Stopping the Rage of Legends!

Not far off the Driftveil City coastline laid a small island that was mostly inhabited by Pokemon and would be entirely if not for a small village laid off the coast of the island. The villagers lived peacefully among the Pokemon of the island, they did not dare attempt to catch them nor did what few tourists that came through least they upset the island's 'gods'. There wasn't much modern days essentials such as electricity present on the island either, the villagers weren't nomads though as they grew and harvested Revival Herbs that they took to the nearby city in order to trade for food or other essentials that they might need.

Atop a mountain on the far end of the island laid three shrines with all of them appearing to be of the same humanoid Pokemon, at least if one lacked a proper understanding of the island's legend. One statue was painted blue and had purple swirls across his arms and chest, the one next to him was green but had the same purple markings as the other, the third however was a bright orange color with bright pink swirls and markings across his arms and chest.

Two figures stood before the shrines, night at fallen and those that worshipped the three guardians would be fast asleep. Both indivuals had the same light skin tone and spoke with Johto accents along with the same uniform, black jackets with vertical yellow stripes that bordered the signature red R that was present on most Team Rocket individuals. They wore long white gloves that extended halfway up their arm along with a pair of large white boots that almost went up to the knee. Their black pants matched their jacket and they wore a white belt that housed both their Pokeballs and various gadgets or remotes that the two might require.

The first had short teal green hair and would easily have been mistaken for a Team Galactic grunt had the uniform been different. His hairstyle was massively different however as it was trimmed short apart from two strands on both sides of his face that extended outwards, it was quite the strange and distinct hairstyle. His partner had a short purple goatee that hung on the bottom of his chin while his hairstyle was more common amongst Unovan people, allowing him to blend in more as he had a purple mohawk atop his head! His black eyes looked the shrines over before he looked over to his partner with a light sneer.

"So Archer says we're to deface these shrines?"

"Sounds pretty easy right? The boss biting the dust sure made things better for us, Archer promised to make me the ruler of Unova once we conquer it so you better not screw this up!" The green haired man exclaimed as he gave his partner a glare.

"Oh relax Proton, there's no way we can botch this. Those villagers don't even have Pokemon!"

"So you say, Petrel but there was that one time we took over the Goldenrod Radio Tower and you literally gave the intruder the keys to my office!" Proton angrily shouted out while Petrel lightly sweated.

"Well I'm a nice guy what else can I say? The kid beat me fair and square!"

Proton's eye twitched. "I'm warning you if we screw this up I'll ensure that Team Plasma finds your apartment, you won't survive the night! That traitorous Pierce and his scar faced friend have been hunting us down one by one since we got back!"

"Well Archer likes me, he won't let you do that! Especially as I'm the godfather of Giovanni's son!" Petrel boasted with a proud smirk while Proton merely facepalmed in response.

"How on earth did I get stuck with you?"

"Simple, Domino and those three buffoons went to work with that Looker guy. Butch and Cassidy went back to look after their Sinnoh operations, Attila and Hun are on some project tilted 'Mewtwo' whatever that means, Pierce is a traitorous scumbag and Arianna is tracking down the Reveal Glass so that basically leaves just you and me!" Petrel laughed.

Proton released a drawn out sigh. "Let's just get this over with, Weezing use Self-Destruct!"

"Weez!" The Kantonian Poison type burst from his ball as a bright yellow glow surrounded him, Proton quickly dove out of the way as a large explosion occurred! Weezing's unconscious body laid in front of the three shrines which now laid in ruin. Thunder clouds and lightning quickly filled the sky while a sinister smirk formed across Proton's face.

"Driftveil City about time, now let's get my fifth Gym battle underway!"

"Pikapi!"

"Didn't we just leave Castelia a few days ago? I swear you're as impatient as a kid!" Iris exclaimed while Ash shot her a glare.

"When are you going to drop that 'kid' stuff? I've proven myself plenty of times!" Ash shouted in an annoyed tone.

"When you stop acting like a kid?!"

"Why you-" Ash and Iris glared into each other's eyes for a few moments before a third voice spoke up, one that Ash hadn't heard in quite some time.

"My what sexual tension there is between you two," Trip stated with a mocking smirk as he snapped a picture with his camera. "You two should really just kiss already."

"What?" Ash blinked.

"Me kiss him?! As if!" Iris huffed, crossing her arms as she turned her back to him. Her blush hadn't gone unnoticed by Trip though as his smirk merely grew before he turned his attention back to Ash.

"Sure took you long enough to get here, I'm actually passing through on my way back!" Trip pulled out his badge case to reveal that he had six badges in comparison to Ash's four! "How many badges do you have?"

Ash's eyes widened at the sight of Trip's badge count resulting in a few moments of silence before he softly spoke out. "Four."

"Ha! Just like a kid from the boonies to be behind!" Trip snapped his badge case shut before giving Ash a wave. "I'm sure this will be the last time we see one another as I sure don't expect you to gather all eight badges by the time the Unova League starts!"

Ash's eye twitched as he glared after Trip, a soft growl emitted from his throat before he turned to face Pikachu. "Time to prove him wrong, come on Pikachu let's get that fifth badge!"

"Pika pi!"

"What do you mean no?!" Ash angrily shouted out. "You're a Gym Leader, you can't just refuse a Gym battle!"

"Actually I can and it's not that I don't want to, it's more that I can't battle you. I'm also the mayor of this here city and I have a duty to look after it and the people and Pokemon that reside within it!" The Gym Leader, a serious looking man despite the cowboy attire he wore stood across from Ash with a stern look. He was a bit on the heavy side, had a light skin tone like the majority of Unovans along with short curly brown hair. that was covered up by a white cowboy hat. "The Pokemon Center is suffering from a Revival Herb shortage and I must focus on replenishing their supplies!"

"That's awful!" Hilda cried out. Brock immediately shot up and raced on out to see if Nurse Joy needed any help, his look completely serious and lacking the goofy lovey dovey expression that usually donned his face whenever he raced off for a Nurse Joy!

"Is there anything that we can do to help?" Cilan asked while Ash merely tilted his head in confusion.

"Revival Herbs?"

"Oh my gosh Ash, you've been through four regions and you don't know what Revival Herbs are?! Geez you really are a kid!"

"Hey I'm not a healer, give me a break!" Ash shouted as the two proceeded to glare at each other once more.

"With those two? No thanks, I'm off to Mistralton to see if they can spare any while we await our usual shipment from Milos Island." Ash and Iris' actions sure wasn't winning over Clay as he thought the two of them as immature teenagers.

"Milos Island?"

"Pika pi?"

"What if I head over to Milos Island and see what's taking them so long?" Ash suggested. "I could get there and back before you even reach Mistralton!"

Clay crossed his arms as he looked Ash over, his expression still lacking signs of Ash making an impression on him. "Fine but I'm still going to Mistralton, you can have my assistant give me a ring if you return with the supplies." With how much emphasis he used it gave a really good implication to Cilan and Hilda that Clay didn't have faith in them, most likely on account of Ash and Iris' behavior that day. "Good luck, I'm sure you need it." Clay gave them a wave before turning his back to them as he departed.

Ash stared after him for a moment before slowly turning to face the others. "So where exactly is Milos Island?" Ash asked while the others all face faulted as Ash had agreed without even knowing where he was going!

"Storm clouds approaching..." Cilan remarked as the rental boat arrived at the island's dock.

"Those clouds don't look normal to me..." Iris commented as she looked up with a worrisome expression.

"Axew ew..."

"Scared of a little thunder? Now you sound like a kid!" Ash gave Iris a teasing smirk. Iris let out a light growl before Hilda stepped in between them and held them apart with her arms.

"Enough you two, let's just focus on the task at hand so we're not stuck out here in a storm!"

"Hilda's right, you two can come to a resolution later." Cilan agreed. "For now let's focus on helping out the Pokemon back in Driftveil."

Ash clenched his fists before flashing Iris an apologetic look. "They're right, sorry Iris."

Iris let out a light huff as she turned away from him. "Let's get to the village, somebody there is sure to know why the shipment never arrived." They headed a bit up the path before coming across the small village, the villagers were currently racing around the village in a panic while some could be heard shouting.

"The gods have forsaken us, somebody has upset them!"

"They've come to end us all!" One shouted, coincidentally a blue streak of lightning burst down from the heavens and gave the villager a shock right after he said that!

"What's going on? What's all this 'god' talk, I've met the gods and they sure weren't capable of this!" Ash exclaimed as he stared at the heavy storm clouds now above them.

"Hold up, you actually met Dialga, Palkia and Arceus?!" Iris exclaimed.

"And Giratina as well!" Ash cast her a smirk as Iris' jaw dropped, a look of respect briefly shining in her eyes before she quickly shook her head to resume focus.

"I'm not well versed on the subject but I do believe my brother told me about these Pokemon once, they're not gods but the villagers here do view them as such. A long long time ago the two Pokemon known as Thundurus and Tornadus were at war with one another here on this very island! The two battled for years and the island was in complete and utter ruin, Landorus the leader of the duo tried to make them stop their fighting and come to peace with another but instead of listening they turned on him and left him for dead. Landorus would have died had a maiden and her Servine not stepped and offered him a Revival Herb, with his strength restored Landorus leaped straight back into the action and beat some sense into his brothers! The three then teamed up and in a matter of mere hours the island was a luscious paradise of greenery!" Hilda explained.

"But why would they go back to fighting each other all these years later?" Cilan questioned as in the distance they could see the blue and green humanoid Pokemon clashing blows off in the distance with the two appearing to be quite even in strength as neither could overcome the other!

"Something human related I'm sure, I'd bet good Pokebucks that it's that damn Team Plasma again." Hilda growled out.

"Close but not quite!" A voice could be heard causing the four to quickly turn to see Proton and Petrel standing right behind them. Proton tossed a Master Ball up and down with a sly smirk across his face as he eyed the group. "So you're that Ketchum brat? Archer said that you might come here, that you're practically magnetized to trouble!"

"This is your doing?!" Ash clenched his fists as he growled out at the two of them.

"Yep, Proton here caught Thundurus in a Master Ball and forced him to reignite his former feud with his dear brother!" Petrel laughed before Proton slammed his fist down on his head.

"Shut up Petrel!"

Ash quickly threw out his arm. "Pikachu use Thunder Bolt, we'll break that ball!"

"PIKA!"

"Thundurus, I need you!"

"Thundu!" The blue humanoid Pokemon came blasting towards Proton and Petrel in a streak of blue light, shielding the two with his arms as he appeared to be absorbing Pikachu's electricity. Thundurus looked down as he felt his power increasing from the blast, a smirk crossed his face as he quickly lashed out and grabbed at Pikachu!

"Pika pi!"

"Hey, let go of Pikachu!" Ash shouted. "Emboar, use Rollout!"

"Crustle use Rock Wrecker!"

The two Pokemon burst out and started to assault the Electric/Flying type with their Rock type attacks but it appeared to do little damage as he just ignored them! Thundurus then began to glow as he started draining Pikachu of his electricity, Pikachu looking weaker by the second as Thundurus appeared to grow stronger, his muscles bulging out while his eyes turned a dark red as he found himself consumed by the power, his mind quickly falling into madness while Proton let out a laugh.

"Archer was right, we just drained your Pikachu of his Electricity! Now you can't interfere with our work anymore or better yet... let's ensure this is permanent!" Petrel's eyes widened as he gave Proton a shocked look.

"Proton don't-"

"Kill them all, use Thunder!"

Thundurus turned around to face Proton, his look full of rage as his gaze was focused upon the Master Ball.

"Hey aren't you listening?! I caught you in this Master Ball, you belong to me and you must listen to me and obey! I want you to kill those brats with Th-"

Petrel quickly began running away as a large amount of electricity began surging through the Pokemon's body as he prepared the attack, a large burst of blue electricity blasted down from the heavens but instead of hitting Ash and his friends, it hit Proton! The electricity faded and all that remained was a pile of ash!

Iris' eyes widened at the sight while Hilda looked slightly traumatized, she could only imagine how Zach felt as he saw the Pokemon he cared about die in front of him. Proton was an asshole sure but it was still disturbing to see! Thundurus then shot up into the sky and the formerly even grounded fight against Tornadus was now one sided as the green humanoid Pokemon found himself being beaten about through the air!

"Wait a second, if these two are here then where's Landorus?" Ash asked as he turned towards the others. "S-Shouldn't he be here too?"

"Man this would be so much easier with my brother here, his Lucario could sense Landorus' aura within a matter of minutes!"

Petrel peered out from a nearby bush. "T-That orange one appeared for a few minutes and quickly found himself being assaulted by the others, Proton caught Thundurus while it was distracted but I have no idea where Landorus went."

Ash and Hilda gave each other a look before they reached for their Pokeballs.

"Rufflet I choose you!"

"Tranquil, let's go!"

"Rufflet!"

"Tranquill!" The two Flying types emerged from their Pokeballs and focused their attention on their trainers as they explained what was going on, Ash brought up Landorus' image on his Pokedex before showing to the birds.

"See this Pokemon? That's Landorus, he's somewhere on this island and needs our help!"

"Go find him please, Tornadus won't last long without him and Landorus surely won't stop Thundurus on his own!" Hilda exclaimed while Pikachu laid weakened upon Ash's shoulder.

"Pika..."

"It'll be okay Pikachu," Ash pet his best friend's head before looking towards the sky as Rufflet and Tranquill went flying off! The two birds split off in separate directions as they flew across the island in search of Landorus. Tranquill soon let out a chirp before quickly turning as she flew back towards her trainer and began circling the air above her.

"Tranquill!"

"Tranquill, you found him?!"

"Tranquill!"

"Come on, let's get moving!" Iris shouted as the four quickly chased after the Flying type, following her across the island before arriving at a small clearing where a crater had formed at the center of it. Hilda quickly raced forward as Servine burst out from his ball upon sensing the possible threat.

"Ser..."

"I know Servine but we have to be brave!" Hilda quickly slid down the crater alongside Servine before pulling a Revive from her pocket. Landorus let out a pained grunt as his eyes quickly shot open, the legendary Pokemon began quickly rising up into the air and gave Hilda an appreciative look before blasting off into the sky to help Tornadus as he sensed the danger.

"Thundu!" In his blind rage Thundurus failed to realize that his brother was a Ground type! The powerful electric blast struck but had little effect as Landorus went blasting towards him before upper cutting him across the face! Tornadus gave Landorus a grateful expression before quickly slashing Thundurus with his tail! Electricity began leaking out of Thundurus as he fell down to the ground before landing in a collapsed heap, a second crater formed around him as he laid there in defeat while his senses quickly began to return to him. Thundurus looked around at all the damage he had caused while blindly firing electricity everywhere, trees and bushes laid in ruins while Pokemon could be seen cowering in the shadows.

"Thundu..." Landorus and Tornadus placed their hands on his shoulders and offered him a sympathetic smile. Thundurus began slowly smiling in return before the three flew up into the sky, their hands grabbed onto one another as rain clouds quickly filled the air before rain poured down upon the island. It appeared that the legends were indeed true as new trees and bushes quickly grew in place of the ones that Thundurus had destroyed while off in the distance the Revival Herb fields began to replenish while the villagers leaped up and down and began to cheer for their gods!

The three guardians then gazed down at Ash, Cilan, Hilda, and Iris and gave them all appreciative looks. Without them who knows what sort of chaos Thundurus would have done while in his power driven state! The three legendary Pokemon then gave the group a nod before flying off into the air!

"Bye you three, take care!" Iris waved after them.

Hilda stared after them with a weird sensation flowing through her as she waved goodbye. It was strange but she had a feeling that she'd see them again someday!

"Sounds like you all had quite the adventure!" Brock exclaimed as the group brought the Revival Herb shipment to the Pokemon Center. Nurse Joy was quick to thank the group before taking the herbs into the backroom.

"Yeah but I'm worried about Pikachu though, he hasn't been the same since Thundurus drained him of his electricity." Ash cast a worried look towards Pikachu, Pikachu appeared perfectly fine but something was off. He wasn't emitting the same level of powerful aura that he usually did!

Brock scratched the bottom of his chin before he pulled out a scanner. "Hm... it appears that whatever they did essentially 'reset' Pikachu. He still knows Quick Attack, Volt Tackle, Thunderbolt and Iron Tail but his power is nowhere near the same as it once was!"

"It looks like whoever's in charge of Team Rocket now sure knows what they're doing, targeting Pikachu specifically like that!" Hilda growled out.

"They're cowards, they know that Pikachu's practically unstoppable!" Iris shouted.

Ash stroked Pikachu behind his ears as he held him tightly within his grasp. "Don't worry Pikachu, we'll find a way to revert this I promise! You'll be back in fighting shape in no time!"

"Proton's dead? Fascinating..." Archer calmly spoke as he stared off. The death of one of his top executives hardly phased him nor did losing Thundurus for their true mission had succeeded!

"Petrel I want you to join Arianna, you're dismissed."

"Y-Yes sir," Petrel was surprised at how calm Archer was and quickly made his leave in case Archer decided to change his mind. Archer looked towards his desk with a light smirk.

"A piece has been removed from the chess board, with Pikachu no longer at full strength Team Plasma remains our only obstacle."

Nearly a week had passed since Zach had parted ways with the others and sure enough Hilda's worries had come true, on account of both his and Lucario's inability to cook both had winded up passing out on the outskirts of an eastern Unova town. Ocean waves could be heard in the distance while Wingull flew above them!

"Gull gull, Wingull!"

Lucario's eye slowly opened up as he could sense a human coming but he was too weak to properly read their aura before falling back into a state of unconscious.

"Oh no, what happened here?!" Zach felt a hand touch his chest as whoever it was felt for a heartbeat, he let out a hunger induced groan with Lucario following with one of his own seconds later.

"Still alive, great!" A Pokeball sound could be heard before the two felt themselves being placed upon a large Pokemon's backside as they were taken to the safety of the nearby villa.

Yeah yeah Pikachu getting reset is dumb I agree but the choice was either that or they kill Pikachu and I wasn't going to do that. It's obviously not permanent

Anyways the three guardians/kami trio made their debut along with Petrel and Proton.
