Chapter Twenty-one

Plans

3 months later

Syaoran walked through the halls of the university with his folder under his arm.

"Happy summer, professor!" a girl shouted, waving at him.

He waved back and continued walking towards the exit. A green-eyed girl was waiting for him at the door.

Just the sight of her made his heart rate accelerate. She came up to him and hugged him, standing on her tiptoes so that her face was level with his.

"How did your last exam go?" she asked, sliding her hands up and down his neck.

"We'll see when I grade them... And yours?" he replied, raising an eyebrow.

"It went well. I guess you could say I've graduated," Sakura replied with a smile.

"You'll finally stop being a student and I'll stop feeling like a perverted teacher," Syaoran mumbled.

She giggled and leaned closer until their lips met, but they parted when they heard a couple of whistles in their direction.

"Let's go home. I have to tell you what I have planned for this summer."

"Do you already have plans?" he asked in a mocking voice.

"Of course," Sakura replied, raising both eyebrows suggestively.

She grabbed Syaoran's hand and they walked out to the car park together.

After eating, the four of them ran to Sakura's secret lake.

Syaoran had been very insistent and had finally convinced her to show her two best friends the place.

In their human form they ran slower than when they were wolves, so it took them a little over fifteen minutes to get there. As they entered the clearing, Tomoyo gasped, covering her mouth with both hands.

"This is so beautiful!" she said, approaching the edge of the lake.

"I can't believe you've kept this place from us all these years," Eriol commented, clicking his tongue.

Sakura shrugged.

"I didn't want to share it with anyone."

"You did share it with Syaoran, though," Tomoyo replied, pursing her lips and giving her a dark look.

"That doesn't count. I share everything with him," she said, jumping up to hang onto Syaoran's back.

He smiled, holding her legs with his arms.

"The only thing I ask if you're going to come here is that you have to make sure we're not around," Sakura asked, looking at her two friends.

"Sure, I'd hate to come and find you two doing naughty things," Eriol murmured, grimacing.

The four of them laughed.

Sakura let go of Syaoran's shoulders, returning to the ground, and took a few steps towards the lake, sitting down next to Tomoyo. The two dipped their feet in the water, enjoying how cold it was.

"These six weeks you'll be the Alpha of the pack, Tomoyo."

She opened her eyes wide in surprise.

"What? Why?"

"Syaoran and I are going away, and we won't be back until October, right before he has to go back to work."

"And where are you two going?" Tomoyo asked in a curious voice.

Sakura grinned.

"Wherever our paws take us."

They both let out a giggle as they watched the two boys, who were chatting not far from there.

"You know, Sakura... I think that in the next heat I'm going to give a surprise to Eriol."

Sakura gaped at her.

"Do you already want to be a mother?" she asked in an incredulous voice.

"I think so. Now that we have finished the degree, I don't think it's such a bad idea... and Eriol has been dying for it for years" Tomoyo replied with a smile.

"I'm going to be an aunt," she muttered, making her friend laugh.

"Your heat will be when you are travelling with Syaoran," Tomoyo whispered, trying not to let the two boys hear her.

"Yeah. We'll destroy whatever forest we're passing through that week."

They both burst out laughing.

"Poor Syaoran," Tomoyo said through tears of laughter.

"Since he's a wolf, he doesn't have such a hard time with my heat. Now he enjoys it as much or more than I do."

"Poor forest, then," Tomoyo replied, holding back her laughter.

Eriol ran towards them, grabbed Tomoyo in his arms and threw her into the middle of the lake. Syaoran did the same with Sakura. They both stuck their heads out of the water, pretending to be angry.

"Our revenge will be terrible!" Tomoyo shouted, raising her fist.

The two boys looked at each other, unable to stop laughing, and dove headfirst into the lake.

"You'll have to watch your back from now on, wizard," Sakura murmured as Syaoran swam up to her.

"It's been a long time since your threats scared me, wolf," he replied with a smirk.

She gave him an evil grin and lunged for him, trying to pull him under the water. Tomoyo and Eriol joined the fight with laughter.

"Do you have everything? Including your passport?"

Syaoran nodded.

"Where are we going?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Wherever we want," Sakura replied with a smile.

He closed the huge backpack that held all of his things, which was adapted to be carried as a wolf. She lifted hers and put it right next to his.

"I thought we could first go to the north of Japan, you'll love it. Then we'll swim to Hokkaido island, stay there for a few days... and after that we'll get on a plane and go somewhere."

Syaoran snorted.

"Swim to the island? You're crazy, that's a long way."

"So what? Don't you think you can do it?"

"Of course I can, but anyone who sees us will think we just escaped from an asylum."

"And what does that matter?" she said, laughing softly.

He joined in her laughter.

"You're right."

Sakura took a few steps towards him and placed one hand on his chest, while she caressed his lower lip with her index finger.

"What are you up to, my lady?" he asked, lifting his eyebrows.

"My heat starts today. You know that, don't you?"

His body suddenly tensed.

"I thought you smelled a little different today."

Sakura pushed him hard, sending him crashing into the wall. They both gasped as they felt the blow. She hung on his neck, moving closer to his ear.

"I think we'll have to postpone the trip until tomorrow, because I'm not letting you leave this place today," she whispered in his ear.

All of his skin tingled.

"If we stay here, you know we'll wreck the house," he replied, snaking his arms around her and lifting her up a little.

She wrapped her legs around his waist.

"Then let's go far away... and fast."

Syaoran gave her a crooked smile, took a few steps over to where their backpacks were and let her go. They both put them on and exchanged a glance. She was biting her lower lip and her eyes were growing darker.

"Run," she growled just before opening the door.

The two of them took off running at full speed towards the forest. Normally it took them almost twenty minutes to reach the secret lake in their human form, but that day it only took them twelve.

Sakura was the first to arrive. She dropped her backpack under a small tree and rested her hands on the trunk, digging her nails into it and tearing off some of the bark. Syaoran slowly approached her, setting the backpack down next to hers.

"Has it started already?"

She raised her head, staring at him with her green eyes. They were shining.

"Okay, I see it has," Syaoran added, swallowing.

Sakura gave him a wicked grin and jumped on him, sending them both tumbling to the grass.

"You're mine," she snarled, clawing at his shirt.

Syaoran kissed her, rolling her over until he was on top of her. He slipped his hands under her blouse, stroking her skin as he kissed her throat and brushed her mark with the tip of his tongue.

Sakura squirmed desperately, trying to twist herself back into control. He moved up to her lips again, leaving a trail of kisses over her bra, and grabbed her arms to stop her from moving.

"Sakura, let me take care of you today."

"No."

"Come on, tomorrow I'll let you do anything you want to me."

"I said no," Sakura replied, biting his lip hard.

Syaoran laughed.

"You can control yourself a little, heat or no heat. Come on, do it for me."

She rolled her eyes and snorted, but stopped moving.

"I'll try, but tomorrow you're all mine."

"I'm always yours," Syaoran whispered.

He sat down on the grass and placed Sakura on top of his legs, removing her blouse as he filled her body with kisses.

She moaned and, leaving one leg on either side of Syaoran, wrapped her arms around him, kissing him deeply and bringing their tongues together.

They both gasped as they kissed passionately. Syaoran slowly traced the skin of her thighs with his fingertips and when he reached the buttons of her skirt, he began to unbutton it.

When he finished, he took it off and tossed it aside, realising that she had already unbuttoned his trousers and her hands were shaking.

"What's wrong with you?" he asked, biting her shoulder and moving down her body as he unclasped her bra.

"I'm having trouble controlling myself, I can't hold on much longer," she murmured, sighing.

He laughed again and stood up, pulling Sakura up with him.

"You're so shaky, you remind me of when I was human."

Sakura laughed too. He dropped his trousers to the ground, but first he pulled something square and silver from one of his pockets.

"You still don't want cubs, do you?" he asked, raising both eyebrows.

"Not yet, but Tomoyo's going to have one now."

"What?"

"I don't want to talk about it now," she growled, curling around Syaoran anxiously.

He kept kissing her, brushing her lips with his tongue as he shed what little clothing they had left on.

"We're really hot, I think we need to cool off," Syaoran murmured between her lips.

She let out a giggle and he walked towards the lake with her in his arms, stepping into it. Before the water covered them, Sakura moved and pushed Syaoran down onto the small rocks inside the lake, sitting on top of him.

"I can't take this anymore, I need you."

She hugged him tightly, digging her nails into his back and biting his neck too hard, right where Syaoran had the mark. His amber eyes began to glow and he held her waist, pulling her closer to him.

They both gasped as they felt their bodies join at last.

Syaoran kissed her furiously, devouring her lips as one of his hands trailed down her side until he reached her core. She moaned again and started to move faster, grabbing some rocks with her hands and grinding them into dust in an attempt to control herself.

They both smelled blood. Sakura had dug her nails too deep into his back, but neither of them cared.

"Harder, Syaoran."

He grunted and lifted her up, swimming until the water was up to their necks. He sat her on a large rock at the edge of the lake, holding her down and pressing their bodies together.

She wrapped her legs around Syaoran and pulled him to her with her arms, needing to feel him closer. He broke the kiss and trailed kisses down her jaw until he reached her neck, where he bit her as he moved faster and faster.

Sakura's moans echoed throughout the clearing.

An hour later, the two of them were still in the lake, sitting side by side and much calmer.

"You know I love you, don't you?" Sakura murmured, stroking his face.

"I know, though I think if I were human you would have broken my back today."

She blushed.

"I didn't mean to... good thing you're not," she replied, chuckling.

She lowered her head to his back, where there was no longer a trace of the wounds she had given him when desire had clouded her mind, and left several kisses on his skin.

He lifted her up, placing her in his lap.

"Shall we begin the journey now?" he asked, looking into her eyes.

"Okay, but you know I'll attack you again in a few hours."

Syaoran gave her a crooked smile.

"I'll be waiting for it."

The two of them got out of the water and, after stuffing their clothes into their backpacks and putting them on, they transformed into wolves and ran into the woods.
