There was no real time to lament about Mii's noble passing. There was still one more threat they had to deal with if they ever wanted to see peace again: Prometheus. The plan was for Pandora to do her thing immediately after Yggdrasil was defeated, and she tried, but apparently Prometheus had other plans. He broke free of his time prison, reaching out to grab Pandora. "Ah ha!"

"What!?" Pandora's eyes widened in shock. She thought she had at least a few more seconds.

"Get down!" Wendy's speed saved the day, as she tackled Pandora down to the ground.

"T-Thank you…" Pandora said, staring at Prometheus. "But that shouldn't have happened, I thought I had more time…!"

"Kyahahaha!" Prometheus' heinous laughed return. "Things worked out way better than I expected! I knew Yggdrasil would fall, but I didn't think Mii would too!" Prometheus' hand lit up in a bright purple aura and he pointed it at the location Yggdrasil last was. "This was an even better harvest than I expected!"

"What the hell's going on!?" Gray wiped the tears from his eyes, glaring at Prometheus.

Prometheus had a purple wisp form within his hand. It was Yggdrasil's soul. "I knew this would happen from the very beginning…well, not these exact chain of events, but I figured things would turn out this way."

"What are you talking about!?" Lucy asked.

"As Pandora has no doubt told you, the magic and souls within my body are too powerful at present for me to contain them. In order to achieve stability, I needed Pandora's soul. Unfortunately for me, she escaped because of Yggdrasil…and as powerful as I am, I couldn't afford to expend my energy fighting him." Prometheus explained. "He had the same train of thought, and as I hoped for, he rendered me unable to fight by trapping me within a time sphere. I was suspended in time…which in turn, delayed the decay of my current body. So all I needed to do at that point was wait for things to play out, and here we are now. Yggdrasil is dead, but his soul still lingers. Even if I can't grab Pandora's soul at the moment, this will be a fine supplement!"

"You're insane!" Carla yelled.

"YES I AM!" Prometheus held Yggdrasil's soul to his chest. "I'll use Yggdrasil's soul, the Michael's, then Mii's…!"

"We can't let him use that!" Cynthia yelled.

Natsu was already in front of Prometheus, his fist blazing at the mention of Mii. He wouldn't allow anyone to use or talk about her like that. Natsu swung right for Prometheus' face, but he was repelled by a barrier. "What?!"

"Did you forget? I also still have possession over Fairy Heart." Prometheus grinned. "You have no choice but to watch as I ascend to a higher plane of power!" He then inserted Yggdrasil's soul into his body, where a powerful shockwave nearly knocked everyone off their feet. "KYAHAHAHA! Oh, this is a wonderful surge of power! I knew waiting would be worth it!" A purple light swirled around Prometheus, changing and morphing around him.

"Shit…!" Gray cursed.

"Everyone watch out!" Erza said, standing in front of everyone in case something happened.

"Oh no…" Pandora stared up at the growing Prometheus with widened eyes. "He was one step ahead of us this whole time…?"

Prometheus' entire form changed. His entire body increased in size, his arms growing and appearing more skeletal, his face turned into a skeleton with blazing red eyes and purple spikes. This was as far as the transformation went; he turned into a gigantic upper body while the rest of his body remained rooted into the ground, connected to Purgatory and the endless sea of souls he had prepared. "Oh yeah! Now this is a perfect surge of power for the Grim Reaper! I've never felt better!" Prometheus regular body appeared at the crown of the one he created, allowing him to look down on everyone.

"He's huge…" Lucy said while looking up at Prometheus. He was towering over the Reaper's Castle.

"But he's nothing we haven't taken out before." Natsu said while clenching his hands into fists. He still couldn't get his mind off Mii…

That's when Carla stepped in, grabbing Mii's hat and the broken Eternal Sword. Since it was busted, there was no need to worry about it hurting anyone. "I'll get these out of the way. You guys have a fight to finish. Beat, we're going."

"Huh?" Beat stared at Carla. "But…!"

"Getting out of their way is the best thing we can do." Carla wasn't taking no for an answer. "Don't make me repeat myself."

Eesh. That cat-girl was pretty scary. Beat swallowed the nervous lump in his throat and nodded. "O-Okay…" Happy was the only one who got to stay, but Beat wasn't going to question why."

"That's probably for the best. I don't know if I'll be too much help here, but…" Zelos snapped his fingers, a green magic circle appearing underneath Team Natsu. He was devoting the rest of his magic to patching up their wounds as best as he could. "Healing Wind!"

"Thanks, Zelos…" Lucy gave Zelos a smile. It didn't quite push her up to 100%, but it was enough to get her through this.

"Anytime, Lucy-chan!" Zelos winked, the helped Carla and Beat escape.

"Pandora-san, can you still stop him!?" Wendy asked.

"Yes." Pandora nodded, narrowing her eyes. "Prometheus' regular body is still there. If you can separate him…I should be able to put an end to this once and for all."

"So all we gotta do is pull him out of that fake body he made?" Gray reiterated. "Sounds like an easy job."

"This will likely be our last job for a long time." Erza said while looking up at Prometheus. "We will not fail. Is everyone ready?!"

"YEAH!"

"Yeah, that's it!" Prometheus beckoned Team Natsu to come at him, his true body sinking into larger body. "I bet your souls will taste delicious when I get my hands on them! This is for the world, SO GIVE ME EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT!"

"What the hell happened over there!?" Luke said while pointing at the giant Prometheus.

"I have no idea, but it looks like things are coming to an end soon…" Cygnus said.

"I wish we were there instead…" Micaiah frowned.

"Don't worry!" Blues said while puffing his chest out. "We've always made it out of stuff like this, right? This can't be any different!"

"The magic power coming from Prometheus is so intense, I can feel it here…" Vanya spoke with a frown.

"COME ON!" Prometheus screamed while raising one hand up, gathering a large amount of magic power within it.

"All ability raise: Deus Eques!" Wendy spread her arms apart, casting an enchantment that boosted all attributes of Team Natsu. On top of this, she entered her Dragon Frenzy state, a wing of flame appearing along her left side, while Cynthia did the same, creating a wind of wind on the other.

"Thanks, Wendy!" Natsu turned his sorrow over Mii into determination, red scales appearing along his arms and forehead. This way he entered Dragon Force. He was the first one to launch into the sky as Prometheus brought his fist down, planning to meet him headway. "Flame Dragon's Firing Hammer!" He clashed with Prometheus' fist in midair, a powerful shockwave exploding outward from the two forces colliding. There was an explosion and Natsu's lack of footing meant he was thrown back, while Prometheus merely had to release his fist. "Gah!"

"I got you, Natsu!" Happy flew in, grabbing Natsu before he could fall too far.

"Thanks, Happy!" Natsu nodded.

Lucy was putting it all on the line. She put the power of Lambda to rest for now, instead using Taurus' key to initiate her Celestial Spirit King Star Dress. "Now isn't the time to hold back! Thank you for the help Lambda!" Once in the Star Dress, Lucy gripped the longsword tightly. She only had a few minutes to make this work and she flew into the sky, thrusting her sword outward. "Starlight Cataclysm!"

"Gyahaha!" Prometheus was going to block this hit by extending an open hand and crush Lucy within it. But as his hand neared Lucy, Erza leapt forward with her Holy Hammer, slamming his open palm. The effects of this hammer did cause Prometheus to recoil slightly. "Huh!? What was that!"

"A weapon perfectly crafted to deal with pure evil!" Erza exclaimed. This gave Lucy the opening she needed, slashing at Prometheus while flying past him. The moment she did, sword magic exploded from Prometheus' neck all the way to his head. "Nice hit, Lucy!"

"Thanks for the help, Erza!" Lucy replied. The smoke from the explosion cleared, and it appeared that Prometheus was ultimately barely fazed by Lucy's attack. "What!?"

"No damage!?" Erza gasped.

"Soul barrier." Prometheus said while sneering at Lucy. "I sacrificed one of the many souls in Purgatory to take that attack for me. I've got so many to work with, you won't be able to harm me in a way that matters!"

"You're a coward!" Erza gave Prometheus a death glare. Using the souls of the departed to shield himself from attacks!?

"Let's see you deal with this, jackass!" Gray used this time to craft several ballistae, all of them loaded with Devil Slaying Arrows. "Ice Devil Zeroth's Bombardment!" Since Prometheus was a demon, Gray was certain his magic would have some effect on him. Gray let loose, dozens upon dozens of arrows flying towards Prometheus to stab into him. Prometheus crossed his gigantic arms, allowing the arrows to pierce into the limbs from top to bottom.

"KYAHAHA! THAT TICKLES!" Prometheus laughed.

"Are you serious!?" Gray was sweating. If even his magic wasn't working that well, they were really up the creek for this one.

Wendy and Cynthia took this chance to leap on the frozen arrows. Wendy came from the left while Cynthia came from the right. Once they reached the top, they sprang forward just as Prometheus uncrossed his arms. Wendy and Cynthia slammed their feet into Prometheus' large skull, using this momentum to spring up into the air, linking hands together as crimson flames and cyan wind merged together, taking the shape of a dragon. "Omega Flame Sky Dragon's Roaring Impact!" The two then dove down at full power, slamming into Prometheus' body with a massive explosion. Prometheus recoiled, his body leaning backwards against his will, but he soon recovered.

"Did it do nothing…!?" Cynthia narrowed her eyes.

Prometheus' red eyes gleamed as the smoke cleared. "It was a cute attempt, I'll say that!"

"Have we done no damage to him at all!?" Gray grunted.

"No, damage has been dealt, but it's nowhere near enough." Pandora's eyes were quickly scanning Prometheus for any openings.

"Is he just invincible?" Happy asked.

"No, he has a weakness somewhere." Pandora reported. "Remember, he doesn't have my soul…he's merely using Yggdrasil's as a supplement for the power. This means that he is vulnerable somewhere, but I…I don't know where yet…"

"Then we'll just have to keep kicking his ass until one shows up!" Natsu said.

"Kick my ass? That's a good one!" Prometheus said while rearing a fist back, this one surging with far more magic power than before. As his larger body did this, his true body appeared from the crown once again, mirror its actions. "Now it's my turn to blow you all away! TAKE THIS! SKULL FLARE!" Prometheus slammed his fist down atop the Reaper's Castle, the sheer might of his fist creating a gigantic shockwave that nearly toppled the entire structure at first. This caught Team Natsu in its wake and they were all scattered about violently within the confines of the top floor. After this attack was done, Prometheus sank down into his larger body again.

"Ngh…" Pandora caught that at the last second, but she wasn't sure.

"Holy shit…" Gray winced. "Wendy's spell really saved us there, but I don't know if we'll be able to take too many more of those…is everyone okay?"

"Barely…" Cynthia admitted, hopping right up. "But I can deal with these injuries later! I won't bend or break until we're done with this for good!"

"I think I saw something atop his head…" Pandora said. "That must be where his weakness is…"

"Got it!" Lucy nodded, tightening the grip on her sword. "Leave it to me!"

"We'll cover you!" Wendy said, looking towards Natsu and Cynthia. The two of them nodded and all three of them began to inhale, their cheeks inflating as they gathered as much magical power within their mouths as they threw their heads forward. They all released their respective roars, a gigantic torrent of fire and wind merging together to strike Prometheus in the chest. This was going on for as long as they could manage and the intense force pushed against Prometheus, keeping his body in place.

"Thanks guys!" Lucy flew into the air, raising her longsword over her head. With the power of the stars surrounding her sword, she mumbled the chant to Urano Metria under her breath, empowering the blade even more. She was high in the sky, well above Prometheus at this moment. "Urano Metria Blade!" Lucy dove down, swinging her sword vertically atop Prometheus' skull where a golden explosion boomed outwards. She flew back after the hit, only to see that she only managed to barely crack that skull. "No way!"

"Kyahahaha!" A white magic circle appeared in front of Lucy. Prometheus laughed as numerous rays of light shot towards the celestial wizard. She was able to deflect a few of them, but the sheer number of them was too powerful and she was shot down to the ground, onto the tree dragon slayers. The beams of light continued to pelt that small group, knocking them all away in the process. "Don't tell me that's all you can muster!?"

Gray and Erza then jumped forward. Erza was in her Clear Heart Armor, putting every ounce of magic she had left on offense. She had two swords, both of them enchanted by fire and devil slaying ice from Natsu and Gray respectively. "We're only just getting started!"

Gray had a gigantic sword of ice in both hands. "We're not going down until you are!" Gray yelled. He and Erza swung at the same time, landing three hits together across Prometheus' face. The power of their attacks did make Prometheus' body recoil noticeably, and as they fell…he quickly recovered and opened his mouth. "No way…!"

"AHAHAHA!" Prometheus fired a blast of raw magic from his mouth, catching Gray and Erza and blowing them into the already faltering Reaper's Castle. After that, the real Prometheus emerged from the skull of his larger body, rearing his fist back again. "Give it up! You have no way of actually harming me! This battle is all mine! SKULL FLARE!" He powered up that same attack, swinging it down with all his might to crush Team Natsu right then and there.

Erza jumped ahead, switching to her Adamantine Armor. She took the full force of Prometheus' attack to shield everyone from it. "We won't…fall to the likes of you!" Erza grit her teeth, remaining steadfast in her defensive position. Ultimately Erza was defeated in this battle of power vs defense, her Adamantine Armor shattering as she hit the ground harshly. "Ugh!"

"Erza!" Cynthia and Lucy rushed over to Erza. "Are you okay…!?"

"Yes…" Erza slowly stood up. "It's as you said, Cynthia. I can worry about those injuries later…"

Prometheus reared his fist back again, preparing to do the same attack once more. He was charging it this time, putting everything he had on this. "Now then, it's time to wrap this up!"

"Again!?" Happy gulped.

"I don't know if we can survive another one…" Gray was being brutally honest. He had doubts. "How are we going to hurt him…!?"

Pandora finally realized it. "Ah…! His body is invulnerable to most damage, but I've noticed his weak spot! It wasn't just on his head, it was Prometheus himself!"

"What do you mean!?" Natsu asked, needing an answer ASAP.

"Prometheus' body emerges whenever he does this specific attack! He's using all of the energy at his disposal, which forces his true body to emerge. He's vulnerable in the midst of attacking." Pandora quickly explained.

"So we have to attack him while he's attacking us!?" Lucy didn't know how that would work.

"That's right, Pandora! But you found out too little, too late!" Prometheus was finished charging his attack, and now his fist was rocketing towards Team Natsu once last time. "This is the end for you, humans! I WIN!" Team Natsu was ready to brace for impact, having no means of defending themselves at the last second. Prometheus' fist did slam down, but it wasn't on them. Something blocked his attack from even reaching them. It was a sphere with the Fairy Tail symbol on it. "Huh?!"

"What…?" Even Team Natsu was confused for a moment. When they turned, they saw a noticeable amount of Fairy Tail members behind them!

"Did you really think we'd let you get the last word in this fight!?" Gajeel said while holding his hands up, grinning wildly.

"We wouldn't dream of that." Pantherlily said.

"We're all in this together, aren't we?" Mira said with a soft smile.

"We're not letting you face this alone!" Lisanna added.

"We're going to make sure we see this through, like MEN!" Elfman exclaimed.

"You guys!" Lucy's eyes lit up.

"You kids have been fighting really hard, but don't forget you have a whole guild ready to back you up!" Gildarts said with a cocky grin.

"Yeah, we're a family after all, ain't that right?" Laxus said while staring at Prometheus. "And I'm sure as hell not letting this guy take you out without any say so."

"We've got your back!" Levy nodded.

"We had Minerva teleport us here as soon as we could find each other." Freed explained.

"I can't believe how fast I had to turn around!" Zelos laughed.

"Give 'em hell!" Cana said.

"And we've got a nasty surprise waiting for this soul stealing shitstain!" Bickslow cackled.

"So we're giving you the cover you need, but give us a hand, will you!?" Evergreen asked.

"Right!" Gray nodded and Juvia quickly latched onto his hand.

"Juvia is ready to give it her all with Gray-sama!" Juvia said, squeezing Gray's hand tightly.

"Of course." Gray said while glaring up at Prometheus, grinning as they could feel Prometheus' offensive might coming down on them. But Fairy Sphere was the ultimate defensive magic, so they weren't going to yield that easily. "IS THAT THE BEST YOU CAN DO!?"

"I told you, didn't I…!?" Erza was smiling towards Prometheus. "Not to underestimate the might of humanity! Especially Fairy Tail!"

"We're not going to give up!" Wendy exclaimed.

"And we're not going to run away! We never have, and we never will!" Cynthia declared.

"You're just another obstacle!" Lucy said. "There's nothing we can't overcome together, and you're no exception!"

"Pandora, how does it look!?" Carla asked.

Pandora's eyes quickly glanced up at Prometheus, and it was just as she surmised. "He's still exposed! He's vulnerable!"

"Then there's only one person who has the destructive power to bring this one to an end." Erza turned to Natsu. "Go."

"Give 'em hell, Natsu!" Lucy said.

Natsu nodded and glanced at Happy. "Happy, let's go!"

On that cue, Happy flew behind Natsu to pick him up, flying from the Fairy Sphere and directly towards Prometheus. "AYE SIR! MAX SPEED!" Happy put forth all the magic at his disposal, flying at full throttle.

"Don't you dare think that this is enough to stop me!" Prometheus created numerous magic seals in the air above him, releasing a bombardment of elemental magic upon Natsu and Happy. This did cause Happy to fly in all sorts of angles to avoid being hit, and Prometheus raised his other gigantic hand, preparing to guide Happy right into a trap. "YOU'RE MINE!" Prometheus was about to slam his hand down, but an emerald sword pierced into his hand from above, forcing it down into the ground with the sword on top of it. "WHAT!?" And as he tried to move, large chains appeared to keep his hand held down.

Lucy looked over to the side, spotting Emeraude using her magic to keep Prometheus held down. "Emeraude?!"

"I know you can't help but gawk right now, but I'm a little preoccupied! So hurry up and do your damn job already!" Emeraude shouted. It was clear she wasn't going to be able to hold him for very long.

With his hands bound, Prometheus didn't have much in the means of batting Happy and Natsu away from him. So the bombardment of magic increased tenfold, beams shooting wildly in an effort to knock Happy and Natsu out of the sky. One stray beam did manage to hit Happy, knocking him out of the sky, while Natsu entered a free fall. "Waaah!"

"Happy!" Natsu gasped. He turned his head, realizing that he was in front of Prometheus' face, that gigantic mouth widening and charging a beam of magic to the defenseless Natsu. Everything moved in slow motion as it looked like Prometheus managed to pull off a victory.

Prometheus was about to attack, but then, his lower body submerged in Purgatory started to rumble. "Huh…!?" And then, a sharp beam of magic pierced his mouth from blow, keeping his mouth stuck open and unable to move. "Hrk…!?"

"GOTCHA!" Bickslow laughed. Ilaria was still in Purgatory, using her Soul Binder magic to weaponized all of the souls within and use them against Prometheus. He was attacked by the very thing that gave him power, and now he was completely stuck with no means to defend himself.

With Prometheus finally stuck, Pandora used the last of her power to fly up and grab Natsu by the back. "This is it! Please, bring this to an end…!" With all of her might, she tossed Natsu very high into the air.

"Say no more!" The flames around Natsu's body grew more intense as he flipped in the sky. He landed on Prometheus' skull, right in front of his true body. One hand was pressed against the skill, while he reared the other one back, glaring into Prometheus' eyes. "PROMETHEUS! YOU LOSE! FLAME DRAGON KING'S CRUMBLING FIST!" Natsu slammed his fist into Prometheus' face with every ounce of magic power he could muster for a direct hit.

"GAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Prometheus screamed as his entire body was enveloped in flame. That gigantic form he used started to crack and break apart at the seams, eventually crumbling into nothing. Prometheus's real body fell to the ground as the numerous souls at his command began to disperse. That final attack managed to defeat the titan, and everything was enveloped in one final flash of light.

Prometheus' gaze was weak. He knew he was on the ground. When he looked up, he saw a teary eyed Pandora standing in front of him. "Ah…Pandora…hyahaha…fancy seeing you here."

"It's over, Prometheus." Pandora said with a sad tone. "You have lost."

Prometheus stared at his hand. "I sure did, huh…you hate to see it. I was having so much fun! I really wish you would've stuck with me the whole time…!"

Those words made Pandora increase the grip on her staff. She was trembling from both sadness and anger. "Was it all some chaotic lie you weaved that my naïve heart fell for? Everything that we've done together…were you always planning on betraying me in the end, so you could bring ruin to the entire world?"

To that, Prometheus shook his head. "It wasn't all a lie, not at first. When Zeref offered us a place in his army, I thought it would be fun. You were naïve back then and didn't understand how the world worked! It was so funny. But I grew to enjoy our partnership over the centuries! But of course, the stronger I became, the more I wanted to see only the world burn. You should know how I felt, you wielded my power and you wanted my soul…those were my true intentions only recently."

"…I see…" Pandora was still trembling. "As a Goddess of Order, I have done my job rather terribly. I allowed you to get away with so much and did not intervene. Even worse, I aided your asinine plans because I loved you. I am a flawed creation from start to finish…but I intend to finally do my job and put an end to the chaos that you've caused."

"And how do you plan to do that!?" Prometheus laughed. "You haven't killed a single person, and I doubt you can start with me. You know you can't kill me. Even if my body fades away, chaos will eventually allow me to return to the world. It's an endless cycle that you and I can't escape from!"

"I know." Pandora said with a firm nod. "My hands are not clean, however. They are dirtied by every plan I've helped you with that has spilled blood. My inaction is no better than actually taking part. I may not be able to kill you, but there is a way to make sure that you never cause problems ever again."

"Huh?" Prometheus wasn't following.

Pandora knelt down, placing her hand on Promtheus's chest, black sparks flying from between the both of them. She grit her teeth, clenching her hand into a fist, slowly pulling out Prometheus' scythe from his body. "Chaos and Order are meant to coexist. One cannot exist without the other, but I have learned something on this day. Chaos will exist, with or without you, Prometheus. It will be my job to ensure that something like this never happens again."

Prometheus placed a hand on his chest, panting heavily as he stared up at Pandora. "What are you getting at!? I AM chaos!"

"It is as I just said. There will always be some entity that will create chaos, and it doesn't have to be you." Pandora held onto Prometheus' scythe, fighting off the conflicting powers she felt from the weapon that wasn't her own. She sliced the air, creating a black rift behind Prometheus that slowly started to drag him in. "This world will be a much better place without you in it."

"W-What are you doing!?" Prometheus clawed at the ground, trying to stop himself, but he was unable to. His body was too weak to put up any real fight.

"I am releasing every tortured soul within your grasp." Pandora said while twirling the scythe around, slashing Prometheus' chest. There was a gaping wound and every single soul that Prometheus handled personally was released, flying off into the sky to a better place. "Those souls can now rest peacefully, Prometheus. This is the end. I'm sealing you away in a place that you can never return to. This is the end of the Grim Reaper."

"NO! NOOOO! PANDORA! YOU CAN'T DO THIS!" Prometheus pleaded, slowly being dragged into the rift that lead to who knows where. Pandora didn't say anything, but she watched as Prometheus was no longer able to hold onto the ground, flying towards the rift that she created. "PANDOOOOOOOOOORAAAAAA!" The rift closed the moment Prometheus passed through it, sealing him away.

Pandora closed her eyes, once Prometheus was gone. She saw her duty through, but it was not easy for her heart. "Goodbye, Prometheus. The time we shared together…I will never forget it." As she said this, the black clouds that lingered in the sky slowly began to part, revealing a ray of sunshine that shone down on the Goddess of Order.

Fairy Tail was watching that entire exchange. Pandora was true to her word, taking care of Prometheus in exchange for being protected, but…they knew it wasn't easy for her, Mira slowly approached Pandora, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Thank you, Pandora."

"Mm." Pandora nodded slowly, keeping a hold of Prometheus' scythe. "It's probably for the best that I keep this."

"So…what happens now?" Freed asked.

"Because Prometheus lost everything, this land will soon return to normal. The souls that he claimed will also be allowed to rest once and for all." Pandora explained, turning to face Fairy Tail. "This matter has been resolved. Order and Chaos are in balance once again, and hopefully it will remain that way for a long time."

"Even if it doesn't, we'll be here to tip the scales." Natsu grinned.

"…That is one way to put it." Pandora covered her mouth, hiding the faint giggle she wanted to let loose. She had to remain stern and stoic after all. The land started to shine brightly around them. "Ah…it's starting."

"Wait…what are you going to do now?" Lucy asked. "Do you have a place to go?"
