While these kind of animals were not as tough as gorillas were, chimpanzees are definitely strong animals that can kill small animals with their immense strength. Even though Kion and Rani had just met Kutojali and his gang of chimps, they can already tell this big ape was bad news already. Perhaps Sokwe and the other gorillas were right about these chimpanzees being scum and bad news to animals everywhere. "Look, you kids, we just want to make it real simple," said Kutojali. "Just go back to that cave of your gorilla buddies, and tell Sokwe that I have a score to settle with him."

Kion and Rani gave him a glare and the male cub said: "You want revenge on him or something?"

Kutojali sneered at them both and said: "These gorillas think they are the lords of these mountains, but we chimps are smarter than those guy, smarter than any of you!"

"You guys are the worst!" said Rani.

"It's nothing really to do with you kids." the chimp remarked. "I really admire animals of royal heritage, but I am not afraid to use my teeth as my weapons on you both."

Glaring some more, Kion said: "Fine, we'll tell the gorillas. just don't hurt my Rani!"

the female lion blushed by called that and was flattered as well. "my Rani" she thought. "He does love me."

"Very well. you have my words, my dear friends." Kutojali had his hands behind his back, looking sly and sneaky. "Just tell Sokwe what I said."

"We'll tell him." said Kion. "Come on, Rani. "Let's go tell the others."

"Right sweetie. Right behind you." the lioness replied.

both of the lions rushed back to Sokwe's home to inform everyone else what they had encountered near the hot springs.

"Sokwe!" said Kion

"Sokwe, we have a problem." Rani added.

"What is it, children?" asked the wise gorilla.

"we got a problem."

"What is the problem?"

"It's Kutojali." both cubs remarked.

Sokwe and his boys had a look of surprise on their faces and exclaimed: "Kutojali?" then the gorilla leader made a serious and stern look on his face. "Did he and his chimpanzee family hurt you?"

"No." Kion said

"Good. Where are they?" asked Majinuni.

"Near the hot springs." Rani replied.

"Excuse me," said Kiara. "Who's Kutojali?"

"The group of chimps that I told you about. Kutojali is the leader of those outcasts. They have no regards for other animal life but themselves."

"Should we take care of them?" asked Kovu.

"What exactly did they want?" asked Hafifu

"Kutojali said he wanted to settle a score with your dad." Kion said. "Like he wanted revenge. it sounded like he had a personal vendetta towards you."

"Well, it wouldn't surprise me." said Sokwe. "Thoae chimps don't know when to give up or call it quit."

"Should I get my rifle with me just in case?" Joel suggested. "From what I've seen, chimps are unpredictable and they have been known to kill their own young."

"really?" asked Chris

"Oh yes." said Majinuni. "never trust a chimpanzee as pops said before."

"I don't want them to tear me to shreds." the human boy sounded scared and clutched to Kion for protection. I've heard about a woman who got her face ripped apart from having a chimpanzee in her house."

"Don't worry Chris." said Kovu. "they won't rip your face apart. We won't let them."

"Yeah, if they want to try and mess with our friends, they'll have to go through us first." Kiara added."

"And your old man, sport." Joel said. "No dangerous animal can withstand a bullet from my rifle." he cocked it to prove his point.

"I would stay your weapon if I were you, Joel." Sokwe gently intervened. "Kill one member of their family, then the rest of them will come after you."

"Yeah, the last time one member of the chimpanzee family was killed... let's just say Old Tiga stood at least one minute against them by himself. When we buried him a few hours later."

"Hafifu!" said Sokwe. "Do not frighten our guests."

They all followed Sokwe outside in the snow and they went to the hot springs where the chimps were waiting for them all. "Ah! there you are, old bean." said the leader, looking smug and arrogant to his gorilla rival.

"You have a lot of nerve threatening to lay a harmful opposable thumb on these children. "You mess with my friends, you mess with me."

"But haven't you forgotten, Sokwe?" he walked over to him in a casual, haughty manner. "We have our own sides of the mountain. You stay on that side, we stay on this one."

"Tch.. haven't you forgotten, old bean?" said the gorilla leader, "the springs are for everyone. They border out territories."

The other chimps looked at the humans and a couple of them couldn't help but come up to them curiously, and they were observing Chris since he us about the same height as many of these apes. "Ooh, are you an ape?" said a male

"He doesn't look like any ape i've ever seen before." a female added.

"Let's wrestle with him!" said a third chimp before the others agreed.

"No! wait!" Chris said.

Joel, be the loving father he was, pulled out his gun to intervene, but Sokwe stopped them. "Stop! that's enough! leave the human boy alone!"

The chimps were frightened by Sokwe and his booming voice, and immediately backed off.

"Look, let's get this over with." the gorilla king readied hia knuckles (both hands and feet).

Kutojali smiled evily and pounded the ground with his fists. "You're going down to bone town." he boasted.

The gorillas on one side were hooting and howling in low voices, while the chimps on the opposing side were pounding the palms of their hands on the ground while screeching loudly and barring their scary teeth.

Sokwe and Kutojali glared at one another for a brief minute on this one-on-one match. Then, it happened: Sokwe pounded his chest with his hands in a low yell, and Kutojali the same in a high-pitch screech.

They charged at one another and clashed with a loud thump heard like a bone had broken. They were biting and punching ajd scratching one another.

It was getting ugly and Sokwe picked up Kutojali like he weighed nothing and threw him into a snow pile.

Coming out of the snowy knoll while fuming. "Alright! now i'm mad!" he exclaimed. They charged at one another again and it was becoming extremely violent.

Kion, Chris, and the others looked surprised at how ugly this fight was getting. Despite this, Kion and Rani knew that Sokwe would win since gorillas were far larger than chimpanzees and their lanky appearance.
