Hello everyone! It's been a long time since the last update. I apologize for that. My muse for this story had gone down with me focusing on my other stories plus real life has been keeping. However, since this was the series that introduced me to the world of fanfiction, I feel that it at least deserves a finale. That's right this is the last chapter.
It may not be my best work, but I wanted to at least try and give this story an ending and not leaving it incomplete.
Now then hope you enjoyed the last chapter and thank you for reading.
Until We Meet Again.
Ao yawns as he gets up from his bed. He looks semi confused as he does not recognize his surroundings. He then looks out his window as he takes in the sight of the sub-urban city of Bellforest.
It finally clicks in his head where he was again. He smiled as he got up he went downstairs and smelled the sweet aroma of breakfast. He walks into the kitchen to see his mother cooking a large breakfast with his father helping set the table with utensils and food.
The two parents looked up to see their son at the front entrance. They smiled in unison.
"Morning Ao, did you sleep well?" Renton asked.
The turquoise teen nodded. "Hmm. Best night of sleep I've had in a long time."
Renton nodded. "Glad to hear it. Why don't you sit down while breakfast is set."
"I can help." Ao insisted. He did not want to sit and let his parents do everything for him.
However, his parents would have none of it. "Nonsense, Ao. You are a guest and should have to do anything." Eureka insisted.
Ao was about to speak up, but Renton stopped him. "Do as your mother says, Ao."
He sighed in resignation. "Okay."
As Ao sat with his father finishing setting the table, his five siblings came down. "Hey, kids." Renton greeted.
Maeter huffed "Dad we are not kids."
Linc nodded. "We are contributing adults of society." He said.
"We're even in college!" Maeter exclaimed as she pointed to herself, Linc, and Maurice.
"Breakfast is almost ready," Eureka said.
"Hooray!" Linc and Maeter said in unison. Renton, Axel, Annabelle, and Maurice rolled their eyes. So much for not being adults. As they all sat down, they greeted their new little brother. "How did you sleep, Ao?" Maeter asked.
"It was really comfortable. Thanks." Ao mumbled. He flinched a bit when his sister, Annabelle, poked him. "What's the matter?" she asked. Ao blushed. "N-Nothing." He stuttered.
Maeter got a huge smile on her face. "Aw. Is my little brother embarrassed? Don't worry." She says as she rubs Ao's cheek with her hand. "Your big sisters will always love you." Maeter teased. Ao blushed red from head to toe. He was never used to be teased. Fleur rarely did so, but hers always made butterflies flutter in his stomach. But Maeter's teasing was different. Maybe because it was a sibling teasing him, and he never experienced this before.
Fortunately, his dad came to the rescue with a flick to his sister's head. "Maeter please stop embarrassing him. You can keep teasing him later."
Maeter pouted but relented. "Fine."
Ao sighed and nodded. "Thank you, dad."
"So, what's the plan for today Mom? Dad?" Ao asked.
"Well, I was planning a family picnic, but I had a change of plans due to an unexpected call," Eureka said in excitement.
Everyone raised an eyebrow in wonder. "Who was it?" Renton asked.
"It was none other than Holland. He called to announce he'll be visiting Belforest for a reunion of the entire Gekko crew!" Eureka exclaimed.
"WAIT! REALLY?!" everyone at the dinner, except Ao, shouted in surprise.
Linc scratched the back of his hair. "Aw man, how long has been since we saw everyone?"
"I think the wedding was the last official time. Besides Misha, we have seen Holland and Talho a few more times. I think the last time we spoke with them dealt with the disappearing sub-corals." Eureka replied.
"Oh yeah, we did ask them if we could use the old Gekko ship for it." Renton mused.
"Um, would it be okay if I came as well?" Ao asked. Everyone looked incredulously at him.
"What are you talking about? Of course, you are coming as well! We already planning to introduce them to our daughter during the baby shower. But they'll be seeing her early and our new son as well!" she exclaimed.
Ao still looked unconvinced. "Are you sure?"
"Of course, we are! We can have a large picnic! Plus, there's the Festival in Bellforest." Eureka said.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot about that," Maurice muttered.
"Festival? What kind of festival?" Ao asked.
"It's a weeklong celebration of the Second Summer of Love." Maurice then gave his parents a sly grin. "And if you want to know what that is just ask our parents."
Ao was confused as the rest of his siblings began to snicker uncontrollably, especially by the sheepish look from his father and the flustered blush from his mother. "What is he talking about?" Ao asked.
"N-Nothing, you'll understand later." Eureka stammered.
"C'mon dear, it's not that embarrassing," Renton assured, but all he awarded was a stern glare.
"I said later and that's final." She said in a curt tone, though her blush just made her cute in Renton's eyes. However, he raised his hands in surrender. "Alright, when will they land?"
"They should be here late in the afternoon."
Renton hummed in thought. "That gives us plenty of time to get everything ready for their arrival."
Eureka nodded and turned to her kids. "Ao. You, Renton, Maurice, and the others will go into town and get some supplies. We have a huge feast and picnic to prepare for our friends."
"Um, would it be safe for me to go?" Ao asked.
Axel tapped his brother on his back. "You'll be fine. Most people will just think you are a huge fan of mom and dad."
Ao looked at his parents in confusion. "Are you two that famous?"
His siblings chuckled as his dad shook his head in amusement. "You'll find out soon enough." He assured.
"Come on everyone. Let's all eat!" Eureka cheered.
"Really big day today. Let us do our best!" one person said as he worked on his stand as everyone around him agreed and worked on their own stands.
Ao looked at everything around him in awe. Once they had finished breakfast, the group decided to quickly get all the supplies they would need and to not leave Eureka alone for too long much to her protests. "Wow, everyone is so lively today," he said.
The rest of his family simply sighed in annoyance. "They are almost like this almost every time we pass through," Maurice muttered.
"At least today they have a legit reason for celebrating," Axel replied.
Renton sighed in exasperation. "It honestly gets annoying. Thankfully they don't worship me like they used when we first moved in."
"Yeah, they only do that now when we repair something that's broken," Maurice replied.
"At least that makes more sense since it's from gratitude," Maeter said.
As the large family bought supplies and walked around the market, one of the patrons greeted them.
"Oh, who is this young man with you Renton?" a kindly old patron asked.
"He looks just like Eureka. Is he a long-lost family member?" asked a younger patron next to the elderly one.
Renton chuckled as he ruffled Ao's head, much to his protests and embarrassment. "Something like that." He spoke.
A young woman joined in on the conversation. "Oh, he looks a bit like you Renton. Maybe it gives him some ideas for the near future." She said with a wink to him.
Ao blushed as the rest of the children giggled or laughed in amusement. Renton merely rolled his eyes. "Hahaha. Let's head out." The group said goodbye to the patrons as they bought several more groceries and supplies before returning home.
The group returned home to find the kitchen filled with cooking pots and the oven on. "Hey, Eureka how's it going?" Renton asked.
"Great!" Eureka cheered. "The food will be ready in a few hours."
Renton came up to help Eureka carry some pots as the kids began putting away the groceries. "Let me handle things from here, honey." He spoke.
Eureka pouted. "I am not helpless, Renton!"
"Of course, you're not," Renton smirked as he gave her a quick peck on the lips. Eureka blushed and muttered incoherently, which just made her husband chuckle in amusement.
"Are they always like this?" Ao asked as he felt a bit embarrassed seeing his parents act all lovey dovely in front of him.
"You have no idea." All of his siblings said in unison.
[A Few Hours Later]
"Damn," Ao said in amazement. "This is a really large spread."
Maurice chuckled. "Just wait and see what the Gekko crew will bring in."
"Not including any unexpected guests," Linc replied.
"Do you mean, me?" Ao asked. Annabelle gave her brother a pat on the back. "Of course not, your family. Just like the rest of the crew!"
Before Ao or anyone else could say anything, they heard the loud bellow of an aircraft approaching. They all looked up to see the gecko ship approaching. "Wow, it looks like the one that was in the meteor," Ao said in awe.
"Yeah, after the original was decommissioned, they needed a new one. But they wanted to keep the overall design of the original." Eureka explained.
As the ship landed; the hatch opened as several people walked out of the ship. "Hey, guys! Long time no see!" a familiar woman with short black hair said as several others began forming up next to her.
"Everyone!" the Thurston family cheered as they rushed towards their long-time Gekko crew friends and enveloped them in a large group hug.
"The Gekko crew is back together again!" Gidget cheered.
"My, how have you three grown." Talho, the black-haired woman, said as she hugged the eldest three of the Thurston children.
"Thanks, Talho!" Maeter replied.
"How's your daughter doing, Talho?" Maurice asked. Talho giggled. "Why don't you ask her yourself?"
A young girl around Axel's and Annabelle's age if not older approached. She had short black hair in a pixie cut with violet eyes. This was Diane. Holland and Talho's oldest child. Maeter hugged the girl. "Hello, Diane. How are you? It's so good to see you again." she exclaimed.
The young girl giggled as she returned the hug. "I am doing great. Dad has been teaching me how to use a ref board. I can't wait to learn how to pilot an LFO!"
"You're still too young for that young lady," Talho said sternly.
Diane pouted in disappointment. "Aw, mom." The trio giggled as Talho smiled and gave a welcoming hug to Annabelle and Axel.
"So Talho, are you getting any ideas for another one?" Linc asked.
"Well, I have been thinking of giving little Diane a sibling for him to play with. I mean she already cuddles William I can only imagine what she will do if we had more." Talho teased as she ruffled her daughter's hair.
"Mom please don't embarrass me!" a beet red Diane shrieked. William, the second child of Holland and Talho, had short grey hair and grey eyes blushed at the reminder of his sister's cuddling.
Everyone laughed at the mother and daughter interaction. Maurice shook his head. "You never change, Talho!"
Talho huffed. "I take that as a compliment."
Eureka came up and gave Talho a strong hug while avoiding harming her child. "I see pregnancy has done wonders for you, Eureka," Talho said.
"Why thank you." Eureka giggled.
"I hope you have been taking it easy, Eureka. I don't have to remind you what overstraining yourself can do." Misha lectured as she came up to the group.
"Hello, Misha. I hope you're doing well after our last visit." Eureka replied.
"Well considering my stress levels always peak when you and your husband are doing something reckless, I'll say I am doing well all things considered," Misha said. Eureka and Renton chuckled awkwardly.
"Now what's this I hear about you having another kid? You seem to keep yourself busy. What was having Eureka pregnant and five other kids not enough for you?" A familiar middle-aged man shouted as they approached the group.
Renton rolled his eyes. "Shut up, Holland. It's good to see you too." The two give each other a strong handshake.
"You two have not changed a bit." A familiar voice said.
"Anemone! Dominic!" Eureka shouted and gave the two a tight hug.
"It's good to see you two again." Renton greeted more calmly and gave Dominic a hug and Anemone a hug.
"Likewise." the pink-haired woman said.
"So how are the twins?" Renton asked.
Anemone giggled. "A handful like always. I bet yours can be a bit of a handful as well. Reina, unfortunately, couldn't come with us since she was too busy with her schedule, but she sends her regards."
"We can imagine." Renton and Eureka said in unison.
"Uncle Renton. Auntie Eureka!" the twin girls shouted that had black hair like their father but had the eyes of their mother. Their names were Sakura and Rin. The two girls rushed as they hugged their favorite aunt and uncle.
"Oh hello girls, you've grown so much." Eureka greeted.
"Thank you!" the twins replied.
"Hey, girls!" Diane, William, Axel, and Annabelle greeted and they came together for a tight group hug.
"We missed you!" the twins said to the boy who blushed a bit.
The parents all giggled in amusement. "They're so cute when they get together like this." Eureka giggled.
"They are so inseparable it's always so hard to get them to say goodbye," Talho said as she wiped fake tears from her eyes.
"It always makes us feel bad. Especially when they start crying." Anemone lamented.
"Mom! Don't embarrass us!" the kids exclaimed.
Ao chuckled awkwardly. "So this is what it's like to see parents embarrass their kids."
Everyone turned to the turquoise teen. "So is this Ao, huh?"
"H-Hello." Ao shyly replied.
Talho pinched his cheek. "Well, aren't you a cutie? You look like a male version of your mother."
Ao blushed in embarrassment. "Please don't remind me. I wish I had my old hair back I got from dad. At least then I would be a mix of both." Remembering not so pleasant memories of when he was put in a dress.
"Ah, hear that Renton. You have a kid didn't hate your guts at first glance that must relieve you." Talho teased.
"Hahahahaha. Yeah." Renton said with an eye roll.
Ao looked between the two in confusion. "Did I miss something?"
Ao was even more confused as all his siblings laughed a bit. "Nothing at all," Maurice said awkwardly.
After the group enjoyed their reunion picnic and cleaned up the aftermath of the huge fest. "Well, then why don't we enjoy the festival today?" Holland asked.
Everyone quickly cheered as they all rushed to enjoy the festival.
The group took turns going through the different stands and trying the variety of foods and games being offered. Everyone got rather competitive when trying to win a prize for their significant other, especially Holland and Renton that always seem to try to one-up each much to their wives and everyone else's exasperation and amusement.
"Ha! We have a tie!" the carny exclaimed.
"I see age has not dulled your aim, Holland." Renton teased.
"Ha, I can teach some things, brat." Holland retorted.
Ao looked at the two older men in amused confusion. "Are they always this competitive?"
Everyone snorted. "You should have seen them when they were younger."
"You weren't kidding, mom," Ao said.
Eureka smiled. "Nope!"
Talho patted Eureka's head. "Is she always this chipper? Pregnancy has done amazing things to her mood."
"I envy that." Anemone replied.
Renton offered his seat to his newest son. "Why don't you try this Ao?"
Ao raised his hands in surrender. "Um. I have never tried this before."
His father simply smirked. "First try for everything."
Ao, knowing that it was futile to try and argue against, just decides to sit down and try the game. As the bell rings, Ao focuses and manages to hit most of his targets, but fails at the last second to get the last target.
"Ohhhhhhhhh." Everyone groaned. "So close," Ao muttered as he got invested into the game a lot more than he thought. Maybe due to his audience and wanting to impress them? He feels a pat on his back and turns to see his sister, Annabelle, gives him a bright smile.
"Here brother let me help!" she said happily. Ao blinked but decided to give the girl a chance. And to Ao's amazement, Annabelle got all of the targets in record time without missing a single shot.
"Nice!" Ao praised. Annabelle blushed at her brother's praise as everyone else gave a good pat on the shoulder and a hug from her family for a job well done.
For winning the game, she received a giant teddy bear as a prize. "Yay! Here you go, brother." Annabelle said as she handed the stuffed animal to her brother.
"T-Thanks." Ao stuttered with a blush as tried to ignore the snickers of everyone around. Yet another embarrassing moment he will never be able to forget.
"Come here. Let's go to the hill to watch the fireworks." Everyone nodded as they all took the trek to the hill that gives them a large overview of Bellforest and give them some privacy to themselves. They made sure to take some cold drinks and sweets to enjoy the show they were about to witness.
"Hmmm. So good!~" all of the children said in unison. The adults had a much more subdued reaction but enjoyed the sweets and drinks just as much.
"This is amazing. It feels just like the old days." Holland said after a period of silence.
"Getting nostalgic, Holland. Hope your age isn't getting to you." Renton teased.
"Ha. You wish brat!" Holland retorted as he gave Renton much to his annoyance and everyone's amusement. Suddenly, one of the kids called out. "Hey, the moon is coming out!"
Everyone looked up in excitement, with Ao confused about what the fuss was all about. His mother's reaction just added more to his confusion. Eureka was, in laymen's terms, freaking out. "WHAT?! Nononononono., Ao you can't see this!" she screeched in fear and nervousness as a red blush covered her face.
Everyone looked on in muted amusement as they saw the usually peppy girl, freaking out. Taking pity on his wife, Renton got up and gave her a nice and gentle, but firm hug. This seems to calm her down, though she still looked rather angsty.
"Relax Eureka. It's not that embarrassing." Renton whispered into her ear.
Eureka shuddered as she blushed a bit. "Yes, it is. Especially for me."
"If I recall you were partly responsible for it." Renton teased.
"That's exactly why I don't want Ao to see it."
"Wait what are you guys talking about?" Ao asked aloud in confusion. Just what was going on? What did his parents do to the moon?
Everyone snickered or outright laughed. "You're about to see," Dominic said with a minor chuckle.
It did not take long for the clouds to clear and for Ao to see just what the whole fuss over the moon was about. The moon was large and very close as it illuminated the night skies over Belforest. However, what really got Ao's attention was the engraving of a heart at the center of the moon with the names of Renton and Eureka at the center. Ao stayed dumbfounded as he heard the laughter of everyone around him, probably due to his reaction. He noticed from the corner of his eye that his mother was covering her face with her hands.
Finally, Ao reacted as he started to laugh awkwardly at the spectacle before him. "Seriously, you guys. This is so embarrassing." He turned to his parents to give them a crooked smile. "So these are my parents, huh?"
Ao got a pat on his back from all of his siblings. "Welcome to the family, Ao," Maurice said with a sincere smile. Ao smiled back at his brother as the entire Thurston family went in for a group hug. The group continued to talk and gaze at the moon as the fireworks began to fly and explode and light up the night sky. The night continued for several hours until everyone returned to the Thurston home and enjoyed a nice and relaxing cool down from today's events.
Eventually, everyone noticed it was close to 4 in the morning and everyone decided it was time to go to sleep. Ao yawned as flopped to his bed, completely exhausted but very happy. He wondered idly how everyone was doing back in his timeline as his eyes finally closed.
[In Ao's dream]
"Look Flueur you have to keep calm," Chief said.
Fleur was anything but calm. In fact, she was completely hysterical. "HOW CAN I KEEP CALM?! AO HAS BEEN GONE FOR THREE WEEKS!"
"FLEUR!" Hannah shouted as that finally seemed to calm her down. "Look, I know you're worried. We all are. However, Ao went with his mother. I am sure he will be fine. He will be with his family."
"Yeah, but that baby in Eureka is his sister, not him? What is he supposed to do? Wait until she is born and hope that his parents conceive him next? What will he do? Live in a world where there are two of him?" Fleur demanded.
"I don't know but I am sure Ao will think of something. Just have some patience."
Fleur sighed in aggravation. She hated it, but she knew they were right. "Fine. How's Elaine?"
"She is still in solitary confinement. But she has not said a word since we put her there. The only thing she has said is that she wants no visitors." Chief explained.
Fleur sighed. "Alright."
Hannah gave the blond pilot a soft hug. "Get some rest, Fleur." She advised. "You have been through a lot of stress."
Fleur nodded. "Fine." She quickly left the bridge to return to her living quarters as she just fell to the bed with no energy to change into more appropriate attire. The stress was too much for the young girl to handle. "Please come back, Ao. Please come back to me." She quietly begged as she tried to go back to sleep as tears went down her cheeks.
[Back with Ao]
Ao jumped out of his bed as he awoke from his dream sweating heavily. He took a deep breath as she looked down. "Fleur." He said quietly.
The turquoise teen sighed as he got up and dressed to go downstairs. As the rest of the family and guests got up and had a large breakfast outside on the patio of the house. Renton and Eureka noticed that their newest son seemed to be rather down today. "Ao, what's the matter?" Eureka asked in concern.
"It's just I had a dream last night." Ao sighed as he explained to everyone what he saw in his dream.
"Three weeks huh? Yet it's only been a few days." Misha said as thought over the drastic difference in time passing between the two eras.
"Do you want to go back, Ao?" Maurice asked his little brother.
Ao shook his head. "I don't know. I am happy here. I get to be here with everyone. I get to be here with you guys. But deep down I knew I couldn't stay for long. After all, I can't be here when I get conceived. Or worse I may not be conceived at all."
Eureka slammed her hands on the table. "Ao of course we would conceive you! We want you here too!"
"You know even if you did return, now we know where you are. We can easily get to you at the moment that you return." Renton said. Everyone turned to the middle-aged brunette.
"How?" Ao asked.
"Well, you said Eureka arrived in your time, and you were born a few days or weeks afterward right? Then she disappeared when you were two. All I have to do is make sure to meet Eureka at the moment she was about to disappear but we make sure to arrive at the time you are about to return to."
Everyone looked at the head of the Thurston family with a mix of surprise, amazement, and confusion. "That sounds really complicated," Maeter said, voicing everyone's thoughts.
Renton shrugged. "It's time travel what do you expect?"
Talho frowned. "Renton you will have to be really precise because one screw up and you and Eureka may end up somewhere completely different."
Renton nodded. "I know but it's our best bet." He then turned to his son. "But this is all on you, Ao. What do you want to do?"
Ao paused. Just what was he going to do. He had his life back in Japan, but he had his family here. He could have everything he always wanted. But could he leave Japan behind? Could he leave Fleur behind? He gulped. "I think-"
BOOM!
Everyone nearly fell to the ground from the explosion. "WHAT WAS THAT?!"
"LET'S GO!" they all rushed into the main road to enter the city. Ao paled as he saw five familiar black and violet mechs appearing above Belforest. "Oh no."
"What is that?!" Holland shouted.
"A secret," Ao said.
"As in the ones you face in your time?!" Linc asked.
"What it's doing here?" Axel asked.
Ao glared at the mech. "I don't know but I am going to stop it." He quickly turned and ran back into the house.
"Ao, where are you going?!" Eureka asked.
"I am getting the Nirvash!" before she could say anything, her husband beat her to it. "Ao wait!"
"Renton?!" Eureka asked as she saw her husband rushing to follow their son.
Renton turned and gave his wife a look. "You stay here with everyone else, I'll go…."
However, Eureka would have none of that. "No, you don't! We are doing this together. UNDERSTAND?!"
Renton flinched at her tone but couldn't help it as he laughed. "Can't stop you can I?" he asked.
Eureka smirked. "Not even if you tied me up, I would still find my way to you."
Renton nodded. "Alright let's go."
Ao had just reached the hangar that held the Nirvash when he heard his father call to him. He turned to see his parents coming to him. "What are you two doing here?"
"We are doing this together," Eureka said firmly.
He looked at the two. "Are you sure?" Ao asked.
"Yes." They said in unison.
Ao nodded. "Alright, let's do this."
The three quickly got into the machine and grabbed the compact drive. "Let's go, Nirvash!" The type zero's eyes glowed as its head popped up. In a burst of light, the LFO was in the air as it reached the invading secrets.
The invading machines tried to blast the enemy machine, but the LFO's great maneuverability allowed it to fly over and around all of the attacks and launch counter-attacks through and use its blades to cut through the arms of the first secret.
The second and third black mech tried to entrap them, but Eureka would have none of that as she moved the Nirvash to flip right above the mechs and fired her red homing missiles onto the two mechs.
The last two tried to blast the LFO, but Renton quickly moved the Nirvash away and Ao then maneuvered forward to bisect the two mechs as their lower halves exploded. The Nirvash turned to its enemies to see that while damaged were still ready to fight.
"Damn these things are tough," Eureka said. Ao nodded. "But nothing we can't handle."
However, to their shock, the secrets began to glow as they all came together to form one giant black mech.
"Shit, they've merged." Renton cursed. What were they supposed to do now? Fighting a few would be easy, but something this big and on its own is something different.
[Are you afraid?] the three Thurston flinched at their familiar voice.
"Nirvash?" Renton asked.
[Do you have faith in me? In our power?] Nirvash asked.
"Of course I do Nirvash," Renton said.
"We always will." Eureka followed up.
[So, let's do it again.]
"NIRVASH!" the three said in unison as they pulled the compact drive as the cockpit was covered in a bright green and violet light as the mech also glowed brightly. Everyone watched in awe as the Nirvash began to grow and became bulkier and more heavy-duty. As the light died down, the Nirvash was completely different. It was now in its SpecV3 form.
Everyone looked at the mech in awe.
Ao, Eureka, and Renton looked in their new mech in amazement. "Well, this is new," Renton said.
"Woah," Eureka said in amazement.
Ao looked at the Secret machine with a determined glare. "Let's do it." The V3 launched several laser bits around the secret. The black mech tried to swat them away, but the bits were too small to be easily destroyed and quickly began to fire at the joints and other vulnerable areas on the suit itself.
"Let's finish it!" Ao exclaimed as Nirvash raised its blade and barreled towards the black monstrosity. With one powerful swing, the white blade pierced through the mech like a hot knife through butter. It was over in an instant as the mech was exploded and reduced to nothing but ashes.
"We did it!" the three said in unison. Everyone down below in Belforest cheered as they were saved once more by the Thurston family.
Back in the cockpit as Renton praised Ao's piloting skills, Eureka noticed something. "Look!" To their and everyone in Bellforest's amazement, seven pillars of light erupted from the portal that the secrets came from.
"A Seven Swell," Renton muttered. He turned to his son. "I guess it's time." The group looked at one another somberly as they knew this was eventually going to happen. Renton sighed sadly as he turned to a small compartment in the cockpit and brought out a large back with his old refborad connected to it.
"Here son." Ao grabbed the bag and looked at his father in confusion. "When did you…"
Renton smirked. "Call it parental intuition."
Ao smirked. "Thank you for everything." He said sincerely.
Eureka shook her head. "I should be thanking you. You saved me and your sister."
"That is what family is for," Ao replied with a smile.
Renton looked up as he grabbed the compact drive. Eureka and Ao followed suit. "Nirvash helps us here!" The compact drive glowed as the Nirvash glowed again. Only this time it split into two. The first one remains in its specV3 form, but the other reverted into its Spec two form.
"We split off," Ao said in amazement.
"Go son before it disappears!" Renton ordered from Ao's communication display. Ao nodded as he quickly changed the LFO into flight mode and flew straight into the swell. As he was flying into the lights, his display lit up as his parents, his siblings, and the rest of Gekkostate bid their farewells to him.
"Take care Ao!" Eureka said.
"We'll see you soon brother!" Axel and Annabelle said.
"Come back soon, brother!" Maurice, Linc, and Maeter said.
"Say hello to Fleur for us!" literally everyone said.
Ao blushed a bright red as he flew into the swell. "How embarrassing." He muttered to himself. He took a deep breath as he looked up with a determined glare. "I promise. Mom. Dad. Everyone. We will see each other again."
[Off the coast of Japan]
Fleur was on top of the ship as she stared at the bright blue ocean with an angry, sad frown. She sniffed sadly. "Stupid Ao."
Suddenly, a bright light illuminated the clear blue skies that blinded her. "Wah!" She shouted as she fell on her butt. She tried to look at the light, but it was too bright for her to see. However, just as soon as the light came, it disappeared.
Fleur shook her head as she tried to get her bearings and regained her sight her eyes threaten to pop out of her head. Floating above her was a familiar red and white LFO. The same one that Eureka left in with Ao. And now it was here again, but this time with only one pilot looking down at her.
"Hey, Fleur. I got your message." Ao said simply as he jumped out to greet his commander/friend/crush.
Fleur had a myriad of emotions going through her mind and was unsure which one to latch onto. She decided to focus on the one she was currently feeling the most. Anger and worry.
SLAP!
"Ow! What was that really necessary?!" Ao exclaimed. He knew he deserved it for worrying her, but did she have to put so much force into it? However, he was quickly made silent as Fleur brought him into a tight hug.
"Do you how worried I was, you idiot? I couldn't sleep at night because I had no idea what could be happening to you! Don't ever worry me like that again, understand!" She said fiercely.
Ao blinked a bit as he blushed at how warm he felt in Fleur's arms. He chuckled as he returned the hug just as strong which caused Fleur to blush as well. "Yeah, I promise." He said resolutely. "Let's get inside, I have a lot to tell all of you."
Thank you for the time taken to read my story. This was something I wrote up when I first came into fanfiction. Maybe one day I will come back to this series, but it won't be for a while. Hope you all had a wonderful day.
