These damn plot bunnies are a curse! A CURSE, I TELL YA! They sneak up on you as your trying to focus on a single story, bugging you as they nip at the back of your mind preventing you from getting any work done on what you want to work on until you're inevitably forced to write the story that the plot bunny is telling you to write! Now I've been doing a lot of Bakugan artwork recently and finally got this idea stuck in my head. It's only the prologue for now, but I hope you like the concept.
*I don't own My Hero Academia or Bakugan Battle Brawlers.*
Prologue
A beaten and bruised Izuku Midoriya looked to the sky as these strange cards started fluttering down all over the city where he lived. Possibly even the whole world.
"The world as I knew it changed one day when all these random cards started raining down everywhere."
Reaching out with both hands, he caught one of the cards which stopped glowing and revealed intricate markings along with six symbols which he could tell represented six different elemental powers. Fire, Light, Water, Darkness, Earth, and Wind,
"At first they seemed harmless enough, so myself and a bunch of us kids invented this cool new game."
Two small spheres the size of large shooter marbles appeared out of two of the cards and landed on another. One of the spheres was brown with orange markings, the other was a pale greyish white with yellow markings. They both popped open in different ways and in a large explosion of light manifested as a falcon creature and a humanoid with huge, clawed hands ready to do battle. And it wasn't just them.
All over the province where Izuku lived, creatures of similar power and great elemental ability appeared as these tiny toy marbles before landing on cards and assuming their true forms. Some looked like snakes, others like scorpions, manticores, sphinxes, elephants, the list goes on.
"But we soon learned that those cards weren't so harmless after all. They were packed with incredible power from another world! It didn't matter if you had a strong quirk, a weak quirk, a quirk more suited to rescue, stealth or espionage, or even if you had no quirk at all! None of us kids discriminated when it came to this game."
We soon see Izuku Midoriya himself, a fourteen year old boy in his last year of middle school. He had fluffy dark green hair with some back areas in it, large green eyes, a slightly rounded face, and four freckles that form diamond shapes on each cheek. The lad is also a little on the short side for his age and relatively thin while not being the unhealthy kind of thin, and he doesn't have a lot of muscle on him since he's neither athletic nor does he really have a reason to train physically since he's quirkless. He's currently wearing simple casual attire which consists of a purple t-shirt, black cargo shorts, and a pair of red sneakers.
"My name is Izuku Midoriya, and together with my friends, Kyouka…"
Kyouka Jiro is a young girl who is short for her age, just like Izuku, standing at "5'1 as opposed to his "5'5 ¼ . She has short purple hair and eyes, pale skin, and a petite body type as opposed to most of the other girls in her age group. Her quirk is Earphone Jack, which causes her to have a pair of jack plugs growing from her earlobes, which she can plug into any surface or speaker and use the sound of her own heartbeat as a weapon. The downside being she has super advanced and highly sensitive hearing. In the picture, she's wearing a simple white shirt with a black leather biker jacket over it, a pair of skinny jeans, and a pair of sneaker.
"Eijiro…"
Eijiro is a muscular young man of average height and a rather impressive physique for his young age. He has red eyes that are pointed slightly inwards and a small scar just above his right eye. He also has small eyebrows and pointed teeth. His hair is somewhat long, dyed a bright red, and spiked away from his head at all angles with gel, two more pronounced tufts spiked on either side of his forehead like little horns. This lofty style takes a full three minutes to set.
"Ochako…"
Ochaco is a short girl of a slender yet curvaceous figure. She is fair-skinned with a perpetual blush on her cheeks. Her eyes are large and round, their irises a warm auburn brown, with rather thick upper eyelashes, two longer and more prominent ones protruding outwards on either side and fewer but more individually pronounced lower eyelashes.
Shoulder-length and about the same color as her eyes, her hair is bobbed and curved inwards at the ends, two longer clumps taking the same shape on either side of her face, and short bangs that reach roughly a quarter of the way down her forehead. On the top inner segment of each of her fingers, she has a small, pinkish pad that's slightly darker than the rest of her skin, somewhat resembling the toe of a cat or a dog's paw, which she uses when activating and deactivating her Quirk.
"Not to mention mister By the Book himself, Tenya Iida…"
Tenya is a relatively tall and muscular young man with a wide frame. He has short dark blue hair, flattened neatly down and parted on the right side of his head, a small patch completely shaved near the base of his head, and rather square eyes which match the notably pointed shape of his jaw. He usually wears a serious expression, and his eyebrows seem to be permanently pointed inwards, quite thin and long in length, the far ends sharply hooked inwards, and he wears glasses with rectangular lenses. Because of his Quirk, he possesses calves that are incredibly thick, and shaped like automobile engines, with three silver exhaust pipes protruding from each one.
"And Momo…"
Momo is a tall teenage girl with a rather mature physique. Her Quirk's need for fat cells require her to keep a fuller figure than her classmates. She has long black hair that is normally tied into a spiky ponytail with a large strand hanging on the right side of her face. Her eyes are thin and sharp, dark in color and paired with short eyebrows set in a determined expression.
"We are… The Bakugan Mythic Force!"
A Bakugan battle is shown as Izuku and his opponent flip their cards around and we catch a brief glimpse of a Bakugan resembling a dragon swatting its opponent away using its tail.
"Bakugan. One goal, two worlds."
***To Be Continued…***
Eeyup! Plot bunnies. Hate, hate, hate them. But I hope you at least like the premise for this story. Though it will be awhile before it's updated again. Please don't forget to review and tell me what you think of this story idea. Thanks for reading and I'll see you next time!
Poll Question: I'm going to write a My Hero Academia story starring my own OC who is Izuku and Momo's son. Which would you prefer this story to be?
