Hi, I am not dead. I rewrote this chapter again since while I was reading it I realized it was a very messy introduction to my fic. For those who are curious, the next chapter should come out later this week. That said, To all the new readers and those who took the time to read this, enjoy the Chapter!

Disclaimer: I don't own Honkai Impact, its characters nor its story.

Narration: She woke up

Speech: "She woke up"

Thoughts: 'She woke up'

P.o.v. ?

An annoying buzz resounded throughout the room as the girl slept within the covers of her perfectly white bed.

She twisted this way and that at the sound and kicked away the sheets.

She raised her head from her cushion, revealing a pair of horns on her forehead, before silently slamming her head back against the bed.

Following that she raised her head again and gazed at the room with her silver eyes.

Panic temporarily filled her gaze at the sight before it was suppressed, finally recalling her situation.

The girl stood from her bed and leaned on the milky white surface of the wall which looked as blank as the rest of the room.

She, or rather, he used to be a normal, regular human who lived in a world called Earth, or as he now dubbed it, Regular Earth(R-Earth for short).

The change was attributed to his apparent discovery of parallel worlds, such as the one she currently found herself in.

You might be wondering just how could she have ended up here or where 'here' even was.

As far as the first question went, he didn't exactly know.

He was sleeping, much like he had been now, so he assumed he must have died while he slept and undergone reincarnation.

As for why she was in this world specifically, that was probably due to his desire, one she heavily regretted now that it was true. That desire was quite childish in nature and not one that most people would have ever suggested pursuing.

He wanted to help a fictional character, a certain foolish girl by the name of Kiana Kaslana, one of the most important characters of this world.

As for where 'here' was, she wasn't sure this world had a name but she knew it was known in hers as the Honkai-Verse.

In this world since the beginning of time, or as close to it as humanity could understand there existed beings known as the Honkai.

They were creatures that hated humans and constantly attempted to end all human life.

One of, if not the most dangerous of those beings were the Herrschers such as herself, god-like beings capable of bending laws of physics to their liking.

This world was primarily divided into two eras: the previous era and the current era.

In the first era humans had built an advanced society that relied on human advancement.

This highly advanced era was able to combat the Herrschers through their technology. However, even they could do nothing against the final Herrscher, known as 'The Herrscher of the end'.

After the destruction of the previous era, surviving humans began to rebuild civilization.

Despite their struggles the Honkai did not leave humanity alone and continued to pursue the end of all the humans.

While the earliest attack from the Honkai occurred in the year 2717 BC of the current era the first awakening of a Herrscher would not occur until 1952 CE. This awakening, called the "1st Honkai Impact '' would give birth to the 1st Herrscher known as "the Herrscher of Reason ''.

Schicksal, an organization that has existed for a long time by that point was able to capture the Herrscher for research.

Despite the wish of humanity to defeat the Honkai, Schicksal's leader, Otto Apocalypse, seemed hesitant to kill the 1st Herrsher.

This would cause a part of Schicksal to branch off and become "Anti-Entropy". Both organizations had different views as to how to combat the Honkai.

Schicksal used Valkyries, girls infused with Honkai energy, while Anti-Entropy used Honkai powered mechas.

Currently it is the year 2014, I am in Nagazora.

All of those people familiar with the game should know that this place is the beginning of our story, the city where the partial awakening of the third Herrscher, Raiden Mei, occurs.

At first people were put off by my physical appearance.

I mean, while I am fairly attractive it is not every day that you see a girl with horns, nor a tail and my white hair certainly didn't help, although I might have been confused for a Kaslana by those who knew of this world's secrets.

I will admit I am still unsure how to feel about that last one.

So thinking I continued to wear my clothes, one of my casual outfits to be precise.

The outfit was composed of a purple sweater with the necessary hole for my tail and a rather short yellow skirt.

I will admit that I always wondered how wearing one might feel and, although it is uncomfortable, I am willing to give it a chance.

After ensuring that my tail was comfortably fitted I picked up the keys and left the building.

Kid: "Hello, kind demon lady!"

As soon as I left the building some of the more energetic kids that were running around the street saluted me.

I did the same and waved back.

Alexander: "Hi, John"

After looking at his and his friends' departing figures I continued my morning walk towards one of the best cafes in the area.

While I did, a nearby shopkeeper turned towards me after putting down some boxes.

shopkeeper: "Good morning, Alexander"

Yeah, you heard it right. I know it kinda sounds like a man's name but in this new life I called myself Alexander.

For one thing, since I used to be male I don't mind the probably asexual name, rather, it is a comfort.

Alexander: "Good morning Carry, hard at work?"

I asked her, still sleepy.

I had slept very late yesterday in preparation for today. I tried to keep down my panic as I went through the motions of my usual morning.

Today was the day where I estimated the Honkai outbreak would happen. While I was lost in thought she flashed me a grin.

Carry: "You know it"

She exclaimed, looking pumped up. I wished I could share her enthusiasm, I really did but I couldn't look her in the eye knowing that today she would likely die and that I couldn't help her.

The reason was quite simple, I was a Herrsher. If anything, if I did try to help I would only speed up the process.

'That said, it was pretty close to morning when it happened and yet nothing has happened yet. Could my presence have made a difference? Or is it happening elsewhere, where I can't yet notice it?'

As if in response to my question a pale skinned woman walked out of a back alley.

I was unfortunately familiar with that figure.

Thanks for reading! Keep in mind that this is my first fic in a long while so please don't bash it too hard. Aside from that constructive criticism is appreciated so if you have something to say just write it. That said, see you in the next chapter.
