IMPORTANT AUTHOR'S NOTE!(PLEASE READ!): Okay everyone, now I haven't really been able to upload new chapters for many of my stories. This is in part due to my own lack of time to write due to a rather hectic schedule. Like they say 'life gets in the way.', and that is especially true for me. So to make up for a lack of uploads, I have written this long one shot that is a challenge for all of you readers out there. PM me or let me know in the reviews if you're interested in accepting the challenge! I challenge ANY WRITER to write a full version of this story and make it into a truly splendid work of art that I could only DREAM of writing on my own!
(Now, with that all out of the way for now, let's get on with the story, shall we?)

Rise of a Heroic Predacon!
"Mom, hurry!" exclaimed a four year old boy with curly/spiky green and black hair as he ran up to his mother. "Come on, Mom. It's computer time!"
"Already?" the green haired woman asked.
She turned off the water in the sink and removed her apron as she allowed herself to be led by her son to the computer room. As she began to pull up YouTube, her son eagerly climbed into a plush chair while holding an action figure of his favorite pro hero, All Might.
"Come on, hurry up! Hurry!" exclaimed the excited four year old.
As her son rocked back and forth in the chair with an excited smile on his face, the green haired woman, Inko, sighed as she pulled up her son's favorite video to watch.
"I think you've added ten thousand views to this one by yourself, Izuku. I don't know how you can watch it by yourself. I think it's scary." Inko said.
But regardless, she stayed with her son and watched the video with him. It was a video recounting the debut of the Number One Hero in Japan, All Might, as he saved at least a hundred people all at once.
"Fear not, citizens. Help has arrived. For I AM HERE!" he says with confidence and a heroic spirit.
At this point, little Izuku's eyes are sparkling like precious gems as he watches All Might's debut video. He stood up and put his hands on his hips as he tried to copy All Might's pose.
"He's the coolest in the universe! And when I get my quirk, I'm gonna be just like him!" Izuku says as he imitates All Might's laugh.
Inko just smiled at her adorable ball of sunshine. She just knows that her son will have a fantastic quirk, and will someday change the world. She can feel it in her heart. And those feelings that she gets have never steered her wrong before. Heck, if Inko didn't already know that her quirk was the ability to levitate objects big enough to fit in the palm of her hand, she might have thought that her quirk was actually a form of future sight.
She gathered her son up in a bear hug that only a mother can give, much to the joy of the four year old. Some might say he's in the "clingy to mommy" stage, but that's to be expected, really. His father's not around as often as he would like to be, what with being a successful businessman with a company to run. But he always makes sure that his family is well taken care of. Though, as a result, Izuku is very emotionally attached to his mother.
One thing about him was certain, though. He couldn't wait for his quirk to finally manifest.
***The Next Day…***
"Sorry, kid. It ain't gonna happen."
Little Izuku went stiff as a board and turned white as a ghost upon hearing the rather blunt statement. He was in so much shock he dropped his action figure causing some of the smaller pieces to break off upon hitting the ground.
"Oh dear, you really think there's something wrong?" Inko asked, worry clear in her voice. "Most of the children in his kindergarten class are already showing signs of their quirks, but is it really that bad?"
The doctor looked up from his clipboard, an impassive, almost uncaring, expression marred his features. All the while, Izuku was in too much shock to pay any real attention to the conversation. And really, after having such a bomb dropped on the little guy, who can blame him?
"You and the boy's father are fourth gen quirk users, correct? What quirks do you and his father have?" the doctor asked.
"Nothing too special. I can levitate objects towards me so long as they're small enough to fit into the palm of my hand," replied Inko as she demonstrated her quirk on her son's action figure. "And my husband can breathe fire."
"Izuku should have manifested one of those or a combination of both. But after reviewing his x-ray I don't think so." "Those who have will develop a quirk only have one joint in their pinky toe. But as you can see from your son's x-ray, his is double-jointed. This means that he belongs to the rare twenty percent of the population who are quirkless."
Later that night, rain is pouring outside as little Izuku sits at his computer with the lights out. His mother is with him as usual, but the house is lacking the usual happy energy of the child. The news of his apparent quirklessness had hit both parent and child pretty hard as they struggled to cope with the news. Izuku more so than his mother. He was once again watching All Might's debut video, but he wasn't quite as into it as he usually was.
"See that, Mom? There's always a smile on his face, no matter how bad things get. Even when things seem impossible, he never gives up."
Izuku faced his mother with tears in his eyes and a sad smile on his face, obviously trying to be strong for his mother even though what he's learned is clearly tearing him apart on the inside.
"Do you think… I can be a hero, too?" he asked.
Inko just stares at her son as her own tears begin to fall. But unlike most times when she and her son would cry hard enough to literally create a waterfall outside their apartment's porch(Hey, give them a break! That's just a genetic trait for Midoriyas, it seems!), Inko was crying thin and steady streams of tears from her eyes as she felt her heart break for her only son. In her mind it was somehow her own fault that her son ended up quirkless, and all she wanted to do was make things better for him. But she didn't know how.
"I'm sorry, Izuku. I wish things were different." she sobbed as she fell to her knees and held her son close.
And things were only going to get a lot worse for the green haired, freckled child before they got better.
Much, much worse.
***Three Years Later…***
It's been a long and painful three years for little Izuku. Once his quirkless status got out all of the kids began to treat him like he was lower than the worms in the dirt, and the teachers didn't care. They did absolutely nothing to stop the bullying that started up. The only one who seemed to still be on Izuku's side, for the most part, was Katsuki Bakugo. His closest friend who manifested an explosion quirk.
Basically, his quirk is a combination of his parents' quirks that causes him to sweat nitroglycerin from his hands, which he can then detonate at will to create powerful explosions.
Because he had such an awesome, powerful quirk as that everyone was praising him and saying that he'd become the greatest hero since All Might. Teachers, students, some random guy off the street, just about everyone who witnessed Bakugo's quirk in action.
But because of all of this praise, Bakugo's ego was growing too large and he was becoming swelled with arrogance and pride. Not to mention his already hair-trigger temper got even worse than it already was. Izuku saw with his very eyes that the boy who was once his friend was turning into nothing more than a bully who cared only for himself. He was no hero like he preached about wishing to become, he was nothing more than a villain in the making! And nobody did anything to stop this behavior of his! Not the teachers, not the people around him, not even his parents! Although Izuku is pretty sure that Bakugo's mother, Mitsuki, has tried to curb her son's behavior in her own way.
Which normally involved yelling, hitting Bakugo over the head, and a whole lot of cursing.
Izuku wouldn't be surprised if his former friend picked up the woman's cursing habit in the near future.
And Izuku being quirkless has also had a negative effect on his own family life. Despite how he was diagnosed as quirkless, Izuku's mother never stopped loving him and did her very best to raise her son on her own. But it was a very difficult thing to do since Izuku's father, Hisashi Midoriya, left them as soon as news about Izuku's quirklessness reached him. He had told Izuku that he was going to be in America managing his company, but Izuku knew the truth right away due to the look in his eyes. The same look as everyone else who seemed to immediately resent Izuku because of his lack of a quirk. So Inko could no longer be a simple stay at home mom like she once was and had to retake her old job full-time as a lawyer at a law firm.
Not even Izuku's paternal or maternal grandparents wanted anything to do with him due to his lack of a quirk.
Inko had also begun to stress eat a lot due to the pressures of being a single mother and raising a quirkless child on her own. As a result, she's put on a lot of weight, and all of her friends besides Mitsuki have left her because of, you guessed it, Izuku being quirkless. Some of them even suggested to Inko that she should smother him with a pillow of drop him off at an orphanage and try for another kid that will have a quirk.
They ended up losing several teeth for those remarks and getting a bunch of bruises and broken bones.
Hell hath no fury like a mother bear protecting her cub.
Still, this made Izuku feel more and more guilty seeing his mother so stressed out and lonely because of him. Every night he lay awake in his bed staring at the various All Might posters and hero merchandise that adorns his room. For hours he'd just remain awake and wonder if a quirkless person can become a pro hero. Izuku is a lot smarter than most other kids his age and knows that it's not just a quirk that makes a pro hero. If that were the case then everybody and their grandma would be heroes all over the world. No, what really makes a hero is the person USING the quirk.
People like All Might who use their powers because they genuinely want to help people, and aren't interested in being rewarded or becoming the number one ranked hero. Now heroes such as Endeavor, who only cares about showing off his power no matter who gets caught in the crossfire and trying to win a one-sided rivalry with All Might… he's one of the many pro heroes that Izuku can safely say isn't much of a real hero at all.
Everyone around Izuku has told him that someone without a quirk can't become a pro hero. That it's just impossible. But Izuku doesn't let them drag him down, for he intends to prove them wrong by becoming a hero without a quirk and proving to everyone that quirkless does not mean useless.
But for now, he's just trying to focus on getting through one day at a time.
It had been another tiresome day at school for him as Izuku was walking home with many new bruises and blood stains on him from his more recent beating. Ever since he became quirkless, bullies have been more of an issue for him. Especially since, recently, his own former friend Bakugo has become his biggest and most ruthless bully. Even using Izuku as target practice for his explosion quirk. And today was his most brutal beating yet.
Underneath his shirt, Izuku had bandaged himself up in order to try and stem the bleeding of a set of lacerations from one kid who had a quirk that gave him retractable bone claws from his knuckles, but in turn made him far more feral and easily angered. Kind of like a wolverine or a honey badger. The crazy beast of a boy had gone a lot farther than normal in his bullying of Izuku and had sliced him up like tenderloin using his claws just BARELY missing his vital organs. Another one had a quirk that turned his fists into solid metal which he used to beat Izuku black and blue. All while breaking multiple bones. Finally, Katsuki had given him multiple third degree burns with point blank explosions. The skin from the impact points was black and cracked, and was starting to peel.
Izuku wanted to cry, but he held in his sobs and most of his tears. Crying never made the bullies stop, and just made him seem weaker. All he could do was try to ignore the pain and maybe get to a hospital. Not that they'd ever really give him proper medical help. Even the doctors and nurses at hospitals seemed to treat quirkless people like the plague.
The poor boy groaned as he fell to his knees before totally falling to the ground. He was lucky his face didn't hit the ground or he likely would have suffered a broken nose from hitting the concrete. Still, as Izuku faded in and out of consciousness, he didn't hold on to any hope of making it our of this one alive. His only regret was that he'd be leaving his mother all alone with his departure to the afterlife.
But as he finally succumbed to exhaustion from his injuries, several vehicles drove into the area. Among them was a customized muscle car of unknown make, a large armored car, a motorcycle, and a Ford Kenworth K-100 Tractor. The motorcycle was mainly blue with a few pink accents, the muscle car was yellow with black stripes sort of like a bee, the armored car was green, and the tractor was red and blue. But the one thing they all had in common was the strange insignia located on certain parts of their bodies. An insignia that looked sort of like a face.
And they were closing in on Izuku's location.
"It seems a little strange that no one's out and about at this time of day. Just saying." said a deep voice that sounded like a man coming from the green car. "Usually there'd at least be some kids walking home from school or more people on the road. But now there's no one here."
"Must've been another villain attack somewhere drawing all of the civilians towards it. Humans can't seem to stay out of the way whenever hero business is going on. Personally, I don't see the appeal of those quirks as the humans called them." said the motorcycle's rider showing clear proof that it was a woman.
But that's when a beeping sound was heard.
"Hold on a sec. We've got a human life reading up ahead. It's weak and fading fast!" she said.
"Then we must investigate immediately." said the truck's 'driver'.
The four vehicles soon pulled up to the sidewalk where Izuku lay bleeding out. The 'drivers' all gasped in horror at the state of the child before they disappeared and the four vehicles transformed into robots with traits from their vehicle forms.
...Wait, what?
It's true, the four vehicles had just transformed themselves from cars and a motorcycle into giant, humanoid robots with glowing blue eyes. In her robotic mode, the motorcycle resembles an earth woman with blue armor like on her motorcycle form. She has a pair of small wings and a tire in her back. She has a built-in skirt, and her midriff is dark gray like the metal she's obviously made from. She has two golden colored ridges along her face and hands. She has blue plated bit of armor around her protruded chest. She has a small pink sliver on her head crest, which is there at most times. Her face is a light silver-gray.
The green truck had turned into a very large male robot with a rather large chin. He is also very wide with a strong looking build. He has a dark green and black paintjob to match his vehicle mode, and he has a belt with a bomb attached to it along with opening doors to his cockpit. He has a black bar going through the top of his head, and a metallic jaw.
The muscle car transformed into a male robot that was arguably one of the smallest of the group, being just a head taller than the female. His body is primarily yellow with a few black areas, and his helmet has a black stripe going down the middle. His eyes are also much larger than those of the others, and the lower half of his face is covered by some sort of faceplate or mask.
Finally, the truck had transformed into the largest member of the group. This particular robot has a gray face with a blue helmet and three antennas on each side, two blue, the others grey, heavily detailed and designed with multiple plates and layers of pieces on top of each other. He has two sphere shaped bases for his antennas, with dark blue coloring around it. He has a red chest with windows from his vehicle mode and a dark grey strip on both of his ribs. He has big shoulders that overlaps his arms. Two wheels are at the back held by his smokestacks. Four wheels are at the back of his legs.
"By the matrix, it's a human sparkling!" gasped the female robot.
"What in the pit happened to the poor kid?!" the green robot asked.
Fortunately, despite the grim situation, the red and blue robot remained calm in this clear emergency situation. He knelt down and without causing further damage pressed the tip of one of his fingers to Izuku's wrist. He mentally sighed in relief upon what he found.
"He is alive, but he is fading. We must get him back to base for medical attention as quickly as possible." he said as he turned to his crew and addressed the green and yellow robots. "Bulkhead and Bumblebee, keep watch for humans that may come towards our location. Arcee, gather up the child. I will comm our allies for a Ground Bridge."
The three robots, now known as Bulkhead, Bumblebee, and Arcee, nodded and immediately got to their tasks. Arcee tried not to jostle the poor child as she gathered him into her hands, lest she make his injuries worse or give him new ones. She couldn't help but notice just how tiny and frail he looked compared to a Cybertronian sparkling, or really most kids his age in general. The poor boy looked as though he'd been put through the wringer and almost died. Which really isn't too far from the truth.
The familiar hum of a Ground Bridge portal opening snapped Arcee out of her thoughts as she and the others quickly stepped through leaving no evidence behind to the boy having been there. Merely a small blood stain from where Izuku's lacerations had opened up from falling onto the ground. And as the portal closed behind them, many people began to feel like there was great change on the horizon. Yet whether those changes would be good or bad remained to be seen.
***At An Unknown Medical Facility…***
The Autobots and Decepticons waited with great anxiety in the air as the three best medical specialists walked into their base through the Space Bridge Portal. Among them was an elderly male robot with white and red armor resembling an ambulance, a shiny red male who resembled an expensive sports car, and a rather imposing purple male who had a cannon for an arm and a single red optic for a face. These three are known as Ratchet, Knockout, and Shockwave respectively.
As the Space Bridge closed behind them, Ratchet cut right to the chase.
"Where's the patient?"
A few minutes later, the two doctors and one scientist of the two factions were running diagnostic scans on the young human child. Izuku could only groan in pain as he remained unconscious throughout the whole procedure. When the results came in, nobody liked what they were seeing on the monitor screen at all.
"The boy is suffering from a multitude of internal injuries. All of them quite severe." Ratchet gravely reported.
"So, anybody want to explain what a sparkling is doing unsupervised and walking around with injuries like those?" Arcee asked.
"Those injuries didn't look like they were caused by enemy forces." Bulkhead said.
Bumblebee looked down at the sleeping child, his features set in a frown as Shockwave examined him and did what he could to patch up his external injuries. More specifically he was attempting to stitch up those gashes in his side which just BARELY missed anything that would be considered vital.
"Scans of the sparkling's blood indicate that he has no quirk. Naturally this draws only one possible conclusion. His lack of a quirk has made him a pariah in a society where quirks mean everything to the populace." Shockwave reported, not noticing a drop of CNA falling into Izuku's open wound until it was too late.
"So it's a case of descrimination. As if we didn't have to deal with that enough when we first got here." snarked Arcee.
She hated how almost the entire populace seems to put quirks on a pedestal and treats those who don't have quirks as though they're lower than garbage. And to do so to one so young… it almost makes Arcee want to go against her leader's teachings and just eradicate the human race. Honestly, she feels that they're lucky Agent Fowler, the Autobots and Decepticons' liaison here on Earth, isn't some quirkist snob who believes in quirks being all that matter. And he's a human with a quirk that made him perfect for the military. His quirk was what he called Scope Vision. It allowed him to make out far off and fast moving objects with ease which made him a perfect addition to the Army Rangers before he retired.
The only downside to his quirk is that it causes him severe dry eye from prolonged use.
"Unfortunately, humanity is not without its flaws. But we must not allow our personal feelings to get in the way of our mission to stop these renegades and restore peace to our race. We must work with the humans in order to drive back and defeat Harbinger and his band of rogues." said the red and blue mech as he walked in.
Arcee scoffed and said "That's easier said than done, Optimus."
The mech, Optimus, said nothing as he knew that Arcee couldn't tolerate the abuse of sparklings. So learning that this one was harmed so badly just because he doesn't have a quirk was sure to have set her off. Not that he blamed her. Had this occurred on Cybertron, the abusers would have been imprisoned on the spot and the Sparkling would have been placed in the care of a more loving family.
"Optimus, I may have a way to heal the child while giving him the power to defend himself against any would-be aggressors." Shockwave informed.
Walking to the console, he punched in a few keys and brought up a file for his Project PREDACON. With the file open, it revealed something that puzzled the other Cybertronians.
"Cyber Nucleic Acid?" Knockout asked.
"The building blocks of all Cybertronian life. Predaking donated a sample of his own CNA for the purpose of research, and as I was stitching the child's wounds shut a drop ended up falling into his bloodstream. It has produced some rather, unusual results." Shockwave informed as he gestured to the sleeping child.
The Autobots and Decepticon looked and were shocked as a form of Cybermatter began to grow over Izuku's wound. It wasn't quite stable, but it was certainly a very promising lead.
"By infusing the child with Predacon CNA, we just might be able to save his life and grant him a means of defending himself from future attackers." Shockwave explained.
Optimus looked down in thought. Doing such a thing to a child, especially without their consent, went against everything he stood for as a Prime and an Autobot. But if they did nothing, the boy would more than likely die or be crippled for life at the least. And it would do nothing to drive away those who sought to do harm to the boy. It would seem that he was without any other options.
He just hoped to Primus that he would not come to regret this choice.
***Later…***
Ratchet was in the laboratory with Shockwave and Knockout preparing for the procedure to infuse Izuku with the Predacon CNA necessary to save his life. But even though it was Predaking's CNA there'd be no telling just what kind of Predacon the boy would become. If he survived, that is.
The Autobot medic quickly banished such thoughts from his processor. He wasn't about to begin doubting himself in this child's time of need. He'd save this child's life whether those with quirks wanted him to or not!
"Fetch me the Quantum Cybermeasure." Ratchet said to Knockout, only for the Decepticon to make a noise of displeasure.
"Do I look like hired help, old man?" Knockout rudely asked.
Only for Shockwave, Megatron's Second-In-Command in charge of all scientific endeavors, to walk up to him and say "Knockout, attend to the needs of our esteemed guest."
"As you command." Knockout groaned in resignation.
The shiny red Decepticon went to get the requested tool for Ratchet as the Autobot finished transferring the needed CNA into the incubation pod where little Izuku floated almost lifelessly. In fact, he would be considered truly dead if it weren't for the sound of a steady set of beeps coming from the heart monitor hooked up to the pod. Oxygen was being pumped into the liquid which filled the pod allowing Izuku to breathe without the need of a mask or a cumbersome breathing tube, while at the same time cycling out the carbon-dioxide which the lad exhaled with each shaky, pain-filled breath.
As Ratchet finished adding the CNA into the machine which would, in theory, save the boy's life by binding the CNA to his own human DNA, Shockwave carefully placed the small chip of Cybermatter onto the desk. Cybermatter which had fallen off of Izuku's body shortly after it formed, much to Ratchet's shock and surprise as he used a microscope built into his optic to examine it.
"So we know this Cybermatter to be produced by an atypical molecular displacement reaction?" Ratchet asked, though it sounded like a statement.
"Extensive empirical evidence indicates the wide gene pool of human DNA filling in the gaps of the fossilized Predacon CNA to be the cause." Shockwave explained.
"Double blind analysis?" Ratchet inquired.
"Naturally. The results only confirmed my original hypothesis. Once the erroneous variable has been corrected for, the human DNA and living tissue of the child's organic body will bind properly with Cyber Nucleic Acid." Shockwave replied.
"And cause his body to produce a stable form of cybermatter to repair his body and save his life. Remarkable!" Ratchet said in awe.
"Yes, quite an act of providence." agreed Shockwave.
"And to think he wouldn't be in this situation if the humans of this planet weren't so bigoted due to their pro heroes and their quirks." snarked Knockout. "Poor kid's no older than a sparkling and already he's had an untimely visit to death's domain."
Neither Cybertronian scientist said a word in response, for they could see the truth in Knockout's words. The poor boy has no quirk, and because of that a vast majority of the population see him as nothing more than a blight on their precious world of quirks and superheroes. They wouldn't be surprised if the boy's mother used her own quirk on the capillaries in the brains of those bunch of bastards who formed the mob that attacked little Izuku. But neither Ratchet nor Shockwave were about to let their negative feelings about Earth's society prevent them from saving little Izuku's life.
"There is little time and much to do to save the boy's life, Doctor. Shall we get back to work?" suggested Shockwave in an effort to get back on track.
"Certainly." agreed Ratchet.
***Who Will Take Up The Challenge?***
