Hello everyone, I decided to deleted blonde haired step child because the idea was stupid from the get go. Sorry if you were getting interested, but when it comes to fire emblem FanFiction, I prefer to write about Robin x Cordelia. So I decided to write up a new story involving my favorite pairing, next to robin x Sumia. So with that out of the way, this is Five years Later

It had been five years since the war with the grimleal ended. Five years since Robin defeated Grima once and for all. Five years since he returned. And five years since Anna died. Robin just sat in his office at his home, remembering his wife. His dear wife was everything to him. Granted they may have had a little disagreement here and there, but in the end, Robin loved his wife, Anna, above all else. And she did too. She may have been a merchant with a liking for gold, but she said to Robin along their wedding night that she would trade all of it for a future with him.

And it was heartbreaking when he lost her. It was just like yesterday when it happened. Robin and the shepherds were escaping from his bastard of father, Validar when he took control of the tactician. Not knowing what he was doing, Robin was forced to take the fire emblem from Chrom. But what was worse was when an enemy sniper shot Anna in the chest with a poisonous arrow. He could still remember her last words to him.

"Robin... help me!" She died in his arms after they escaped far from Plegian castle. The shepherds moarned for their friendly merchant. Robin and Morgan especially, for robin he had lost the love of his life that day, and Morgan lost her mother, a woman she couldn't for the life of her remember but she instead looked forward to making new memories. Now gone.

Robin looked over at the photo from the snap shot tome they had of all three of them in the hot realm. Robin still smiled at that memory, after the war against Valm, the shepherds took a brief vacation to the hot realm, and wanting to the preserve the moment, Anna suggested they take a picture of all three of them as a family in their swimsuits. It was the best time of Robin's life, it was just him, Anna, and Morgan, just one small family.

If only things turned out differently. Just then, Robin heard a cheerful voice call him. "Daddy, you here?"

Robin smiled at his future daughter. After Anna died, Morgan had clung in to Robin tighter than before, making sure he was okay with her. Of course it didn't last long as Morgan had long since moved out.

Getting up, Robin made his way down stairs and saw Morgan in his living room. "Hello Morgan," he said as she gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "So how's the pregnancy?"

Morgan let go and simply gave him a smile "oh I'm still early so all I got is morning sickness."

Robin still couldn't believe. Morgan had grown so much since he found her. She'd gone from a 15 year old girl who clung onto her father like no one else to a young adult woman. Though he wasn't too thrilled of her going into a relationship Inigo, even if he was his good friend's son, he still was surprised that a couple like Lon'qu and Olivia managed to raise someone like Inigo. He wasn't even too thrilled at Inigo asking for Robin's blessing to take Morgan's hand in marriage, but seeing his little girl in that wedding dress, seeing her so happy, with tears of joy in her eyes as her and Inigo had their first dance as a married couple, Robin knew she chose well for a husband.

"I still can't believe I'm gonna be a grandpa in 8 months." Said Robin. "My little girl's having a baby... before I do."

Seeing the solemn look on robin eyes made Morgan's heart ache a little. "Dad, I'm really sor-"

"No Morgan, don't apologize." Said Robin. "Just reminiscing on a lost opportunity."

"You know dad, mother would've wanted you to move on." Morgan reminded him for the umpteenth time. For the past three years, Morgan had set him up on blind dates after blind dates, trying to get Robin to find someone to settle down with. And while Robin was happy that Morgan was trying to help him find love again, no one could ever replace his lovely Anna. "I know it seems like just yesterday, but I feel like you need to get back out there again. I mean who will take care of you when your an old man."

"Morgan, I'm 26, I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna become an old man yet." Robin laughed at his daughter's comment. "After all, I still haven't forgiven you for setting me up with Kjelle. Neither has Chrom."

Morgan simply laughed at robin "I thought you two would've hit it off!" Morgan, being Morgan, thought it would be a good idea to set robin up with a friend of her's so that way he'd have a much easier time dating. The problem though was the present Kjelle had just been born a couple weeks prior to that date. Suffice it to say, it didn't go so well, and future Kjelle even said they would work better as friends.

"You really wanted to see your childhood friend as your step mother?" Robin.

"Well I don't have memories of her in my timeline, so I wouldn't have cared." Morgan rolled her eyes. "But know I can't visit you every day just to check up on you. Don't get me wrong, I love you dad, but I need you to find someone. After all, wouldn't you want a little Morgan to spoil the hell out of."

Robin then smiled at Morgan. "More than anything would I want that. But it would be perfect with Anna."

Morgan then sighed and wrapped her arms spurns robin. "Please just think about this one okay. She's pretty, she's a knight, and she has red hair. Your type."

"Yes that's what I want, another blind date with a woman with red hair. Because the last ones worked so well for me." Robin said sarcastically.

"Please dad." Morgan looked at his eyes. "For me?"

Robin then groaned in frustration. "Fine, I'll go. But please if this one doesn't go well, you need to let me pick my own dates."

"Perfect, everything's set up for tomorrow." Said Morgan. "Now let's make you some dinner, you must be hungry."

"I'm starved! Haven't had a home cooked meal in a week." Robin said as he and Morgan went to the kitchen and he sat down on the table as Morgan began to make him some dinner. Just like Anna, she was a great cook. Robin then sighed, no matter who this woman she set him up with, no one will compete with Anna.

Sitting there eating dinner with his daughter reminded Robin of the early years after the war. It was just him and Morgan. Also Cordelia. While Morgan was great company, Robin also had to thank Cordelia for helping him through his pain. He knew she was busy as always but yet she gladly visited him whenever she had the time. Robin got to thinking how the Pegasus knight was doing with her daughter.

Unfortunately for Cordelia, things haven't gone too well in the past five years for her either. While she was more than happy to visit Robin in his home and make sure he was okay, this sudden act of friendship ended up causing a rift between her and Guias. While Guias was a very understanding theif, even he had his limits. Guias had constantly accused Cordelia of caring more for Robin then for him and her spending a night sleeping o on his couch did not help things at all. They constantly fought with each other as a result, nothing was enough for her, nothing was enough for him, and it was even starting to take its toll on present Severa.

So without much of an option, the two decided to split. Guias was understandably bitter about this, but he at least stated that he would visit Severa as much as possible. Cordelia, meanwhile, was just upset. She wasn't heartbroken, like any other woman going through a divorce would be, but she was just upset for having gone through five years of a loveless marriage. The two only got together after future Severa revealed who her father was, but it was clear to many that there was no spark between them. And if there was, it was most likely one sided on Guais's part.

Future Severa, or Selena as she preferred to be called (Cordelia will never understand why she went on a trip to an out realm for five years) didn't take it so well. Selena had already accused Cordelia of loving the exalt over her own family and now she was accusing Cordelia of loving the tactician more. 'Hopefully I can raise present Severa to be less rude.' She thought to herself.

She gently tucked Severa in her bed, kissed her goodnight, and quietly slipped out of her room, sighing happily that at least mother hood was easier than expected. Granted raising a four year old on her own wasn't the ideal life for Cordelia, but she wouldn't trade her Severa for anything else in the world.

But right now, Cordelia needed to focus on something else, tomorrow her friend Sumia had set her up on a blind date with a handsome knight, said they would really hit it off. To Cordelia was nervous was an understatement as this was her first date since her divorce the previous year. To her, it didn't matter if he was handsome, all that mattered was that he was understanding to her predicament as a single mother.

But understanding as they may, no man can ever compete with Robin. Cordelia smiled as she remembered all the times she spent with Robin. After Chrom's marriage to Sully, she was devastated that she lost her chance to be with her crush. But then Robin came in, and helped her cope and realized that there are other men out there. And soon enough, Cordelia seemed to forget who Chrom was as all her love went towards Robin. And then he proposed to Anna, that wasn't a very good day for Cordelia.

In some aspects, Cordelia wanted nothing more but to be with Robin, especially since the two were single now. Maybe she should call off the date tomorrow and go see- 'NO! I can't. It just wouldn't work out!' Cordelia mentally shouted at herself. She knew that no matter how much women tried to get close to Robin, he never let them into his heart. She knew just how long his relationships lasted, as they never went past a third date.

Cordelia understood why though, Robin was still a grieving widow. But a part of her wanted to just embrace him, to coddle him, to whisper to Robin that she'll be there for him no matter what. "It just isn't meant to be." She said to herself as she got under her covers in her bed and went to sleep.

But what Cordelia didn't know was that fate seemed to have something in store for her blind date tomorrow.

Okay first chapter done. Hope you enjoyed it and as always, please leave a review. Just to let people know, I don't hate Guias, but I need him for Cordelia to have a pre existing relationship so the story can move forward. If you are a Guias fan, trust me, he gets a happy ending in this fic, I promise. No character bashing of anyone is allowed in my stories... anymore. Once again please leave a review.
