MHA: ORIGNS

Chapter 1

AN: Hello everyone. This is my first MHA fanfiction and one I just had to get out of my head. Anyway this story Origins is not a full story but will instead be a series of one shots where Izuku develops different powers. I don't actually have the time to develop any more full stories at the moment so this will have to do. That said while I might come back to stories later feel free to continue them yourselves, in fact consider it an official challenge from me. If you take it up just please inform me so that I can read it myself. The only rule is Izuku is straight but other than that go nuts.

This first one is a cross over with Yuyu Hakusho in which Izuku is the son of Hiei. Please enjoy and tell me what you think

Start Now:

In a two-bedroom apartment in Musutafu, Japan a woman could be seen sitting at a table a cup of tea cooling in front of her. The woman had shoulder length green hair with a ponytail on the left and vivid green eyes with though sitting it was clear she was beginning to put on a bit of weight. The woman, Inko Midoriya sighed as picked up her tea and took a sip before placing it back down. The past two years had been hard, especially on her son who had been diagnosed as quirkless. Born in a superhuman society where 80% of the world's population had some kind of power had resulted in those who didn't have one to have rather hard lives. The world reacted differently to these people though commonly aside from being pitied these people were generally considered weak or worthless. For her son it had resulted in him becoming the subject of mockery and prejudice and though he tried to hide it she knew he'd become the target of bullying which had begun at the tender age of just 4 years old.

She would admit to few people that she felt responsible for it as she had neglected to train her own quirk when she was younger as she'd had no interest in heroics. Unfortunately since she was younger society had changed massively and now there wasn't a greater field to go into in the minds of kids. Heroes in this society are individuals who are licensed to use their Quirks to protect civilians from Villains, natural disasters, and/or any other kind of harm. Something that had emerged at the dawn of the era when the number of quirked individuals had grown too large, and the society of the time had broken down. She had never really cared one way or another for pro heroes but conversations with Izuku's father during their courting period had revealed he had a rather low opinion of them, considering them little more than mercenaries who sought fame and fortune.

In the conversations to follow she herself had begun to see what he and his friends saw in the society and couldn't help but agree. Then a young All Might emerged and though no one had known it at the time he would grow to become an inspiration for entire generations. He was her son's favorite hero, and she would admit the only one that she herself actually liked a true hero in every sense of the word. Her son Izuku had seen his debut video maybe five hundred times by now and all he wanted was to grow up and save people with a smile like his idol. Unfortunately he was quirkless and that was but a pipe dream, one that had absolutely zero chance of happening in this quirk focused society. She wished that there was something that she could do to help him, but the doctor had dashed not just Izuku's hopes but her own as well without mercy. Sighing again she wondered what Izuku's father would do at a time like this and as the thought hit her she froze eyes widening as a memory hit her.

Not far into her pregnancy she'd been informed that this could happen as Izuku could take after his father who had a power of his own and had scoffed at the power of quirks calling most of them weak or worthless. Scrambling from her seat she rushed into her room and her closet and began digging through it quickly. Outside of her best friend very few people knew that she was never actually married, it had been Mitsuki's idea so no one would thing of her as a whore getting pregnant out of wedlock.

It wasn't like she went around have sex with just anyone like some of the girls did today, but it had been a necessary ruse as had the lie that he'd moved to America for work. Eventually she found a lockbox and pulled it out placing it on her bed. Opening it quickly she breathed a sigh of relief at the sight of a single picture and clipped to it was a scrap of paper with a phone number written down. Taking a breath to slow her heart she removed the paper and after returning to the living room took a seat on the couch before picking up the phone and dialing listening with bated breath as the line rung.

"Tamashi Temple, Yukina speaking." Came a young sounding voice from the other side.

"Hello my name is Inko Midoriya…"

Izuku Midoriya winced as he dragged himself up the stairs towards his apartment door. His round face framed by a short mess of fluffy dark-green hair which sticks up at odd angles around his head, casting noticeably dark shadows onto itself. His eyes are large and somewhat circular, with irises the same green color as his hair. He had just come from school where he had to stop his once friend turned bully Katsuki Bakugo from beating up on someone only for Katsuki and his lackeys to jump him beating him until they got bored and left. He had eventually managed to pick himself up and had stopped to clean himself up before finally making his way home. Opening the door he was greeted to the sight of his mother in the living room causing him to blink as he usually beat her home. Upon spotting him she rushed over and swept him into a hug which he quickly found himself relaxing within. Before he knew it he was deposited on the couch and handed a sandwich which he was quick to devour. As he finished his mother returned and took the seat next to him but turned so that she could look at him with a weird expression on her face.

"Izuku honey I know things have been hard for the last few years. When the doctor said you were quirkless I felt like it was my fault. I never trained my quirk growing up so I thought maybe you didn't have one because I was too weak to pass it on." Said his mother her eyes watering though she forced back the tears.

"Mom I…" started Izuku only for her to place a finger on his lips and silence him.

"It's my fault Izuku. I forgot your father told me this might happen; his power wasn't derived from a quirk, and he said you may take after him." Revealed his mom causing his eyes to widen in shock.

"I talked to some people today, your dad's sister and his friends. They have agreed to teach you, help you come into your powers. You will need to work hard both in your studies and in your training, but they promised that it would help you. The question is do you still want to become a hero?"

By the end Izuku hadn't even realized that tears had started falling until he was literally crying in his mother's arms but despite this he could only answer one way and repeatedly say yes.

By the end of the next week things had moved quickly, Izuku had been withdrawn from his school and Inko had been transferred to a hospital closer to where they would be staying. Their apartment had been packed up with all of their things placed into a moving truck. The truck was being driven by Katsuki's dad Masaru while he and his mom were riding with his mom Mitsuki. The last bit of time had been odd between them, Katsuki had apparently learned from his parents that Izuku had taken after his father who instead of having a quirk was something called a psychic. Psychics were all different in terms of powers but all of them had to work hard for their power as it wasn't something that just developed like quirks. Though there were undoubtedly some people with quirks who were psychics they didn't tend to flaunt their powers like heroes and some actively looked down on pro heroes.

Regardless it took nearly two hours driving to reach the Nara Prefecture and nearly another thirty minutes from there before they reached their destination. The kids of course fell asleep long before that point and when they woke up it was to find them sitting in front of a long stairway that went up a mountain. Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes Izuku looked up just in time to see a small group of people all of them men coming down the stairs, one had bright red hair that he wore long, another had purple hair in a mohawk, another had short cut black hair and another with short reddish orange hair. The men were quickly introduced as Kurama, Chu, Yusuke and Kuwabara. The last one was apparently his uncle as he married his dad's sister.

Between the four men they had amazingly had the moving truck unloaded and placed in a room atop the stairs within thirty minutes. His group were directed up the stairs upon their arrival which took quite a while as there were many, many stairs to climb and even Masaru had been tired upon reaching the top. At the top they were greeted by a pretty woman with bright blue hair who introduced herself as Botan who escorted them to a room were more women could be seen seated. The women were introduced as Genkai the places owner, and the eldest of the group, Keiko Yusuke's wife and Yukina who was apparently Izuku's aunt. The adults made small talk until the guys came in with another man this one with short brown hair with a tattoo of the word Jr on his forehead that was introduced as Koenma. Most of the group was young looking as if they were barely in their twenties, except for Chu who looked like he could be in his late twenties or even early thirties and of course Genkai who was clearly a grandma though didn't really move like it from what he could see.

"So this is Hiei's kid huh, got to admit I'm surprised." Said Chu looking at Izuku.

"I though his dad's name was Hisashi." Said Masaru.

"Hisashi was an alias. One of many Hiei used back when he didn't want to be tracked or bothered." Said Kurama

"Where is he anyway?" questioned Mitsuki frowning.

"He left Japan years ago. He currently works as a bodyguard to a king and the assignment doesn't end for another year." Explained Kurama surprising the group.

"I called him, so he knows you're here. He'll come once his job is done." Said Yukina.

"Is he really that powerful. I know he left because he was worried people would come after me, but he was never one to flaunt his power." Said Inko

"Hiei is incredibly powerful and is part of what we call the S-class, the most powerful in our ranking system." Said Koenma.

"In terms you would understand S-class warriors such as Hiei, Yusuke and Kurama would all be considered on the same level as All Might." Explained Genkai stunning the group.

"Impossible, no one is better than All Might!" exclaimed Katsuki

"No one is unbeatable, but we aren't talking about who would win in a fight just levels of ability. Just based on what is known about All Might's speed and strength I am guessing he would be the equivalent of an S-class if he ever went all out." Explained Genkai

The Bakugos stayed for about another hour before they had to leave. They were offered a room for the night but turned it down stating that it was still early enough so that they could get home and turn in the truck. Mitsuki and Inko had a tearful parting but promised to keep in touch with each other. Izuku had gotten a hug from Mitsuki and Masaru though things were no where near well enough for one from Katsuki. Instead the boy had simply stated if he didn't get stronger he shouldn't bother coming back. Once they were gone being escorted down by Chu and Kuwabara the room seemed to relax as if the group had been holding their breath the entire time. It wasn't until the two men had returned a few minutes later however that things began to pick up.

In the conversation that followed he learned some startling truths. First that demons were real and that his father was not only a demon but an upper level one. They explained that demons have their own world and Hiei had returned to the Demon World to act as a guard to its current king, though another would be chosen in the next tournament in a few years. Demons however were a lot like humans in that there were some good ones, some bad ones and some that were just trying to live their lives. Yukina like her brother was a demon however unlike her brother who was a Fire Demon, Yukina took after her mother and was an Ice Demon. Chu was also a demon though you wouldn't know it by appearance as he doesn't have a 'demon form'. Kurama and Yusuke were both half demon's like Izuku apparently was though their circumstances were different. Keiko, Genkai and Kuwabara however were all human while Botan and Koenma were both Spirit's and resided in the Spirit World and helped manage the afterlife.

The information had of course rocked the senses of the two Midoriya's, but it was explained that this was information that was kept from the normal populace for a good reason. Koenma revealed that Quirks had come about because an artifact had been stolen from the Spirit Word and its contents had been spilled in the Human World jump starting the next step in human evolution several centuries early. After that they were informed that his father had sealed placed a seal on him while he was still in development that basically sealed away his demonic power. They had managed to find the seal on the back of his neck and Genkai had been able to break it easily, the results of which left Izuku unconscious.

"Did you feel the power combing off of him?' questioned Chu.

"Low C-Class easily." Said Kuwabara

"Energy wise he's got more than Hiei had when we first met." Said Yusuke.

"Granted Hiei was coming off of the Jagan implantation. It dropped his power from A-Class to D-Class." Said Kurama.

"Regardless training this kid is going to be fun." Said Yusuke

8 Years Later

A 14-year-old Izuku could be seen walking down the streets of Mustafu on his way home. He had grown well over the last 8 years thanks in no small part due to his diet and training taller than both of his parents. His father Hiei was only 4'10 and his mom was 5'3 while Izuku himself was 5'5. Thanks to his training his body was covered in muscles though they were more compact than bulging allowing him to still cut a lean figure. He had cut his hair so short so that it resembled teen Gohan's from Dragon Ball Z almost as soon as he left the temple to live here. The return to Mustafu had been his mother's idea as she'd wanted him to get used to interacting with kids his own age again as he'd spent the last few years pretty much in isolation as far as other kids were concerned.

He had been enrolled in Aldera Junior High on the basis that it was the school Katsuki went to. Things had however gotten off to a rocky start as the teachers had quickly pointed out his quirkless status which had backfired spectacularly when he proved to be the strongest person in the school. He'd quickly discovered some of the teachers had it in for him, but he'd figured out a work around quickly enough. As it was his reputation at the school was only saved by his personality and the fact that he was in the number one spot in the rankings.

At the moment none of that really mattered to him instead his focus was on getting home as he'd just seen a short confrontation between a group of heroes and a small-time villain. It had been the first time he'd actually gotten to see such a thing in person and as such he couldn't wait to get home and jot down everything he saw in one of his notebooks. The notebooks had been an idea from his uncle Kurama to help with his analytical skills. In them he broke down everything he knew about a subject's quirk and abilities and figured out weakness and ways to improve them. He was now on notebook number 14 and his mind was swimming with the information he would be adding to Kamui Woods and the debuting Mt. Lady who'd swooped in at the last second to steal the spotlight.

Finally he reached his home which was a two story four-bedroom house with three and a half bathrooms. The top floor contained his and his mom's bedrooms which both had attached full bathrooms while the ground floor had his mom's office and a guest room. It also had a basement that they had turned into a small gym and the back had a two-car garage and a jacuzzi that could fit 8 people. His mom over the last few years had quit her job and written a pair of books both of which had become best sellers.

Her first book Quirkless not Worthless had made a huge splash not just in Japan but world-wide and had been a real help in highlighting the mistreatment of the quirkless. Her second book had taken on the nature of their society and how they had stagnated in terms of progression worldwide as they focused too heavily on quirks. People had been trying to get her to sit down for interviews for years, but she refused unless it was strictly about her work as she didn't write the books for fame but to get the conversation going. He was really proud of his mom and all that she had done.

"I'm home!" called the boy as he entered the house.

His mother met him as he was switching his shoes for the slippers, and he reveled in the hug and the feelings it engulfed in him. When she released him he dashed up the steps to his room and retrieved one of his notebooks before racing back down and sitting on the couch with her. The T.V was background noise as his hand raced across the pages as he filled in his observations before finally he came to a stop and released his pencil with a sigh.

"So I take it you had a good day then." Said Inko her voice dripping with amusement.

The next day found Izuku sitting in his seat in the back of the class one earbud in with music playing low as he stared out of the window. Despite his position in the school he didn't really care about his teachers and if he was honest he'd rather go back to his home-schooling program. The teacher for this class was one who had tried to use his quirkless status as a source of ridicule in the past and as such Izuku really couldn't care less about him.

"You guys are all third years now so its time to start thinking seriously about your futures." Said the teacher managing to catch Izuku's attention.

"Now I'm supposed to hand these future career forms out, but I assume you all want to be heroes right." Said the man getting a cheer from the class as he tossed the forms away casually as many of the kids began showing off their quirks.

"Yes you all have wonderful quirks, but you know it's against the rules to use them in school." Said the teacher getting them to stop.

"Sensei don't lump me in with these losers!" came the brash voice of Katsuki causing Izuku to sigh and shake his head before turning his attention out of room again. He listed half heartedly as Bakugo began to brag and boast about himself and his quirk while the other students indulged him.

"Midoriya you're also going for U.A this year aren't you?" called the teacher causing Izuku to give him a disinterested glance before turning his attention away again.

"Midoriya is another show in!" exclaimed a student.

"Yeah he's number one in the entire school!" exclaimed another.

"The exam will probably be even easier for him than for everyone else." Said another and Izuku had to fight to hold in a smirk at the vein that began to pulse atop of Katsuki's head.

Predictably Katsuki's temper got the better of him and he began to lash out at him with his quirk only for Izuku to flip his desk and kick it at him hitting him in the face stopping him in his tracks.

"Deku" growled Katsuki only to freeze as Izuku stood from his with his hands going into his pockets.

"How many times do I have to tell you not to call me that Katsuki?" questioned Izuku his tone and face showing boredom.

"It's true I'm quirkless but I'm still better than you. You've got that mediocre explosion quirk but that doesn't take away from the fact that I'm smarter, stronger and faster than you." Said Izuku looking the blond in the eyes and ignoring the rest of the class who were holding their breaths as was the teacher.

"As for you ever becoming the Number One Hero get real. The day that happens will be the day that my faith in this society of ours dies a violent death. I'll admit you've got potential and with your ability you could perhaps climb to number 2 at best. Your personality however is shit and the number 1 hero needs to be able to not only fight but more importantly inspire others. That's why All Might is still number 1 despite the decline in his work rate and Endeavor is still number 2. As you are now I think you'd be so busy trying to fight someone and prove your strength you'd leave the civilians to their own devices expecting them to defend themselves." Said Izuku.

"So what! If they can't defend themselves then they're useless!" exclaimed Katsuki causing Izuku to narrow his eyes.

"Is my mom useless or your parents?" questioned Izuku causing Katsuki's eyes to narrow.

"Neither of our parents are heroes are they, they've never even trained their quirks for combat or they're not suitable for it. So if they were hurt in some random villain attack because the heroes on the scene didn't care about their wellbeing would that be their fault." Said Izuku causing Katsuki to scowl.

"Grow up." Said Izuku righting his desk and retaking his seat.

A few hours later Izuku could be seen walking down the street his backpack slung over one arm and phone in hand as he tried to find something to listen to. Tucking his phone in his pocket after finding a decent playlist and placing it on shuffle he looked up as a shadow engulfed him only for something to seize him from behind. Glancing back as he tried to fight himself free he saw his attacker seemed to be made up of some kind of liquid that actually made him feel better as in the next instant a wave of energy burst from his body causing the liquid to shatter and allowing him to drop. Hitting the ground he leapt forward and landed at least three feet away putting a decent amount of space between him and his captor.

"That was some trick brat, you'll make a better skin suit for me than I thought." Came the voice as the blob pulled itself back together.

Izuku scoffed he knew quite a few ways to handle someone like this none of which required physical force. Bringing his right hand up he held his index and middle fingers in front of his face while his other fingers were folded. Seeing this the slime creature lunged forward just as Izuku vanished from his sight and the manhole behind it was launched upwards. Appearing behind the blob Izuku's hand darted out and a ring of energy was launched from his fingers which slammed into the creature causing it to freeze in place.

"What is this!" exclaimed the blob.

"It's a binding spell. Your quirk like most others is run by energy. Of course you use this energy subconsciously but to someone like me who is trained in the manipulation of energy immobilizing someone such as you is simple. It also drains you of your energy while it runs so soon you'll be back to your normal size. It won't last forever but I'm sure some hero will be along soon to collect you. If not I can always place you under again." Said Izuku.

"Worry not young man, I am here." Spoke a voice behind him causing his eyes to widen.

Turning he was greeted to a sight that left him speechless. The figure was a very large man with an equally muscular and well-defined physique, he has chiseled features on his face with a strong jawline and pronounced cheekbones, and busy eyebrows. He has short blond hair, swept backwards, with two distinct tufts that stick up above his head, leaning slightly to each side and bright blue eyes that seemed to shine with power.

"A-All Might!" exclaimed Izuku in shock

"Energy manipulation is quite the quirk." Said the man.

"Oh, no sir. I'm quirkless. What I did was based on Spirit Energy which everyone has it just takes a lot of hard work to use it." Said Izuku

"Quirkless eh, but with an ability like that I take it you want to be a hero one day." Said All Might.

"It's all I ever wanted to be a hero like you and save people with a smile." Said Izuku almost shyly causing the man to smile briefly.

'This kid is different. Most people just want to beat up villains, but he wants to save people.' thought All Might with fondly.

"Well then with an attitude like that I think you can go far young…" started the man only to pause.

"Ah Midoriya sir, Izuku Midoriya." Said the boy getting a smile from the hero.

"Well then young Midoriya I need to be getting this one into custody, but I'd like to speak with you more about this Spirit Energy. Take this and ask to speak with Toshinori Yagi, if he's not available then you can leave a message. That way we can arrange a time to speak more." Said All Might handing him a card much to the boys shock.

Picking up a pair of discarded glass bottles All Might proceeded to grab the much smaller slime man and stuff him into the bottles. Giving the young man a two fingered salute he blasted off with the bottles. Watching him go Izuku was only broken out of his shock when his phone began ringing. Pulling it from his pocket he smiled seeing who it was before he answered.

"Hi dad."

Nearly an hour later Izuku could be seen again walking the street a large smile on his face at the fact that he'd not only impressed his favorite hero but gotten to talk to him and he even wanted to speak with him again. His talk with his dad had only improved his mood as while not an overly social person the demon had been a steady fixture in his life since he returned all those years ago. He'd even turned down other bodyguard offers and even the opportunity to enter the ruler's tournament himself simply because he felt training him was more important. His father was pleased with how he handled the sludge creature and stated he would see him again over the weekend at the temple.

His thoughts on that were cut off as he heard a series of explosions. With curiosity urging him he followed it to the source, mostly hoping to see more heroes in action today. Upon his arrival he froze in shock as he found the sludge villain in the center of the controversy and the source of the explosions was soon revealed to be Katsuki who was now in the villains grasp and trying to free himself. Three heroes were already on the scene those being Backdraft, Kamui Woods and Mt. Lady and of the three none were helping Katsuki. Backdraft was busy putting out the fires caused by Katsuki's explosions, Kamui Woods was trying to hold back the onlookers as apparently his quirk was useless in this instance and Mt. Lady was apparently useless as the road was too small for her, which meant she couldn't control the size she was in, just normal and huge but no in between.

Before he even realized what he was doing Izuku darted forward leaving the crowd and heroes behind him. Rushing forward he saw the sludge villain recognized him and went to attack only for him to dodge around the attack and in a fluid motion remove his backpack and launch it hitting the villain in the eye. Snapping his right hand out bright green energy flared from his hand before solidifying into a solid green katana. Blade in hand Izuku suddenly vanished only to appear in front of the sludge villain in mid swing which was quickly followed by four more swings that could only be seen as flashes of light. Dismissing the blade his left hand surged forward grasping hold of the stunned Katsuki before he leapt back dragging Katsuki out of the slime villains grasp and clearing the distance easily to land by the heroes.

"The hell was that!" demanded Katsuki in shock.

"I don't know. My body moved on its own." Said Izuku not taking his eyes off the sludge villain

"You've been holding back on me." Said Katsuki eyes narrowed.

"Now's not the time." Said Izuku.

"Young Midoriya it seems we meet again." Came a voice that stunned everyone as All Might appeared before them.

"This time I'll handle this villain." Said All Might before he dashed forward clearing the distance between himself and the villain in an instant

"DETROIT SMASH!'

Izuku like everyone else could only look on in awe as All Might delivered a punch so powerful that it literally changed the weather as it began to rain. The next bit happened as a blur to Izuku as the heroes scolded him for risking himself recklessly but also praised him for his actions and the fact that he only did enough to retrieve Katsuki before bailing. Katsuki while being praised for the power of his quirk was in turn scolded as his actions only made the situation more dangerous as none of the pros could rescue him while he was throwing around explosions so recklessly.

The reporters on the scene were ordered by the heroes to leave them be as not only were they civilians but they were also minors. Almost as soon as they escaped the circus Bakugo went full tsundere ranting about how he didn't need to be saved and it doesn't mean he was on his level. Izuku simply ignored it all well used to the other boy by this point. Shaking his head he turned to leave only for All Might to appear in front of him.

"Young Midoriya your actions today were inspiring; I think you and I should talk but first a proper introduction is in order." Before Izuku could blink All Might disappeared within a plume of smoke.

When the smoke cleared the figure that greeted him was a very skinny man with sharp, angular features and long limbs, with a long neck and no eyebrows. The appearance caused him to yelp in shock though nothing more as he'd seen more startling transformations before and this time the person was still human.

"My name is Toshinori Yagi." Said the man causing Izuku's eyes to widen.

"I told you earlier that I believed you could go far. However I now believe you can become one of the greats. Most of the top heroes show greatness even as children, many of them claim that their bodies had simply moved before they could think. I heard you tell the young man earlier that is what happened to you. Your actions inspired me to act and push past my bodies limits. With that and the knowledge that you are quirkless and worked hard for the power you do have I believe that not only can you become a hero, but I'd like to make you my successor." Said All Might.

These two figures and these words neither of them had any idea of what they would bring forward, of the legend that would one day be born. This is how Izuku Midoriya would become the greatest hero.

AN: That's it the first ones done. The next chapter would be Izuku inheriting One for All the power of which would cause the Jagan Eye to form. Izuku would still do the ten months of training and he'd also meet Grand Torino during this time. I just made him strong enough to inherit One for All earlier. Once again feel free to pick up this one or any other chapter to follow. Just let me know so I can read the stories. Till next time, LATER.
