An ODST fireteam is sent in response to a distress signal made by a UNSC research base. At first, there's little else besides dust and echoes, and hints of a battle long since fought- and lost. But what begins as a routine asset denial op quickly spirals into a desperate struggle for survival.

They are greeted by hostile Covenant forces all under the command of the last remaining Brute Chieftains.

While his mission is to escort the Arbiter and the Demon to their various objectives, he has yet to both fully accept Madiba's death and embrace Ludo's teachings of stoic indifference in battle.

[FIFTH INSTALLMENT] Some time after the fall of Tartarus, the Covenant Separatists are informed by the Oracle of the Demon's AI being held captive by the Gravemind. When the Flood escape to Earth, Shipmaster Rtas 'Vadum, the Arbiter, Ludo 'The Plague' Macdem and his apprentice all arrive with reinforcements to assist humanity and locate Cortana.

The year is 2551, and the Human-Covenant War rages. A lone Spartan III finds himself at the center of a conspiracy that could either destroy the Covenant from the inside or permanently cripple Humanity.
