OC: These are ok, in my opinion. As long as they aren't OP or take too much story away from the main characters. I believe in giving stories a chance. However, if I see OC's put in as main characters in stories for fan fictions like Naruto or AOT, I am usually deterred from reading said fan fiction. I have a distinct dislike for Mary Sues, Gary Stu's, and I'm not fond of self inserts (At least on the surface, but I can give SI a go depending on story quality/interest).

PAIRINGS: Straight/Gay/Bi doesn't matter. I believe in infinite potential. There is no such thing as a bad pairing of a good amount of characters, in theory. It's fan fiction and people can write the story in a way that makes any pairing work. Execution wise, yes, their are such thing as bad pairings. You know, unintentionally shallow or poor character development. Or in some (many) cases, just plain weird... by the way, about infinite potential. Technically all pairings have potential but, should said potential be touched? Like, a pairing of Naruto/Gato... I've horrified you haven't I? That's good. Because thinking of such a thing should be horrifying on many levels and thus, should NEVER come to be. Even if you made severe changes to make it less weird/awful, it still shouldn't exist. And thank god it doesn't.

This also leads to the topic of HAREMS/REVERSE HAREMS (would't it still be called harem though. I just find the reverse part weird): these are ok story elements in my opinion. Harems are ridiculous and fun things to right write about. Like I said before, story writing offers infinite potential and as long as it's written well, or at the very least funny, then it's fine. That being said, I don't like harems written in a demeaning, poorly developed, and/or mean-spirited way. I avoid the simple power fantasies where the MC is simply worshiped and everyone has little to no personality. These don't matter in porn though, but even then I personally have a distaste for stuff where people are hurt/manipulated/abused in any way or flat out boring as fuck. That being said, I think they USUALLY take away the element of seriousness in a story UNLESS only person is chosen in the end... then it really adds to the seriousness. Last and ultimately, you either write a harem poorly or good. I personally think most tend to be written poorly.

Sidenote: I hate shipping wars. Ship and let ship I say. People who argue over ships, declare that a ship will or won't happen arrogantly, and/or put people down over potential ships are morons, plain and simple. It's immature. And they can help ruin a fandom's image or just outright ruin it. Ship and let ship or at the very least, don't be a fuckwit, be nice and reasonable. It should never get so serious that the fun is taken away.

LEMONS/LIMES: I don't care about those, as long as they aren't weird or take over too much of the story. Also, why do we refer to sexual scenes as citrus fruit? Someone has yet to answer this.

AU/OOC: I really like this concept. Potential to either be done well or poorly.

CROSSOVERS: I prefer stories that have more than just sending one character from a series to another, although those can be fine too.

BASHING: I prefer people don't write bashing fics, but as long as it doesn't over lap the story then whatever. I just find it lame though.

All I ask from my readers is this:

If you ever leave me a review for a story, all I ask is that you be detailed and critical. Tell me how I'm doing and how can I improve, so that I may sharpen my writing skills and increase your reading pleasure. Tell me what you disliked and liked. I don't consider negative reviews bad either, as long as their negativity is focused on the fanfic.

If you ever feel the need to stop reading my story, please tell me why.

This goes without saying, but flames are dumb and will only make me laugh dismissively. I still might address it depending on what is said, but out right cursing, ranting, and screaming usually warrants nothing from me.

I'll tell you right now, it's easier to critique something than to create something. Keep that in mind if you're the type of person who says, "This is bad, I can do do/write/make it better". If you do, make sure you back up your talk with some walk.
