Ch. 61: Kan'nō-tekina fukushū
Elsewhere, Beetlemon is having some difficulty in dealing with Masto-Mon due to the enemy Digmon's build as he resembled a humanoid-like Mastodon, and his tusks are so thick and strong that he uses them to stab his prey, and it started to pay off as Beetlemon is beginning to feel pain and the tusks are starting to penetrate his armored form, and Junpei realize that he need to find the Thunder Spirit as soon as possible.
However, Masto-Mon would not let his prey go and his nozzle-like nose emitted freezing fog, which struck the prey, and soon Beetlemon found out that his lower body is covered in thick ice, trapping him, and Masto-Mon laughed diabolically and said that he is going to enjoy himself.

As Masto-Mon goes for another charge, Beetlemon managed to hold him and unleashed a strong jolt of electricity which stunned the enemy Digmon, and backed away in disorientation, and Beetlemon uses his arms to smash the ice off and freed himself.
But Masto-Mon would not have any of it and fired a strong blast of energy and struck Beetlemon on his left chest, and the blast punctured his Digimon form and struck, and Beetlemon was thrown back, reverting back to normal, and Junpei was seriously injured, as his left chest area was bleeding and feels a lot of pain.

As Masto-Mon is gloating, he fired another blast, but Junpei managed to evade it and the blast struck a thick tree, which fell down and hit the enemy Digmon, distracting him and allowed Junpei to make a run for it though he is clearly in pain as blood drips down from his chest and is starting to have difficulty in breathing.
By then another Digimon showed up, and confronted the bleeding Junpei, and the teen boy sensed that he is about to be killed off, but the Digimon, identified as Leomon, helped him and said that he sensed that he is THE ONE he is waiting.
