Zoro woke up from the smell of food. His eye widens and he covers his mouth. He rushes towards the bathroom to empty his stomach. Once done he puts on pants and a t-shirt. He heads towards the kitchen to see Mihawk all dressed for work. "Morning." Zoro greets as he makes himself a cup of water."Morning. How are you feeling?" Mihawk replies. "Fine," Zoro says as he sits down at the table. Mihawk hands him a plate with toast and crackers."Thanks." Zoro mutters as he takes a bite of toast.
Mihawk sits down and eats his breakfast. He checks the time on his phone and once he's done eating he puts the plate in the sink and ruffles Zoro's hair and kisses him on the cheek. "I got to go now." He says."Alright bye." Zoro says and hears the keys jiggling and the door opening and closing. He finishes eating and puts the plate in the sink. He heads to the bedroom and grabs his phone. He walks into the living room and sits down.
He turns the TV on to fill the silence as he goes into his contacts and finds a name he was searching for and sends her a text. He smiles as she texts back. Perona may be annoying but she's a good friend. He met her at the dojo and somehow became friends with her. Seeing her reply he set the phone down and waits for her to visit.
An hour later he hears a knock at the door. He stands up and heads to the front door and opens it. Perona glances around."Mihawk isn't here?" She asks. "No, he's at work. Hopefully, Shanks hasn't damaged the dojo." Zoro replies as he steps to the side."He only took over for two days but yeah I agree." Perona says and frowns as she notices Zoro looking green and watched as he rushes to the kitchen. She winces as she hears him vomit.
She heads towards the kitchen and gives him a worried look."Are you okay?"She asks. Zoro gives her a thumbs-up as he washes his mouth and wipes it with a paper napkin."You're not sick are you?" She asks and Zoro shakes his head. "No, I'm not sick." He says. Her face completely scrunches up in confusion. Zoro rests a hand on his stomach and Perona's eyes widen.
"Holy crap!" She shouts. Zoro blushes as she squeals. "You're pregnant!" She hugs him and Zoro laughs."How far along are you?" She asks. "Um, I think 4 weeks? Mihawk set up an appointment this Saturday. So we'll see how far along I am." He answers and she smiles. She grabs his wrist and pulls him to the living room.
"We should buy some baby stuff! Like toys!Cute adorable toys!" She says. Zoro rolls his eyes fondly and sits down on the couch. "Don't you think that's too early to buy toys?" He asks. She shrugs. "How about clothes?" She suggests."Clothes? For who?" He asks. "For you! Eventually, your clothes won't fit you." She says and covers her mouth as Zoro's face flushes red.
Zoro sighs as he couldn't believe he allowed Perona to take him to a baby store. They enter inside and Perona takes his hand. "Come on let's check out the toys."She says and Zoro rolls his eyes. They enter a section where toys were placed. He looks around and picks up some stuffed animals but none caught his eye. He felt Perona poke him and he glares at her. His glare softens as he sees what she is holding. A green tiger with a missing eye.
"Isn't cute!?" She asks."It looks like me." Zoro says and Perona giggles."That's why I picked it up."She says and allows Zoro to take the tiger. Cute. He thought as he holds the tiger."Let's look for more." Perona says and they went back to looking at the toys.
A few minutes went by and they found two other toys. A hawk and a fox."These three are adorable." Perona says as she holds the hawk and pink bear in her hands. Zoro smiles."Yeah, they are." They walk to another aisle and see books about parenting and getting ready for a baby. Zoro pauses and grabs three books. He looks at Perona who is smiling."What?" He asks. "Nothing." She says though her voice betrays it.
Zoro ignores it and they walk to the checkout. The lady smiles at the two and rings the stuffed animals and books up. She tears off a piece of paper and scribbles down some words and places it into the bag."That'll be $10.25." She says. Once they paid they head out of the building and enter Perona's car.
Zoro glances through the bag and reaches for the note. He reads the message out loud."Thank you for shopping and congrats."He says and saw the smiley face with one eye as the other eye was closed with a vertical line. Perona saw it and giggles."She's a smart lady." She says and Zoro blushes.
"So where to next?" Perona asks she put the key into the ignition."Um, let's get something to eat." He says and Perona nods as she pulls out of the parking lot and onto the road. "Where?" Perona asks as they stop at a red light."Well, I'm pretty sure if I eat I'll just throw up." Zoro says. Perona hums and taps her finger against the steering wheel.
"We can try that new place that's open. It's called The Vineyard."Perona suggests. "The Vineyard?" Zoro questions. Perona smiles."Yep." She says as she turns right."Sounds interesting." Zoro replies. 'The food is good. I've been there twice." She says. "We are almost there."
They decided to go through the drive-thru and order their food. Once done and they paid they went to park the car and eat their food."How's your sandwich?" Perona asks as she takes a bite out of hers."It's good." Zoro mumbles with food in his mouth. Perona grimaces and gives him a disguised look. "Ew! Please don't talk with food in your mouth." She scolds. Zoro grins at her.
"Not cute!" She shouts and glares at Zoro. Zoro rolls his eyes and continues eating his sandwich. When they are done they decided to hang out at the mansion. She parks the car and they head out and enter the house. Zoro puts the bag in the bedroom and the two sit down in the living room to watch TV. They ended up watching a document about animals when they couldn't find anything to watch.
Mihawk sighs as heads to his car. Today was good and Shanks did a good job at teaching the students. Maybe he should let Shanks join? Mihawk enters the car puts the key into the ignition and pulls out of the parking lot and heads home. He parks the car and turns the car off. He steps out and walks towards the front door and opens it. He smiles as he enters the living room to see Perona and Zoro fast sleep with the TV on. He grabs the blanket and drapes it over them.
He leaves the living room and walks towards the bedroom. He notices a bag as he takes off his coat and hat."What's this?" He mutters as he grabs the bag and examines what is inside. He blinks in surprise as he sees books and three stuff animals. He picks up the tiger and lets out a chuckle. He grabs the hawk and the pink bear. The three animals reminded him of them.
He sets them to the side and grabs the three books. One was about baby names the second one was to prepare for labor and the other was a little child's book. He opens the child's book and looks at the page with amusement. The little drawings were cute. He grabs the animals and puts them in the bag along with the child's book. He places the other two on the dresser.
He stands up and exits the room and towards the living room to see Perona awake and on her phone".I assume you know?" He asks as he leans against the doorway."Yep." She replies and sets her phone down. "It was my idea to get some stuffed animals for the baby. Zoro was the one to find the tiger." Mihawk glances at his sleeping boyfriend."Of course." Mihawk replies and heads towards the kitchen."Have you eaten yet?" He asks.
"Yeah, we got food at The Vineyard. They have good sandwiches." Perona says as she stands up from the couch. "Red hair had informed me about the new restaurant," Mihawk replies as he grabs a bottle of red wine and a glass. "Did he do anything to the dojo?" She asks. "He did quite well for two days. Though I do believe Benn had helped him." He says as he pours the red wine into the glass. Perona smiles and heads back to the living room where Zoro was waking up.
She grabs her phone off the table and helps Zoro off the couch. "Mihawk's home and I need to get to work." She says and brings Zoro a quick hug."Alright, see ya." Zoro replies and Perona heads out of the door."Bye!" She shouts and leaves. Zoro heads towards the kitchen and sees Mihawk by the sink. He wraps his arms around him and presses his head against his back."How was work?" Zoro asks.
"It was good," Mihawk replies and turns around. Zoro hums and leans on Mihawk."I saw what you had bought. The stuffed animals and child book were cute." Mihawk says and Zoro blushes. Mihawk chuckles and runs his fingers through green hair. After a moment Zoro moves and pulls Mihawk towards the bedroom."I want to cuddle."Zoro says as they land on the bed and Zoro wraps his arms around Mihawk and rests his head on his chest.
"What gender do you want?" Zoro asks."I don't care as long they are healthy."Mihawk replies. "I wouldn't mind having a daughter," Zoro says as he lays a hand on his stomach. Mihawk smiles. "A daughter would be nice. Perona would spoil her." He says and Zoro laughs."Yeah, she would."He says and glances at the books. He climbs out of bed and grabs the book called Babies Names.
He lays back down and opens the first page. Mihawk sits up and Zoro moves so he's agents Mihawk's chest. Mihawk rests his chin on top of Zoro's head and puts his arms around him."Mmm, let's see..." Zoro says and they look at the list of baby names."We should pick a girl and boy's name." Mihawk says and Zoro hums in acknowledgment.
After a while of trying to find names they only found one."Akira." Zoro says as he points to a boy's name."Akira?" Mihawk inquiries. "Yeah, it means wisdom."Zoro replies."Akira." Mihawk says and likes how the name rolls off his tongue. "I like the name." Zoro smiles and closes the book.
"Awesome now all we need is a girl's name." He says and yawns. Mihawk chuckles and they both climb out of bed. Zoro puts the book on the dresser and they got ready for bed. Once done they turn the light off and get under the covers."Night." Zoro says as he rests his head on the pillow."Goodnight." Mihawk replies and they both drift off to sleep.
Perona is such a good friend! I feel like she would drag you everywhere!
