of Hades this girl was. She quickly changed into her hunting clothes, which just consisted of a sliver t shirt under a silver parka, silver jeans and silver combat boots. Small wonder why silver was her favorite color, with her being the godly representative of the moon.

As she flashed to the location provided by Hestia, her sharp eyes instantly saw signs of someone living there, but not in sight. The scruff on a log caused by a steeled toed boot, the crumbs of bread near the edge of a nearby cliff. All this she saw within a matter of milliseconds. Then she saw where exactly she was.

She was in a coniferous forest, near a cliff with a 90 degree angle straight down. If she didn't know better, she would have thought that she was in Norway with cliffs like that. As she looked around, she saw a flash of green. As she walked towards the source of the anomaly she noticed that it belong to a sea green tent.

She entered, eager to talk to the girl she was to train, only to see a male with the same physical description that Hestia provided her with. She thought that maybe he was the girl's brother and was about to turn him into a jackalope, only to see a picture of him and Hestia on what appeared to be a ferris wheel.

She gasped, before turning and running out of the tent. She couldn't believe that Hestia was making her train a male, a son of Poseidon no less, judging by the color of the tent. Hestia must know her track record with sons of Poseidon wasn't great. Artemis flashed off, detrimined to find out why the Hades Hestia was making her train a disgusting male.
