Story Start!
"Thanks, I hate it."
"Thanks, I really hate this." Naruto deadpanned in annoyance as he and Erza were of the exact same sentiment, but for very different reasons. It was several days into their mission to bring this Tsunade person back to the village, and they had hit every single hot springs across the way. "... what about you Kakashi-sensei?" Naruto asked as he sat chin deep in the water.
It was deep, and he was short.
Kakashi just had a towel wrapped around his face as he read his book in a waterproof, clear bag, sitting next to Naruto while Jiraiya was grinning, waiting for women to show up.
It was mixed bathing.
"I want to take a bath too." Erza just looked at the hot water and pouted, she was floating inside of it butt naked.
"Be thankful for the fact the pervert can't see you naked." Naruto deadpanned as he was given a completely free view of Erza's body. Her naked body inspired absolutely no sexual desires in him at all for some reason. Since she was part of his body, he guessed that made her ghost part of his spirit, and it would be weird to be turned on by your own body. What was more was that she was just very casual, and he was used to seeing her naked every time he got naked to take a bath.
Jiraiya heard that.
"I really wish I could hear Erza-san, hearing you talk to her is quite unnerving. Knowing their is a woman here that I can't see clearly." Kakashi would take a peek in Erza's direction with his sharingan every now and again. She was hazy, unclear, but he could see she had a completed hourglass figure. "... So Erza-san, are you a natural red head?" Kakashi glanced at the chunks of Naruto's hair that were scarlet red.
Kushina's hair had been very similar in color, to the point that he couldn't help but believe it was fate that Naruto became involved with another red head.
"Please remove that towel from your face, and wash your face correctly Kakashi-sensei." Erza deadpanned at Kakashi.
"Erza wants you to remove your face towel and properly wash your face."
Kakashi just smiled.
"Already washed my face, thanks for the concern... anyway, Naruto why don't we get out and go check out some popular hot spots for tourists?" Kakashi asked Naruto with a smile. "Tsunade-sama is a traveler, so those would be the best locations to start looking. While we're searching..." Kakashi stopped what he was saying.
Two more hot springs guessed appeared.
There was instant tension.
"Kekeke, no surprise to see you here Jiraiya... and would you look, Kakashi-kun is here, and with Naruto-kun."
"Orochimaru."
"Ah, Kabuto! It's been awhile!" Naruto got up out of the bath and greeted Kabuto, not even slightly recognizing the man standing next to him. Kabuto just smiled and waved towards him, while Erza took control of Naruto's legs and made him walk back into the water so that he was standing next to Kakashi.
Kakashi was instantly on alert and ready for a fight.
So was Jiraiya.
"Naruto, that man standing next to Kabuto is evil... he has the aura of a real demon, he's foul. Look at him... he didn't even wash his hair before coming into the hot springs." Erza glared at the deathly pale man, Orochimaru, who just stared directly at her as if he could see her somehow. She looked behind herself and saw that he was staring at Naruto, but she just raised an eyebrow.
Naruto sank below the water.
"What are you doing here Orochimaru... are you looking for Tsunade as well?" Jiraiya asked as he clapped his hands together.
He was ready.
"Heavens no Jiraiya, you already know I have a base in this general area... your spies inside my group are sure to have told you. I was just in the mood to enjoy a hot springs... I have no intention to fight you right now... and think of all the collateral damage a fight between the 6 of us will cause." Orocohimaru just gave a demented smile, before he calmed down as he looked towards Kakashi.
Everyone was butt naked at the moment.
"Not to mention, it would be weird to fight while we're in the nude-"
Not for Naruto.
When Kabuto said that, 30 clones of Naruto jumped out of the water all wielding two swords each, falling from the air down towards Orochimaru. Not even a shred of decency as he prepared to end the man then and there. 60 swords went flying at the man, and that would have been the start to the battle.
Would have.
A large snake came out from behind Orochimaru and the swords stabbed into the snake instead, before it disappeared in a puff of smoke. Naruto sent the swords back to storage, and the air remained tense between everyone.
"So, Sensei wants Tsunade... she's about 3 towns that direction. I have no need of her, so do with that knowledge what you will." Orochimaru just freely gave that information. He kept tabs on Tsunade so that he could visit her if he ever needed her medical aid for something. Not that he believed she would give it to him, but he kept track of her. "Now, Naruto-kun... tell me..."
"I have nothing to say to a freaky snake person!"
Naruto huffed and turned away from Orochimaru, and with that the tension in the air just seemed to vanish. The mood for everyone to fight seemed to have disappeared, and Jiraiya just got into the water and sighed. Orochimaru had brought up a good point, while the snake man himself would be happy to kill everyone in the city, he could not risk fighting Orochimaru at a dime at the moment.
"Not even if I'm willing to give up my evil ways and come back to Konoha?"
"You tried to destroy Konoha." Jiraiya knew that Orochimaru had to be joking now. The tension was back in the air, while Orochimaru just have a dark chuckle. "You hate Konoha." Jiraiya pointed out.
Orochimaru just laughed.
"On a whim, I bear no hatred to Konoha itself. I hate this stale wind the shinobi system has created, progress can't be made unless everything gets... shaken up... I want the winds of change to blow. I believe destroying Konoha would allow for that... but I'm more interested in seeing how this new wind blows." Orochimaru stated as he looked towards Naruto.
Naruto and Erza both shivered when the man licked his lips.
"... And learning every jutsu?"
"I will put my quest to become the ultimate life form on hold for... awhile until this new wind stops blowing. I've almost perfected the cloning process... if you will convince Sensei to allow me back into the village, I'll only do my experiments on clones... and Konoha's enemies." Orochimaru offered a deal to Jiraiya, with a lick of his lips.
Naruto was noticing he did that a lot.
'That is a startling good deal to have his knowledge back in Konoha, but we can't trust him.' Kakashi had his eye out the entire conversation. "You're after the Sharingan."
"I already have the Sharingan, I have many copies of it. I even implanted quite a few of them into Danzo's arm, quite convenient... he's been working with me for years. I have the Sharingan, but sadly no body that is well suited to using it. Danzo has supplied me with many Sharingan stolen from the Uchiha Massacre." Orochimaru gave that information so freely that it shocked Jiraiya, who took a literal step back.
"Danzo... what?"
"Yes, that arm he keeps hidden... it's made of the 1st Hokage's cells grown inside of one of my clones... and it has 10 Sharingan implanted in it, and he has another sharingan implanted into his right eye." Orochimaru sang like a bird with information he had sworn never to tell anyone. "He's plotting to take control of the Kyuubi one day if Naruto-kun loses control. Hashirama cells, Sharingans... one can only guess what he intents to use them for." Orochimaru tilted his head, closing an eye mockingly as if he were trying to make a guess.
"Does-"
"Sensei might be fully aware, not much escapes him." Orochimaru answered Jiraiya's question.
There was a tense silence.
"You escaped Konoha... why would you even want to come back... you experimented on people... our citizens."
"I was bored, and I experimented to make a jutsu to extend my life, so that I may master every jutsu, become the perfect being, and attain the knowledge that only a perfect beings could know. I wish to know why humans are such fragile creatures... I still don't know the answer." Orochimaru mused with a smile that showed he was genuinely curious. "I don't ever wish to die, because once I die, all my knowledge and power will be lost... if I could find a suitable vessel, and clone them... then I have no need to ever sacrifice another person for my new bodies." Orochimaru lamented.
It was a threat.
It was a threat that if they did not accept his proposal, many more people in the future would die. He was threatening that he would keep causing chaos when he could avoid it. He wanted to go back to Konoha purely because something that piqued his interest was happening. Jiraiya could tell that this was planned, Orochimaru planned to follow him and Naruto until they visited a hot springs, so that he could approach them in a location that would be impossible for them to have a fight.
"I don't like this guy." Erza frowned as she spoke.
Her and Naruto's face matched completely.
"I don't either."
"Pfffft... sorry... pfffffft." Naruto and Erza both realized something at the same time, and started to try and hold back their laughter. Naruto got everyone's attention, but he just raised his hand as if to tell them to continue.
Naruto hid half his face under the water when everyone continued to stare at him.
Orochimaru smiled.
"Konan, Pain, Itachi, Kisame, Kakuzu, Sasori, Zetsu, and Obito Uchiha... these are the members of the Akatsuki... the ones after the Tailed Beasts... I knew... I was a member of them." Orochimaru proudly explained.
"IMPOSSIBLE!"
Kakashi had an outburst.
"Very possible, I gained a lot of information when I myself was an Akatsuki member... suffice to say, I'm far more valuable to Konoha then you realize. I know that Obito Uchiha helped Itachi Uchiha wipe out the Uchiha clan, and I know about many of their plans... and their plans run counter against mine... we have the same enemy, do we not?" Orochimaru was willing to give them this information for free.
Just the last name that Orochimaru had spoken had Kakashi shaken to his core and backing away, as if out of fear and refusal to believe it.
Information.
"Sasori... master Puppeteer who destroyed a nation. Kisame, considered to be a Tailed Beast without a Tail... Kakuzu, went into battle against the 1st Hokage and lived to tell about it. Konan... my student... Itachi, the once in a generation genius of the Uchiha... those are big names." Jiraiya heard those names and knew that Orochimaru wasn't lying. He looked towards Kakashi, who was forced to realize the truth behind the words as well.
Orochimaru also chuckled.
"Not to mention, I have spies in every nation. I know the weakesses of every village. What is more..." Orochimaru clapped his hands together.
He activated a ninjutsu.
Several coffins came out of the hot springs, as if they had been summoned there. Orochimaru just smiled a darker smile as the lids to the coffins opened up.
"... Lord 1st and 2nd... and..."
"Rin Nohara... with the Three Tails sealed inside of her once more, I can sweeten the deal. Konoha will have an army of immortal undead shinobi, we will have the power to destroy any enemy that challenges us. Surely you understand Naruto-kun the value of... Naruto-kun?" Orochimaru seemed confused when Naruto stopped laughing and just scratched the back of his head in confusion.
"Three Tails?"
"He's got a point, what the hell is a Three Tails?" Erza was just as confused as Naruto was, but she could hazard a guess.
Jiraiya didn't bother answering.
Information on Danzo.
Information on the Akatsuki.
Information on the other villages.
A Jinchuriki.
The 1st and 2nd Hokage as immortal soldiers.
The promise that he would only experiment on enemies.
The fact he was fucking Orochimaru, another Sannin like himself.
"... Why?"
"Because, this loser nobody of a failure... his performance at the Chunin Exams was quite enthralling... I want to watch him either destroy this world or save it. He has so much more potential than I thought." Orochimaru stared directly at Naruto as he spoke. "... It's simple, as long as he keeps growing stronger, I stay Konoha's most loyal ally... I suspect in 3 years, at the rate he's growing... he might just be the strongest Jinchuriki... and I want to watch that progress... it seems far more interesting."
Self-interest.
He was willing to offer all of this purely out of his own self-interest, and Jiraiya could tell they could at least trust Orochimaru would be honest about his own interests.
"Rude." Erza puffed her chest out at the rude statement.
Naruto was lost.
"I'm lost." Naruto admitted to having no clue what was going on at all, and nobody was surprised by his casual admittance of these facts.
Orochimaru just smiled.
"... Deal..." Jiraiya clicked his teeth in frustration.
The deal was just too good.
The worst part was that he didn't even have the option to say no to the deal now that he knew just how much Orochimaru could do, how large his forces were and just how vast his information was. The man was dangerous, not the most powerful threat, but he was dangerous enough that he could cause no end of trouble for his village if he didn't take the deal.
Orochimaru smiled and clapped.
"Very well, Kabuto, shall we head back to Konoha, I have wonderful news for Sensei." Orochimaru's snake-like behavior made Jiraiya regret agreeing even more.
Still, he had no other choice.
"... Okay, now what was so funny?" Jiraiya asked when he heard Naruto snickering as whatever had made him laugh earlier came back to him.
"... That entire conversation was super serious and all... but he was just standing there... menacingly... and with butt naked... he didn't have a dick... it was just... smooth..." Naruto started to laugh again, unable to control himself.
Kakashi blinked.
THAT was what Naruto noticed!?
