Keldeo and the Three Musketeers

"KYU!" A large grey and white abomination of a dragon stood towering over a small colt Pokemon. The dragon looked like Kyurem but parts of his body had changed to match that of another dragon, the entirety of it's left side was white and almost graceful looking had it not been for the abomination's face. The creature resembled that of a nightmare as it's sharp teeth looked like they could rip titanium in half with ease while it's fierce yellow eyes appeared as if they were staring into your soul!

"Kyurem your tyranny ends here! I won't let my brothers' deaths be in vain!" The cream colored colt Pokemon cried out as he shot a brief glance towards three figures that laid on their side. A large feathery red mane was present atop the Pokemon's head while fluffy light blue fur surrounded his neck and covered his tail.

"Then you'll fall as they have!" The dragon's voice was that of two separate dragon's speaking as one. Kyurem threw back his head as a large fiery ball formed within his mouth. He kept his eyes focused on the colt Pokemon and despite the colt Pokemon's bold moves he started to tense up at the sight of the attack, his body started to shake uncontrollably as the attack moved through the air and made it's way towards him! He closed his eyes and prepared for impact only to let out a startled gasp as he felt a hoof prodding his stomach, snapping him right out of the nightmare!

"You're having that nightmare again?" A blue furred stag Pokemon stood over the colt Pokemon with a stern yet concerned look upon his face.

"Y-Yes Cobalion, I had it... Kyurem was there but he was different than last time!"

"How so?" Cobalion tilted his head.

"W-Well for starters his left side was white and sort of looked like Reshiram or at least how you all described her to me..." Cobalion's eyes widened before he stared off into this distance.

"So the prophecy really has come true? Blasted humans... I knew that the period of peace wouldn't last forever."

"Come now Cobalion, not all humans are bad." A feminine voice spoke up as a graceful green antelope Pokemon entered the cave. "After all they've kept the peace this long!"

"That's partially due to the Black Knight and the old hero never passing on the truth to their descendants. Kyurem laid locked in his prison until somebody from one of those bloodlines let him out!" A large bulky grey colored bovine Pokemon stepped out of the shadows with an annoyed huff.

"Come now Terrakion, don't you know that it was bound to happen? Zekrom and Reshiram saw this coming and both chose trainers that they deemed worthy of fighting alongside, you really think they'd have done that had the world had a chance at a permanent peace between people and Pokemon?"

"Virizion you've always been soft, Zekrom and Reshiram hung around humans far longer than they should have and grew a love for them when they should focus on protecting us Pokemon!" Cobalion growled. "May I remind you that a thousand different Pokemon species perished during that war? How many do you think will perish this time?!"

"My parents..." The colt Pokemon lowered his head, Virizion gave him a light nuzzle as she shot Cobalion a glare.

"I haven't forgotten but we shouldn't lose faith in our fellow Pokemon!"

"Don't you see Virizion? It's too late! Keldeo's visions are never wrong, it's over! Once Kyurem morphs into his White or Black form he is unbeatable, nothing can stop him! Our best chances at survival are if we stay hidden in these woods, even then we might eventually find ourselves on the run." Cobalion growled.

Virizion narrowed her eyes at him while Keldeo let out a sigh as he put on a brave expression and stared directly up into Cobalion's eyes. "Well I'm not going to sit around and hide like a coward while some other Pokemon or possibly even a human ends up like me! I'm gonna go out there and stop Kyurem!"

"You? Please you're terrified of your own shadow." Terrakion laughed before his expression instantly turned to that of regret as Keldeo turned and ran right out of the cave!

"Nice going you two, you finally made him run off!" Virizion growled. The nightmares had been a recurring thing for the past few years and Keldeo had grown tired of being seen as a weak link both by himself and his adopted family. "Don't you remember when we were the Swords of Justice and protected Unova of any and all threats? We could have stopped those innocent people and Pokemon from getting hurt when Team Rocket and Team Plasma attacked Castelia City! And maybe Keldeo wouldn't have run off if you at least offered to train the poor kid!"

"You know damn well why I didn't train that kid!" Cobalion growled as he pressed his face against Virizion's. "Don't you dare make me say it!"

Terrakion was silent as he stared after Keldeo. The small colt Pokemon ran for miles and miles, not looking back as he ran.

"Today's the day!" Hilda let out an ecstatic shout as she shot from her Pokemon Center room and raced down the hall, nearly bowling Zach and Dawn over as the two exited his room, their hair a complete mess. Zach looked after Hilda and smiled lightly as he didn't hold it against her, knowing that she was just eager to see N again. He then felt something light touching his head causing him to look up before glancing towards Dawn as she'd noticed that she had accidentally put her hat on his head. The two shared a blush as they gazed at each other's eyes while Zach couldn't help but wonder if Hilda had seen that?

"N!" Hilda's eyes locked onto the green haired trainer as soon as she'd stepped foot out of the Pokemon Center. She quickly leaped out and pulled him into a tight embrace before planting a kiss on his lips. "It's so good to see you again!"

"I'm grateful that destiny saw fit for us to safely reunite with one another," N breathed out softly as he held Hilda in his arms.

"I don't think destiny will mind if we ignore the Dark Stone and focus on having a date do you?" Hilda asked before glancing back at the Pokemon Center with a light smirk. "Besides my brother and his girlfriend have been spending quite a bit of time together lately so I don't think he'd mind us holding it off... that I didn't tell him yet."

"You didn't?!" N's eyes widened. "But you said you'd tell him and Ash-"

"I tried but I saw him and Dawn sneaking off to his room early in the evening," She knew what happened but wouldn't say anything, she respected her brother's privacy. "As for Ash well... I tried speaking to him privately and let's just say Meloetta read my words wrong." She sweated as she flashbacked to Meloetta's face glowing red as a jealous fury flared within Meloetta's eyes before the Psychic type picked her up and yeeted her right out the Pokemon Center!

"I'll tell Ash then, don't you worry." N offered her a smile before placing his lips up against her own. "Now let's get to that date!"

"How dare you?! Nobody messes with Pokemon Hunter R and gets away with it, mate!" The Pokemon Hunter that Ash rescued Meloetta from stood shaking his fist at the former Team Rocket trio as they stood across from him. Jessie and James were still dressed in black but their uniforms were now missing the familiar red R insignia. Before them stood an Eelektross and a Cofagrigus, during their time away they spent a bit training in order to infiltrate Team Rocket headquarters to retrieve Seviper and the others. Yamask had evolved into Cofagrigus when they were busting the Celadon Game Corner operation and shortly after their return to the Unova region to help with the Team Plasma issue, Jessie encountered the electric type eel and caught him! Though they had denounced their evil ways she still had a fondness for serpent and serpent-like Pokemon, wanting one on her team! James had similarly caught a Ferrothorn which had grown a fondness for him quite quickly!

"Well we just did!" Jessie flashed the Pokemon Hunter a smirk.

"Consider yourself under arrest!" James smirked as he held out a pair of handcuffs.

"Yeah, nobody harasses wild Pokemon while we're around!" Meowth growled out.

"I'd rather not go to prison, thanks mate!" The Pokemon Hunter pressed a button on his robot arm and teleported safely away leaving the injured Pokemon behind. The trio quickly glanced around as they expected the Pokemon Hunter to come back with a sneak attack however the sound of an engine activating and the sight of a ship blasting into the sky quickly put an end to those thoughts.

Meowth walked over to the injured Pokemon before giving it a light poke. "It's still alive."

Keldeo let out a light groan.

"He looks like he's been running for months, poor thing..." Jessie frowned as she noted the Pokemon seemed a bit thin, his stomach also grumbled rather loudly. "James do your cards have anything on this species?"

James quickly fumbled through his deck of Unova cards before shaking his head. "Unfortunately no, I haven't got the slightest idea what this thing is."

"Meowth, well I'll just ask him when he wakes up! Come on one of you's hand me a Revive or something!"

"What are you three doing?!" Ash stepped out from a nearby tree, Pikachu on his shoulder and Meloetta hovering right behind as the three stared at the trio. Since Hilda was reuniting with N, Zach was busy showing Dawn around, and both Cilan and Brock were helping Iris with training Salamence, that left Ash with an open schedule so he'd taken it upon himself to wake up early to get in some training and also make an attempt at getting some last minute captures for his team.

"Pika pi!" Pikachu's cheeks sparked in a threatening manner, James and Meowth immediately noticed Pikachu's electricity was blue rather than the usual shade of yellow.

"Whoa I know this looks bad but you got to believe us, we were protecting him!" Jessie held up her hands in a defensive manner.

"Since when was Pikachu's electricity blue?" James asked.

"Yeah it's supposed to be yellow, is he sick again?" Meowth asked with a concerned tone.

"Pikachu's fine," Ash shifted his eyes between the three before focusing his gaze on Keldeo. He still felt a bit uneasy about this as he wasn't quite used to the trio being on the good guy team. "Can you explain what happened?"

"Well we were tracking down the movements of one of Team Plasma's sages, Zinzolin I think was his name, when we came across this Pokemon being attacked by this Pokemon Hunter guy." James explained.

"He looked like something out of a sci-fi movie, he had a robot arm and high tech glasses and everything!" Meowth exclaimed.

"He also spoke in this weird accent, kept calling us mate." Jessie added.

"...Yeah you're definitely not making this up, I tangled with the guy myself!" Ash exclaimed as the thumbed towards Meloetta. "I rescued her from the mercy of his Malamar."

"That's the guy!" Meowth shivered. "That Pokemon gave me the creeps!"

"Yeah I sure wouldn't like owning one." James added on with a shiver as Keldeo began to stir.

His eyes shifted between them before shooting wide open as he shot to his feet. "Keldeo!"

"Meowth, translate?" James asked.

"Sure thing Jimmy!"

"W-Who are you guys?! What happened to that mean man with the evil squid?!"

"We sent that Pokemon Hunter packing, your safe now!" James exclaimed.

"Yeah your safe with us!" Jessie added.

Keldeo shifted his eyes between the strange looking group before uttering a sigh. "Looks like I'll never grow strong enough to beat Kyurem, I couldn't even protect myself from a Pokemon Poacher."

"Wait a second, Kyurem?!" Ash loudly exclaimed resulting in Keldeo shooting up with a brief frightened look. "You're training to beat Kyurem?! Well it just so happens that my friends and I are working towards stopping Kyurem!"

"Y-You are?" Keldeo gazed towards Ash. "T-Then perhaps we could become allies... my family doesn't want to help so it's quite handy that we came across each other."

"Your family? And what are you exactly if you don't mind me asking?" Ash questioned.

"The name's Keldeo, the youngest member of the Swords of Justice formerly known as the Three Musketeers!"

"Yeah never heard of you, none of us are from Unova." Ash lightly sweated as Keldeo hung his head.

"The Swords of Justice fought in the last war against Kyurem but the heavy lost of Pokemon species caused them to lose hope in humanity. The actions of villainous teams such as Team Dark, Team Rocket, Team Magma and Aqua, Team Galactic and Team Plasma sure didn't help any."

"Team Dark?" Ash asked.

"They were the villainous team of the Kalos region before Team Rocket staked a claim on the region." James explained.

"Well I can't speak for Team Dark but I actually had a hand in destroying Team Magma and Aqua, and Team Galactic as well!" Ash boasted with a light smirk resulting in Keldeo looking up at him with an interested look. "And I can promise you that we'll put an end to Team Plasma too!"

"Pika!"

"Really? Heh... you sound exactly like what I want to be." Keldeo gave Ash a smile and was about to talk further before a fierce cold breeze filled the forest around them. Ash remembered feeling this way once before and quite recently, his heart started racing against his chest as he shot Meloetta a look.

"Meloetta get us out of here, now!"

Meloetta quickly grabbed at her beloved trainer's jacket only to let out a cry as a Dragon Pulse flew through the air and blasted her away!

"Melo!" The Psychic type landed in a collapsed heap behind Ash.

"Meloetta!" Ash growled out, returning her to the safety of her Pokeball before turning back to face the former Rocket trio. "You three need to run, it's not safe here!"

"And leave you?" Meowth growled out.

"As if!"

"We'll fight alongside you!" James exclaimed as he tapped his chest.

"Former enemies turned friends, how touching..." Ghetsis stepped out from the shadows, trees came crashing down as Kyurem followed him. The Dragon type's eyes full of anger and hate as he set his eyes on Ash and the Rocket trio. "Ash Ketchum you foolish boy, you didn't realize the power that you had within your grasp! Had you simply gone back to Nacrene City you might have had a shot at defeating me but now I'll be forced to kill your Pokemon and friends while taking you prisoner! Reshiram's power will be mine, I won't be denied what is rightfully mine!"

"Wait a second, this twerp-I mean Ash can summon Reshiram?!" James exclaimed.

"Of course, didn't N tell you?" Ghetsis held up the Light Stone and began to toss it up and down with a sinister smirk. "Though given the look of surprise I'll take that as a no, a shame but little did he know that I anticipated his movement and set up an ambush!"

"That's the Light Stone, to think had we remembered what we were ordered to retrieve then this could have all gone differently..." Chase trailed off as he eyed the stone.

"We'd likely be dead, you really think Ghetsis would have kept us around once he got his ultimate power? He'd kill anyone and anything that he deemed a threat!" Brooke growled lightly as her eyes didn't move from the stone. "We're doing this for Brick, Zach and everyone else whose lives were ruined by this jackass!" She smashed her fist into the glass and pulled out the stone. An alarm quickly went off as Scar leaped down from the ceiling alongside the Shadow Triad. A sinister smirk crossed his face as his eyes met with Brooke's once again.

"There you two are... I've got a new scar that I'd love to tell you about..."

Brooke shivered before flashing him a harsh glare. "Yeah well you're not going to tell us cause we're leaving, Beartic let's go!"

"You too Heatmor!"

Beartic and Heatmor emerged from their Pokeballs while Scar didn't seem phased in the slightest.

"Volcarona." The large fire moth emerged from it's ball, uttering a loud shriek as it's wings glowed bright red before it flew right towards the former Plasma grunts. Chase and Heatmor were sent flying through the air before landing next to a gas line which stared to crack and hiss as gas started filling the room.

"What's going on here?" Lenora came up from her Gym only to find herself confronted by the Shadow Triad as they all released a Bisharp! "Ah so you want to play that game, eh? Very well!"

"B-Beartic hang on... Sheer Cold!" Beartic threw out his arms and uttered out a loud roar as a fierce cold wind formed around him and lashed out at Volcarona!

"Fire Blast!" Volcarona fired off a large burst of flame from his mouth, the gas around them burst into flame as the museum caught fire! Brooke covered her mouth with one hand and began frantically looking around as Beartic laid in defeat next to her.

"Chase?!"

"So cute that you two found each other, shame that you won't live long enough to have kids!" Scar laughed as he released Ferrothorn, Brooke's attention slowly drifted back towards Scar only to find herself pinned to the ground by the steel Pokemon as it smashed it's long spiked tendrils against her head. Chase started to stand up only to be greeted by the horrifying sight.

"No!"

Scar flashed him a sinister smirk as the flames grew larger, separating the two as the fire spread and the museum started to collapse around them. Scar picked up the Light Stone from Brooke's cold hands before turning to make his leave while Chase stared horrified at Brooke's body. He made no attempt at escaping and merely rushed through the flames, reaching out for Brooke's hand as he held it and accepted his fate. The Shadow Triad noticed the collapsing building and ceased their battle with Lenora before quietly and quickly making their escape while allowing her to make her own escape though she gave them a questioning look as it felt off for Team Plasma.

The museum collapsed to a pile of rock and rubble shortly after Lenora exited it. The Gym Leader turned to look at it with a pained expression. It wasn't just years of work along with priceless artifacts being lost but she was pretty sure that people were still inside! She lowered her head as she paid her respect before briefly opening an eye as she noticed the Shadow Triad standing next to her doing similar actions of their own as a questioning look crossed her face.

The Shadow Triad's eyes were full of regret as they stared at the ruined building, it wasn't what they wanted. Ghetsis' dream used to sound so appealing but over the years they'd become disillusioned with the idea. Brainwashing a ten year old was already iffy and they regretted their then people started dying, then Lord N and several others left the organization while most others that spoke out were killed on the spot by either Pierce or Scar and now Ghetsis was neigh unstoppable! Once he absorbed Reshiram there wouldn't be anything stopping him from world conquest and then what use would they be? They'd be tools tossed aside and forgotten about! The Shadow Triad all gave each other a silent look as they shared a nod and knew what they had to do.

"Eelektross use Discharge!"

"Ferrothorn use Power Whip!" James cried out as the trio's Pokemon started to attack. Eelektross' body sparked as several electrical bolts fired off from his body while Ferrothorn's arm tendrils glowed bright green before being slammed against Kyurem!

"And I'll attack with Shadow Claw!" Meowth's claws glowed a ghastly shade of purple and black as he slashed at the dragon! Kyurem stood completely still, it was as if nothing had even touched him as there were no marks or signs of fatigue anywhere on his body!

Ash gritted his teeth as he threw out his arm. "Bolt Strike!" Pikachu's body became engulfed in blue electricity as the electrical mouse raced across the field before throwing his body against his opponent, Kyurem let out a loud shriek as he was struck resulting in Ghetsis' eyes widening.

"That was one of Zekrom's signatures moves, where did you...? Oh, oh! Of course! Why didn't I see it before? It all makes sense now!" Ghetsis smirked before shaking his head. "Well I'll just go kill him once this is done." He pressed a button on his cane before slamming it against the ground resulting in Eelektross, Ferrothorn and Pikachu retreating to their Pokeballs.

"W-What just happened?!" Meowth let out a startled hiss.

"That cane has some sort of technology that makes Pokemon return to their Pokeballs rather they want to or not, fascinating... had we thought of that we could have stolen Pikachu years ago." James exclaimed with an amused chuckle.

"What are you laughing for? We're gonna die down!" Jessie shouted as she gave her partner a light slap.

"Indeed you will though perhaps I'll spare you if he touches the Light Stone." Ghetsis smirked. "I know you hero types, you don't have it in you to protect yourselves but if your friends or anyone else is in danger then you'll do something stupid. So kid you've got two choices, help me and I'll allow you, those three buffoons, Keldeo and your Pokemon to remain alive to be subjects under my new rule or you touch the stone and awaken Reshiram!"

"Don't do it!" Meowth hissed.

"Yeah, don't! You heard him, there won't be any stopping him if you do this!"

Ash looked conflicted. He knew that Ghetsis was fully capable of killing them and their Pokemon, he'd done the exact same trick seven years ago when he murdered Zach's own Pokemon. He gazed towards the ball belonging to Pikachu as he clenched his fists. He couldn't imagine a world without Pikachu in it, if Pikachu could speak right now he was sure he'd be against this but Ash just couldn't bear to see him, Charizard or any of the others killed!

"I'll do it..."

"What?!"

Ghetsis smirked before beckoning him forward with one hand while holding out the Light Stone with the other. Ash slowly approached as he argued back and forth with himself within his brain, the trio chimed in with shouts of their own as they tried talking Ash out of it but he wasn't listening. Ash reached out and touched the Light Stone, the ball ignited in a bright yellow and orange flame as a similar looking aura surrounded Ash's body upon him touching it. A gleeful sinister look crossed Ghetsis' face as he could picture his victory already! However a cream and red blur raced between them and bashed against Ghetsis, the villain let out a painful shout as his arm came clean off and flew across the clearing while the Light Stone flew off in the other direction. Ash quickly dove towards it while Ghetsis dropped his cane and held his injury to halt the bleeding.

"F-Fucking hell..." Keldeo stood across from him with a harsh glare on his face, the Pokemon looked different than before as his horn was now a dark blue color and several colorful strands of fur grew from his red mane.

"I'm not afraid anymore, y-you're going down Kyurem!"

"K-Kyurem kill that meddlesome pest!" Ghetsis growled out. Kyurem charged up a Dragon Pulse and fired it at Keldeo, the attack struck and exploded upon impact sending Keldeo flying across the field before he landed in a defeated slump in front of the trio. "Don't stop there, do it again! That pest will pay for cutting off my arm!"

Ash grabbed onto the Light Stone as the stone quickly resumed it's glow, the glow surrounded Ash as well before the stone began lifting up into the air as it began taking the shape of the legendary white dragon Pokemon Reshiram! The large white Dragon type almost looked graceful as she stood before Ash with her back to him as her attention was locked on Kyurem.

"RAM!" Reshiram opened up her mouth as a large fiery ball appeared within in. Keldeo opened his eye and shivered lightly at the sight, though Reshiram was on his side the sight of the attack still haunted his nightmares. Reshiram fired the large fire ball from her mouth and quickly struck Kyurem, the Ice Dragon let out a loud painful roar upon impact while Ghetsis' cane melted from the intense heat that struck it! Pikachu immediately burst from his ball, blue electricity surrounded him as he charged at Kyurem and slammed his body against him!

"Kyu!"

Kyurem started looking overwhelmed as sweat ran down it's body, his eyes constantly shifted from one target to the next as his breath grew heavy.

"R-Retreat!" Ghetsis climbed onto Kyurem's back, the Dragon took off the ground seconds after before the two quickly blasted off into the sky!

"Wow..." Meowth breathed out as he looked up at Reshiram, completely awestruck as hearts filled his eyes. "She's beautiful!"

"And powerful..." James breathed.

"So what do you own Reshiram now?" Jessie questioned.

"I guess I do? I mean we need her to beat Ghetsis..." Ash reached for an empty Pokeball before holding it out to Reshiram. "Reshiram I know this may seem sudden but would you be willing to join me as my Pokemon? I-I don't mean to sound rude, you can stay out of your ball if you wish it's just that... a large dragon such as yourself will be drawing a lot of attention, most likely unwanted kinds too."

Reshiram nodded her head without hesitation, she reached out and gently tapped the ball with her wing before disappearing in a beam of red light. The ball shook back and forth before chiming to announce the capture complete!

"A-Ash... I-I wanna join you too!" Keldeo bravely stood before Ash with a look of determination. "I wanna protect people and Pokemon just like you do and I can see clearly that if our paths join together that we'll grow stronger together."

"You mean that Keldeo?" Ash questioned before Keldeo quickly nodded.

"I do." Ash smirked before tossing an empty Pokeball at him.

"Welcome to the team, Keldeo!"

"Pi Pikachu!"

The trio could only watch in amazement as Ash caught two incredibly rare Pokemon within the span of two minutes!

"Wow..."

"I had a great time!" N flashed Hilda a loving smile as they exited a restaurant, their heads leaned against one another as they walked hand in hand.

"Just think once this Team Plasma stuff is sorted out we can do this all the time!" Hilda exclaimed with a loving smile. "I really enjoyed getting to finally go on a date with you and look forward to the many to come!"

"About that, Hilda there's a good chance that we could die in the incoming battle and I... I want to make sure that if I die that I leave without any regrets," N looked around to make sure nobody was looking at them before dropping to a knee as he held out a ring box. "Hilda will you marry me?"

Hilda's eyes widened as a massive blush quickly formed across her face, the girl was as red as a tamato berry as she eagerly nodded her head. "Yes! Oh my gosh yes, I wouldn't dream of anything else!" She squealed out before pulling him into a deep kiss as she wrapped her arms tightly around him. The kiss lasted for quite a bit and only broke as Hilda tried dragging him to somewhere more private.

"N-No! Not until we're married!" N blushed heavily. Hilda frowned for a moment before nodding her head in acceptance.

Ash returned to the others a few hours later and caused quite the stir as he introduced Reshiram to the others.

"Oh my gosh, it's Reshiram!" Iris leaped up and down while squealing like a schoolgirl.

"I should have known that one of the dragons would have chosen you!" Cilan exclaimed as his eyes gazed admiringly towards the dragon.

"Well of course legendary Pokemon are just drawn to him for some reason." Brock laughed.

N and Zach silently lowered their heads as they were informed that Brooke and Chase were gone. Hilda and Dawn silently comforted their boyfriends as they leaned their heads against them and gently held onto their hands.

"And Keldeo's joined the team too!" Ash grinned as he released Keldeo, the colt Pokemon raised his head before offering his new family a welcoming smile.

"Keldeo!"

Back in the forest Cobalion and Terrakion stood where Keldeo had last been. "His trail ends here..." Terrakion looked up as he stared off into the distance. "Did he learn how to fly?"

"Don't be stupid, he was obviously taken!" Cobalion growled as he got the whiff of a human. "Fresh too..." There were several human scents but only one stood where Keldeo's trail ended.

"He was captured?" Virizion asked with a questioning stare.

"Obviously, most likely against his will too." Cobalion growled.

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's attack this human!" Terrakion angrily growled.
