Jaden was on his computer going over the battlers as well as the Digiheroes who would be excellent to be on his team so far.
"Hmm, Of course, Keith, Dan, Marucho and Shun are capable enough." Jaden said to himself as he scrolled down the list "And Nobu, Tai, Matt, Marcus, Mikey as well as Christopher will also be a huge help as well." Jaden said before Hikari came into his office.
"Father, what are you doing this late at night?" Hikari asked.
"Just going over who will be going on the mission with me." Jaden replied. "Why are you still up? Shouldn't you be in bed?"
"I felt like being awake." Hikari said in a cheeky tone.
Jaden just stared at his daughter before getting back to work. "Does your mother know you're awake?" Jaden asked
Hikari just shook her head. "Dad, do you think I can be a great battler and duelist like you and Mama?"
Jaden just stared at Hikari before messing up her hair. "Sure, my dear angel." Jaden smiled
Hikari beamed at him before she hugged him. "Thanks Daddy."
Jaden smiled before he hugged her back. His kids were among one of the greatest things that ever happened to him, he could always count on them to brighten up his day especially Hikari. "Now get back to bed." Jaden smirked. "Or I'll take away your allowance as well as your teddy bear."
"No…" Hikari squeaked before running back to her room.
Jaden just laughed as Hikari actually believed his bluff. "She's too innocent and Naive for her own good." Jaden said before getting back to work. "Right now there are ten members including me but half of the team focus on power and adaptability." Jaden said to himself. "Meaning some of us won't be able to help with the investigation." Jaden said as he groaned.
Mentally, Jaden didn't want to include any of his lovers in this mission despite their skills in battle but recently Chan has been working with Kikyo research as well as scientific as well as mystical just like Alice has, and Fabia already had her education before he met her, Elise, Shade, and Rui all had their education that could help back on Vestal as well as on Earth well under Kikyo's tutorage and Dark Alice has Alice's memories so she's already prepared. Not only that, the original Valice as well as Stella had just come back to life and Jaden doesn't want to endanger them again despite the great help they'll be on the team. So in short Jaden was in quite a conundrum.
"What a hassle that I'm in." Jaden said to himself as he got off the computer. Before returning to his and Alice's bedroom for the night.
When he entered the room he saw Alice fast asleep, he smirked as he tipped toed to the bed before getting under the covers trying hard not to wake his wife up, as he got comfortable, he remembered what Alice said earlier.
'He reminds you of yourself.' Alice told him.
Jaden just sighed before falling into a deep sleep, hopefully, tomorrow they'll figure something out.
The next day both teams including the rest of Data Squad, Fusion Fighters, Tamers, Legendary Warriors, and Digidestined had arrived for this meeting.
At the moment Kisara, along with Mika and DATS Megumi was looking over the shard Valice had given Jaden the previous night.
"How on earth or NewDigiCray did Xeno get his hands on this?" Thomas questioned, at times he and Xeno would be at odds with each other which was mostly the boy's fault because of his jerkiness.
"How should I know?" Stella said, still pissed off that she didn't kill him when she had the chance.
"He did vanish just when the convergence happened, and we haven't heard anything from him since then." Izzy said.
"Who cares, besides the next time I see him, I'm going to kill the bastard." Stella smiled as she gave off a surge of energy Scaring most of the people in the room.
"I suggest, you don't do that because his family wouldn't like that, and he might have information for us since he's been a ghost for about a month and a half." Nobu said.
"Give It up, you're basically talking to one of the most Brutal and violent Supreme Queens there is." Dumjid said.
"I don't care, as long as she's here and on this team she needs to keep control of herself." Nobu said firmly.
Stella once again flared up "What did you say?" Stella said as she got up before Valice held her back.
"Stella back down now." Valice ordered, which Stella reluctantly did as she was told. "We aren't supposed to be alive, our very presence goes against the laws of nature itself."
"Whatever." Stella said as she got up and left the room.
"Is she really your past life?" Angie asked Fabia.
"She is." Fabia said.
"Tell me what do you know about Stella and what are your first thoughts of her?" Valice asked.
"She has a bad temper that reminds me of a certain asshole I know." Yolei said.
"Well that's true she does have a quick and violent temper but she's also a caring and the most friendly of the Supreme Queens as well, she also acted as a tutor to the youngest Diana." Valice explained.
"Don't forget the fact that she used to hit Diana when she did the slightest thing wrong." Mana added.
"Yes that as well." Valice groaned remembering that bit. "But she still acts as a protective older sibling to Diana."
"Sounds abusive more or less. I mean I wouldn't hit Kari if she did something wrong." Tai said not liking what he was hearing.
"Everyone has their own way of tutoring, my father our world's Xeno trained me the same way Grandfather trained him, I know you all don't like it, but that's how it was long ago." Xion said.
"Well, I better get going." Valice said as she got up. "Need to make sure that Stella doesn't kill someone considering her life before me and Haou first met her."
"I feel bad for them, Haou was taken away from them so long ago, and now they are unable to rest because of this." TK said.
"You do know that I'm him, reborn right?" Jaden asked
"I know, but what I meant was they were just plucked from the afterlife into a world they barely know without their friends or family in it." TK said. "I mean what would you feel like if you were in their shoes?"
Kikyo noticed the room was starting to get tense so she decided to break it. "So Kisara, have you, Megumi and Mika found something on that shard?"
"Yes, it's made from an unknown metal along with energy." Kisara explained.
"Yes, and the energy is off the charts." Mika added.
Jaden just laid his face on his hand. "Prime Apocalypse right?" Jaden asked.
"Yes, as well as 6 other energies we know nothing of." DM Megumi said.
"6 unknown energies? That's strange? Have you analyzed where they originated?" Alice asked.
"We have, it seems these energies match the wavelength of the Merger, let me ask you all you heard of the big bang theory?" Kisara asked.
"How's that important?" Dumjid asked.
"Because it's said that the universe was once an empty void at one time, but a huge explosion took place which created everything in the universe, so what if Prime Apocalypse and whoever the unknown energies belong to were in a void and channeled their powers into whatever this shard was originally?" Kisara said, gesturing to the Shard in the scanner.
"The resulting explosion caused a universal shift which fused our two universes together." Kisara finished.
Everyone was shocked by this revelation. If what Kisara said was true then whatever took place in this void was the reason for the convergence.
"So who are the other 6? And I want to know if they willingly helped cause this or not?" Kikyo asked.
"That's the million dollar question now isn't it." Dumjid said as he got up. and headed to the door."I'm heading to New DigiCray and see if I can find any clues." Dumjid said as he left the room.
"Someone should go with him to investigate." Kikyo said.
"You know grandma, Dumjid could handle himself." Jaden said.
"Yes, but with the way Dragon kicked your asses yesterday, I can't be too cautious." Kikyo said to Jaden's frustration.
"Yeah sure, bring it up will ya." Jaden muttered quietly
"So have you chosen your team?" Samson asked Jaden.
"I'm still in the middle but here's the current members alright." Jaden said as he handed Samson the files.
Samson read through the files before nodding. "It seems you choose wisely, but why are they current members? Thinking of adding more?"
"Perhaps?" Jaden said.
"Ok, assemble your team, and add these members if you feel certain, your mission will begin in an hour that gives you and the others enough time to prepare." Samson said.
"Thank you sir." Jaden said as he saluted before he left the room.
"I have a bad feeling about this." Kikyo said in an uneasy tone.
"What is it Kikyo?" Samson asked.
"Dragon is Jaden which means he knows how Jaden works. He knows every strategy, tactic, and move Jaden will or ever has come up with. So Jay is basically going up against himself." Kikyo said before turning to Samson with a serious expression. "He's probably assembled a team similar to what Jaden had in mind."
Meanwhile on New DigiCray in the deepest parts of Nowhere
Dragon had just returned when he ran into the Demon Lord of Pride Lucemon who he despised because of his arrogance and immense pride, wondering why Prime Apocalypse would revive him in the first place.
"Well if it isn't Dragon, the mere copy of a lonely sad king?" Lucemon mocked.
"At least I was always successful in my missions, you on the other hand underestimated your foes and were defeated in the end by those, what did you call those Digiheroes." Dragon said as he paused for a moment. "That's right, mere insects that aren't worth your time." Dragon smirked much to Lucemon's anger.
"They only got lucky, soon I'll take revenge on Nobu along with his pet child of miracles." Lucemon proclaimed.
Dragon just smirked. "I'll believe that when I see that."
"Indeed." Prime Apocalypse said as he appeared.
Lucemon just glared, this being was the one who brought him back, however only he was forced to obey along with the other Demon Lords, it enraged them to their cores taking orders from an out of place deity. "What is it you want now Prime Apocalypse?"
"Watch your tone with me Lucemon, if it wasn't for me, you'll still be waiting to be revived normally." Prime Apocalypse reminded Lucemon in a stern tone.
Lucemon just scoffed. 'If only I had the power to end this annoying pest, no one orders a demon lord around.'
Unknown to Lucemon, Prime Apocalypse heard Lucemon's thoughts, before getting to the point about why he was here "Lucemon, you, Myotismon and Devimon will be heading off for a mission for me, can I trust you three to handle it?" Prime Apocalypse asked.
"Not like any of us have a choice." Lucemon uttered angrily. "And what is this 'mission'?"
Prime Apocalypse smirked. "A capture mission, on earth, find Jaden's wife Alice and if necessary his daughters as well and if you want to cause some destruction as well." he said.
Lucemon just smirked, to him this was a perfect chance to blow off some steam, along with getting his revenge on Nobu and Davis. "Very well, I'll prepare myself." he said before leaving.
As soon as Lucemon left, Dragon spoke up. "You know that Lucemon, along with Myotismon are planning to betray you right?" Dragon asked.
"Those fools are nothing more than pawns in my game, nothing they do can affect me.' Prime Apocalypse replied. "At the moment they are only useful for causing as much destruction as possible."
"Agreed my lord." Dragon said as he bowed.
Prime Apocalypse then headed back to check on the prisoner that he captured.
In a Prison Cell were both Xeno and Impmon who were held up by energy that Prime Apocalypse created.
"Why is that every Xeno in every dimension so stubborn?" Prime Apocalypse asked himself.
"Go fuck yourself!" Xeno growled. "When I get out of here you are going to be a stain on the heel of my boot!"
"Please, I killed your alternate self without much trouble, what can you do?" Prime Apocalypse asked
"Oh, unlike him I barely have restraints, I will get out of here and I will end your and your boyfriends' lives." Xeno growled as he glared at Prime Apocalypse
Prime Apocalypse then snapped his fingers, causing the energy to let both Xeno and Impmon go. "Well then give me your best shot boy." he growled
Xeno and Impmon got up and glared at Prime Apocalypse. "Ok, time to show you the power of a DigiDestined of darkness!" the crest of darkness began to glow as Impmon began to digivolve.
"Impmon warp Digivolve to… Beelzemon!" Beelzemon exclaimed
"Come at me." Prime Apocalypse said gave a 'bring it' gesture with his hand.
Xeno smirked as he placed his hands in his pockets. {Sure we will, Beelzemon, we have one shot at this, make it count.} he said through a mental link thanks to his crest.
{Right.} Beelzemon replied.
"Now!" Xeno said as he slammed his hand into the ground creating a wave of Darkness that blanketed the room.
"Double Impact!" Beezlemon shouted, Prime Apocalypse thought they meant to attack him, but he was wrong as Beezlemon's attack in the ceiling creating a big hole in it.
"Let's go!" Xeno exclaimed as he jumped into Beelzemon's hand before Beezlemon mode changed to Blast Mode and quickly flew through the hole in the ceiling.
"Hopefully that smokescreen will buy us time to get some distance." Xeno said he knew he probably wouldn't stand a chance at the moment so he decided a tactical retreat was in order.
However right behind Xeno and Beelzemon was Prime Apocalypse right on their tail. "You actually think that you could escape from me." He roared as he Launched a series of energy blasts that Beelzemon barely avoided before one hit his wing
"I'm hit!" Beelzemon shouted
"Some people can't take rejects very well, don't worry I got this." Xeno said before taking out his Digivice. "Please work."
Prime Apocalypse roared as Darkness caused Xeno's digivice to malfunction.
"Well this just isn't my day." Xeno said nonchalantly
Prime Apocalypse then divebombed both Beelzemon and Xeno grabbing them by the throats as he rammed them to the ground knocking them unconscious . "Well that was a nice exercise." he said as he returned them to the prison.
When Xeno woke up he was back in his prison cell suspended by energy that Prime Apocalypse created alongside Impmon
"Well you know, this is considered assault you know." Xeno said.
"I swear to Kami, I'll kill you but I still have use for you." Prime Apocalypse said
"Ohhh! Did I strike a nerve with that escape, because I outsmarted you? It must be really embarrassing that a human got the drop on you huh?" Xeno mocked.
Prime Apocalypse just stared at Xeno before casting a curse on Xeno. smirking again as the curse took place.
"What did you do?" Xeno growled as he felt weird.
"Xeno!" Impmon called out as he struggled against His restraints.
"A curse that bonds you to your partner who I've already Cursed before you attempted your escape." Prime Apocalypse explained
"What curse?!" Impmon exclaimed in rage.
"For you Impmon I cursed you to a slow death and for Xeno, he's now literally bonded to you which means that once you die from your curse so does Xeno." Prime Apocalypse smirked
"I'm not afraid of death, you ugly mother fucker! I already died once so I have nothing to fear." Xeno growled, not even afraid.
"Well then you could die." Prime Apocalypse said as he stabbed Xeno in the heart, killing him
"No!" Impmon yelled in fear. "You bastard!"
"Sayonara." Prime Apocalypse said as he left while Impmon cursed at him as he left.
"Xeno! You have to wake up! You can't die yet! Think about you mom sisters and Yolei please!" Impmon yelled. "You can't die until you beat Davis right!"
At the time Davis and Kari felt pain in their hearts as their crests glowed grey.
"Oh no! Nononono!" Davis yelled as he fell to the floor, gaining everyone's attention.
"What are you shouting about?" Keith asked.
"Xeno's! Dead!" Kari yelled at Keith shocking everyone
"Goddammit." Jaden growled as he heard from the outside the room before banging his fist
Yolei grabbed Davis by the jacket as she shook him. "You're lying! He can't be!"
"Let him go." Keith said, trying to calm down the tension
Yolei did before she began to cry in agony as Sora pulled her into a tight hug.
"Damn! What am I going to do with his mom and sisters? They've already gone through the first time when Xeno's father died!" Nobu yelled before kicking a table.
"Might as well tell them the truth, keeping it from them will just hurt them in the end." Keith suggested
"I promised Sango I will watch over him and this happens! But the truth won't help anything." Nobu said.
"Those bastards! They love the joy of hurting people so much I can't stand it!" Mana growled.
Valice passed by Jaden before entering the room again. "I've just sensed and heard from Jaden what happened, You all have my condolences." Valice said.
"Thanks Valice, but it won't help any of us right now." Tai said.
Davis growled. "I'm going with you guys on that mission!"
"I'm sorry but that's not up to you, it's up to Jaden and to be honest after hearing this news I don't think he's in the mood to talk about this." Kikyo said as she shook her head.
"Listen! I understand what he's going through; he lost a Xeno too! But he was my best friend and rival so I'm going whether he likes it or not!" Davis said.
Kikyo just slammed her hands on the table. "You don't understand anything about us, the only friends you've lost were mostly digimon." Kikyo shouted before she got up and left.
"It's true, we have lost more people and Kaiju than you guys have, some of them we had to Kill ourselves, maybe this is why we're so hardened in the face of death." Keith the Digiheroes
"Maybe… but that doesn't mean I accept it. We already lost Nobu once and we're not going to lose Xeno." Davis said before leaving with Veemon following close behind.
Keith just muttered to himself. "You have a great friend don't you Xeno." Keith muttered to himself before smiling, thinking of his relationship with Jaden.
"What do we do now? This is just fuck up." Kisara asked.
"You did say that the Bakugan that you were facing on New DigiCray were able to use abilities that they weren't normally able to do right?" Valice asked.
"Yes." Shun answered.
"I see, this is the effect of the Rite of Channeling." Valice said.
"Rite of Channeling?" Thomas asked.
"It's an ancient ritual that hybridizes the power in Kaiju and Bakugan and allows them to use the abilities and powers of other Bakugan and Kaiju." Valice explained.
"So you're saying they use this ritual to empower their bakugan and kaiju which is the reason why they are so powerful and can use abilities of other Kaiju and Bakugan they shouldn't be able to use?" Nobu questioned.
"That's right, it seems that the only way to combat them on even ground is to have our partners undergo the Rite of Channeling." Valice said
"That could even the playing field." Takuya said.
"Question: does this ritual also apply to humans?" Nobu asked.
"A ritual known as the Rite of Overlapping is known but it's secrets were only known to my family." Valice explained.
"One more question: is it possible to use this to revive the fallen?" Nobu asked.
"I'm sorry but I don't know, however there are probably artifacts that could help you." Valice said.
"Nobu, are you thinking of resurrecting Xeno from the dead? That is Taboo, no one has ever performed that method?" Keith said.
Nobu sighed. "That idiot was like a little brother to me, and like I said before his mother asked me to watch over him since Myiostmon killed his father. If I have to break the laws of nature to bring him back then I'm willing to do it no matter what."
"Very well, but you must have the body in order to try it, and you can guess it's in Nowhere." Valice added.
"Oh, we plan to find it." Tai said, placing his hand on Nobu's shoulder. "Xeno was like a little brother to me too, so I'm not coming back until we get his body."
Mana couldn't help but smile. 'These guys may have not faced as much hardship as us, but they do have one thing over us, they still have their hearts.'
Jaden then came into the room and was calmed down. "Alright everyone." Jaden said as he tossed files containing info on who's coming with Jaden to Nowhere. "This contains info on who's coming with me alright." Jaden said.
Everyone looked over and saw Jaden, Keith, Dan, Shun, Marucho, Tai, Matt, Nobu, Marcus, Mikey, and Christopher.
"I select you all because you each are the best at what you do, so get your things together we leave in 10." Jaden said before leaving.
"He knows." Valice spoke, gaining everyone's attention. "And he's upset that another Xeno has died because of Prime Apocalypse, you all must be careful."
"No need to tell us twice." Mikey said as he and the others left to get ready.
"I should go find Davis." Kari said as she left.
Jaden and his team were ready for their mission to Nowhere, a lot of them nervous given the magnitude of the mission itself.
"You all know the mission this is covert, merely investigation only engages if necessary," Kikyo said. "And don't let your emotions cloud your judgment, cause I understand a lot of you are still mourning over the loss of a comrade and I sympathize with you all but don't let his sacrifice go in vain and i bid you all good luck."
"Wait a moment." Valice said as both she and Stella appeared. "You're not going anywhere without us." Valice stated
"No, you two are staying here." Jaden said firmly.
"Look Jaden, we're not staying here on the sidelines. We are trained warriors and we are more useful on the frontlines." Stella countered.
"Kikyo?" Jaden asked
"It's grandma! Oh boy, I wish I could kill you." Kikyo growled. "And I think it would be a good idea for them to be there, because of their skills and war experience they would be more useful."
Jaden just groaned. "Very well, both of you could come with us." Jaden reluctantly said.
"Well let's get going." Stella smirked.
Kikyo then activated the portal in which the team stepped through. "Good luck team, and please come back safely, I don't want to see more loss."
Jaden and his team plus the two Supreme Queens made it to New DigiCray,
"It feels nice being back on Cray….sort of." Stella said
"To be accurate New DigiCray." Marucho corrected.
"Whatever, where are we going?" Stella asked.
"We are heading to Nowhere, to investigate as Kikyo said covet, we only fight if necessary," Jaden said.
"Well if Cray has fused with the Digital World as well as New Vestroia, then my castle should be around here, we could use that as our base." Valice suggested.
"Good idea, but you might not like the state it's in," Dan said remembering his and the others last visit to Valice's castle.
"It doesn't matter, it was bound to fall apart whether or not, now let's go." Valice said as she made a portal to her castle. "Come on ladies, get moving!"
"How did you put up these girls in the past?" Tai whispered to Jaden.
"Don't ask." Jaden replied. "But right now, we need a base so we can plan for our infiltration of Nowhere."
The group walked through the portal which they found themselves on the grounds of Valice's castle, Valice looked at the shape it was in. it used to be a beautiful sight to marvel at but now it was decaying ruins.
"It used to be so beautiful, but now it's just a mess." Valice said in a sad tone.
"Yeah, it's sad to see it in this state." Stella added.
"We should head inside and plan." Mikey spoke.
Valice nodded. Before she leads them inside, leading them to the old war chamber which Valice happened to see was still in decent shape as they all sat around the war table.
"It seems like yesterday I was sitting here." Valice said feeling the nostalgia.
"I hate to interrupt the moment but we have a job to do." Christopher spoke up.
"Agree." Dharak said as he and the other Bakugan rolled out and appeared.
"Lady Valice, how does the Rite of Channeling work?" Drago asked.
"Well it's as I said before it allows both Kaiju and Bakugan to use the abilities and powers of other Bakugan and Kaiju but in order to get those powers you have to prove your strength to the Kaiju or Bakugan in question." Valice said.
"And how do we do that?" Tai asked. "We have to fight the Kaiju or Bakugan?"
"It differs between the species, they have to acknowledge you, so the best way is to train as strong Kaiju and Bakugan won't give their powers to you if you aren't strong enough." Valice said
"So we just have to prove our worth to the Kaiju and Bakugan huh? Sounds like fun you up for it Agumon." Marcus asked his Agumon.
"Right Boss." Agumon said.
"In order for the Rite of Channeling to work, you'll need this." Valice said as she revealed a gem
"What is that?" Matt asked.
"It looks like some kind of gem." Mikey said.
"It's called a Channeling Gem, when the Kaiju and Bakugan acknowledge you their power will be stored in this gem which you can then transfer to your Bakugan or Kaiju giving them that Kaiju or Bakugan's powers. That is the Rite of Channeling." Valice explained
"Ok, I get it. So who goes first?" Dan said.
"Well, this gem is empty, to be honest," Valice said before throwing it to Jaden who caught it. "The rest of you will be given your own gems soon."
"So how do you charge them up?" Tai asked.
"You'll know when the time is right." Valice said as she got up. "Please follow me." Valice said.
"Ancient queen types, always full of secrets." Mikey said.
The group followed Valice who along with Stella came across an area, where Valice revealed a secret area shocking Jaden as well as Dan, Shun and Marucho who hadn't come across that part during their time at her castle in the past or in the present before the convergence.
"Never been here before." Dan said.
"This area is only known to my family and a select few." Valice stated.
"Never even told Haou huh?" Jaden asked.
"Jay, a girl's got to have her secrets too." Valice smirked.
Inside the room was an altar with a bunch of Channeling Gems.
"Woah look at them all." Dan said as he walked up the altar. "These could be used by a small army."
"And that army will be you and your friends." Stella said.
"How do you have so many?" Jaden asked.
"My family was one of the few who created these special gems." Valice revealed.
"And you never told anyone, even my past life?" Jaden asked, feeling a little hurt.
"Jaden, my family has kept this secret for countless millennia before Catona or Haou's time my family never trusted the supreme rulers for we feared they or anyone else would abuse the power of the gems." Valice answered. "In the wrong hands, these could bring about the end of the world."
"So you suppressed as much info as you could." Nobu said.
"That's right." Valice said. "And the fact that Dragon might have used one frightens me."
After everyone gotten a gem except Jaden who was given his by Valice, they went back to the war room
"So what do we do? We just fight whatever Kaiju or Bakugan we want and gain their power?" Marcus asked.
"I'm afraid it's not that simple, first the Kaiju and Bakugan have to be compatible with your partner, and each species has its own version of the rite so not all of you will have the same test." Valice answered. "And like I said before you have to prove you are worthy of that Kaiju or Bakugan's power or else they can't give you their strength."
"It's never that easy is it?" Tai sighed.
"Stop complaining Tai, if we are going to stop Prime Apocalypse we need all the help we can get." Matt said.
Jaden then looked at his gem. "If I was to be given power, there is one Kaiju that I want to see." Jaden said.
"And who is that?" Stella asked.
"You know him as Haou's partner, Swordius-Dragoon!" Jaden revealed
"Him? I can sense your bond with him has been severed, unlike the other spirits that stayed with your spirit." Valice said.
"I know." Jaden said. Before turning to Valice. "Do you know where he is?"
"Yes… he seems to have made a home for himself at a place called Spiral Mountain." Valice answered.
"Spiral Mountain!" Tai and Matt exclaimed.
"You know this place?" Stella asked.
"It was the site of our final battle with the Dark Masters or at least the leader Piedmon." Tai answered.
"Well then, I know where to go." Jaden said as Dharak assumed Bakugan form as Jaden leaped on him. "I'm heading to Spiral Mountain." Jaden said as Dharak flew to the skies.
"But what about us? We know of some Digimon who might help us but we're not sure if their power will be enough?" Tai said.
"Well, for now, let's split up and find some Kaiju and Bakugan and have them lend us their powers." Keith suggested
"I know who I'm going after." Marcus said. "If the royal knights aren't on a mission, I would like a match with Craniummon."
"Ok, you all know what to do, while you all are out there i'll contact Kikyo and tell her about the gems." Valice said.
"Alright, and remember if you encounter Dragon or anyone else don't engage, fall back." Nobu said glaring at Marcus.
"Why are you looking at me for?" Marcus said, arching an eyebrow.
And like that the heroes went their separate ways and all wishing each other luck on their quests.
"You think they have a chance?" Stella asked.
"You gotta have faith Stella, we all do." Valice answered.
At that time back on earth the remaining heroes were going about their day until they heard the call to action, Davis and Veemon were walking through the city in order to clear his head, he knew he was out of line and would have to apologize to Kikyo later for being rude.
"Damn it… I can't believe Jameser is gone again." Davis said in a sad tone.
"You okay." Hikari asked as both she and Yami came across Davis.
"Oh?! Hikari, Yami, what are you two doing out here?" Davis asked.
"We're out shopping with our mother." Yami said as she grumbled.
"Don't mind her, she gets that grumpiness from daddy." Hikari smirked.
Davis just smirked. "I don't mind, I've dealt with grumpiness from a friend of mine for years now."
"Davis, are you feeling better?" Alice asked while carrying the groceries.
"A little." Davis said. "You need help carrying those?"
"Not really but thanks anyway." Alice smiled.
"By the way? I've been meaning to ask." Davis said, catching Alice's attention. "Does Jaden hate me? Because when I talk he just glares or gets mad."
Davis has noticed that Jaden would always glare or talk bad about him at times, he knew Jaden wasn't a jerk but at times the oldest Muto would make it seem like he was his worst enemy.
Alice just sighed. "He doesn't hate you, Davis, Jaden just has gone through a hard life. With his powers awakening and all the evil people and monsters he dealt with his own inner demons."
Davis remembers Kikyo telling him that they had suffered more loss than they had since it was most Digimon who were killed in their fights and not many humans.
"I think when Jaden looks at you. He sees himself before awakening his power. Carefree, pure, energetic, and uncorrupted by the pain you experienced, in a way I think he envies you." Alice said.
"Really?" Davis said with a hopeful smile.
"Yes." Alice smiled. "You know, I'm making dinner soon, why don't you and Veemon come over."
"Food." Veemon spoke up, while Davis just smirked.
'One word about food and Veemon would agree to anything.' Davis thought.
"Sure Alice, we accept." Davis smiled.
Meanwhile, watching from a tall building were Lucemon, Myotismon and Devimon.
"So that's the Supreme King's wife and his two of his daughters huh?" Lucemon said.
"Truly a beauty to behold, and I can sense a power deep inside those brats." Devimon said.
"And the Child of Miracles is with them also, a chance to complete the mission and have revenge all presented on a silver platter." Myotismon stated.
"Indeed, you both take Alice and the brats. I'll get the Child of Miracles." Lucemon said.
"Who put you in charge?" Myotismon questioned.
"Because I outrank you in power and in authority." Lucemon answered, glaring at Myotismon.
"Let's just get this over with, so we won't have to hear Dragon's mouth when we get back." Devimon said, that was something they all agreed on, sooner or later both Dragon and Prime Apocalypse would meet their ends but until then the three Digimon would follow orders.
While Alice along with her daughters Yami and Hikari were taking both Davis and Veemon back to the house, Alice sensed malicious intent as she embraced her daughters. Before a blast of lightning nearly hit them. "Are you two alright?" Alice asked.
"Yeah, mama," Hikari said, a little scared.
"I'm alright." Yami said scared too.
"Where did that come from?" Davis said as he looked in the direction where the blast came from and he was half shocked to see Lucemon, Myotismon, and Devilmon standing on the roof.
"Oh, fire." Davis said, trying not to curse with kids around. "Alice, you take the kids back to DATS and get the others me and Veemon will take care of these guys."
"No, I'm not leaving you." Alice said.
"Alice! Your little girls' safety comes first before me." Davis said glaring at Alice.
Alice was surprised she had never seen this side of Davis, in all her time of knowing him, she could see determination and a willingness to put others before himself, just like Jaden.
"Alright." Alice reluctantly said. "Don't die please."
Davis just chuckled, as if he would die to these blasts from the past. "Don't worry I'll be fine."
Alice grabbed Yami and Hikari's arms as they began to run as fast as they could back to DATS.
Lucemon just smirked. "They won't get far." be turning his attention to Davis and Veemon who were ready to fight. "It's time for my revenge Davis Motomiya, this time you die."
Davis just scoffed but smirked. "If I had a dollar for every time I've heard that, I would be as rich as Seto Kaiba, ready Veemon?"
"You bet!" Veemon exclaimed as Davis's crest began to glow.
"Veemon Warp Digivolve to... UIForceVeedramon."
"Let's go Angel boy." UIforceveedramon said ready to fight.
"Go after them, I won't be long." Lucemon ordered.
Myotismon and Devimon merely nodded before they took off after Alice and her daughters
"Why are you guys after Alice, Yami, and Hikari?" Davis questioned.
"None of your business boy, now it's time for my revenge." Lucemon said as he and UIforceVeedramon charged each other.
At that time Alice was running as fast as her legs would take her with her hands firmly on her little girl's arms.
"Mom, are we going to be ok?" Hikari asked in worry.
"Yes we are, once we reach DATS, we'll be fine." Alice answered. Before activating her communicator. "Alice to DATS come in, we are being chased by Myostismon and Devimon, Davis and Veemon are in a battle with Lucemon requesting backup immediately."
"We hear you Alice, I'm sending Thomas, Yoshi, Takato, Rika and Nene for assistance." Kisara said.
Before Alice noticed Myotismon landed in front of them, they took a step back but saw Devimon behind them. "Darn it! Stay close to me." she said as Hikari and Yami hugged her.
"You have nowhere to go, and you wouldn't dare summon you Kaiju or Bakugan without putting your little bastards in danger." Devimon said.
"What did you call us!" Yami exclaimed in anger.
"Ok girls, when I say now I want you girls to run as fast as you can." Alice whispered.
"But mama…." Hikari uttered unsurely.
"Yami, I want to take your sister and run please." Alice asked.
Yami, being the more logical sister, nodded before taking Hikari's hand.
"Now! Bakugan Brawl! Hydranoid stand!" Alice exclaimed as Hydranoid appeared ready to defend his partner and her family.
"Run!" Alice yelled as Yami pulled Hikari into an alley as they ran as fast as they could.
"Why do humans always run?" Myostismon muttered. "Devimon go after the brats, I'll take care of these two."
"Right." Devimon nodded as he flew after Yami and Hikari down the alleyway.
"Not so fast! Hydranoid, Demise Trident!" Alice commanded.
Hydranoid than fired a stream of energy from his jaws at Devimon
"Crimson Lightning!" Suddenly the attack was canceled by a whip of red lightning, Alice growled as Myostismon just smirked.
"If I was you, I would worry more about yourself than those two." Myostismon smirked.
'I'm starting to see why the Digidestied hated this guy, he's almost as sadistic as Chaos Breaker.' Alice thought.
"Hydranoid we need to end him quickly so we can go after the girls." Alice said.
"Right Alice." Hydranoid said while Myostismon just smirked.
At that point Hydranoid was suddenly engulfed in a sphere of purple energy causing him to scream in pain as Alice looked up to see Lucemon.
"No way! You're fighting Davis." Alice said in shock, there's no way he could have defeated Davis and Veemon so easily.
"I'm afraid that help won't be coming for you my dear." Lucemon smirked as he tossed a white sphere of energy, It met with the purple sphere and erupted as well. The two spheres of energy joined together and transformed into a glowing three-dimensional magic circle of holy and evil energy. Lucemon smiled widened as he unleashed the power of his attack. "Ultimate Sacrifice!"
Hydranoid cried out as they were filled with unbearable agony. The magic orb danced around them, leaving him helpless to react as the attack continued seemingly forever before the orb exploded causing Hydranoid to revert to ball form.
"Hmm, it seems that luck favors him alive. My Ultimate Sacrifice attack has a fifty-fifty chance of either completely destroying an opponent, or causing an immense amount of damage. That's why it's also called my 'Dead or Alive' attack. It seems he got lucky." Lucemon commented
"Oh no…" Alice said as she grabbed Hydranoid and made an attempt to run away. Before Lucemon grabbed her.
"Let me go!" Alice demanded, struggling to get loose.
"What happened to the boy?" Myostismon asked.
"I am not your Lucemon." Lucemon smirked. "I am from the Legendary warriors world."
"Oh that makes sense." Myostismon muttered as Devimon came back with the two struggling kids in his hands.
"Let us go! When our daddy hears about this he'll kill you!" Hikari yelled.
"When I get out of this I'll kick your butts!" Yami exclaimed.
"Well mission accomplished, our world Lucemon should sense this by now." Myotismon said as he saw the rescue team approaching, Thomas riding on MirageGaogamon along with Yoshi with Rosemon flew to the side of them, followed by Gallantmon and Sakuyamon along with Sparrrowmon.
"Let them go!" Thomas demanded.
"It's time we took our leave." Lucemon smirked.
"Grizzy Wing!" Myostismon exclaimed as swarms of bats engulfed the heroes for a minute before they dissipated, the heroes looked down and saw the three digimon were gone along with Alice and her kids.
"Too late, damn it!" Sakuyamon said.
Thomas was mad as well but he knew there was nothing they could do, all they could do was head back to base, but just then an explosion took place not too far from them.
"That must be Davis and UIforce fighting." Nene said.
"We should hurry, they might need our help." Galantmon said.
Meanwhile the battle between Lucemon and UlforceVeedramon was getting intense.
Lucemon then stopped, "Well, it's been a pleasure but we'll meet again." Lucemon said as he vanished.
"He just left?" UIforceveedramon said in surprise.
"That only means one thing, buddy." Davis said in frustration before falling to his knees. "They got Alice, Yami, and Hikari! It's all my fault I wasn't strong enough!"
Just then Thomas and his group landed and made their way towards Davis.
"Davis, are you ok? You are not hurt right?" Nene asked.
"No I'm not, but those creeps-" Davis started
"We know," Thomas said, cutting him off. "They took them."
"I know and it's my fault for not being strong enough!" Davis exclaimed before hitting the ground so hard with his powers he created a small crater. "What am I going to tell Mana, Kikyo or Jaden?"
"Look gogglehead, this is not your fault we all got blindsided by this move so stop whining and get back up." Rika scolded. "Isn't that what Xeno would say?"
Davis thought for a minute and sighed. "You're right, thanks Rika."
"For now let's head back to HQ, and report." Yoshi said with everyone nodded before heading back to DATS
Everyone headed back to HQ to report what happened.
"They took Alice and my great-granddaughters!" Kikyo shouted in anger.
"I'm very sorry, if only…" Davis started but was cut off.
"Don't blame yourself, Davis, you did your best." Kikyo said before sighing. "It is very likely that they have been taken to Nowhere."
"Well then it's a good thing that Valice gave you that crystal for communication." Fabia said.
"Wouldn't a cell phone be more practical?" Kenta questioned.
"They are millenia old queens, they don't even know how to use a cell phone." Mana pointed out.
"Not that it'll help." Kisara muttered
"We shouldn't tell Jaden though." Kikyo said, surprising them.
"Why not Kikyo, he deserves to know." Sora said.
"I know his personality, as soon as he gets the message he'll just go off into Nowhere in a fit of rage." Kikyo said. "Right now he needs to focus on the Rite of Channeling or he won't stand a chance."
"We could just tell Valice right?" Mana asked.
"Yes, I'll tell her I just hope Jaden doesn't go crazy on her for what I'm going to ask." Kikyo said as she attempted to contact Valice with the crystal.
At that time Valice and an impatient Stella were waiting until Jaden and others had returned, just then the crystal she had began to glow which meant Kikyo was contacting her.
Valice picked up the crystal and began to speak. "Hello Kikyo, what do you need?"
"Valice, bad news, Alice along with two of her daughters were just taken away." Kikyo informed Valice.
"Oh no!" Valice exclaimed in shock and fear.
"Should we tell Jaden and the others?" Stella asked.
"No, don't tell Jaden. He needs to finish the rite in order to fight Dragon, promise me don't let him go to Nowhere when he gets back." Kikyo asked.
"You have my word." Valice smiled.
"Thank you, keep me updated, Kikyo out." Kikyo said before the crystal stopped glowing.
"This is fucked up! They just took them." Stella said in anger.
"Patience Stella, there's nothing we can do right now. We must wait." Valice said.
Back at New DigiCray in Nowhere, Lucemon, Devimon and Myotismon brought Alice and her firstborn twin daughters Yami and Hikari.
"Let us go you ugly devil, or i'll send you back to hell!" Yami yelled.
"Yami! Watch your tone." Alice said even under these situations she didn't like her little girls cursing she then faced Prime Apocalypse.
"Welcome Alice, it's been awhile since we last met hasn't it?" Prime Apocalypse asked in a courteous tone.
"Not long enough if you ask me." Alice replied with a glare. "If you want me fine, just let my girls go, they have nothing to do with our battle."
Prime Apocalypse just shook his head. "Oh no, no, no my dear they are indeed involved in this." Prime Apocalypse said.
"When daddy finds out you're going to need a good supply of body bags!" Hikari stated.
Dragon then stepped into view. "We'll see about that." Dragon said as he walked within view.
Alice glared in disgust at the sight she was seeing Dragon, Jaden's evil half was indeed back. "You are not Jaden, you're just an extension of Prime Apocalypse's corruption that he banished!"
"Regardless I am Jaden, whether you like it or not, after all you have a dark half working for you right?" Dragon smirked.
Alice growled before glaring at Prime Apocalypse. "What are you planning to do? Kill us? Cause if you lay a finger on my babies i'll be the one to end you."
"Kill you? What makes you think I'll kill you my dear?" Prime Apocalypse asked as held Alice by her chin. "No, I have something far more important in store for you and your daughters."
"Jaden and others will stop you! I swear!" Alice exclaimed in anger.
Prime Apocalypse just smirked before speaking. "Take them away, put them with the corpse and Impmon."
Lucemon LW and Devimon nodded reluctantly as they left the room with the still struggling Muto Family in tow.
"You sure it's wise to let her near Impmon?" Lucemon 02 questioned.
"Her powers have no dominion here, since Xeno is dead, Impmon is completely useless." Prime Apocalypse smirked. "Now return to your post until I need either of you."
Lucemon 02 and Myotismon reluctantly nodded, but their time would come and Prime Apocalypse would soon bow to them, but for now they would play along as they left the room.
Not long after that Alice, Yami and Hikari were placed in a cell when Devimon let go of the twins they ran to their mother before hugging her in fear.
"Hmph, I don't understand why he would want these three alive, it would be easier on all of us to kill them." Devimon frowned, which Yami and Hikari shivered in fear.
"As much as I would like that, we have no choice but to listen to Prime Apocalypse." Lucemon LW stated he, like his counterpart, was furious that he, a proud demon lord and a digimon who nearly brought his Digital World to its knees, was reduced to a mere errand boy.
"Sooner or later he will pay for this." Devimon said as he and Lucemon LW left the room.
Alice brought her girls together in a hug with both of them still being scared from the situation.
"Mama, are we going to be ok?" Hikari asked in fear.
Alice gave her a small smile, she couldn't let them see her afraid she needed to be strong from them and Jaden. "Yes we will, your dad will come soon."
"Well isn't this a touching moment?" a voice said from above.
Alice and both her daughters looked up and saw Impmon. Alice sighed. "Let me guess you're Impmon right, Xeno's partner?" Alice asked.
"Yep! The most handsome digimon around." Impmon smirked.
Hydranoid then weakly floated up. "Have you checked yourself in a mirror lately?" Hydranoid asked
"Have you dragon face?" Impmon countered with a glare. "You would look like this too if you were knocked out of the sky in the middle of an escape plan."
I'll give you that one." Hydranoid admitted
"I think he's cute, mom can we get an impmon." Hikari asked.
"Please we'll take good care of it." Yami asked.
Hydranoid looked hurt and looked at both Yami and Hikari. "Hey what about me and Phaedrus?" Hydranoid asked.
Both girls looked at each other before Hikari spoke. "You're kinda cute Hydranoid."
"To be blunt in ball form mostly." Yami added. "But Phaedrus is cuter in both Bakugan form and ball form."
"Now that hurts." Hydranoid muttered.
"Ha!" Impmon mocked, normally he would hate to be called cute but this time he was happy about it. "All that aside, why were you thrown in there?"
"We got captured by Prime Apocalypse." Alice explained.
"That makes sense, that bastard killed my partner." Impmon said in a sad tone gesturing to the body of Xeno floating beside him.
"Yeah we know, Davis was upset when he sensed his death." Alice said, understanding Impmon's feelings.
"Of course Xeno, Davis and Kari are best friends, they balance each other out, when one of them is gone the other two are unbalanced just like their crests." Impmon stated. "You're the supreme queen right? Maybe we can help each other."
"What do you have in mind?" Alice asked.
Impmon looked around and spoke. "We need to keep this on the down low, as you know Primey's mind can be anywhere and nowhere."
Alice nodded before Impmon began to explain his plan.
Meanwhile Dharak had just arrived on Spiral Mountain and Jaden was surprised by what he saw as the entire area in a spiral shape going high into the clouds, Jaden could see forests, wastelands, cities as well as the ocean on each section on the spiral.
"So this is Spiral Mountain huh." Jaden said, awed by the sight.
"Yeah, I can feel the energy of the past battles here. These Dark Masters must have been formidable indeed." Dharak said.
"Indeed, let's go search for Swordius-Dragoon alright." Jaden told Dharak who nodded back as he flew closer.
As soon as Dharak landed, Jaden jumped off him before Dharak returned to ball form. "I wonder where he could be, I know Valice said he roams around here but she could at least tell me where to look." Jaden muttered.
"Master Jaden." a voice rang out, as Jaden looked to the sky and saw Ultima Mythic Dragon Girl flying towards him before she gracefully landed on her feet and hugged Jaden. "It's been awhile since the convergence happened. How is my master's family doing?"
Jaden smiled as he returned the hug. "Wonderful Mythic, I haven't seen you since the convergence either." Jaden said before they stopped hugging.
"Well me, Neo Darkblade and Delta Tri-horn have been busy trying to keep things in order, when the convergence happened on all three worlds it was anarchy out there." Ultima Mythic said. "So what brings you here to our new summer retreat?"
"I'm here to see your father to ask for his help, is he here?" Jaden asked.
"Oh, the old man." Ultima Mythic said in a sour mood, which to Jaden meant they had a fight again. "He's in that castle brooding as always." Ultima Mythic pointed behind her.
"O-okay then, did you have a fight again?" Jaden asked.
"Hpmh, he still treats me like a baby and he's making me stay here while the entire universe is on the line, I should be out there helping." Ultima Mythic said.
"Alright then, well It's been nice seeing you Mythic." Jaden said as Dharak appeared and Jaden leaped on Dharak and told him to head for the castle.
"Good luck." Ultima Mythic said she was hoping to see her master's family again; she missed Xion, Xavier and Ishizu; they are like her own family.
Meanwhile back in Nowhere, Prime Apocalypse has gathered everyone but Chaos Breaker who was running late
From his own universe, The former King of Vestal Zenoheld as well as Professor Clay and 5 members of the Twelve Orders consisting of Barodius, Gill, Airzel, Kazarina and Stoica, as well as his most faithful servants the remains of the Apocalypse Battlers consisting of Zenon and Ryouko and finally his most prized pupil Dragon
From the worlds of the Digimon, Lucemon LW, 6 of the 7 Demon Lords consisting of Lucemon 02, Belphemon, Daemon, Barbamon, Leviamon, and Lilithmon, along with Myotismon, Devimon as well as the Dark Masters consisting of Piedmon, Machinedramon, Metalseadramon and Puppetmon, the D-Reaper, Tactimon, WhisperedApollomon, Gravimon, Dorbickmon, Neomyotismon, Splashmon, Zamielmon, and finally Kurata
"It's about time, as you all know I have brought each and everyone one of you back to the living plain for one purpose that you all might have in common revenge." Prime Apocalypse announced.
Many of them were not happy with being under the thumb of Prime Apocalypse, all of the villains could agree on the subject of revenge against the heroes of both Universes.
"Villains from my universe defeated by Jaden and his friends." Prime Apocalypse said, pointing towards Zenoheld and the remains of the twelve orders and Zenon and Ryouko.
"And you digimon and humans who were thwarted by the digital heroes from your respective timelines." Prime Apocalypse said pointing at Lucemon 02, Belphemon, Daemon, Barbamon, Leviamon, and Lilithmon, along with Myotismon, Devimon, Piedmon, Machinedramon, Metalseadramon, and Puppetmon, the D-Reaper, Tactimon, WhisperedApollomon, Gravimon, Dorbickmon, Neomyotismon, Splashmon, Zamielmon, and finally Kurata.
"What is in it for us? And how do we know you won't turn on us?" Daemon questioned like both Lucemons he and other Demon Lords didn't like being ordered around.
"You should asked the former king of Vestal that question." Dragon stated as he glared at Zenoheld. "I may be a copy but I've still remembered when you ordered for both mine and Spectra's betrayal." Dragon snarled.
Zenoheld growled but spoke. "He can be trusted to an extent he and Chaos Breaker have proved to be valuable allies for helping give us the upper hand."
"Trust a former alien king and a false copy? Ridiculous for a Demon Lord." Daemon stated. "But if this helps me get revenge on those kids, fine."
Suddenly spikes of energy were directed at Daemon's throat, when Damon looked to see who did it, he saw that Zenon was the cause. "Know your place here." Zenon muttered before the energy dissipated.
"Play nice Zenon." Prime Apocalypse said. "Now, all of you will have your chances at revenge but first you all must search for these."
Prime Apocalypse then pressed a button which showed a shard on it, which caught someone intrigued but some dismissed it. "This shard is a powerful tool that will make your dreams come true, there are about 20 shards in all and one of them is in the possession of the heroes."
"So you want us to seek out these shards?" Tactimon asked.
"Yes, unfortunately they have been scattered around the dimensions and I am unable to sense where most of them are."Prime Apocalypse snarled.
"If you can't find them, what makes you think we can?" Neomyostismon questioned.
"That's why I have brought back two of the best scientists of both universes." Prime Apocalypse gestured to Prof. Clay and Kurata. "As well as freeing Kazarina and the rest of the imprisoned Twelve Orders, her knowledge will surely help us."
Kurata adjusted his glasses before smirking. "This will be an interesting challenge, with my knowledge of digimon location tech we could track the unique energy signature of the shard of course there is a problem of the range of them."
"I don't mind, take as much time." Prime Apocalypse said.
"And with an understanding of the universal energy, I can adjust the system to search the dimensions for those signatures and track down their specific locations." Prof. Clay added.
"And I can gather the tech and calculate the data to improve the precision." Kazarina stated.
"Well, my fellow professors shall we get started?" Kurata smirked as he left the room with Prof. Clay and Kazarina.
"Well, it looks like the mad scientists are off doing their work." Stoica joked as he laughed
"This is serious Stoica, maybe you should learn to take things more seriously." Airzel reprimanded.
"That reminds me, master." Dragon said, getting Prime Apocalypse's attention. "It seems that Lady Valice has given Jaden and his team the knowledge on the Rite of Channeling and all of them are searching for a compatible Kaiju, Bakugan or Digimon to lend them their powers." Dragon explained.
"That is a predicament." Prime Apocalypse smirked. "Fortunately, I've already anticipated this." he smirked.
"Zenon!" Prime Apocalypse called out for.
"Yes, master?" Zenon bowed.
"I want you to go to Spiral Mountain where Jaden is and defeat him, understand." Prime Apocalypse ordered to which Zenon bowed before leaving
