If you're seeing this author's note, you have either just read Right Beside You, followed the story in the past, or followed me as an author. Perhaps there's a fourth option I haven't foreseen! However you came by this note, the message remains the same.
The pandemic hit a lot of us hard, and over the last two years, I received a lot of really touching messages from people who had revisited this story. Nostalgia got the best of me, and I did a reread myself. I responded to some old messages I hadn't gotten around to, I thought about the future of the story I hadn't gotten around to, and I considered: what if I just rewrote The Wild Side series?
I've been working on this rewrite since March 2021, and it's been such a joy to create, and such a hard secret to keep! I had every intention of hoarding it for myself and my own sanity–then they announced the Teen Wolf movie coming next year. I took that as a sign that I was on the right path, and it was time to share this semi-new content with you.
The Wild Side (2021) is the same story with more content, some new surprises, and hopefully a lot less typos. I've grown a lot as a writer over the last eight years, and I owe so much of that to this story, its success, and all the love and support I've received from readers. Thank you so much for reading, for messaging, for checking in, or even just taking the time to click. I hope you continue on this new journey with me.
