Author has written 16 stories for Harry Potter, and X-Men: The Movie.
Hi!
My name is Melanie. :)
I'm an adult who enjoys getting absorbed in imaginary worlds, mostly those of my own partial making. Writing and drawing are huge hobbies of mine. Obviously the writing can be found mostly on this very site, but if you dare you could find me on Instagram at @maylaneez for some visual work. Prepare for very little fandom content and some drawn gore and such.
Philosophy and psychology are two of my main interests and the inner workings of the human mind are endlessly fascinating to me.
My favourite characters are Craig Toomey from The Langoliers, Agent Cooper from Twin Peaks, Draco Malfoy from Harry Potter and Erik Lehnsherr from X-Men.
In general, please note that attitudes expressed by characters do not necessarily reflect my own and know that I love reviews as much as the next person, I just refuse to beg for them within a story.
Personal projects:
-I'm working on Residue, multi-chapter thing that's just spilling out of me. It's inspired by IRONY STRIKES. This oneshot takes place in the same world, but it's tonally different. (Harry/Draco, Aurors, drama/horror/hurt-comfort/, features OCs)
-I am currently eleven chapters into rewriting The Muggle's Curse. (Draco-centric gen/horror/drama) It'll be pretty great!
-Convenient Tremors is under construction.
-Stains is very dear to me, I took it down in 2016 so I can clean it up both ethically and grammatically. (Draco/Ron hurt/comfort)
-There is a huge X-Men universe story that grew over multiple years that needs to be written up somehow at some point. (Magneto/Mystique AU featuring OCs)
-The occasional oneshot may seep onto the web.
There is also a collaboration in the works:
In Living Memory
I'm also writing a cluster of AU RP stories with Blanxious13 on AO3. This one is called In Living Memory and is Draco/Albus. Draco dies in the Room of Requirement and years later, Albus reaches out to him to participate in research for an essay. Warnings for death (yes really), suicide, abuse, PTSD, dissociation, respiratory issues, chronic medical situations including surgery. On a far more positive note this story features extensive mental health work, representation of different sexualities/genders, whatever the fuck Jack is, autism, and sensory overload but with magic.
The following stories are part of In Living Memory:
Potion of Intent (Essay by Draco written for Potions class in 1992, can be read independently)
Not Punishment (Set April 18 2024. Lucius and Draco have a chat in the wine cellar, CW/TW physical/mental abuse, can be read independently but shall be better in context)
