Part 16: Forgiving on Christmas
Outside the Karaoke bar where Kazuya and Sumi worked. They had all planned to hang out here on Christmas along with helping a friend of theirs, "Ruka what are you doing here?" Kuri asked still looking surprised to see her. The last time he had seen her was when Kazuya and Kibe found out he had gotten a rental girlfriend.
"I came here to apologize to you for suddenly showing up that day and revealing who I was," Ruka said looking down.
"Why did you show up at my college that day anyway?" Kuri asked.
"This isn't going to be good," Kibe thought looking serious.
"I had originally signed up to be a rental girlfriend so that I could experience love, when you told me about how Kazuya stood up for Chizuru I thought I might have chance since I found out she was a rental girlfriend," she said before looking up sad.
"But I never found out she had quit before you and I went on that double date with them, I was more focused on getting Kazuya that I didn't think about how you would feel," she said.
"So Im sorry for putting you through that," she said now looking down.
"Kuri," Kazuya said getting his friends attention, "I found myself lucky when me and Chizuru started dating, so if I can find someone to love then Im sure you can too," he said smiling.
Chizuru smiled from her boyfriends words, "I'm lucky to have you too," she thought remembering the smile on Kazuyas face when he believed she could become an actor.
"You have really good friends," Ruka said smiling, "Chizuru was the one to convince me to come today and apologize to you, they were worried about you," she said making Kuri look surprised as he looked at his friends.
"You did that for me?" He asked and Chizuru smiled.
"It wasn't a problem, you were nice enough to not tell anyone I was a rental girlfriend myself," She said.
"I wasn't sure about this whole thing myself with the way you were acting after what happened," Kibe said before smiling, "But looks like it was the right choice," he said and Sumi nodded.
Kuri then smiled, "Thanks guys," he said before looking at Ruka, "Hey if you don't have anything going on why don't you join us for Karaoke," he said making her look surprised.
"Wait what," she said.
"I don't see the problem," Chizuru said making her look surprised again.
"Yeah join us its Christmas after all," Sumi said smiling. Instead of looking even more surprised Ruka just smiled before nodding her head.
"Alright lets go in," Kibe said before they all walked inside. When they reached the counter Kazuya noticed his boss standing behind the counter.
"Oh Chizuru its been a while, I hope Kazuya gave you something nice for Christmas," he said looking serious while Chizuru just smiled.
"His gifts were very nice actually, sorry I haven't been by more often," she said.
"No its alright, so lets set you all up then," he said before reaching the register. After booking a room the group sat down in their seats and started choosing which songs to sing. Kazuya and Chizuru went first and Kazuya looked embarassed when he realized he didnt sounds good. But he continued when he noticed Chizuru was enjoying it.
"Its finally over," Kazuya thought letting out a sigh as he sat back down while Kuri and Kibe smiled.
"Hey you did really get up there Kazuya," Kibe said.
"Yeah not bad at all," Kuri said.
Kazuya looked annoyed before Chizuru spoke up, "You did your best and it was kind of fun to sing together," she said smiling.
"Yeah I guess it was," Kazuya said rubbing the back of his head while blushing.
"Will it be okay if I go next," Sumi said holding up her hand.
"Sure, you okay with singing in front of everyone?" Kibe asked and Sumi nodded looking determined before picking up a microphone and standing in front of the table. They all then looked surprised of how good she was and Kibe just looked at her surprised.
"She's amazing," he said.
After she was finished she looked down embarrassed before sitting down next to Kibe while Chizuru clapped, "She really has come far," she thought before Kuri went up next.
"Alright I'm starting to get thirsty so how about I put the order in," Kibe said.
"Yeah," Kazuya said cheering while Kuri began to sing.
As everyone took their turn to sing with even Chizuru and Sumi singing together while Kazuya and Kibe cheered. Their drinks arrived and everyone started talking.
"Was it tough finding another job after you quit being a rental girlfriend?" Ruka asked Sumi who was sitting next to Chizuru while Kazuya and Kibe were singing.
"Not really, Kazuya helped me get a job here the day after I decided to quit," Sumi said before Chizuru finished her drink.
"You started liking Kibe before the day in the bowling alley right?" She asked and Sumi nodded.
"Yeah honestly the dates I went on before that day I didn't feel right," Sumi said.
"Did you feel about that after you started liking Kazuya?" Ruka asked looking at Chizuru who nodded.
"Yeah, honesty I rushed over to his apartment after Kibe told me Kazuya had seen me when I was out with a client," Chizuru said.
"That was the same night you got together right?" Sumi asked and Chizuru nodded.
"From what the boss said earlier it sounded like you used to work here," Ruka said.
"Yeah I left to focus more on my acting after I found about the play I'm in right now and I started to earn money after Kibe found that video game company that needed voice actors," she said.
"Well Im sure you'll do great in the play Chizuru," Sumi said.
"Thanks Sumi," Chizuru said before Kazuya sat back down next to her and grabbed his drink. Much later it was about time for everyone to head home. Kuri and Ruka were the first ones to leave and when the two couples caught up to them outside they saw Ruka holding Kuris phone.
"I really had a lot of fun tonight," Ruka said smiling.
"Glad you enjoyed it, sorry If I was terrible singer," Kuri said rubbing the back of his head looking embarrassed while Ruka laughed.
"No you were fine, anyway my numbers on your phone and I have yours," she said, "I know you invited me to hang out with all of you but I want to make up for it more, let me pay for lunch one day," she said.
"Yeah that's great, so ill wait for your call," Kuri said.
"Yeah, ill be looking forward it," Ruka said, "Bye Kuri," she said waving at him as she walked away.
"Take care," Kuri said smiling before noticing his friends looking at them. Kibe was giving him a thumbs up. "Merry Christmas guys," he said before heading home.
"Merry Christmas Kuri," said Kazuya smiling.
After the two couples said goodbye to each other Kazuya and Chizuru headed back to their apartment. When they got there the two of them lied down on their bed with smiles on their faces.
"That was fun," Chizuru said smiling.
"Yeah," Kazuya said before remembering seeing Kuri and Ruka outside the Karaoke bar, "Thanks for what you did for Kuri, I think that really helped him," he said.
"It wasn't a problem," she said. "So I guess this ends our first Christmas together as a couple," she said.
"Yeah I guess your right," Kazuya said, "What did you think?" He asked before she sat up smiling and looked at him.
"I say im looking forward to many more," she said making him blush.
Kazuya then smiled, "Sounds great to me," he said before the two of them kissed.
