Chapter 8

"Luffy." Calls Vivi as she walks into her friends room. Luffy looks up from her book that she is reading as her head rest on Shanks's lap as he sits on the floor looking out the room's window.

"Hey Vivi-chan. What's up?" Questions Luffy as she puts her book down and sits up as Shanks frowns as he had been running his fingers though her long hair as he was looking out the window just relaxing with his love.

"A letter has come for you." Said Vivi as she walks up to Luffy and Shanks as she hands the letter to Luffy.

Luffy arches a brow as she takes the letter from her friend. "Thanks." She tells Vivi. Opening up the envelope Luffy pulls out a letter. Pulling it out she unfolds the paper and looks at the writing on the letter.

My Dear Daughter Lufia

I know it has been awhile since I have written you. But I have just found out something interesting and I do question if it is true or not. But within the months I believe I will out the truth. But I have been told you are going to be marrying Red Hair Shanks. The son of … Well that is for him to tell you. For it isn't my place to say.

I give you my blessing on your up and coming marriage. I shall be there for you. But I think this was the kick your father needed to get himself into your life. Sadly I wish he would have taken part in it much soon. I don't have room to talk. For I haven't seen you since you were 14 years old. I just regret not coming up to you and tell you who I was. All you knew me as was Dadan's friend.

Her eyes widen at reading this part. "So Miss Bellona is my mother?" She questions to herself.

Shanks place his hand on her. "Your mom has her reasons for not telling who she was. For I have heard about the Battle Goddess in the New World." He tells her.

Lufia looks up at him. "Really?" She question him.

"Yeah. But I'll tell you stories about her sometime." Said Shanks.

"Hmm." Said Lufia with a nod and return to her letter.

But please don't be upset with me. You will be seeing me soon my dear daughter. I love you.

Ace and Sabo come into the room where Luffy and Shanks are just relaxing. Sabo narrows his eyes on the letter. While Ace openly glares at Shanks for having his baby sister laying on his lap.

"What's in your hands Lu?" Questions Sabo as he walks up to his baby sister.

She looks up at her older brother with a sad smile. "It's a letter from my mom." She said showing him the letter.

Sabo takes the letter and reads it as Ace looks over his shoulder reading it as well.

"Well damn. She will be an interesting person to meet." Said Ace looking back at Luffy.

"Yeah, and I guess I'll be meeting her soon." Said Luffy grinning as she sits up from laying on Shanks lap. "Shanks told me he has heard stories about her in the New World as she is known as the Battle Goddess." She added looking at her two wide eye brothers.

"Pop's always tells us to never engage her in battle for she will kill you without shedding a tear over her wrath in battle." Said Ace.

"Yeah, Dragon has also told us to just turn tail if we run into her on a mission. For like what Ace said. He told us the same." Said Sabo.

"Well I am glad I'll get to meet her soon." Said Luffy grinning.

"I am just glad we have finally finished our planning for our wedding." Said Shanks with a goofy grin.

Both brother's heads snap over at Shanks. "You finished planning?" They question as one.

"Yes." Said Luffy.

"When will you be getting married?" Questions Ace with gritted teeth.

"In three years." Said Shanks.

The two boys froze at hearing this. "Three years?" Questions Sabo with a confusion on his face.

"Yup." Chirps Luffy grinning at them.

"Why so long?" Questions Ace a little confused.

"For Luffy wants to travel and still grow stronger without me in her way." Said Shanks with a sheepish grin on his face.

"I want to see the world on my own first before I settle down." Said Luffy with a grin.

Her brothers just laugh and shake their head at her antics.
