Chapter 1: One troublesome Trigger

"I really don't know what to do, Mitsuki..." said Inko, looking at her empty plate "It's been a week now since Izuku discovered he was Quirkless, and yet he doesn't seem to get better...on the contrary, every day he seems more and more demoralized."

"Can you blame him? Excluding 'mom' and 'dad', his first word was 'hero' and he always wanted to be like All Might." said Mitsuki before moving her gaze to the room, where the child in question was watching a show dedicated to the best heroes of the last few months. The young woman had decided to come to her childhood friend for dinner to try to comfort her, as her husband and daughter were visiting relatives, but it was clear that both Inko and her son were slowly getting worse. Getting Katsuki to come might have been better, but the little shit didn't want to spend time with a Quirkless nobody.

Oh, when she returned, she would find a punishment waiting for her that would traumatize her forever.

"I know what could help you now." Mitsuki stood up, followed by her friend's confused gaze. Going momentarily into the living room, she returned shortly after with a bottle in one hand and two glasses in the other "A bit of alcohol!"

"Mitsuki!" Inko looked at her with wide eyes "I can't start drinking now!"

"So when will you start?" placing the glasses on the table, Mitsuki prepared to open the bottle of whiskey that Hizashi had brought from the United States when he returned home for Christmas "You didn't drink when your ex cheated on you, you didn't drink at your bachelorette party or even when your parents passed away in that horrible accident...trust me, you need some liquor in your body. You may hate me for a headache but it will be worth it."

Inko looked at the bottle in her friend's hands before sighing "Just a glass and then that's it."

Three bottles later, Inko was crying desperately about how she was a bad mother who couldn't even console her son. Luckily for them, the TV show was still going on and they closed the door so Izuku couldn't hear them.

"I-I c-can understand – hic! – you, my little girl is becoming un-un-unmana-oh fuck this, she's a little shit now, but I have never taught her to behave like that! Or...or at least I think..." blurred out Mitsuki looking at her empty glass with the face completely red "Geez...this glass must have a hole in it, it's always empty!"

"Maybe mine has a hole in it too – sniff – w-what can I do?"

"Get a new set of glassessss...?" Mitsuki suggested empathizing the final s.

Inko shook her head slamming her glass on the table "Nooo...n-not for me! I...I mean for Izuku...oh God my head..."

"Ooooh right – hic! – now I remember, we w-were talking about him!" Mitsuki nodded with a smile, trying to stand up "Well, my friend, I got you covered! We can h-help him! Y-You know...make him happy!"

"R-Really?"

"Sure! What...what makes children happy after a-all?"

"U-Uh...toys...?" Inko was looking at the ceiling, thinking about a good answer "C-Chocolate?"

"Almost there!" finally managing to get up, albeit with staggering legs, Mitsuki pointed a finger to Inko, more precisely pointed it to her breasts "Milk! They like milk! B-But not just any milk! No no, breast milk!"

Inko stared at her silently with one eye half-closed "You're drunk Mitsuki..."

"No no hear me out! All babies like milk! Breast milk is the best and – hic! – could make little Izuku happy again!" there was a wicked grin on her lips now and Inko was vaguely worried about it "Come on, don't tell me you don't want to see your son happy!"

Faster than Inko could have imagined, Mitsuki was able to get behind her and began to feel her breasts, purring in the process "Oh how I missed this feeling – hic! – they're as soft as when we were both in high school!" ignoring Inko's first moans, Mitsuki continued to massage her breasts "Y-You have no idea how it broke my heart knowing you weren't bi..."

"M-Mitsuki stop it, Izuku is – mmh! – in the other room!"

"Right right, so better hurry!" Mitsuki giggled, one of those laughs that drunks always make when they think something is funny but want to keep it to themselves, and with a quick movement of her hands, she lifted Inko's sweatshirt and shirt, highlighting her breasts, supported only by a simple white bra. The blonde woman stared at those two melons for a few seconds with mesmerized eyes before shaking her head "Geez...you have the same aesthetic taste as ten years ago!"

Inko wanted to reply to her words but Mitsuki immediately resumed her administration and damn if she still remembered her weak points! The two had had some love affair during high school (Inko was young and curious after all), but then Inko had met her ex-boyfriend and later Hizashi, her current husband. Of all three only Mitsuki had managed to find many of her weak points, especially in her breasts, and the fact that she still remembered them now was definitely worrying.

Her mind was so clouded between alcohol and pleasure that she didn't immediately notice the fresh air in contact with her right breast now that Mitsuki had moved her bra, before placing the empty glass a few inches from her nipple. A new jolt of pleasure brought Inko back to reality and she was shocked to see her friend milking her with one hand.

Normally some might be surprised that a non-pregnant woman could produce milk, but one of the many unsolved mysteries of the Quirks was that all women, from the age of eighteen to fifty, could freely produce breast milk even without becoming pregnant. The positive sides were not lacking, since there were also women unable to produce milk, allowing anyone to be able to breastfeed their newborn without having to rely on donkey milk or artificial products, and luckily for many, there were no 'leaks' of milk even during pregnancy. One of the biggest cons were the dozens of perverts (both male and female) who had developed an obsession with breasts and the white nectar within them.

After just a minute and a long series of 'massages', which had left Inko exhausted, Mitsuki had a glass full of milk and walked towards the living room "Izukuuuu – hic! – you still in there?"

Those words were enough to awaken Inko's maternal instinct who hastened to fix her clothes, since Mitsuki hadn't even had the decency to put her bra back in place, but when she tried to get up, her legs failed her and she was forced to lean on the table.

"Uh? Auntie Mitsuki? What is it?"

Inko's eyes widened in horror. 'Shit!'

"Izuku you seem too sad to m-me, so I decided to bring you something that will make you feel better!" said Mitsuki giggling again "Drink this, I'm sure you'll like it!"

'No no no no no no!' forcing even harder, Inko managed to stagger towards the kitchen wall and from there began to move towards the door, but when she managed to look into the living room, to her horror she realized that she was too late because Izuku was already drinking the glass full of milk. Her breast's milk!

When he was done, the child gave the glass back to Mitsuki, who asked him what it was like with a stupid smile on her face.

"It was good." said Izuku with a small smile before tilting his head "I don't know why but it seems like a familiar taste to me..."

Inko was torn between two possible reactions to those words. On the one hand she wanted to bury herself under ten meters of earth, on the other she wanted to kill her best friend and make her corpse disappear forever. Maybe she could do both...she just needed a bigger hole. Meanwhile, Mitsuki ruffled Izuku's hair before letting him watch the TV, then walking over to Inko with that goofy smile again "See~?"

"I hate you..." Inko half-glared at her, going back to the kitchen and turning on the coffee machine. Enough alcohol for that evening.

"Oh come on nothing happened! I may be drunk but I made sure there was no liquor in the glass!" Mitsuki took a seat, giggling once again "Seriously, what could possibly go wrong? He just drank some milk."

Her response came in the form of Izuku's yell "MOM!"

Now more used to standing, Inko quickly went to the living room to see what had happened to her son, with Mitsuki right behind her, but when they entered they saw Izuku standing by the sofa with a smile as big as All Might's. Looking around, Inko tried to figure out if something was broken or there was something wrong, but she saw nothing, so she gave her son a confused look "Izuku? What is it? Are you hurt perhaps?" but her son quickly shook his head without losing his smile "So why did you yell?"

Instead of answering his mother, Izuku showed her an All Might themed toy. It was a metal and plastic action figure that Inko had given him a few weeks before her and Izuku had never stopped playing with it, yet both women were confused when they saw him drop it to the ground. Their confusion quickly turned to shock when they saw Izuku extend an arm and, with a hand movement very familiar to Inko, they saw the toy begin to move before rising into the air and floating towards Izuku's hand. When she got the toy back, the child looked at them with an even bigger smile and tears in his eyes "I've a Quirk mom!"

"OH MY BABY BOY!" flying across the room, Inko closed him in a big hug with tears flowing freely from her eyes "I'm so happy for you! You have a Quirk! You can become a hero!"

Mitsuki had to wipe away some tears at the touching mom-son moment, until she went to sit on the sofa with them, congratulating Izuku "Now I am sure that even Mitsuki will not be able to tell you anything more! Why don't you try using your Quirk again?"

Nodding, Izuku looked around before setting his gaze on the nearby bookcase. Extending his right arm towards the cabinet, he tried to draw a book with his hand, being ecstatic when he saw it tremble slightly but not moving towards him. Trying again, the book shook once again but while mother and son were fully focused on the book, Mitsuki blinked a couple of times 'I'm drunk, no doubt...but am I wrong or the entire library shivered for a second?'

With a final yank from Izuku, the book came out of the library before falling to the ground, surprising him. Along with the book, however, one of the large screws used to hold the bookcase firm against the wall also fell and this confused the child even more.

"Try it again, honey, maybe you've lost focus. It often happened to me as a child." said Inko with a confident smile.

Her son did as requested but this time the book did not move an inch while the screw flew immediately into his hand. This time even Inko was quite confused by what happened and, asking him to try once again, they got the same result but when she looked at the screw in Izuku's hand, she was surprised to see that it was no longer straight, but bent in several places.

"Izuku, by any chance did you tighten the screw too hard? You didn't get hurt, did-UH!?" under the shocked eyes of Inko and Mitsuki, the screw changed shape to become a simple metal ring. Izuku gasped as the ring turned into a sphere...exactly as he had imagined. The small metal object changed shape several times until Izuku thought of a screw and it returned to its original shape.

In the silence that followed, Izuku looked at the two women with eyes sparkling with emotion while Mitsuki looked at her friend "I think it's worth taking him back to the hospital for a Quirk evaluation..."

Inko nodded with her eyes still fixed on the vine before shaking her head and smiling at her son "Tomorrow morning we will go immediately to have you evaluated, it seems that you have a different Quirk than mine."

Needless to say, Izuku couldn't sleep that night.

Inko and Mitsuki were sitting inside a doctor's office, while a female doctor was reading some medical reports. After a few minutes, she turned to the couple "So, Ms. Midoriya, correct me if I'm wrong, but you had already had your son evaluated, right?"

"Yes, but it turned out that my son was Quirkless because of the bone in his little toe..."

The doctor rolled her eyes "Another idiot. Forgive the language, but doctors who stop at that exam cannot be defined as such...that is only the first test to take, but just because it turns out negative does not mean that the patient is Quirkless." she then smiled at Inko "Your son has a strong presence of the Quirk-gene in his DNA so it goes without saying that he has a Quirk."

Mitsuki immediately passed a handkerchief to her friend, who was already about to cry "I'm..I'm so happy for him! He hasn't been able to use it once this morning and I was afraid it had all been a dream!"

Strange but true, once he woke up, Izuku was unable to move anything with his Quirk. Toys, pencils, screws, nuts, nothing at all...which led him to think it was all a cruel dream. Luckily Mitsuki had stayed asleep with them and had shown the vine he had pulled out of the wall the night before. With that evidence, Mitsuki had convinced them both to go to the hospital.

The doctor nodded but then turned serious "That's one of the things that leave me confused. You both said his power manifested itself in the form of weak telekinesis, correct?"

"Yes, my Quirk allows me to attract small objects to me and last night he used it to attract a toy to him, but when my son tried again with a book he attracted the screw set in the wall behind the book instead."

"Mh...what was the toy made of?"

Inko blinked in confusion "Plastic and metal...why?"

The doctor began to write something on a sheet of paper "There is a possibility that your son's Quirk is a mutation of your Quirk, affecting only metal objects. Now it is necessary to understand why his Quirk only showed up last night and this morning he was unable to use it. Did something happen last night? A strong trauma maybe? Or was he particularly happy? Anything could be fine, even something he has ingested."

"Something he...ingested?" repeated Inko with her face getting paler and paler.

"Yes, you must know that many Quirks are activated only by taking certain elements. We call it Trigger, even though it has also become the name of a drug used by some villains. A few days ago I visited a child whose Quirk was only activated after he ingested sugar." the doctor explained with a calm voice, before asking again "So? Did he eat somet-Ma'am...? Are you okay? You are very pale."

"Um..." the doctor looked at Mitsuki, who was scratching the back of her head "We were both drunk last night and I might...well...have convinced her to make him drink a glass of milk..."

The doctor arched an eyebrow "So? Is it a problem? I don't seem to have read that Izuku is allergic or lactose intolerant."

"It was..." Mitsuki looked at Inko for a moment before sighing "It was...breast milk..."

"..."

"..."

"Oh." a faint hint of rose was visible on the doctor's cheeks "I see...I will give orders to do some specific tests for your child and in the meantime..." opening a drawer on her desk, she pulled out a small plastic jar "Ms. Midoriya, I don't want to embarrass you, but I need a sample of your breast milk."

Inko's face flushed in an instant but she nodded anyway and, after taking the jar, headed for the private bathroom of the study.

"Do you need help, Inko?" asked Mitsuki with a chuckle, immediately raising her arms in surrender when she saw the murderous look of her friend "Just kidding!"

"Ms. Bakugo?"

"Yes?"

"I need a sample of your breast milk too."

"...what?"

An hour later, the two women were still sitting in the study, where the doctor was reading the latest results of Izuku's tests, and could not help but rub her head "Ms. Midoriya, your son is more special than what you think, you know? Your DNA is present in his DNA, albeit in small and disconnected fragments."

Mitsuki blinked "Uh? What's wrong with that? Being her son it is normal for him to have Inko's DNA."

"Let me explain it better. A child's DNA is a combination of his parents' DNA, thus allowing us to trace who his parents are. So far there are no problems, but in the last test, we revealed traces of the mother's DNA mixed with his, pure DNA of her." she showed them two drawings. In the first there were the 'spirals' universally used to represent DNA, one yellow and one cyan, connected to a green spiral "The green spiral represents your son's DNA, the yellow one for your husband and the cyan one for you. Now look at the other representation of Izuku's DNA." looking over to the other spiral, both women saw that it was mostly green with some small cyan parts "We ran more complex tests and it turned out that Izuku's original Quirk allows him to shape the form of any metal objects he comes into contact with...the telekinesis part was added to his original Quirk when he drank your breast milk."

Inko was speechless. Izuku's Quirk didn't look like a combination of Quirks at all, it looked like something completely different, yet he had inexplicably managed to get her Quirk as well. However, she noticed the doctor's expression, as if the explanation wasn't over yet.

"There is more?"

The doctor nodded "Wanting to be sure of everything, I also made Izuku drink Ms. Bakugo's breast milk." she ignored the blush on their cheeks "The result? Izuku began secreting liquid iron from the palm of his hands before molding into a metal sphere. Obviously secreting all that metal made him lose consciousness but he immediately recovered and we are keeping him under observation after making him take some energy pills."

Inko sighed in relief. The idea of her child passing out from exhaustion or...loss of iron was something she didn't like at all.

"Of course we ran DNA tests again and..." a new image, but this time the green spiral had both red and cyan parts "Ms. Bakugo's DNA has been assimilated into Izuku's, so we're one hundred percent sure your Quirks are now part of his. Lastly..." here she sighed heavily, aware that the next news was the most surreal "One of our doctors has the ability to make a fasting body. A touch of five seconds is enough, and the patient's body will change as if he has been fasting for eight hours, losing energy and so on. When Izuku tried to use his Quirk on an empty stomach, he couldn't but a sip of milk was enough to activate it..."

Inko stared at her with her mouth open "Wait, are you saying that..." but she didn't have to say anything else, as the doctor nodded.

"Yes Mrs. Midoriya. The Trigger for activating your son's Quirk is milk...specifically, breast milk."

A.N: writer's block on the other story. I wrote this thing in three hours before I went to work. ENJOY!
