Ginopippofreebooter: You'll just have to wait and see what happens.
-17th of Mid Year, 4th Era 202-
This day started as calm and peaceful, but that soon changed drastically when Skyrim itself began to tremble. Throughout Skyrim, people were looking at the Throat of the World, which was covered in dark clouds. Sometimes the very earth shook and people could hear the vast echoes of Dragon Shouting. Guards were praying for the Dovahkiin. Children were clinging towards their parents. Even nature itself stopped in its tracks. Even the animals in the forests know about the sheer magnitude of the battle that is taking place. Dragons were scattered all over Skyrim, High Rock and Morrowind, using all of their senses to monitor the battle.
All were paying attention to this fight.
Rahgol grunted as he rolled across the ground after being tail smacked in the chest by Alduin. "Strong as you may be compared to when we met...but you are still a weak mortal shell of a Dovah!" Alduin roared as she took a deep breath. "YOL TOOR SHUL!"
"Woah!" Rahgol rolled out the way to avoid being burned to a crisp.
"Dovahkiin, use Dragonrend if you know it!" Paarthurnax called down from the sky before he tackled Alduin who snarled and started fighting her former brother.
"Daar los ni hin krif, vax!" Alduin snarled as the two Dragons bit and clawed at each other.
"Rok los dii kul! Zu'u fen kriist voth mok, orin wah hi briinah!" Paarthurnax roared back as he tail smacked Alduin in the face and with a flap of his wings he went backwards just as Rahgol shouted.
"JOOR ZAH FRUL!"
The blue enegry of the Shout slammed into Alduin, causing her to roar in rage before she was forced down to Earth.
"I wish you could feel what kind of pressue this puts on me. you think we Dov are monsters...when YOUR kind created THIS?!" Alduin snarled before she lunged and tried getting Rahgol into her jaws but he rolled out the way and landed a slice across her jaw but it didn;t effect her badly as she just snarled before trying to stomp on Rahgol who avoided it and kept slashing at her when he had the chance before he shouted.
"FUS RO DAH!" The Unrelenting Force energy slammed into Alduin, stronger than it used to be, knocking her off her feet and allowing Rahgol to run up and jumped onto her side, sword in hand but Alduin used her tail to smack him off her side.
"Sorry Rahgol, but you are a weak mortal to get on top of me like that." She taunted him with a smirk.
"WULD!" In a blink of an eye, Rahgol was right in front of Alduin and he thrusted my blade towards her. However, she had extreme reflexes and quickly moved her head, making him miss! She quickly turned around, swiping her massive tail at Rahgol. but he ducked it, only for Alduin to swing her tail again and get a hit on him again.
"You are very bit as weak as the mortals you defend!" Alduin roared as she tried crushing Rahgol with her tail but he kept rolling and dodging her tail before leaping over an attempted swipe of her claws.
"My friends are the source of my strength." Rahgol said before dodging an attempted chomp of her jaws and he leaped onto her neck, bringing his Daedric sword into her neck and she roared in pain before grabbing his foot in her mouth and bit down hard, causing him to yell in pain before she threw hima cross the snowy ground. Alduin chuckled as she licked his blood on her tongue then looked at the wound he gave her.
"Not bad for a mortal, perhaps you should've spent more time growing in combat than learning Words!" Alduin mocked.
Rahgol got to his feet and glared at her. "And perhaps YOU should have spent more time in a library."
Paarthurnax slammed into Alduin and held her down but Alduin roared. "SU GRAH DUN!" Faster than Rahgol could comprehend, she used her wing to slice Paarthurnax' stomach open. He roared in pain. It seemed Dragonrend became weaker and weaker and her power is so fast, she can easily contain this Shout!
"FUS RO DAH!" She roared, blasting Paarthurnax against the mountain. A few stones fell on top of him. Rahgol growled, seeing the blue, hectic glow dissipating.
Alduin turned to him and growled. "DIE!" she went for a tail smack but faked it so Rahgol could jump, allowing her to smack her foot into him which sent him down to the ground hard. He groaned and coughed, seeing pieces of his armour broken but Daedric armour was stronger than normal flew into the air and did a backwards somersault, slapping me in the air with her tail.
Rahgol could see the difference between fighting a lesser Dragon and fighting Alduin herself. Alduin was vastly superior than her underlings, more skilled, more stronger. She is the Firstborn after all and the most dangerous of all Dragons.
Rahgol looked up and saw Alduin coming in for a dive, her jaws opened. ""YOL TOOR SHUL!" He roared, while breathing fire in her mouth. he saw her flinching, but she still bashed her jaw against him.
"TIID KLO UL!" While still being airborne, Rahgol managed to almost stop time. He slashed Dawnbreaker at her, creating a small cut in her neck. He slowly fell down and safely landed on the ground. When the Shout power died down, Rahgol saw Alduin turning towards me.
"Not bad. I must admit, i'm impressed, Rahgol. You aren't the same boy i saved nearly a year ago. But still, you are no match for me." Rahgol saw her flapping her wings more quickly, and suddenly he saw massive pillars of turquoise ice forming in front of her.
"What the hell!?" Rahgol yelled in disbelief. Alduin smirked, fully enjoying his surprise, disbelief and fear.
"Fool! I am AL-DU-IN! Firstborn of Akatosh! The Aedric Goddess of Destruction! You think I was only capable of using the Thu'um!? Take this!" With amazing speed, she blasted the pillars of turquoise ice towards Rahgol. The air suddenly felt colder than ever, as if the pillars froze the air itself.
"WULD!" Rahgol quickly dodged the attacks, but he almost lost his balance when the pillars collided with the ground. He felt his warmth leaving his body, like the ice had frozen it all, then saw Alduin dive-bombing towards him again. "Take this!" He threw Dawnbreaker end over end at her, and because of her momentum, she couldn't dodge it. Dawnbreaker got stuck in her wing, and he heard her growl.
"You dropped something!" With a swipe of her wing, the blade flew back towards Rahgol. He looked alarmed, quickly unsheathing his Daedric sword and parrying the blow.
"JOOR ZAH FRUL!" Alduin made an elegant spin, dodging his Shout.
"Is that all you got?!" She mocked him. "Getting tired?!"
"I can go all night if I have to!" Rahgol shouted at her.
Alduin smirked in an almost seductive manner. "Now you're getting my attention. YOL TOOR SHUL!"
"Woah!" Rahgol avoided the fire and looked up in time to see Alduin doing it again but he shouted back. "FO KRAH DIIN!" His Shout managed to block her attack, but he couldn't push through her. Her Thu'um is still more powerful.
Summoning fire in one hand and Sparks in the other, Rahgol unleashed both on her then changed to fireballs and Ice Spikes to use, shooting them rapidly at her, one got her in the face and she growled at the pain before swiping her tail through the snow which went flying at a surprised Rahgol and got him in the eye.
"Fuck!" Rahgol yelled as he clutched his eye. He had no time to recover as Alduin wrapped her tail around him and slammed him into the ground multiple times before picking him up with one of her front legs and then slammed him into the ground hard. Alduin wrapped her tail around his ankle, slammed him into the rocks, then lifted him up high before bringing him down hard on the snowy ground.
Rahgol didn't move as Alduin leaned her head in close, using her tail to wrap around his waist and lift him up, bringing him close to her face to see if he was-
"YOL TOOR SHUL!"
Alduin roared as the powerful fire breath smacked into her face and she dropped Rahgol who coughed, smirking at what he did there. Alduin shook it off before glaring darkly at Rahgol who just got to his feet, breathing heavily.
"I can do this all day." He panted.
Alduin scoffed. "I doubt you can. WULD NAH KEST!" With her speed, she was right before Rahgol who blinked, before Alduin scopped him into her claw tightly and slammed him repeatedly into the ground like she just did not that long ago. Rahgol tried hitting her with his swords but he was growing weaker as she kept slamming him into the ground.
Alduin slammed him into the ground and dragged him through the snow hard but he managed to turn in her grip and shout. "KRII LUN AUS!" Alduin roared in pain from the Shout and she threw him to the ground. Alduin growled, feeling the life sucking Shout working on her body. She concentrated his Magicka, pushing the Shout off of her. She saw a bloodied Rahgol in front of him.
"JUST DIE!" She roared, fed up with this. Why won't he die?!
"Alduin...stop...please." Rahgol weakly pleaded. "This...it won't...solve anything."
Alduin roared and charged at him but he was able to grab Dawnbreaker in time and slash her claw but she whirled around and tail smacked him into the wall hard. Rahgol coughed in pain, spitting blood out.
"You may be a Dovahkiin...and perhaps my father added something else to you, but you still need to unlock that! Your feeble mortal self cannot unlock your full potential!" Alduin roared as she leaped into the air, her tail glowing with Turquoise light. She ascended and made a diagonal swipe with her tail, creating a massive blade of Magicka. Rahgol quickly shot a lightning storm at the blade, but his attack got ripped apart. Suddenly, Paarthurnax appeared again and used his Fire Breath to push the blade of energy away from him, letting it fall down the mountain and hitting it somewhere on the ground below.
"Good thing you showed up again." Rahgol said, falling on his knees and panting heavily. Paarthurnax nodded, while glaring at Alduin, who didn't look very happy.
"I told you to stay out of this! This is between me and him!" She shouted at her brother.
Paarthurnax stood firm.
"If there's one thing the joorre showed me, then its friendship. You will never understand real friendship while you're living the way you are now. I will oppose you." That stuck a nerve, because Alduin rushed towards Paarthurnax, slashing her talons against his face and slamming him back on the ground when he tried to fly away.
"I have no need for friends!" Alduin roared before she stalked towards Rahgol since Paarthurnax was out for the count.
"Alduin-GAH!" Rahgol was cut off from speaking when Alduin slashed her talons across his armour, breaking the Daedric armour into pices and cutting his chest before she slammed him to the floor and pinned him with her claw. She snarled then grabbed him and threw him towards the side of the mountain. His knee collided with the surface, making him scream in pain. He tried to get up, but she threw him back on the snow. Alduin then pushed her foot on his chest. Rahgol screamed in agony, feeling the amazing amount of pressure. His ribs began to crack, and he had a hard time breathing. Alduin then grabbed him, and slammed him on the ground again.
Alduin pushed her leg off him and watched him lay there as the snow fell around them. Her eyes narrowed when she noticed Rahgol starting to move but barely. She shook her head.
"Why, Dovahkiin? Why? Why? Why do you do it? Why? Why get up? Why keep fighting?" She asked with a snarl as Rahgol winced, feeling three possibly broken ribs. "Is it freedom or truth? Perhaps peace? Could it be for love?! Why Rahgol? WHY? WHY DO YOU PERSIST?!"
Rahgol finally got to his feet and looked her in the eye. "Because I choose to. Because...I want to help you." He coughed and spat blood out, "We've both ahd fucked up childhoods, me with being abused by everyone...you with neglect and misguidance...yet no matter what we always seemed connected since meeting. I have learned to respect you...even l-" He paused and shook his head. "I never asked to be Dragonborn, I didn't ask FOR ANY OF THIS!" He took a few deep breaths and looked at her, seeing her soft expression and vulnerable look in her eyes. "Alduin...let me help you, what do you say?"
Alduin was silent as she stared at him and closed her eyes, feeling tears at his words. Her mother's words about love coming to her mind. Did he...did he feel for her like that? Did she? He had proven he was strong and had potential to grow stronger, maybe just as strong as her and be her equal...but she couldn't!
"Would you risk your life for me? After everything I have done?" She asked softly, looking him in the eyes.
"Yes." Rahgol nodded firmly. "You saved my life numerous times...I want to repay that favour by helping you."
Alduin looked down before she felt her rage return and the ground shook in response. "NO! YOU ARE TRYING TO TRICK ME!" She flew into the air, glaring down at Rahgol. "It's time we end this once and for all! But not here. Let's have a little piece of irony, shall we? on the 17th of the Last Seed, the very date I saved your miserable life last year...I will declare war on Skyrim! My Dragons will destroy everything and wipe out every last stinking mortal ant...unless you arrive in Sovngarde and face me for the final time before the countdown of that days comes to an end. I will wait, devouring the souls there and regrowing my strength...I want you at your strongest and more powerful than you are right now."
"alduin don't!" Rahgol yelled at her.
"If you truly want to save this world, then you just have to accept my challenge! The countdown to Armageddon, has begun." There was a storm around the Monahven, but it died down when she flew away.
"Fuck!" Rahgol yelled, throwing Dawnbreaker to the ground and fell to his knees, pain racking his body from the fight he had. Casting a healing spell over himself, Rahgol felt all his serious wounds heal up until he felt better and normal.
Paarthurnax got to his feet, groaning in pain before he walked over to Rahgol and laid down beside him, wrapping his tail around him and bringing him close as they both recovered from the fight.
"Lot grah. You truly have the Voice of a Dovah. However, we cannot celebrate this victory." He said.
"We have only two months before she begins her destruction." Rahgol said with a sigh. "No matter how much Words I know...she's still the strongest. I can't beat her."
"True, but not even the heroes of old were able to fight Alduin in open battle like you just did. That is a victory and a praise itself. You managed to breach through her ideals, which is surprising. Why do you want to save her so badly?"
Rahgol sighed. No point in hiding it anymore. "I love her, dad. I've fallen in love with that damn, beautiful Dragoness that just tried to kill me."
"And you are not the first to fall in love with her. Many Dov have fallen for her looks and power. Yet, she never wanted anything to do with love, unlike her mother. However, I do see something bright up in her when she fought you. She is conflicted with emotions. You have taken over a soft spot in her heart, but she refuses to belief it."
"I do not love her because of her power, or looks. Well… her looks do help though… I don't really understand why I love her. It's like my love of her is just an instinct." Rahgol said, then saw Paarthurnax looking at him straight in the eye.
"Krosis, I don't want to say it but I need to. You cannot get distracted by your emotions, because she still has her eyes set on killing you, even though she may love you back. She was never good with feelings. Do not let your love for her cloud your judgment. The world is more important than your love, how cruel that may sound."
"I don't know how to get to Sovngarde...and i don't want to die just now." Rahgol said.
"you have two months left to grow stronger and skilled to defeat her for good." Paarthurnax said firmly. "I will teach you what you need to know."
"there is something that she said that may be true though." Rahgol said as Alduin's words of him being a shell of a Dovah came to mind. "I'm too restricted and restrained in human form." He looked up at Paarthurnax firmly.
"I think it's time I go true to the Dragonborn name and learn how to become a Dragon..."
DUN! DUN! DUUUUUUUUUUN! Rahgol and Alduin battled, both getting their hits in but Alduin proved herself to be superior as she is a Goddess. But now, her words have been a little piece of advice to Rahgol. He wants to learn how to become a Dragon! Now, I know there's probably noa ctual shout for that, so could anyone give ideas on just HOW Rahgol can become a dragon at will?
