RWBY - The Hero of Old

Many say that legends are stories. Something that has been passed down from generation to generation, in order in inspire others, and to blossom hope when times get challenging. However, for others, they believe that legends are real, and that with every source of legend, there has to be truth within it. For some of those that were lucky, they were able to be blessed by this legend, in different ways. [Naruto x Harem]

Please note, that Canon WILL be changed. A LOT. So, don't get all mad at me because of that. TBH, I haven't liked the way that Canon RWBY has been for a very, very long time.

NOTE - I did take a lot of inspiration, after I read the story 'Maelstrom of Remnant' by StuphinUrMuphin. I did take some elemants from that story, but I will alter, change and make them my own.

Chapter 1 - Prologue

In a rather beautiful, yet also slightly isolated part of the outskirts of Vale, there was a small group of people walking through a condensed, yet also beautiful part of a forest, one that was surrounded by large trees that almost blocked out the sunlight from even reaching the ground, and surrounded by a multitude of flowers of all different colors and shapes, and the occassional stream of water gently gliding along the dirt paths of the area, and every few feet, there were intricate carvings on stone that looked old, even without knowing the history of them.

That small group of people consisted of three girls. Two young ones, and one beautiful, mature woman that looked to be in her late twenties, nearing her early thirties, although, one could never know properly, as asking for a woman's age was rather rude.

"Mommy, why are we here?" A young, feminine voice spoke out, belonging to a young girl, and one could tell that there was confusion dancing within the undertones of her voice as she spoke.

The young girl was around seven years of age, and she stood at roughly 4'1, making her slightly taller than other girls her age, and she had bright and dazzling golden blonde hair, along with lilac eyes that were sparkling in confusion - although, they were normally sparkling with mischieviousness - and she was wearing a plain pale purple sundress that had floral patterns and she was wearing simple white shoes that had yellow linings on them.

This was Yang Xiao Long.

"Because, we are here to honour a hero. My hero, at least." Summer said after a small titter, her silver eyes positively gleaming with this natural warmth that seemed to exhude from her entire being.

Summer Rose was truly a beautiful woman. She stood at a rather modest height of 5'6. Despite her being a former huntress, she still had a rather pale complexion compared to others in the league. What truly was interesting was her hair colour, which was naturally black that faded into red at the tips, and her hair was styled in half-up/half-down style that almost made it look like a flower from a certain angle. She wore her trademarked - yes, she actually trademarked her clothing - white hooded cloak that was red underneath, and under that, she wore a black high-neck decolletage blouse with studded wristbands on the arms, a black and white overbust corset, a skirt with white tulle underneath, gray leggings, and knee-length high boots with red soles.

"A hero!?" Another young voice belonging to a girl squealed out, and Summer couldn't help but titter as she looked down, because holding her hand with a solid grip, was Ruby Rose, her daughter.

Now, Ruby always had gotten the compliment that she looked exactly like her mother, as she too had bright silver eyes, along with her black hair that naturally faded to red at the tips. However, she was a little more tanned than what Summer was, but she was just presuming that she got that from her 'father'. And, despite Ruby only being five years of age, it was already apparent that she didn't like the 'girly' clothing that Yang was wearing, as she was wearing a simple black t-shirt that had floral patterns on them, along with a pair of grayish-black knee-length shorts that had two large pockets on either side, and she was wearing simple white sneakers on her tiny feet.

Ruffling Ruby's hair, which caused her to pout as she didn't get the embarrassed squeak out of her, Summer nodded her head, "Of course, darling." She said softly, "You wouldn't be here without him." She said to her daughter.

Although she was certain that neither Yang - her step-daughter... due to... complicated reasons and mishaps - nor Ruby noticed her gently rubbing her free hand over her stomach, or more precisely, where her womb was located.

For Summer, it was such a heartbreaking thing to learn that she would be unable to have any children, even with the best medical treatments or experimental drugs or resources. There was just too much damage sustainted to her stomach and reproductive system that from all the missions, training and sparing matches in Beacon Academy, that if she were to have a child, then it would most likely kill her in the process, not only ending her life, but also the life of an unborn child.

And, Summer just couldn't deal with that, so she made a promise to herself that she would stay far away from any possible romance.

However, her shattered, and fragmented dreams of having a child to teach, and to love for, were answered, when by pure chance, she met him.

The person that healed her body, made her feel so good in doing so, almost as if whatever had entered her system was more... potent than the very aura that her own body produced.

However, she had asked this person one selfish wish. Perhaps one of the very few selfish wishes that she ever wanted to happen.

She wanted a child.

And, this person gave it to her. However, it wasn't an act that was sexual in nature. Instead, he merely placed a hand upon her womb, and she felt this... tinge of pleasure, and a surge of motherly instincts suddenly envelope her, and she could feel her own hormones go out of balance. Then, he pulled his hand away from her body, where this large - and very beautiful - mark laid upon her skin, that of a spiral intertwined within a glorious sun, and he told her that it was done. She was pregnant, before she could even thank this person, he was gone. Almost like he was never there in the first place.

At first, she thought that it was some massive dream that she experienced, but as the weeks went by, and some weird bouts of morning sickness, she found out that she was pregnant.

Then, nine months later, she gave birth to a healthy baby girl, and that was Ruby.

But then, the stories, and legends of that she was told when she was but a mere girl, she heavily believed that she met the legend, the legend from the story of 'The Hero of Old'. An unpleasant and rather... stupid name, but Summer was absolutely certain that she had met him. His looks weren't exactly clear in those stories, but when she put more research into the symbol that was on her stomach, then the pieces fell together.

That was apparently his symbol, and it had been spotted on a very few occassions before. Although, oddly enough, they were only present on the stone carvings and murals that dated back centuries, and sometimes, it was told that they were placed on women that had been blessed by him. She was one of them.

Shaking her head away from those thoughts, she discreetly brought her hand away from her womb, and laid it by her side again, before she took a deep inhale of the fresh air around her.

However, what she didn't know, was the fact that Yang did in fact notice her little action, and her lilac eyes shone with confusion, although, she didn't say anything about it, as she saw her mother's saddened expression.

Yes, Yang was NOT the biological daughter of Summer Rose. In fact, she couldn't even remember what her mother looked like. She didn't even know what her mother's name was.

All she knew was that whenever it was brought up, it was always a rather sour topic that was always changed, much to her annoyance.

"Really?" Ruby spoke out, her silver eyes looking upwards to her mother's own silver eyes.

"Indeed." Summer said, nodding her head at that. She then turned her attention towards Yang, and she immediately noticed that something was concerning her, "Is something wrong, sweetie?" She asked, her voice filled with concern.

Yang tore her gaze away from her mother, shaking her head, causing her golden-blonde locks to flail with the momentum caused by the movements, "No..." She murmured out, quickly looking away and looking at some large stones that jutted out of the ground, her eyes were scanning the intricate markings on them, even though they made very little sense to her.

Frowning lightly, Summer quickly filed this away for later, before she saw what Yang was looking at, and decided to tell her about it, since her attention was on it, "You know, experts say that these stones, and carvings are from an age long since past. Even before the Four Kingdoms were even thought of." She said to Yang, gently nudging her on the side.

Yang blinked, before turning her attention towards Summer, her head tilted to the side lightly, "Really?" She asked, almost in an unbelieving tone.

"Of course." Summer said, nodding her head, "In fact, see those little carvings of spirals and suns?" She said, pointing towards where a few small spirals and intertwined suns were carved into the stone.

Yang nodded her head, spotting them for herself.

"Well, that apparentlt, is the mark of this hero. In fact, some of the stories that I have read to you, and Ruby contained those exact symbols as well." She said, flashing a small smile towards Yang.

"Wow~" Ruby murmured out, her eyes sparkling as she dashed over towards the small little guard rail that prevented people from stepping any closer to the large stones.

"Huh..." Yang muttered out. It wasn't like it wasn't amazing, nor even pretty. She just... didn't exactly like looking at rocks and carvings that much, and history never really had a strong suit for her.

There was a comfortable silence that suddenly formed between them, after Summer managed to wrestle Ruby away from leaning too far over the railing and possibly getting hurt, they walked a for another few minutes, before they suddenly spotted something in the near distance.

It looked like a beautiful, and very ancient temple, that once again was adorned with some sort of intricate carvings that had the same spiral and sun carvings on them. But oddly enough, on these old stone temples, there were new carvings to look at, and these times, the only ones that they could point out, were carvings of what seemed to be animals... very large animals that seemed so farfetched that they couldn't be real, even in any sort of fairytale.

"Mother, it is far too hot here." A curt and almost stiff voice suddenly broke the silence that had formed in the area, causing Ruby to squeak and hide behind her mother's legs, and Yang noticed that Summer did tense up, almost like she was expecting an attack.

Turning around, they were greeted with the sight of another family, only this time, they all shared two very distinct features with them. Firstly, it was their long, white hair, which were luscious and looked silky, even from a distance, and the other distinct feature of them, was the fact that they all had icy-blue eyes that looked like they could pierce through someone.

"Mama... my legs hurt."

Summer's attention was dragged away from the older, mature woman - who looked like she did have a few bags under her eyes - and all but hiding behind the lady's legs, was a small, young girl that looked to be around Yang's age, and her pristine white hair was done up in a style that just screamed 'rich and wealthy', and she was wearing a white sundress with knee-high laced socks, and she was wearing a pair of pale blue high heels.

Why someone so young would be wearing high-heels, Summer didn't know. She didn't like them at the best of times, and she was two decades older than that small girl.

"It's alright, Weiss." The older, mature woman spoke out, and Summer could now confirm that she was the mother, "There is a bench over there that we can sit down on to rest our legs." She said, briefly pointing to a rather large bench that was by the entrance to the large, ancient looking temple.

"Oh..." The young girl, whose name was Weiss spoke out ever so eloquently.

The other girl, who looked to be a few years older than Yang, rolled her eyes, "Weiss. Proper ettiquette."

The older woman shot a rather stern look towards the girl who just spoke, "Winter." She said, "Be a bit less... stiff. This is meant to be a fun vacation."

The older child, whose name was now known to be Winter, nodded her head, although she still looked to be a bit stiff with the way she had held herself, "Alright, mother."

"Hello there~" Summer chirped out, garnering the attention of the three women before her. Of course, her sudden bout of speaking caused the younger girl - Weiss - to give a small squeak as she hid behind her mother's legs, and cautiously peak out from behind them, eyeing Summer cautiously.

"Hello." The mature woman spoke out, looking a little surprised, but she managed to hide it well, "I suppose that you are here on a vacation as well?" She said, tilting her head so she could look at Yang and Ruby.

And it seemed like Yang was sizing up Winter, who was also looking at Yang, although there was a soft scoff of annoyance, and that really bristled up Yang. So much so that she gritted her teeth.

Ruby, however, was looking at Weiss, her silver eyes shining at the girl her age.

She was so very tempted to go over to the girl, however, her own social awkwardness, along with the... icyness that was being displayed by Winter was very off-putting for her.

"Well... not really on vacation." Summer admitted, a small little blush on her face, "I just wanted to show my daughter's this beautiful temple." She added on, before looking down at Ruby, who was now clutching at her hood, "Little Ruby here loves hero's... and I thought that she would enjoy this place."

"We're from Atlas." She stated, before she gently nudged both of her children, "And, we're here because little Weiss learnt about this temple during a private tutoring lesson, and she wanted to see the real thing to herself, and I couldn't exactly leave Winter alone." She added on, before she looked over to Winter, and frowned lightly when she saw her eldest daughter looking at the blonde with a near look of disdain, "Please, don't mind her. She acts like this because it's her dream to be in the Atlesian Military, and I'm afraid that she took the films a bit too close to heart." She said, looking towards Yang.

Yang tore her attention away from Winter, and looked towards the mature beauty, "It's fine... as long as she doesn't hurt Ruby, otherwise I will not be afraid to punch her. It's my dream to become a huntress after all, and protecting my sister is what a big sister should do!"

If it was possible, Winter's icy glare seemed to become even more icy than before, and it was clear to see that she was close to snapping, especially with the way her eyebrows were twitching rapidly.

Summer looked absolutely horridied, "Yang!" She yelled out, before she frantically looked towards the older woman, "I'm so sorry!" She cried out, "Please don't take offence to that!"

The woman simply tittered, covering her mouth with her hand, her eyes gleaming in mirth, "Don't worry about it." She said, waving off Summer's frantic concerns. She then looked down towards Weiss, "Weiss, why don't you hang out with those girls?" She said, gesturing towards Yang and Ruby.

Weiss blinked a few times, quivering lightly, before she looked up towards her mother, "W-why?" She stuttered out.

The mother of Weiss and Winter merely nudged Weiss from behind her legs, "Because, this will be a great opportunity to socialise with other children your age." She said.

Weiss looked like she didn't want to do it, whether it be out of fear of leaving her mother's side, or perhaps it was for the fact that she would be socialising with complete strangers who she knew absolutely nothing about.

Seeing her daughter acting like this, she couldn't help but sigh, before she turned her attention towards Winter, "Winter, can you please stay with Weiss?" She asked her eldest daughter.

Winter finally tore away her attention away from Yang, before she looked up towards her mother.

It looked like she was about to refuse, as she was unwilling to be around Yang even further and be egged on by her attitude, however, seeing the look her mother was giving her, and for the fact that Weiss was looking at her with a look that she knew she couldn't resist, she sighed, "Fine..." She murmured out, before attempting to give her best smile - which wasn't that believable - to Weiss, "Come on, Weiss." She said, using her hand to gesture her sister towards her.

Weiss meekly nodded her head, quickly striding her way towards Winter, and clutching onto her hand like it was a lifeline, before she craned her neck upwards and gave a rather shaky nod of her head.

Seeing her sister nod her head, Winter gently gripped onto her sister's hand in a form of support, before she carefully guided her sister over towards the other younger children, although, she was going to make sure that she and Weiss stayed well away from Winter, and it seemed like that was also the case for Yang, as she was looking rather upset at the fact that Winter was also approaching, as she clutched at Ruby's arm.

Summer and the mother of Weiss and Winter both watched on as their daughter's soon disappeared a little further down the way, getting a little bit closer towards the ancient temple, and they both couldn't help but give a sigh of relief when they noticed that a fight hadn't broken out instantly.

Although, Summer also cooed at the fact that her daughter, Ruby was eagerly approaching Weiss, and looked to be chatting to her rather exciteably, which was definitely a first for her precious little seedling - a rather cute nickname in which Summer gave Ruby.

"Well... it looks like they are getting along." Summer said, breaking the small, comfortable silence that had fell between them.

"Indeed. Hopefully Winter would be able to loosen up a bit. I'm afraid that her desires to be in the Atlesian Military have changed her too much." The woman said, giving a slight frown at what her daughter was doing, and acting like.

However, the woman suddenly blinked, before she extended her hand out, "Sorry. I never introduced myself, I'm Willow Schnee." She introduced herself, "And those are my daughters, Winter and Weiss."

Summer gave a soft smile towards Willow, extending her own arm out and shaking Willow's hand, "I'm Summer Rose." She greeted to Willow, "The blonde one is Yang, and the smaller one is Ruby."

"Those are nice names." Willow couldn't help but to compliment, causing Summer to flush lightly.

"Thank you..." She murmured out, rubbing a circle in the ground with her shoe, looking mightily embarrassed. She was about to say something else, however, something caught her eye.

There was a very familiar looking marking on Willow's arm, just below her shoulder that was faintly peaking out from underneath the sleeve of her fine white dress, "Oh... where did you get that?" Summer asked, gesturing towards the marking on Willow's shoulder.

"O-oh!" Willow squeaked out, using her opposite hand to cover up the marking on her pristine skin, and tugging down the sleeve to her dress even further down, "N-nothing..." She muttered out, before going over to the bench and sitting down on it, making sure that she was looking in the direction where the children had went.

Summer frowned at that. Willow seemed... rather concerned or embarrassed by the marking.

So, trying her best to fix things, Summer went over to the bench, and standing on the opposite side of Willow, "You know... I have a marking as well." Summer stated, garnering Willow's attention, "I might be a Huntress... but it's not a battle-scar." She said, before she shifted on her feet, "Do... do you want to see it? It might make you... feel better about your marking." Summer added on, hoping that she didn't offend or even startle the woman.

Although Willow didn't give a verbal answer, she did nod her head, half of her attention still on where the children had wandered off, and half of her attention on Summer.

Quickly gazing around to make sure no-one else was around, nor was there any possibility of the children coming back to see this, Summer brought her hands down to the hem of her outfit, before lifting it up slightly, allowing her slightly chubby belly - she had gained weight after retiring from becoming a full-time huntress - and now, her marking, which was an intricate spiral pattern that was intertwined with a black sun was on display to Willow. One could say that the marking almost looked... tribal, oddly enough.

"See? I have one as well. Although... this one does mean a lot to me." Summer said, quickly admitting that she didn't find this to be a disgrace on her body, but one that she loved dearly.

At first, Willow didn't know what Summer was doing. At first, she thought that she was lifting up the hem of her outfit to flash her, which would be very unbecoming of a lady, especially in front of someone that she didn't know nor love.

However, she had to stifle a soft gasp once the marking that Summer had came into view.

'It looks... like mine.' She thought to herself, her arm coming up to rub against her shoulder, along the area in which her marking was located. Gulping lightly, Willow craned her neck upwards towards the woman that just seemed to radiate happiness, "How... how did you get it?" She asked, hoping that she didn't mind answering.

"Well..." Summer begun awkwardly, rubbing the back of her neck with a sheepish smile, "Because of the intense training, and many injuries that I sustained in my career, it unfortunately led me to be unable to have children." She told to Willow, before she gave a small, whistful smile towards the general direction in which the girls were in.

Willow all but gaped at Summer, before she blinked, remembering how closely Ruby resembled Summer, "But... isn't Ruby..." She begun awkwardly.

Summer nodded her head, all but cutting Willow off, "She is mine, yes." She said, "She is my little seedling."

"But... you just said-" Willow said, almost sounding as disbelieving as any other person would when the story of how Summer couldn't have children, yet she had a child of her own.

"I know..." Summer said, before she sighed and looked over towards the large, ancient temple, "But... I was blessed. It all started after I went home, after learning about the terrible news."

Summer Rose felt depressed.

To anyone that knew Summer Rose would be completely taken aback by the sight of her right now.

Instead of being bright and cheery, with an ever radiant smile on her face, along with her silver eyes absolutely ablaze with purity and joy, she was now filled with gloom. Her shoulders were slouched, there were large bags underneath her eyes, and her once bright silver eyes were completely dark, and almost lifeless, her face no longer held a bright smile, instead, it was now carrying a frown which seemed to be permanent, and her overall demeanor had changed heavily, almost like she was drowning in negative emotions.

The reason why she was like this?

Well, it was just because after she felt some extreme pains in her stomach and abdomen, she went to a hospital, and they did several tests on her, to try and figure out what was wrong with her, or to try and prescribe pain killers.

However, when the tests returned, Summer was given terrible news.

She couldn't have children. Well, she could. But, it would be terribly straining on her body, and it would most likely kill her in doing so.

It was explained to her that because of her extreme huntress training, along with the many injuries from spars, Grimm and possibly even genetically, her womb and her reproductive system suffered a lot of damage. A lot of damage that aura couldn't fully protect it from.

So now, Summer's dreams and hopes of one day having a child - or children - of her own were shattered.

The mental pain and depression that followed was so strong that Summer had taken up smoking, and even drinking, even though she was completely against it.

So now, here she was, in her rather modest house in which she bought with her savings from all the missions that she completed, along with a generous helping from her parents - who were living in a smaller city a few hours away from Vale - and she was gazing out the window that looked down to the park below.

Even though it was nearly night time, there were still a few children scattered about of all ages, with their parents supervising them, and she couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy as she saw the parents fussing about their children.

Something in which she could never experience.

"I wish I could have a child..." Summer murmured out, feeling fresh tears gently stream from the corner of her eyes. Sniffling once, Summer turned away from the window, and headed deeper inside the living room.

However, she was stopped when a bright flash of golden light suddenly appeared, causing her to squeak, wince and cover her eyes up, lest she be blinded, "What the!?"

A few moments later, Summer opened her eyes, and she wearily stared at what seemed to be a golden mist that was shrouding her room, lighting it up with nearly more efficency than a light bulb.

And, as her eyes got used to staring at this... amazing golden shroud, she swore that she could see a faint figure within the bright shroud, but she couldn't quite tell whether it was a man or a woman.

"I heard your wish, Summer Rose." The mist said, in a voice so captivating that all of Summer's worries seemed to just melt away.

Summer was too blown away to speak. She was too enthralled by the feeling of complete and utter warmth that she was feeling washing over her body like a large, fluffy blanket.

"I may grant you, your greatest desire." It said once again, a spectral hand forming in the mist, and she could barely see that it was glowing with a faint sheen of greenish-blye tint, "Do you trust me?" It asked.

"I... I..." Summer murmured out, her heart racing. Every single lessons about strangers or weird things asking you to trust them was raging aginst her to say no, however, her body was raging at her to say yes. She gulped, choosing to ignore her lessons, and follow her body, "I do. I trust you." She said.

The mist seemed to brighten slightly, before it inched its way closer towards Summer, and Summer clenched her eyes shut.

Then, she felt warmth explode in her body. She felt like she just came out of the finest of massage parlours and she could just feel her stress, anxiety and depression wash away like they weren't even present within her body moments ago.

As Summer was shrouded within the golden mist with gentle greenish-blue tinges, Summer was unaware of the changes being made to her body. Her reproductive system was repairing itself, and her scars and many injuries that she suffered around that area were healing rapidly. Yet, she was also completely unaware of the large marking that was slowly forming over her stomach.

"It is done..." The mist said, "Please... cherish this gift." It said, before the golden light slowly faded away, leaving Summer within the darkness of her own homes living room once again.

"Wow..." She murmured out, tracing her hands down on her body, "I feel... amazing." She said, before she yawned rather loudly, "And tired..." She added on.

With that, Summer Rose retired to her bedroom for the night, unaware that she was now pregnant with her child. A child that she could call her own, and love with all of her life.

It would be the very next morning that Summer would discover this odd new marking upon her body, and she would throw herself into research to try and find out what it meant.

"Wow..." Willow murmured out, totally taken aback by the story. She stood up, and made her way around the table to comfort Summer, who was shedding tiny tears out of the corner of her eyes as her hands trailed along the marking that was permanently upon her slightly chubby stomach.

Summer merely nodded her head, before she wrapped her arms around Willow, causing her to squeak lightly as a tint of pink found its way upon her cheeks, "From then on, I did my research, trying my very best to try and wrap my head around what this marking meant." Summer murmured out, her voice slightly muffled within the hug she was currently in, "And, after weeks, that research eventually led myself here... at the supposed resting place of 'The Hero of Old', the legend that has been passed down for generations. However, I know that this is not a legend... I believe that it is real." Summer spoke out.

Willow eventually managed to pull away from Summer's hug, shedding a few tears of her own as that story managed to worm its way into her heart and nearly melt her icy facade, "You know... I believe that I was... blessed as well." Willow said, before lifting her sleeve up and showing Summer the near identical marking that was on her shoulder, "Only... I was granted a wish that I always wanted; freedom. Freedom from my marriage with a husband who wanted nothing to do with me, and only cared about the money my family came with." Willow announced, before she sat down on the bench, with Summer following suit, before her eyes seemed to glaze over lightly as she recalled the memory like it was yesterday.

It was a serence, peaceful night in Atlas. The slight chilly air was something that people were used to, otherwise what would be the point in living in Atlas if you couldn't handle the cold?

However, despite the serene, peaceful night, Willow Schnee was not feeling at peace. Instead, she was feeling only bitterness and sorrow, which she was trying to drown out with a large amount of wine. Hoping that becoming drunk will help ease her pain.

Willow Schnee was never a massive drinker. She did enjoy the occassional glass of wine to cool down after a long, tiring day, and she tried to keep drinking to a bare minimum after she had Winter, and even more so when she had Weiss.

Yet, things had changed for the worse for Willow, especially regarding her marriage and the continuous breakdown of it.

Originally, she thought that Jacques was a great man, with an admireable drive to imrpove upon the company, and as time passed, and her father passed away thanks to cancer, and despite her trying her very best to keep the treatments up, Nicholas Schnee wanted the plug pulled on him, so he didn't have to see his daughter suffer anymore.

When she was at her lowest, Jacques was there to comfort her.

How stupid and naive had she been?

After their marriage, and especially after giving birth to two children, it was clear that Jacques never cared about her, and he hardly cared for Winter or Weiss. All he cared about was the money, and gaining control over the SDC, and his once admirable ambition turned out to be false as well.

He was probably one of the worst human beings that Willow had ever met. He abused the Faunus, he abused the poor working conditions down in the mines, and made it even more unstable to make it even more profitable with cheaper pay that would make even a homeless man cringe in disgust.

Willow tried her very best to divorce Jacques... however, she was scared. She was scared that his disgusting nature would turn even uglier, and placing her children at risk of his wrath.

If he did anything to her, she would take it on the chin. But, if he raised even a finger towards Winter or Weiss, she would never forgive herself.

So, she was all but trapped in a marriage, filled with pain, fake love and even more isolation than normal.

Thus, she resorted to drinking. No matter how dangerous it was to her body. She just wanted her pain to go away.

Shaking her head away from those thoughts, Willow sighed to herself, looking at the now empty wine glass in her hand. She looked towards the wine bottle, hoping that there was more wine within it, however, much to her annoyance, it was completely empty.

Groaning in annoyance, Willow sat up from her lounge chair, placing the wine glass onto the small table beside her, and looked up to the stary sky, where the shattered moon was most prominent in the sky.

Then, she spotted a shooting star.

Closing her eyes, she still remembered from when she was a young girl, her mother used to say that if you were lucky and you wished what your deepest, truest desire was, then you would be granted a wish from the shooting star.

There was no point in not attempting it, even though Willow knew that it was something that parents told their children to give them some hope, "I wish... I wish to get out of this marriage. I wish for myself, and my daughters to be happy once again."

After saying her little wish, Willow traced a finger down below her eyes, catching a few stray tears that fell from them, before she turned around and started heading inside the Schnee mansion. It was time to retire for the night, and at least she had a separate bedroom so she didn't have to lay in the same bed as her disgusting husband.

What she didn't know, was that her wish was going to come true when she slept.

When she will awaken in the morning, Jacques Schnee would be no more. She and her daughters will be happy once more, and all that anyone would know, was that a streak mist of golden energy would come from the mansion itself that was unidentifieable, and Willow will now have a small, intricate, almost tribal like marking upon her shoulder.

"Wow..." Summer couldn't help but repeat what Willow said to her, before she flashed a brilliant smile towards her, "I'm glad that you got out of that toxic relationship."

Willow nodded her head, probably one of hte brightest smiles that Summer had ever seen before graced her face, "It was probably one of the best moments of my life, although, the birth of my daughter's, their first steps, and their first words will never be taken away from the top positions."

Summer nodded her head. Giving birth to Ruby, who was a miracle child, and hearing her first words, along with seeing her first steps were probably the best memories that she ever had, although, it was thanks to her encounter with 'The Hero of Old' that those memories were even made in the first place.

The comfortable silence between them was suddenly shattered when Ruby's voice reached their ears.

"Mommy!" Ruby yelled out, causing Summer to leap to her feet, ready to protect the children if it was needed. She noticed that Willow did the same thing, only this time, Glyphs were forming around the nearby area.

"Yes, my little seedling?" Summer called out, her heart sinking slightly when she noticed that her daughter looked like she was about to cry.

"Weiss fell down a hole!" Ruby said, tears brimming in her silver eyes.

"What!?"

Summer took a quick glance towards Willow, and saw that she looked terribly frightened about her daughter's safety.

"I'm sorry!" Ruby cried out, "She pushed me out of the way, and I think she's hurt... badly, Yang and Winter are trying to find a way down."

"Where? Lead us to where you guys were." Summer said.

Ruby nodded her head before in a quick flash, Ruby was gone, leaving behind only rose petals that slowly melted into nothingness.

"Come on, we have no time to lose!" Summre called out to Willow.

Willow nodded her head, her high-heels taken off her feet as they would be too much of a hinderance whilst running.
