Ace groaned and let his head slam down, planting himself face first against the still empty sheet of paper. He hated math. He hated it so much. It made absolutely no sense. Everyone constantly told him it would be logical and that he could do it, if he would actually pay attention at the lessons and would study more, do his homework and stuff. Ace did all of it. He could write all those stupid ways of solving the problem while he would have another sleep attack. But his were always wrong.
He opened his eyes and stared down at the numbers which seemed to laugh at him. He hissed back. But doing so, he scared Kotatsu, who buried his claws deep in Ace's thig bevore jumping off his lap and running towards the kitchen. Ace probably had said something very insulting to him.
"Ace? What's wrong-yoi?" Marco walked up to him, Kotatsu on his arm, lovingly scratching his neck. "I hate math. It just doesn't make sense!" Ace whined and stabbed his eraser with his pencil, again and again, until it got stuck on it. "I don't get it!" "you're not good at math? Let me see. Maybe I can help you , why didn't you tell me?" and with that, Marco placed the cat back in Ace's lap and sat himself next to him, smiling at his younger lover. "I'm a good teacher. I can show it to you-yoi." Oh, Marco loves it when Ace blushed like he did now. His beautiful freckles were even more outstanding than usual and his ears got red too. It was so cute! He leaned towards him and gave Ace a soft kiss. "You'll see." Marco then grabbed the book and Aces tasks and took a look at them. After some minutes he hummed, snatched the pencil as well and started scribbling something down.
Ace was still a bit dumbfounded and only watched him doing all the work. "I, uhm.. You don't have to... I can-" "Yoi!" he got sushed by Marco and decided he would just let him do whatever he wanted to do. It was Marco after all. Ace wouldn't get that much of a say what Marco should do and don't. If Marco wanted to help him, he would do it. With Ace and without. Even it that would be some sort of a challenge. Ace was sure Marco would even manage to teach him math without him being here. He pressed a kiss on Marco's shoulder and pulled his own chair more towards Marco to be near him. Kotatsu liked the idea too and laid himself across both laps that were now offered to him. He instantly got petted by both men and started to purr happily.
After about 10 minutes of Marco humming, mumbling and scribbling and Ace watching him do it without understanding a single thing, Marco finally looked at him. "So. What's the problem. What of this is challenging you-yoi? I thought you're good at logical stuff? You're bad with emotional things, I know. You're after all my little hothead." he said and caressed Ace's cheek lovingly. The later one blushed again and grabbed his book, to show Marco that nothing of that was logical. He explained how he solved them and how it would be wrong everytime.
Suddenly, Marco broke down laughing, scaring the poor Kotatsu again. But he really couldn't care less, he was even crying, so hard was he laughing. Ace just stared at him, slowly getting red again, this time not being embarrassed but angry. "What's so funny?!" he snapped, flicking Marco against his forehead and bringing some distance between them, not liking to be laughed at.
Marco grabbed his arm, holding him back. "No. Thihihi. No, no. Everythings fine- yoi. You're right." he giggled again. "You did everything right. But you're doing it at a higher level that the book wants you to. You're even better than me, I struggled myself with that way of calculating. You should learn it next year, when you're in my class. That's interesting-yoi. You're very talented, baby." And with that, Ace blushed for the who knows what time again and stared at Marco. "I'm right?" Marco gave another laugh. "Yes. Yes you're right. The problems are too easy for my smart boyfriend." Marco planned to pull Ace on his lap, so they could kiss again and he could have some fun with him, pampering him a bit, so he would hopefully understand how smart he is.
But Ace had other things in his mind. He jumped up, snatched his book and pulled out a lighter, letting it klick and creating a flame, hovering it under the book, trying to light it on fire, while chanting how he was right and the Book was wrong.
"ACE! NOT AGAIN! NO! STOP IT!" Marco jumped up too, trying to stop him, chasing after him. The only response was evil laughter and a worrying glint inside Ace's eyes, telling Marco how much Ace wanted to see the book burning to ash.
His little pyromaniac.
"Yoi."
