A couple was running as fast as they could on a beach they were at while the storm raged in the back. It had caught them completely off guard as it had been sunny just a minute ago before they saw a beam resembling a rainbow strike down the ocean causing the entire planet to shake.
"Hurry up Rei. The storm is getting closer!" Takashi screamed, hoping his wife heard him through the raging winds.
The brown haired girl glared at her husband "I'm trying dammit, the wind is too strong!"
Takashi threw up his hands in exasperation before taking her hand and tugging it to drag her faster along with him. Unfortunately the winds picked up as the storm neared closer to them, decreasing their chances of escaping the storm.
A humongous lightning strike made them both flinch and stop to look over to see something that shocked their eyes completely. The sky was lit up by lightning that seemed to be coming from the bottom of the ocean. The wind started to pick up even more as rain started coming down on the area. Unknown to them, a whirlpool was forming close to their location as the lightning strikes continued to rage on.
"What the hell is happening" Rei's frustration was clearly visible by the shout that startled Takashi from his frozen state.
"We don't have any time for this, let's go!" There wasn't any disagreement on that from Rei. As mysterious as the sudden storm is, their escape is much more important.
Resuming their run, they didn't look back again as they tried to ignore the loud booms of the thunder while trying their hardest to push through the raging winds. They squeezed their eyes to make sure they could see because the sand was blocking their view by getting into their eyes. Holding their hand in front of their eyes, the couple kept pushing through to no avail.
"Why are you stopping?"
"We can't get out of here, not with this crazy wind right now. We need to find someplace to hide till it settles down."
"It's practically right next to us, we can't just hide and wait till the storm settles down. We can't sto-" Rei's rant was stopped by the thunder that struck only meters away from them. Looking towards the direction of the ocean, they were even shocked further to see what was happening in it.
"Is- is that a maelstrom?"
"Yep"
"And it's coming towards us, right?
"Mhm"
They took one look at each other before turning around and trying but failing to sprint through the harsh winds holding them back from escaping. Behind them, the maelstrom kept getting bigger and closer to them before it ultimately collapsed. A figure exploded from the center of it at high speeds crashing into the beach and skidding past the couple whose attention was instantly diverted towards the area to see what happened.
"What was that?" Rei looked at her husband who shrugged not knowing himself but saw the storm itself starting to calm down rapidly. He was about to release a sigh of relief until he heard his wife gasp causing him to look towards the area she was looking at.
"Holy shit!" A big wave of water was making its way towards them. 'Whatever crashed into the beach must have caused the shockwave and caused this' he mentally cursed their luck, just when he thought it was all over.
Rei seemed to be frozen in her place looking at the impending wave coming towards them. She was broken out of her state when Takashi called out to her.
"Brace yourself!" Was all he could say before they were hit by the wave and launched meters away towards the area where the crash had happened. A minute later, the wave had disappeared, the couple could be seen lying on the beach not far away from the crash site.
Takashi stood up coughing out water and wiped his mouth clean before taking some deep breaths to calm himself down. He let himself fall back down again on the beach before calling out "You still alive?"
No answer.
"Rei?"
After a couple of seconds he still did not get an answer, panic quickly came over his face as he stood back up and looked at his wife. He quickly moved over towards her shaking her form before she stood up the same way as him coughing out any water.
The husband released a sigh of relief seeing that helping her stand up.
"You alright?"
"Don't worry, i'm fine" she answered quickly before taking a glance towards the place where they had seen the crash happen. Takashi followed her example and also took a look before being dragged by his wife towards there.
"Come on, let's check out what that was."
"Hey, are you sure?" He asked, being reluctant.
"Don't be scared."
He reluctantly allowed her to drag him till they came across the crash site. They were not at all prepared for what they saw. It was a boy, around the age of 12 or 13 he guessed, with short spiky red hair, wearing metallic armor with chainmail underneath it. 'Are those viking runes?' he eyed the armor for a second seeing the runes go from the middle till his shoulders. Metallic braces rested on both his forearms. Finishing off his outfit, he had legplates on with greaves.
"What kind of clothes- wait can these even be considered clothes?" Rei asked, looking at her husband who seemed to be looking intently at the boy. She raised her eyebrow in curiosity before waving her hand in front of his face to get his attention.
"Huh what?"
"Why did you space out? I asked, ``Can these be considered clothes?"
"It's armor" The husband answered, still not taking his eyes off the boy. "Norse armor to be more exact, but this looks like a more advanced version of the ones I know of."
Rei looked back at the boy trusting her husband since he was a history teacher and would know about stuff like this. Crouching down she went to touch the boy and shake him awake.
"Ahh" she reeled, suddenly confusing her husband who raised an eyebrow at her sudden weird behavior.
"What's wrong?"
She pointed at the boy and answered: "My finger was shocked when I touched him."
"Shocked? As in like lightning, right?" He asked, scratching his head.
"What else, you idiot!" Smiling sheepishly at his wife, he decided to test it out for himself. Turning back to the boy, he crouched down himself and went to touch him but stopped inches away when he suddenly saw lightning course through the boy's fingers. 'Fascinating'.
"Did you see that? That's what shocked me!" Rei pointed out getting a nod from her husband who stood up and gazed towards the ocean.
"How did the kid even crash into here?" He wondered out loud getting his wife's attention.
"Maybe it was that maelstrom?" Her husband chuckled at the suggestion but stopped when he saw the serious look on her face.
"You're not being serious, are you?"
She rolled her eyes at him "You saw what he did, that lightning stuff was not normal. He didn't even look affected by it" Takashi could not refute that argument simply staying still having no idea what to do.
"What do we do now?"
Rei took another look at the boy before biting her lip in thought "Maybe, maybe we can take him with us, you know. To our home?" She half asked and half suggested to her husband.
"You want us to adopt him?" He got a nod in return making him go into his own thoughts. While they could have gone to the authorities, they living in a small town where the authorities already did not care much did not give him much hope when it came to them dropping the kid there. 'They would probably just send him to an orphanage without even trying to find out more about his situation' Taking a glance at his wife, he saw her look at him and sighed "Fine." He conceded getting a beaming smile from her.
"Good, now pick him up so we can get home quickly," Takashi frowned at her command.
He wanted to comment but she had already gone further ahead of him making him drop his shoulders in defeat. Picking the boy up with some effort because of the armor, he quickly caught up to his wife.

It was raining pretty harshly outside while a red haired boy kept turning around in his bed left to right showing a worried look on his face. A boom of thunder was heard outside while the boy flinched and kept tossing around.
It was only a seconds later that his body started giving off small flashes of lightning unknown to him.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" He woke up screaming while the thunder outside started striking everywhere. Inside the house, the red haired boy was taking deep breaths to calm himself down.
"You're still doing that, Naruto?" He flinched from the sudden voice calling his name that was given to him by his adoptive parents who had given him his name when they found him after surviving a maelstrom. Turning his head, he saw a little girl the age of 5 sitting on his desk chair looking at him.
"Alice, what are you doing here?" The little girl just smiled at him before hopping down from the chair and onto his bed.
"Mother sent me to get you since breakfast is almost ready" He took a glance at the clock to see it was indeed a bit over the time he would usually wake up at. His attention was brought back to his little sister who poked at his arm.
Raising an eyebrow at her he asked "What are you doing?"
She stopped poking his arm and looked at him for a second before continuing "There was this lightning right here when I came to wake you up but now it's gone" Naruto furrowed his brows at that.
'Again' he sighed inwardly, not knowing what to make of him constantly having to hear about thunderstorms happening whenever he got angry or had a nightmare or his lightning coursing through his arms seemingly being harmless. Looking at his hands, he saw lightning course through them before it disappeared.
"Hey, are you listening?!"
He was shaken out of it when he heard his younger sister's voice again making him look at her. "Sorry, I wasn't paying attention. What did you say?"
Pouting at her brother, Alice replied "I said mom wanted you to come downstairs. It's already late enough."
Glancing at the clock on his nightstand he saw it was half past 9 am meaning he had overslept by 1 hour.
"Right, tell her i'll be down after I shower"
"Ok" Hopping down from the bed, the little girl ran towards the door, closing it behind her as she left. The redhead in the room stared at his hands for a couple more seconds before pushing off his blankets and going to take a shower before starting off his day.

Taking off her apron, Rei took her own plate, leaving the kitchen to join her husband and daughter for breakfast. Hearing footsteps coming down the stairs, she glanced towards it seeing her eldest (adopted) son come down wearing a turtleneck with his sleeves rolled up to his elbows and his chino pants.
"Finally decided to come down" Naruto rolled his eyes at his mothers sarcastic question.
"That's what I get first thing in the morning? Not even a "Good morning"?"
Rei huffed at him "You would if you get up on time. I know you've graduated but you're not supposed to be lazing off like this you know" Naruto sighed at his mother's strictness when it came to anything related to school.
Deciding not to make his mother go on a rant about studying he just replied as they walked towards the table "Alright mom, I apologize. I just had one of those nightmares once again."
Rei stopped hearing that 'They've been getting much more frequent nowadays' It was getting concerning with how many times her son kept getting the same nightmare about the same event but different scenarios.
"Good morning Naruto" Takashi greeted his son seeing him sit down on his own chair with his wife behind him.
"Good morning" Looking down at the table, a grin grew on his face after seeing the breakfast.
"Mom's still doing these kinds of breakfast?"
"Mhm" Takashi replied "She wants to make the last day of you being here special since you're leaving for America."
Naruto was certainly not complaining about that. He always loved it when his mother made this kind of breakfast.
"Naruto" His mother called out his name getting his attention "Your nightmare, what was it this time?" Takashi perked up at the mention of nightmares as he put his phone down to focus on the conversation.
"Uhh, it's just the usual. Same people, huge castles that get destroyed and lightning strikes" Shrugging his shoulders, he filled up his plate as he continued describing his nightmare "Just like I said, the usual things I see."
Rei frowned at the answer. It was always the same answer and it irked her. It didn't exactly help that her son didn't think much of it, not to mention him moving away to another continent and country away from them which worried her even more.
"I will never understand this thing with the nightmares you get."
Gulping down his food, the redhead replied "Me neither, I just accept it as something that's a part of me I guess."
Alice decided to join in on the conversation as she voiced out "Why does the lightning not hurt you?"
Naruto paused for a second thinking about it before shrugging his shoulders. "I don't know, it's weird but in a world where you have people like Superman, I don't think a bit of lightning is that weird."
Looking at her husband, Rei commented "I don't know how to feel about you going to a country where there is a superhuman going around. I don't think it's that good of an idea."
Takashi shook his head at her "Don't look at me, it was your idea of sending him there for his studies."
"Yes but-"
"Mom" Her mouth clicked shut and she looked over towards her son "It's okay, I'll be fine. I'm excited to go there" He smiled thinking about all the new things he'd see "A whole new country to explore. So much new stuff!"
"You're not going there for a vacation buddy" His father piped in looking at him with a stern expression "You're going there for studying and you better not slack off."
Giving his parents a small pout, Naruto crossed his arms "Oh come on, I can at least explore the city there during the weekends or the country during the summer when I don't have any schoolwork."
Alice frowned hearing her brother say that "Does that mean you're not coming back to visit us?"
Rei patted her daughter on the head "Don't worry. It's us who's going to visit your brother during the summer instead of him coming to us" The little girl's eyes lit up at the prospect of visiting America.
"Yep, see another reason for me to go out there and make sure I familiarize myself with the area so I can show you guys around" The redhead tried using that little excuse to sway his parents.
"Hmmm" Takashi hummed mulling over the idea "As long as your grades are good, then it's ok with me" He switched his gaze over to his wife who nodded towards her son.
"It's the same for me" Naruto grinned widely but it deflated when his mother continued "But you'll be calling me everyday on your phone and also don't forget to not go out with any bad people or give any attention to bad girls. If you're going to…" She devolved into a speech counting off things as Naruto just nodded hoping his mother wouldn't see him not paying any attention.
"Sure mom, I'll keep all that in mind."
"You didn't keep my advice in mind when you fooled around with that girl called Ayame when you brought her home last time."
His head snapped towards her with a surprised face "Whoa hold on, how do you know about that?"
"Are you serious?" Rei shook her head "We could hear everything all the way from our room and you already know how far your room is from ours" Discreetly his father sent him a thumbs up making him nearly laugh and cause his mother to turn around to look at her husband.
"What are you all talking about?" Little innocent Alice was confused as to what her parents and older brother were going on about.
"Nothing sweetie, nothing you need to know right now" She told her daughter patting her on the head getting a disappointed look from her for not getting an answer.
"Welp. I'm gonna go and check if my luggages has everything before heading off" Taking his plate, he stood up taking his plate with him.
"Do you need me to come help you?" Looking behind him to address he mother, he replied:
"Nah, no need."

'Ughh, I didn't expect the flight to be this long' He shook his head to try and not fall asleep. His flight from Tokyo, Japan to Washington had not been a pleasant ride, especially with the crying baby that kept him awake for hours on end causing him to not get any sleep whatsoever during the flight.
Making his way through the large crowds in the airport, finally arriving at the exit and getting out of the airport inhaling the fresh air making his head clearer and lighter. Sighing a sigh of relief, he walked forwards with his luggage in hand searching for a taxi. Finding one, he walked towards the guy standing in front of the taxi car and asked.
"Hey, are you on a break or you're just searching for clients?"
The man backed off from his car and replied "Oh no I'm not on a break or anything. I could take you to where you need to go" Taking the luggage from Naruto, the taxi driver put it all in the back as Naruto hopped inside before the driver did the same, turning back to ask him where he needed to go.
Giving the man the address, the driver drove off as Naruto just started setting his new sim card for his phone and his new number.
After half an hour of driving, he arrived at the spot where he would stay for the next couple of years. Stepping outside of the car, the taxi driver took out his luggage and gave it back to him "Welcome to America, buddy" Was all he said after getting paid by Naruto and drove off.
Watching the man drive off, he turned his gaze back to his own place. It was one of the tallest buildings in the area. A modern looking building that seemed to be more on the above average pay grade. Entering the building, he went up to the reception and greeted "Hi, I'm here for the keys to my apartment."
"Your ID please."
Taking out his ID, he handed it over to the receptionist waiting patiently.
"Mister, Naruto Uzumaki?"
"Yes."
The receptionist handed his ID back to him along with some keys "Your apartment is on the ninth floor, door number 21, sir."
Taking all the items from the receptionist he nodded at him "Thank you" Turning around, he went to the elevator pressing on the button to go upwards. After a minute, the elevator doors opened revealing an empty elevator. Stepping inside, he pressed on the button for the 9th floor as the doors started closing but he heard a voice calling out.
"Wait, don't let it close!"
He pressed on the button to open the door so the person could get inside as the doors opened once again revealing a woman with shoulder length blonde hair and blue eyes wearing a black dress that hugged her figure showing off her body. His eyes lingered for a bit before going back to looking at her face that seemed grateful.
"Thank you for opening it. I'm Louise by the way" She introduced herself with a smile making Naruto smile back at her.
"No problem, I'm Naruto."
"Naruto? Sounds Japanese, are you from there by any chance?" She asked once she pressed the button for her floor and the doors closed.
"I am. I'm kind of new around here, my first day being here and all."
She smiled again "That's nice to hear, It's been awhile since there's been a new neighbour, which floor are you on?"
The elevator dinged as the doors opened showing them being on the ninth floor.
"That would be this one, the ninth."
"Well, it was nice meeting you. I'm sure we'll interact more since I'm on the tenth floor."
Nodding at her he stepped out of the elevator "Likewise" She waved to him as the door closed making him smile. 'Well she was quite hot' He thought, certainly liking America a lot so far.
Making his way towards his apartment door, he stopped at door number 21 and used his keys to open it. Closing the door behind him he decided to check out his apartment. He was in the hallway right now as he moved forwards coming across the living room. The place was already decorated with a big leather sofa set in the middle facing towards the large TV on the wall. The kitchen was not too far to the right of the living room having a kitchen island separating them. Looking towards his left, he went up the stairs leading towards another hallway with multiple doors.
Opening the first door, he was pretty impressed with what he saw 'Mom and dad weren't lying when they said they wanted all the best for me'. The entire room was decorated as well having everything he needed making him move on to check out the other rooms consisting of 2 bathrooms, a toilet, 2 other bedrooms.
Going back to the hallway to get his luggage, he decided to take a shower and call it a day since he was already dead tired from the flight and the sun was setting down.
'I'll just check the rest and the city tomorrow. College doesn't start until next week anyways' He still had an entire week to get settled in before having to attend his first day of college in a new country.
It didn't take long for him to finish his shower and change clothes before finally going to bed and falling asleep quite quickly, forgetting having to call his mother to inform her of his arrival.

Closing his apartment door, he put his keys in his pockets before taking out his headphones, putting them on before putting on some music to listen to while going to college. The campus was not far off from his apartment, meaning he could just go there on foot instead of having to spend money on a taxi or the metro.
Walking through the city, he thought about the last week he had spent discovering the place and familiarizing himself with it. It has been quite nice so far being here. The city itself was nice, the food being his favorite part so far. Popeyes being his favorite place to go to whenever he didn't have time to cook food for himself. Looking at his watch to check the time, he saw he still had about 45 minutes before he had to be present at campus.
Deciding to visit one of his new favorite places. A couple of minutes later, he arrived at a place called "China-Wok".
The bell dinged indicating a customer coming inside. The man behind the counter turned around to see who it was.
"Oh Naruto, you're here quite early."
Smiling at the old Japanese owner of the place he sat down on a stool "Yeah, I got some time before I have to be present at campus, so I thought why not get some ramen."
The man chuckled "Ramen at this point of the day eh" Shaking his head at the young adult's pout he turned around to start working on the bowl and stop his teasing "The usual, right?"
"Yes please."
"Coming right up!" The redhead just scrolled through his phone as he waited for his food to get ready. A bowl being placed in front of stopped him, making him put away his phone to see a bowl full of ramen. "1 bowl of Miso ramen with extra beef."
"Thank you!" Taking the chopsticks, he separated them as the older man leaned on the counter to talk to his customers since there were no others.
"And, are you excited for your first day of college?" Naruto gulped down his food before replying:
"I guess so. I'm not really sure what to expect but I can't say I'm not excited."
"Just make sure you don't slack off too much and you'll be all good" The owner advised him "That's how it was from my experience at least."
Eating more of his ramen, the redhead continued the conversation "You went to college here?"
"I've lived my entire life here you know" The man told the redhead, surprising him.
"You lived your entire life here" A nod was his answer "All the time in Washington, you never went to another state or on vacation to someplace else?"
"When you own a place like me, you don't really have much free time" The owner shrugged off his customer's surprise.
"How long have you been doing this again?" The owner rubbed his chin after hearing Naruto's question.
"I think it's been about 34 years."
'Wow' Naruto marveled at the man's dedication to keeping up his business. He wiped his mouth clean after finishing his owl as he stood up taking his wallet. "How much was it again?"
"Oh don't worry about that" Naruto raised a curious eyebrow at that "This one's on the house, consider it as a gift for your first day of your new life" The man smiled making Naruto grin at him.
"Are you sur-"
"Like I said, don't worry about it. I feel like you'll be important to the world in the coming years so I'll gladly put this one on the house."
Naruto just looked at him weirdly after hearing that "Uhm ok. Thank you... I guess." Taking his phone from the counter he awkwardly left the place not being sure what exactly had happened towards the end there.
'Well that was weird' He thought before shrugging it off and putting his headphones back on to continue walking to campus. It didn't take much longer for him to arrive at the place. Walking past the multiple buildings that were part of the college. Walking past the library, he was so absorbed into taking in the view of the place, he didn't see someone walking in front of him causing them to bump into each other.
Looking back in front of him he saw the girl falling, so he quickly stuck out his hand to catch her making her look up at his face.
"Hey, you alright?" The person he had bumped into was a girl who seemed to be the same age as him or maybe a year younger with pale skin, amethyst colored eyes and a hoodie covering her purple hair.
Rachel stared at the man she had bumped into, seeing lightning flash through his eyes shocking her 'Is he…'
"Yo, are you alright?" Naruto asked after a couple of seconds of her silently staring at him.
"...What are you?"
"Ok wow, that is rude" The redhead commented jokingly.
Rachel snapped out of it hearing that as she quickly righted herself up "O-oh I'm sorry" She apologized, her cheeks red with embarrassment for her slip up as she pulled her hood a bit further as if it would hide her.
Raising an eyebrow at her awkwardness he replied: "Don't sweat it. It was me who bumped into you anyway."
She did not say anything back to him as they both stood there in silence for a bit making the situation even more awkward before Naruto decided to put an end to it "So are you a student too?"
A simple nod was the answer he got.
Grinning at her he continued "Great, Me too" He extended his hand for a handshake "I'm Naruto by the way."
Glancing at the extended hang, she looked at it for a second before replying "Rachel."
Slowly retracting his hand back he thought 'No handshakes then' She suddenly turned around and started walking away from him surprising him. "Hey wait" he called out but she didn't stop making him instantly follow her.
"I feel like we got off on the wrong foot and seeing as we are probably in the same class. I thought maybe you and I could try and find our class together" He suggested making her stop in her tracks mulling over the idea, seemingly humming to herself before nodding at him.
'No talking too then' Smiling at her acceptance of his idea "Great. Let's go then!" They both walked off towards the biggest building which was the main building where their classes would take place.
"So" Naruto started off as they were walking trying to strike up a conversation with his new friend "How do you think our teacher's are gonna be like?"
"Mmm" Was the answer he got, confusing him for a second before he decided to ask another question.
"Are you from here or are you studying abroad like me?"
"Mmm" Once again he got the same answer as before making him nod to himself in acceptance.
'I guess she's not in the mood to talk'. He decided to stop trying to continue the conversation since it hadn't been working out so far. They had arrived at the building anyway as they both entered it together. 'It's packed in here' The redhead thought looking at the crowded hallway. Sighing, he looked at his friend next to him.
"Guess we'll have to get through this crowd to get to our class" He only got a nod from her in response, disappointing him slightly. Making their way through the crowds by pushing away the people who didn't really try to do anything back seeing the giant 6 ft 3 redheaded teen with Rachel silently following him. They finally arrived at their class as Naruto opened the door.
The first thing that Naruto noticed was their teacher and he was quite surprised to see her here.
"Louise?"
The mentioned woman hearing someone call her by her name turned around from looking at the computer thinking one of her colleagues needed her but did not expect the person calling out to her to be her neighbour. Standing up from her spot, she walked up to him with a smile on her face. "I did not expect you to be one of my students, Naruto."
Snapping out of his surprised phase, he chuckled "I guess there goes my chance to ask you" His flirtatious remark got the class to become silent as they looked at their teacher.
Louise was certainly not expecting that kind of comment from her neighbour. While they had talked after that meeting of theirs in the elevator and he did seem a bit of a flirt, she didn't expect him to comment that in a place like this. Her cheeks become red from the embarrassment of standing there not really knowing how to respond. She was about to respond but saw a person standing behind him.
"Naruto, you're blocking someone from entering" She pointed out as Naruto raised an eyebrow before behind him.
Stepping aside so Louise could look at Rachel, he replied: "Oh I wasn't blocking her. We got here together. She's a student too but she's not really talkative" Rachel nodded at her as if she was confirming Naruto's statement to be true.
"Right" Louise commented before turning around to go back to her desk not knowing how to really deal with her neighbour right now "You can go ahead and sit in your place since class will start in a minute. Your places are highlighted by your names on the desk."
Looking around the class for his name, he found his name quite quickly but didn't see Rachel's name close to his. He was about to make a comment but she started walking towards her desk before he could say something. Sighing at that, he decided to just sit at his desk and wait for everything to be done.
A minute later, Louise decided to start everything while Naruto looked at the seat next to him, noticing it being empty but having a name on it. 'Cassandra' as soon as he said the word inside his mind, someone knocked on the door as it opened revealing a girl with long blonde hair, electric blue eyes wearing a red shirt with blue jeans that showed off her quite developed body.
"I'm not late, am I?" she asked with a sheepish smile.
Louise shook her head "You're just on time, I was about to tell you all to introduce yourselves to your neighbours before we started. Go ahead and take your seat."
Looking around for her name, she found it next to a handsome looking boy her age with shoulder length red hair, same type of electric blue eyes as hers, a muscular body that wasn't too muscular but more on the lean side. A blue shirt under an unzipped white hoodie, casual jeans and black air forces to top it all off. All in all, he seemed like someone her type. She stopped her brief staring and walked up to her desk.
"Hi there" She greeted him with a very upbeat voice.
"Hi, Cassandra, right? I'm Naruto by the way"
Sitting down on her seat "Call me Cassie, everybody calls me that, by the way you don't really look like someone from Japan."
"Oh that," Naruto shrugged. "I get that a lot. Most people think I'm Scandinavian but I've lived with my adopted parents in Japan. Not really sure what happened to my biological parents."
"Sorry if I brought up a bad memory" She apologized for being tactless.
Waving off her apology, he replied "Don't worry about it. I don't remember anything about it anyways."
With Rachel, she was just sitting in her own seat ignoring the person next to her who tried once again to strike up a conversation with her but she didn't reply to him, making him give up. She looked for Naruto who seemed to be talking and laughing together with the blonde girl next to him.
She was surprised when she felt the same kind of vibe around her as she did with Naruto. 'They feel different yet similar to each other.'
Louise called out for everyone's attention, making them all stop their chatting to pay attention to her except for some who still tried talking to their neighbour.

1 year later
His alarm rang out making him groan in his sleep as he turned around in his bed to turn it off. Laying back on his back to stare at the ceiling and blink some of the sleep off, he thought about what they were doing today 'Trip to Metropolis. Huh, would be cool if we actually met Superman' He thought actually excited for the trip.
Kicking off his blankets, he stood up to get ready for his day and do his morning routine. An hour later, he had everything ready and stepped out of his apartment. Closing the door, he looked around, seemingly searching for something or someone before frowning as he remembered what had happened.
'They still haven't found anything about Louise.' Sighing at his habit of looking for his teacher every morning since her disappearance, he decided to head to the elevator. Normally, Louise would be waiting for him at his door so they could go to school together but over the last 2, he had been going alone.
He missed his casual flirting with her since she had stopped being shy with him. They had gotten closer to each other but unfortunately she had gone missing 2 months ago without any trace of her. Deciding not to think about sad thoughts, he quickly put on his headphones and started playing music as he headed towards campus.
Arriving at the campus, he saw some busses lined up to take other classes to their trips as he searched for his own bus.
"Naruto, over here!" Hearing someone call his name, he looked over to see Cassie waving towards him with Rachel next to her. Walking towards them, he put his headphones away.
"What took you so long, almost everyone is already here" Cassie questioned him once he got close enough while they started heading to their bus.
"Had a rough night of sleep, and I missed my first 3 alarms."
Rolling her eyes at her friend, she took both of them by the arm and dragged them towards the bus "Come on, we gotta get the backseats."
Entering the bus, they saw that thankfully the backseats were still empty as they made their way towards it.
Sitting down on their seats, they leaned into it as they sighed in comfort.
"I think I'm gonna take a nap since I'm still tired from last night," Naruto commented, suppressing a yawn.
"Alright, you can put your head on my lap so your head doesn't feel uncomfortable" Cassie suggested as she scooted a bit further away while Naruto shrugged.
"Sure."
He laid his head down on her lap, closing his eyes while Cassie absentmindedly started stroking his hair. 'I still can't believe how soft his hair is' She smiled seeing him lean more into her touch as he seemed to be dozing off already.
Rachel took a glance at them feeling a bit jealous seeing both of them like this but decided not to make a comment.

He was running as fast he could on the rainbow bridge towards the beam of the light. Taking a glance behind him while still running, he saw a gigantic fiery demon that towered above everything there, destroying the futuristic looking buildings there while fights raged on in the background. An elderly figure clad in battle armor using a spear to fight off a gigantic wolf who did not seem to back off. Suddenly a giant explosion happened in front of him making him fall down.
Looking back in front of him, he saw a gigantic snake hiss at him making his eyes widen. The snake reared its head back preparing to attack as he was frozen in shock but suddenly lightning struck the gigantic serpent causing it to hiss in pain. A bulky figure with red hair appeared in front of him holding a hammer in his hand. The man turned around, his face not being visible as the man picked him up and hugged him tightly.
He didn't know what was happening but his body hugged the man back as tight as he could. He could feel a lot of fatherly love coming from the man as his eyes started tearing up a bit. The man pulled back and held his head telling him words he couldn't hear well. He felt himself nod his head as the man gave him a large smile, getting a small one from himself.
The man pointed towards the light and told him something once again but he couldn't hear anything of it. His head automatically nodding again, the man stood up and jumped towards the giant serpent as lightning came up from the sky and struck the beast again.
His legs started running before he could think of what was going on as he got near the light. Once he was close enough, he saw two other individuals fighting against each other. One of the individuals noticed him arriving, giving the other person the opportunity to attack. A bright light came from the scepter in the man's hand. The light started getting brighter forcing him to shield his eyes and not be able to see anything. Going on instinct, he started running forwards but suddenly the ground started shaking making him lose his balance.
He felt himself get picked up by someone and tried to look who it was but couldn't see someone. Not giving it any further thought, he continued running towards the beam of light while the entire area started shaking even more as the place started crashing down causing him to lose his balance again and fall into the beam as his vision started warping.
A sweating Naruto suddenly woke up breathing heavily with wide eyes as he looked around frantically while both Rachel and Cassie looked at him startled with the sudden behavior.
"Are you alright, Naruto?" Cassie questioned in concern seeing him breathing heavily.
"You had a nightmare didn't you" Rachel stated more than she asked, making Naruto look at her as he slowly nodded still not over what he had seen in the nightmare.
'This one was different compared to the rest. Who were those people' Looking down at his hands, he was surprised to see them shaking before Rachel took his hands into hers, making him calm down slowly as he looked up to see her smiling up at him.
Seeing the others in the bus starting to stand up, the purple haired girl commented "We're here."
"Are you sure you're alright, Naruto?" Cassie questioned him again. He was about to answer her but the teacher called out for them to get off the bus. They all took their bags and got off the bus. Naruto felt a shiver go up his body from seemingly nothing freaking him out a bit.
He looked around feeling as if something was going to happen and that something was not being anything good.
"Everything ok, Naruto?" The teacher asked, seeing him acting completely different to how he normally does.
Shaking his head at his teacher the redhead frowned "No, Mr Stark, I don't feel so good. I think I'm gonna go ahead and go to our hotel and lay down."
The teacher nodded "That's ok. You do that, do you need anyone to come with you?"
"No, it's alright, I can go there on my own."
The teacher called the group to gather around him while Naruto made his way towards his 2 friends and addressed them.
"Hey" They both looked over towards him in concern "I'm gonna go to our hotel earlier, I don't really feel all that well."
"Do you want us to come with you?"
He shook his head at that "No it's fine. I'll go on my own. I'll see you both tonight" With that he started making his way towards the hotel missing the 2 girls looking at each other silently communicating as they knew something was wrong. They both made their way to the teacher to excuse themselves and started following him.
Meanwhile, the redhead was making his way towards the hotel his class was staying at all the while feeling as if something bad was going to happen. He started to get goosebumps through his body making it feel as if it was shocking him. He tried to just shake it off but had to cover his ears when suddenly a loud screeching noise came from above.
Looking upwards towards where the sound was coming from, a boom resonated throughout the city as some sort of portals suddenly started appearing while demon-like creatures came out of it making the same screeching noises he heard earlier.
"What the hell are these things" As soon as he had said that, some of the demon-like creatures focused on him while his eyes widened seeing that. They moved in quickly on him while he prepared himself to defend himself.
