1998 Forks, Washington
He had not seen his love since nineteen-thirty-three, when he fell asleep holding her, only to wake up alone in the cabin. After about seven months of her showing no signs of returning, he had become a shell of himself, not caring what happened to him. He still hunted game for his family, but he spent most of his time in the cabin, the only place that made him feel closer to her. This was their cabin, and always would be till the day he died. She had told him to find a wife, and have a family, but he only wanted her and had no plans to wed any of the women who threw themselves at him.
He had planned to live in the cabin until he died. He just didn't realize how soon death would be.
He had been hunting in the woods, planning to bring a large buck to the family's house, and maybe stay a couple of days. He had just found a large buck, had his sights on it ready to shoot, and then he heard a loud roar from his left. He didn't have to react when the bear suddenly pinned him, and then everything went dark.
The next thing he felt was burning so bad, he couldn't even think straight. That was until flashes of Hermione ran through his mind, and their last time spent together. Then he felt a calmness rushing through him. Then it was like someone woke him up from a dream, or not someone but something. It was a door creaking open from three doors down below him, that woke him.
Then he met Rosalie and the rest of the Cullens. She was like a sister to him, and Carlisle was like another father. They had been patient with him, especially when he had a few mistakes and feed on human blood. That was when he thought he was a monster, and that his Mimi, would be disappointed if she knew what he had done, so he vowed to not drink human blood, and try harder to make himself worthy of his long-lost love.
Edward had told him that it was rare, for vampires to remember anything from their mortal life, except maybe the time of their death before turning. He remembered his Mimi though, more than anyone else, and he remembered the life they would never have.
Something shattering on the marble flooring gained his attention and pulling him out of his thoughts.
Jasper was at his mate's side, while Rosalie, and Edward, turned their eyes to him, from the sofa where they were talking about the plans for their upcoming fifth wedding. He paused the game he was playing and watched as Jasper lead his mate to a seat, waiting for her to come out of her vision.
When Alice came out of her vision, her eyes locked with his, which was a little unnerving, "Who's Hermione?"
Emmett stood abruptly to his feet, making his way to the petite vampire, and knelt in front of her, "What about Hermione?"
"Chief Swan is getting a visitor," Alice answered, looking a little confused. She will be here in a couple of weeks.
"I have to go hunt," Was all the large vampire could let out, he looked towards his sister, "Come with me, Rose?"
She was the only one who knew about his time-traveling lover, and actually believed him. She kissed her mate, before going to join her brother.
She had begged Carlisle to change him because he reminded her of one of her friend's sons. When he first woke up a vampire, he had thought she was an Angel, because he had never seen anyone look so beautiful. That was before he realized his whole new family was just as beautiful, including him even in his large solid frame. He was mad at them at first for turning him without his permission, especially since death had been the only way, in which he would see his lover again. They had taken that hope from him, and that was when he drank from his first human. After his third feed, he started to realize that his lover, would not be happy to know he had taken innocent lives. So he worked hard bettering himself, to make even the thought of Hermione proud.
He was lucky for the family he had and only hoped that Carlisle would know what to do.

Two Weeks Later
Minerva smiled as she entered her refurbished quarters, with a parchment in her hands, "The Minister has found your uncle, and written him about your parents, which the old minister never did upon your parent's death. He was unaware that they had died."
"That was my fault because I didn't want the Death Eaters to come after him, so I never added him to my emergency papers." The witch looked down, as a small blush came over her cheeks, "How did you find him?"
"It turns out that you actually are a half-blood, not that it really matters child, and he's a wizard," Answered the older witch. "He very much would like you to stay with him."
"I'm having a baby though, he shouldn't have to be burdened with a niece who lied to him, and who suddenly shows up pregnant," Explained the young witch, placing a hand over her still flat stomach.
"He knows you're expecting, and wants to help you raise your baby, it will be his great-niece or nephew after all," Assured Minerva, as she pulled the young witch in for a hug. "I only wish Ron and Harry, took your pregnancy better. At least Harry had the decency to apologize for his poor reaction, but Ron has always been a boiling cauldron when it came to his temper. I am glad Mr. Weasley, and Ginny, were able to get you out of there before the young Mr. Weasley did anything worse."
"Still can't believe he slapped me," The young witch cried, as she remembered sharing the news of her pregnancy. "When will I be with my uncle?"
"Soon child," Assure the Headmistress.
She would be glad to be somewhere safe, away from any harm towards her unborn child.

A Week Later
"What seems to be the problem?"
"Hello Carlisle, this is my niece Hermione, she's a couple of months pregnant and there was-"
Hermione placed a gentle hand in her uncle's, to calm him as she turned a smile to the doctor, taken back by how beautiful he was, "I had some spotting, and wanted to make sure my baby was alright." She rubbed her small bulge.
The doctor smiled, already hearing the healthy beating of the baby's heart, as he lead the two to a room with a sonogram machine, "Let's see shall we?"
Charlie was not a very talkative man, but he loved everyone in this town, and especially his family. He was a wizard but hadn't been to the magical world, since he got a message from his niece her third year. A year before her parents must have passed away. So he just focused on his town and all those who lived within the community. That included the family of Vampires, who didn't know that he knew about them and even respected the family.
He let out a loud sigh of relief, when he heard the baby's heartbeat echo throughout the room, and saw the little one moving on the screen. He squeezed his niece's hand, "That's a good sound right?"
Dr. Cullen smiled at the Chief, before turning to look at the expecting mother, who had tears of relief, "It looks like you are about sixteen weeks, and everything is looking good. It is common for some light spotting, but you were smart to come and see, just in case."
"So has your younger son decide, on what he wants to do?" Charlie asked as he helped his niece to sit up, and place her coat on for her. He looked to the doctor.
"He is doing homeschool, he had trouble concentrating in class, so we thought it best he do school from home," Answered the blonde, as he took notes. He looked down at the young woman, "My children have been eager to meet you. The whole town is talking about the Chief having family moving in with him."
"I look forward to meeting them," Hermione smiled warmly, as they started walking down the hall, pausing before they exited, "Do you do private exams, as I am sure, you already know I am a witch. You would have known from our smell unless you've never come across witches and wizards.'
"I know your secret, just like Charlie, knows what my family is. He still makes us feel very welcomed," He rested a hand on the young woman's shoulder, smiling as he handed her his card with his other hand, "Call me, and we'll make an arrangement for you to come to my home, for your future medical needs."
"I would like to meet you before starting on my appointments, so I could explain to you the circumstances, and why the father is not a part of our lives," She brushed her hand against her cheeks, as she thought of her love, who would never know about his child.
"Alright, how about you come to my home tomorrow morning, four of my children will be in school, and you don't need to worry about my youngest. He'll probably be in his room, playing his games while you come."
"Thank you, I will be there at?" Hermione could tell that her uncle didn't know, that the vampires had been aware of him like he was of them. She smiled as he handed her a handkerchief.
Charlie smiled, he rubbed her back, as he looked at the doctor, "What time should I drop her off?"
Carlisle smiled, as he glanced at his phone, "Is nine okay?"
"That's perfect," Assured the witch, smiling back at the vampire. "I will see you then."
"I will drop her off in the morning before I go to work," Charlie offered, shaking the doctor's hand, "Thank you, Carlisle."
