The Aura Guardian: Part 2

New Beginnings

Ash woke up in the morning to the smell of bacon. He opened his eyes and saw his mother cooking bacon in a frypan, while his Blaziken and Infernape took turns exchanging Flamethrowers in order to keep the fire going. Shaking May awake, the couple got up and began to help make breakfast for the Pokemon who inhabited their home away from home, the Indigo Plateau Nature Preserve. Ash gazed over and noticed that his adopted sister's two new Pokemon, Riolu and Elekid were cuddling with each other while a sleeping Alexa held onto a Metapod.

Upon awakening, Alexa rubbed her eyes and saw the new Pokemon that she held in her arms. "Oh my god! Caterpie must have evolved last night!" She exclaimed with joy, hugging her new cocoon-like Pokemon. "I'm so proud of you!" The teen was amazed at the sight of the rock-hard Pokémon, running about the camp showing it off to Delia, Paul, Dawn, Ritchie and the couple of Ash and May. Ruffling the teen's hair, her adoptive brother informed her that before she knew it, Metapod, along with many of the other Pokémon she would catch on this new journey as a trainer, would reach their full potential in no time while under her guidance.

Ash and the gang set up a large picnic blanket within the grassy field they resided in. On top of it, the group of seven ate breakfast, while all of the trainer's Pokemon ate their food, along with Dawn's poffins. Ash and May quickly ate their bacon and pancakes asking for seconds, while Paul tried to be romantic and feed his new girlfriend Dawn a strawberry.

"Hey Paul," Ritchie said with a grin, placing a head on his shoulder. "Will you feed me a st-WA-be-wy. Pweeeessssse." Dawn placed a hand over her mouth to stifle a laugh.

"Sure Ritchie," Paul said in an agitated tone, shoving a handful of unripened strawberries down Ritchie's throat causing him to gag, sending the group into a fit of laughter.

Two weeks had passed since the Battle of the Warehouse, and Ash and Friends were enjoying their off-time on the Plateau. Ash was not only relieved that his friends and family were safe from harm, but every trainer who had betrayed him all those years ago were locked up, and weren't getting released any time soon. Eventually, news of the Warehouse Battle broke out across the region, making Ash and Company revered as Hero's across the Kanto Region, along with the rest of the Pokemon World. The notorious leader, who stood up against Tobias and his Darkrai with the Legend Mewtwo, certainly drew in even more crowds to watch the Indigo All-Star Tournament.

In the aftermath of the battle, Ash added a brand new friend to his team, Tobias's Darkrai. While the Mythical shared a trouble past alongside the villainous trainer, it was ready to start anew, with the hopes of bringing good to the world. Additionally, Mewtwo, a Pokemon who Ash had befriended years ago in a mission on Rocket Territory, made its presence known to the world once more. Having two powerful Legendary Pokemon in his arsenal only made Ash's popularity in the Indigo All-Star Tournament increase even more, as he became a fan favorite to win the Indigo Crown.

'However, Ash Ketchum isn't the only shining star in this Indigo All-Stars Tournament. How about we tune into his girlfriend May, as she competes in the Fifth Round!'
