『Chapter Eleven ~: Duality merges to form Personification 』
[:-{ San Francisco, CA ~ Golden Gate Park}-:]
It had been a month since I arrived to the city of San Francisco. As I got steeled in, I found that this earth and the one he been original from was different but in some ways the same. There was a sense of duality. With this in mind, I took the time to live in the city not in a building not even in the sub world. I lived as a homeless man, when I wasn't working. And to change my host form to reflect when I worked a variety of jobs I had done in my former life; from a bartender, barista, a long shoremen and many others enough to afford some creature comforts.
As it was my day off, I went for a stroll through one of the larger parks. I passed by a local shop for a snack, then, eating a vanilla ice cream cone I enjoyed my day with a small smile on my face. After a bit of a walk, I sat a bench. A memory came as I stared into the distance. I reminisced; the longer I remain on earth the more of my humanity and my former lives personality was resurfacing, but there was still the icy aggression of my new life brewing beneath. That was becoming a problem with my true personality developing.
I was so lost in thought I didn't notice the little girl maybe no older than three was stare into my eyes. "Hello, can I help you?"
"Why crying?" she mumbled through a face full of dried food, snot and other unidentifiable dirt.
I touch the area bellow my eyes I felt the wetness and it caused me to wipe them before I said with a smile; "Just dust got in."
"Oh, ok." The little girl nodded and then ran off I smiled and got up and finished my ice cream before getting up and going into a public rest room. I needed the privacy before opening a 『Gate』 and stepping through. I found myself in a farm area in Pleasant Hill, CA. I had been coming here frequently on days I wasn't living the life of a human.
[:-{ Pleasant Hill, CA }-:]
I had been coming to each farm here, stealing their livestock through letting a large platoon of Unas run wild; basically, stripping the farms of everything that could be taken. Of course, this was only done after I put all the humans in the general area into a state of deep sleep. Over the course of a month, I was a highlight on the news no one had seen the Unas and I had used weather manipulation to prevent satellites from seeing where I was letting the Unas work. In doing this I had collect a sufficient food source for my inhabits in the dimensional space as I had been watching the information panel.

The news had been reporting about this almost every night but there was no clues (at least in my opinion) about me. The equipment that need electrical, gasoline or other fuel I had taken apart and new version using alien technology to make a version that could be used there.
I had also upgraded the education of the Unas and they have all been setting up fully functional farms. In addition, in this time I had gone out in the ocean adding a large number of wild life to the sea with the idea of leaving the life to grow.
[:-{ San Francisco, CA }-:]
After the several farms were stripped of all that we could take the Unass return to be with their families and the time in the dimension returned to the original settings.
I looked around before re-open a 『Gate』 and stepped through and found my way back in an old alley I had been to in the past, and choose as my anchor location.
After my return, I continued my tasks; to find work unloading trucks as a burly man that almost looked to be a human, to a handsome bartender working for tips. I found it funny especially as my human personality asserted itself, I hadn't developed any other instinct other than wanting substance to stay alive or a place where I could rest comfortably.
Time went on I spent it working on earth try to reclaim what I could from what I lost even if it wasn't my earth. I also spent time in my sub-world, the Unas had changed with the addition of animals as material for food and fabrics. Without the need of using their own dead for spare parts, they began using funeral pyres to send the deceased to the next world.
Also, with the machines and such the Unas had moved even further into their evolution. The Middle Ages village look had gone from looking like settlements to industrial cities trying to establish manufacture-type industries. I was happy for them in a way I view the Unas as children that I got to watch over and even if it were short for me, these being had grown with my help.
[:-{ San Francisco, CA } [Mel's Dinner on Geary]-:]
I was sitting in a booth eating a breakfast of two eggs sunny side up a few strips of bacon and two orders of sour dough toast with a large glass of orange juice and cup of coffee.
As I was tucking in to my meal, a group of sedans pulled into the parking lot. A few people I was familiar with came out, all dressed in regular clothing. I was enjoying my breakfast otherwise I would of noticed, possibly paid them more mind, but just as I reach for the glass of juice without looking up I heard a cough. 'Oh crap.'
This was followed by an all too familiar voice. "How you been Bob."
My hand froze and I didn't look up. "Still not Bob...Jack!" I retrieved the juice and took a sip, forcing down my anger.
"Now Bob is that anyway to treat us we've been worried about you since that day we last talked."
"Oh, you mean when your friend took me on an interesting trip? And of course, the accommodations were confined and the neighbors were loud and violent. I even had panda eyes for a while." I cut one of the eggs and used a slice of toast to mop up the yoke after finally stating my peace. I felt the eyes watching me and I was sure a few were surprised I been living in this city unnoticed for so long so I asked, with a sigh. "Let's get this over with; how did you find me?"
Jack smiled. "I think I'd like you to guess."
"No." I looked up at him, clearly annoyed, to which I got a laugh.
"Wow, nearly two month and you actually develop a personality."
I responded in kind, "Actually the personality came around same time I went on that trip. The idea is either; one it was some type of social media thing I didn't notice I got caught in, or two I did something and a picture of me was taken or three someone saw me who you know."
"Fisherman's wharf three days ago," he replied with a smirk.
"Really?" I paused when I heard that was because I started to recall throwing several thugs that were harassing some elderly tourist and sixteen year old granddaughter into the area where a creature called sea lions sun bathed, all because they refused to listen even knocking the food in my hands to ground.
I grumbled and went back to eating, but Jack laughed so hard he was wiping the tears from corners of his eyes. This was bad.
"Time to go back."
"To which? Because if it your friends with the brooks brother off the rack than I rather be dropped on the north pole in a speedo."
Jack was slightly stunned at the mental picture of those words, but he smirked and said; "After what happen I think arraignment can be made but you seem different Bob."
"Not Bob! And living a normal human life a person or thing acclimates to their environment." I said as I swipe the last bit of yoke off the plate with a slice of toast and ate it.
Jack nodded and after their checking, it did seem I had been living a normal life. They learned about how I work some labor and made enough to keep feed and few creature comforts.
If they only knew about my gifts I be getting scheduled to be vivisected, but I had no reason to tell. Jack watched me take the receipt for my meal reach into my pants pocket and pull out a wad of crumpled bills.
After I paid, I handed the rest to waitress and Jack heard me say, "This will probably be the last we meet thanks for everything this is for you and your boy also make sure he keeps taking the pills I made he should be better in no time."
The waitress teared up slightly than kissed my cheek. "Thank you, Marcus, for all you've done and gave. May God bless you on your journeys."
My cheeks flushed and I picked up my coat and began to leave. Jack followed beside me followed by two governmental standard suits packing heavy artillery and then I heard Jack say, "So it's Marcus not Bob?"
My ears went pink followed by a laugh and me saying; "No to her I'm Marcus. For you I still haven't pick a name."
"Nope, it's Marcus: that's a good solid name." I felt Jack pat my shoulder just as we went out the door, I could sense eyes on us and then I saw Daniel and Samantha.
As we got closer Jack couldn't help himself as he said in an overly bright tone; "We found Marcus!"
Daniel and Samantha both had a blank what moment. And then it dawned on their innocent faces. And Daniel was about to tell us how interesting it was that I choose that name but, Jack saved the day by saying; "As interesting as that thought will obviously be, put pin in it until either were back or a goa'uld mothership is about to attack." With that in mind, everyone including myself got into a car and began heading to SF AIRPORT.
