Hello everyone, sorry for the long wait. I just gotten into the Persona series and I've been playing P5 Royal for a while now. Anyway, I hope enjoy the chapter.
I don't own Kamen Rider Agito and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, those belong to their creators. This is for fun, not profit.
Chapter 5: The Child of Darkness
The SOS Brigade were in their usual clubroom doing their own things as Haruhi was looking at some sites on the computer before she growled and rubbed her hands on her head which surprised Kyon and Mikuru.
"Dammit! Why hasn't anything new came up?!" Haruhi shouted as her head fell on the table. "Just when I thought things were looking up for the SOS Brigade…"
"Now, now, president, I'm sure something will come up. We just need to be patient until then." Itsuki told her before he drank some tea.
"I know but still…" Haruhi mutters before she turns at Kyon as he is drinking some tea. "Hey, Kyon, you sure you hadn't picked up anything after meeting that other Rider?"
Kyon sighed as he put down his cup.
"For the last time, no." Kyon said.
After seeing Gills for the first time, the SOS Brigade tried to search for any signs for their mysterious Kamen Rider, but so far they hadn't found anything and there hasn't been any Unknown activity lately.
"Dang it...This sucks!" Haruhi shouted as she stood up and placed her hands on the table. "We're supposed to be investigating this case and yet there's nothing to do!"
Haruhi then placed her hand on the table again as she brought her arms around it.
"Well, I know I'm enjoying the peace and quiet for a change." Kyon said as he drank his tea, but despite what he said he was still curious about Gills as well and wondered if he'll ever see him again.
(Meanwhile)
Inside of a convenience store, the cashier was scanning some items for a customer as she put them in a bag and the customer soon paid for it and received their change.
"Thank you. Please come again soon." She told him as the customer waved at her as he left with his bag in hand.
Not too long after that customer had left, another customer soon walked in front of the counter as the cashier turned to him.
It was Ryo wearing a hoodie with the hood over his head, and had brought over dozens of food boxes and other foods as he placed them on the counter along with some sleep aids.
"Oh it's you again. Getting the same stuff as always?" The cashier asked as this wasn't the first time she had seen him here and Ryo nodded.
He's been visiting this store for a few weeks now, he basically became a regular here.
"Yeah…Haven't been sleeping well lately." Ryo mutters as he rubs his fingers on his eyes.
"Then you should probably go see a doctor about that." The cashier suggested as she began to scan his items.
"I know, I know...I just have a lot on my plate right now." Ryo said.
"Hmmm...Well, I hope you'll deal with them soon." The cashier told him as she bagged his items and Ryo soon placed the money on the counter.
"You can keep the change." Ryo told her as he picked up his bag and left the store.
"Have a good day."
As Ryo was walking away from the store and heading to where he was staying, the boy with black clothes was watching from afar inside of a dark alleyway.
The boy was able to sense something inside of Ryo, which would pose a problem for him but it might work to his advantage.
The boy then senses something approaching behind him as he turns around and sees it was two Lords.
They were Jaguar Lords.
One was colored red with a black scarf. This is Pantheras Rubeo.
The other was colored in pale blue with a white scarf. This is Pantheras Cyaneus.
As the two Jaguar Lords were growling at the boy, he calmly stared at them before they kneel before him.
"You two, keep a close eye on that man. If he proves to be a threat, execute him." The boy told the Lords and they nodded in acknowledgement before they stood up and left.
The boy then turns back to Ryo.
"Now then, will you prove to be a threat or an asset?" The boy said.
Ryo then begins to notice that someone is staring at him before he looks and sees that the boy is now gone. Ryo blinks in confusion before he shakes his head and leaves.

As the song is starting, in a dark space the Seed of Agito was giving off a bright light.
(Yami no naka mitsumeteru...) (Then we see Agito riding on his Machine Tornado driving through a waterfall of rain. Now Agito is seen riding on a race track. Then it switches to Kyon and the SOS Brigade having some fun in the club room.)
(Te wo nobashi...) (Then we see Haruhi laughing. Then it changes to Haruhi and the SOS Brigade on the race track as they follow Kyon who was walking ahead of them, Kyon was replaced with Agito on his bike driving by them as they watch him leave.)
(Tsukamitore Kimi motomeru mono) (Then we see G3 riding on his Guard Chaser racing down the track. We now see Makoto running on a treadmill, and then we see Sumiko giving an explanation for the G3 System. We now see the G3 Team on the race track as Makoto was running forward.)
(Mata dare ka ga heiki na kao wo shite yume da to waratte mo...) (The manual for the G3 System is seen as pages are turning. Then we switch back to the track as G3 on his bike drives past his teammates. Then we switched to Gills riding on his Gills Raider as he was driving forward. Then we see Ryo in a hospital room doing physical therapy with a nurse helping him, before he is now seen standing in the stadium of the track. We see a resignation paper being rained on before we see Gills on his bike driving by the stadium as he raced forward.)
(Ready to Go, Count ZERO Kamen Rider AGITO) (We now see Agito, G3, and Gills racing each other with Agito in the lead.)
(Kimi no mama de kawareba ii) (Then the three Riders were racing towards the finish line before G3 stole the lead. Then we see Makoto drinking a bottle of water after completing his training before he looks up.)
(Here we go, Count ZERO Kamen Raidaa AGITO) (Back to the race track Gills had stolen the lead, before Ryo in a dark alleyway as he looked at his hand. Then back to the race track Agito is now in the lead again, before it changes to Kyon and the Brigade looking at the starry night together.)
(Ima kimi ga inai to...Get on!) (Haruhi had a sad look on her face as she was looking at Kyon, before it changed back to the race track as Agito, G3, and Gills had crossed the finish line. As Agito was driving forward the title screen soon appeared.)
It was another school day for Kyon and his friends, the SOS, except for Haruhi were in their clubroom once again after classes as they were doing their own thing as Kyon sips some tea that Mikuru had prepared for him and the others.
Everything is surprisingly peaceful...until now.
"Hey guys!" Haruhi shouted as she opened the door and Kyon almost choked on his tea. "I think I may have found something!"
"At least don't shout when I'm drinking tea!" Kyon said.
Haruhi was on the computer as Kyon, Mikuru, and Itsuki were gathered behind her as she brought out the blog she had found. Kyon reads the title of it.
"The mysterious boy of the shadows? Is that it?" Kyon asked.
"Yeah!" Haruhi nodded as she began to explain to them. "They said this kid only appears in certain shadows in the city, and the people who thought they saw him only had small glimpses of him. But the one thing they know for sure is that he's around 10 years old and always wears black clothing."
"And let me guess, we're going to investigate this case, right?" Kyon asked.
"You bet we are!" Haruhi nodded in excitement as Kyon sighed and placed a hand on his head.
(Meanwhile)
Makoto and Akira had gotten a call from HQ saying that there was an incident in a lab. They soon arrived and were speaking with some of the scientists.
"Your head research disappeared?" Makoto asked and the scientist nodded.
"That's right. She went missing a few days ago, we've tried contacting her but she hasn't messaged back."
"Well that's certainly strange." Akira said. "You wouldn't happen to know the cause of her disappearance?"
The scientist placed a hand on his chin as he thought about it.
"Hmm…" He then remembers something. "Wait...In fact we did notice a change in her behavior."
"Like what?" Makoto asked.
"It's best that you see it for yourselves." He told them.
The scientist soon brings the G3 detectives to another room, and that's when they saw a strange device standing on a platform.
It resembles a plus symbol with four pillars pointed forward on the corners of it, and in the center were several files and the top two pillars were opened and standing out of them were two stone pillars that almost resembled a DNA pattern.
Both Makoto and Akira were amazed by this device.
"W-What is this?" Makoto asked.
"That's the thing. We're not entirely sure ourselves." The scientist answered before he began to explain. "It was found on the Okinawa beachside by some locals. After the government had confiscated it they sent it here for us to study it. After months of researching it, we definitely tell it wasn't made by any known material on Earth. And it was made over 30,000 years ago."
"Okay, but what does this have to do with the head researcher going missing?" Akira asked.
"Well, I'm not sure how but she was able to tell it was some sort of puzzle of some sort." He answered.
"A puzzle to what exactly?" Makoto asked.
"I don't know. She never told me what was inside, and that she was still studying it. But that's when I noticed the change in her. The more she studied this object, the more she became obsessed with solving it's puzzle. And after she cracked it she secluded herself in her lab, and never let anyone inside. It was almost like, whatever was inside was manipulating her almost like a ghost possessing her."
Hearing that made both Makoto and Akira turn at each other as this only gave them more questions than answers.
After hearing what they needed to know both Makoto and Akira had left the lab as they walked to their car.
"So Akira, what did you think about this?" Makoto asked his partner.
"It all, honestly. It seems a little far-fetched. I mean a creature living inside of that thing for over 30,000 years. It just seems impossible to me." Akira told him.
"But yet, we live in a world where monsters are real and I fought them in a mechanized suit with prototype weapons." Makoto pointed out.
"Point. But still, this only gave us more questions than answers. Especially since, we're not sure if the Unknowns are behind this." Akira said as they reached their car.
"That's true. But it's all the more reason we need to look into this." Makoto said as he entered the car.
"Guess I can't argue with that." Akira said as she entered the car as well.
(Meanwhile)
In their search for the 'Boy of the shadows', the SOS Brigade had visited the man who first saw him as they asked about the boy.
"Oh yeah, that kid." He said as he was looking at a picture of the Boy of the shadows.
"Great! So you remember seeing him, right?" Haruhi asked in excitement.
"Well...That's the thing…" He said as he rubbed the back of his head. "I do remember seeing him, but at the same time I don't."
"What do you mean?" Kyon asked.
"When I was on my way home after hanging out with my friends, I only got a glimpse of the boy. But for some strange reason, he was all blurry almost like I was looking at static from a TV. But don't take it seriously, it must be because I had too much to drink."
"Oh I see." Haruhi said as she took some notes of this info and Kyon looked at her with a narrow look.
'Didn't he say not to take this seriously?' Kyon thought.
"But I think I did see his face…" The man told him and Haruhi was excited to hear that.
"Oh really?! What did he look like?!" She asked.
"Well...It was only for a quick glance...but there was no doubt in my mind that he was beautiful, to a point I almost mistook him for a girl. In fact, if I was the same age as him I would've fallen in love with him at first sight."
"Huh? So he's a pretty boy. Thanks, that would be a great help." Haruhi said as she took notes of this info as well.
'Will it…?' Kyon thought.
After getting the info they needed from that witness, Haruhi was reviewing the info.
"Okay, so our boy in the shadows wears black clothes and is a pretty boy. Not only that, his appearance will be a little blurry." Haruhi said.
"So what are your thoughts about this, Haruhi?" Kyona asked.
"Well, it's most likely that our shadow boy has some supernatural powers that hide his appearance. And he most likely used to travel between shadows." Haruhi theroized.
"Yeah, I sort of figured that out. But how will this help us find him?" Kyon asked.
"No clue! But I'm sure we'll find more info in due time." Haruhi answered with a smile. Kyon sighs as he places a hand on his face.
"Why am I not surprised?" Kyon mutters.
Then someone bumps into Kyon as he turns to him and it was Ryo wearing his hood and wasn't able to see his face.
"S-Sorry about that." Ryo told him.
"No, it's alright…?" Kyon said as he felt something from Ryo and for some strange reason he felt like he had seen him before. Ryo notices that.
"Is something wrong?" Ryo asked.
"No...It's just, have we met before?" Kyon asked and Ryo thought about it as he stared at Kyon.
"No...Can't say that I have." Ryo said as he left Kyon and his friends watched him leave.
"Man, I wonder what was up with that guy?" Haruhi said.
"I'm not sure myself." Kyon said before he felt something that wasn't natural that was nearby, and his friends noticed that look on his face.
"Kyon, is something wrong?" Haruhi asked.
"Th-There's something here…" Kyon said as he closed his eyes and focused on that sixth sense of his and that's when he saw two Jaguar Lords hiding in an alleyway spying on Ryo as Kyon opened his eyes. "It's them!"
"Them who?" Haruhi asked but Kyon didn't answer as he ran to where those Lords were. "Hey, Kyon, wait for us!"
Haruhi and the others followed Kyon.
The Jaguar Lords continued to follow Ryo to spy on him following the Boy's orders, as Ryo was crossing the street the two Lords were about to move but stopped as they heard a pulsing sound behind them.
The two Lords turned around and saw Kyon wearing his Alter Ring as he was walking towards them.
As Kyon stops he soon strikes his pose.
"Henshin!" Kyon said as he pressed on the buttons on his belt.
Kyon transforms into Agito and the two Jaguar Lords growl at him.
"Agito!" The Lords said as Agito assumed his combat stance.
The two Jaguar Lords charge at Agito as Pantheras Rubeo attacks first as it throws a punch at him, and Agito parries his attacks and lands a kick on its legs sending Rubeo rolling on the ground.
Agito soon saw Pantheras Cyaneus punch at him two times and Agito dodged his attacks and Agito soon landed a few skillful punches on Cyaneus' chest which forced the Jaguar Lord to stumble back to the other Lord as it stood back up.
The two Jaguar Lords glare at Agito as he once again assumes his stance as he faces them, and the two Lords roar as they charge at him and attack him as Agito dodge and parry their attacks.
The other members of the SOS Brigade soon arrive as they hide behind some cover as they watch Agito's battle against the two Jaguar Lords.
"Hell yes! We made it to the best part!" Haruhi said in excitement.
"President, please be quiet." Itsuki told her.
The two Jaguar Lords soon bring out their swords, Cyaneus a single one while Rubeo wields two swords.
Agito soon pressed on the right button on his belt and soon brought out his Flame Saber and changed into his Flame Form.
The two Lords charge at Agito to attack with their swords, Cyaneus attacks first slashing with both of his swords and Agito parries with of its slashes with his Saber and slashes on the Jaguar Lord as he moves past it.
Rubeo attacks next as it slashes at Agito with his own sword, and Agito parries it and slashes on the Lord two times sending the Jaguar Lord rolling on the ground.
The Pantheras Rubeo soon stood back up as it glared at Agito, and Agito soon noticed that Pantheras Cyaneus had stood back up as well as both Jaguar Lords stood in both his front and back.
"Dammit...That just has to be cheating…" Haruhi grumbles on how unfair the Lords are fighting against Agito.
As Agito was ready for both Lords' next attack a flash of light had appeared above them which blinded both Agito and his friends.
The two Jaguar Lords were confused on what's going on, before they saw a familiar figure standing on top of a building looking down at them. In seeing that figure, the two Lords use this chance to retreat.
As the light had died down Agito and his friends saw that the Lords were now gone which left them confused.
"What the…? They just left?" Haruhi said as she and the others walked out of their hiding spot and Agito changed back into his civilian form.
"Yeah. That was definitely odd." Kyon said before he looked up at a nearby building and saw the figure was nowhere to be seen. Kyon wasn't sure why, but he could've sworn he had sensed something standing on top of that building that felt different from the Lords but yet felt familiar to him.
After the two Jaguar Lords had managed to run away from Agito, they soon stopped on top of a tall building in a far distance from him.
The two Jaguar Lords were growling in frustration that they were forced to run away from their sworn enemy. But then they felt a familiar presence behind them, they turned and saw it was the Boy and he didn't have a pleased look on his face.
The two Jaguar Lords quickly kneel before him but they are still in fear of what the Boy will do to them.
"I thought I told you to keep an eye on that man, not to engage in a fight." The Boy told the two Lords and they were even more frightened. "But, I didn't foresee that Agito would interfere with you. So just this once I'm willing to let this go."
The two Jaguar Lords were relieved to hear that.
"But make no mistake. You will not allow this to happen again, understood?" The Boy asked and the two Lords nodded. "Good. Now continue your task."
The Jaguar Lords nodded once again as they left.
Now that the Boy was left alone, he soon remembers seeing Agito and one of his friends, Haruhi. There was something about that girl that felt off to him, like she was something beyond human nature.
"It seems as though I have another target of interest." The Boy said.
(Later, at night)
After his first transformation and battle as Gills, Ryo had moved out of his old apartment and entered a new one which was a cheap and small room, but it was perfect for him.
He was sleeping on the futon but was sweating as he was tossing and turning as he could see flashes of the Lords attacking people and saw himself as Gills roaring.
Ryo screams as he wakes up and sits up. He then begins to pant from seeing those flashes as he places a hand on his face.
"Dammit...What is happening to me?" Ryo mutters to himself.
Unknown to him is that the boy with dark clothes was spying on him through the outside of the room's window, and the boy was left curious about Ryo's reaction as he took several sleep pills and tried to go back to sleep.
"Most interesting." The boy said as he left.
(Next day)
It was now morning. Ryo had left his apartment and headed to his usual store for food and sleep aids once again.
But then the two Jaguar Lords who were spying on him, had appeared as they jumped and landed in front of Ryo.
Ryo was surprised to see the Lords as they slowly approached him. As they were, Ryo could feel his body shaking as it wanted to fight them, but he was able to fight through that feeling and run away and the Jaguar Lords chase after him.
(Meanwhile)
Kyon and Haruhi were seen standing in a park as they were waiting for their friends as they were going to investigate the Boy in the shadows once again, but they were waiting.
Haruhi had her arms folded as she tapped her finger on her arm while Kyon was leaning on his bike.
"They're late. They should be here by now." Haruhi said.
"Just be patient. It is a virtue afterall." Kyon told her.
"I know that but still…" Haruhi mutters.
Kyon then felt a slight headache as he could see the two Jaguar Lords as they were chasing after Ryo, and Haruhi soon noticed Kyon having his headache.
"Kyon, what's wrong?" Haruhi asked.
"It's those two Unknowns...They're back…" Kyon said.
"Really? Where?!" Haruhi asked in excitement.
Kyon didn't answer as he quickly got on his bike and put on his helmet as he drove out of the park and heading to where the two Jaguar Lords are, and leaving Haurhi behind which was much to her dismay.
"Hey, Kyon!" Haruhi calls out but is ignored and she pouts as she folded her arms. "Dang it...Wish I had a bike right now…"
As Kyon was driving the Alter Ring soon appeared on his waist.
"Henshin!" Kyon shouted as he pressed on the Ring's buttons.
Both Kyon and his bike change into Agito and the Machine Tornado respectively as Agito speeds up to where those Lords are.
Ryo continues to run away from the Jaguar Lords as he soon arrives in a large scrapyard as he arrives inside of an opened building, one of the Jaguar Lords jumps and lands in front of him.
Ryo was about to turn around and ran away but then the other Lord appeared and got in his way.
The Jaguar Lords soon bring out their swords as they slowly approach Ryo. As they were walking towards him, Ryo was panting as he felt his heart pounding and his body shaking as he placed a hand on his chest and he could hear his other self roaring, like he was telling him to let him out and fight.
"No…" Ryo mutters as he struggles to fight it as he falls on his hand and knees.
Ryo then raised his head as the Jaguar Lord in front of him raised its sword and was going to swing it down at him…
*VROOM*
Agito soon arrived as he smashes onto the Lords using his bike while safely missing Ryo as the Lords fall to the ground.
Agito spun as he stopped his bike and soon turned to Ryo as he was looking up at the Rider.
"Are you alright?" Agito asked, but Ryo didn't answer and he wasn't sure why he knew who he was.
"A-Agi…" Ryo mutters before both him and Agito soon notice the Lords had stood back up as they glare at Agito.
Agito soon stood off his bike and assumed his combat stance and then ran to the side and the two Jaguar Lords followed him.
Agito and the two Jaguar were now outside as Pantheras Rubeo attacks first with one of its swords and Agito blocks it with his arm guards and pushes the sword away as he lands a spin kick on the Lord's head sending it rolling on the ground.
Agito then sees Pantheras Cyaneus is attacking next as it swings its sword at him, and Agito dodges its attacks and lands a powerful punch on the Lord's chest forcing it to stumble back.
Agito then notices that Pantheras Rubeo is now back up as it jumps at him to attack once again, but the Jaguar Lord is soon fired upon as it falls to the ground.
Agito soon saw that it was G3 riding on his bike and armed with his gun as he had arrived and soon stopped his bike.
"Looks like you need a hand." G3 said as he stood off his bike and faced Rubeo and Agito soon faced Cyaneus as the Lord glared at him and sharpened his swords against each other.
Agito soon pressed on his belt's right button and brought out his Flame Saber and changed into his Flame Form.
Then the two Riders fight against the Jaguar Lords respectively.
Agito clashes swords against Cyaneus while G3 fires at Rubeo with his gun as the Jaguar Lord cuts down his bullets as he charges at him and slashes at G3 a few times as he dodge its attacks.
As Agito and G3 continue to battle against the Jaguar Lords, Ryo now back on his feet has walked out of the opened building as he leans on a pile of scarp.
Ryo watches the Riders' battle as he was panting as his eyes were mostly set on Agito and the two Jaguar Lords and his vision begins to red as he begins to growl and clench his teeth as he soon shouted…
"Henshin!" Ryo transforms into Gills as he roars.
As G3 dodges another slash Rubeo, he was going to fire at the Jaguar but then everyone soon heard roaring and saw it was Gills as he charged at Rubeo and jumped and grabbed onto the Jaguar as they both rolled on the ground.
Rubeo was able to push Gills off of him as both Lord and Rider stood up and faced each other as G3 and Agito were surprised to see Gills.
"What the...Who or what is that?" G3 said as he looked at Gills.
Gills roared as he charged at Rubeo and the Jaguar Lord did the same as they engaged in combat.
"Not sure what's going on here, but I'll take it." G3 said as he fired on Cyaneus stunning it long enough for Agito to slash him.
Both Agito and G3 stood side-by-side as they faced Cyaneus as they soon charged at the Jaguar Lord.
G3 attacks Cyaneus first as he fired at the Jaguar Lord with his gun and Cyaneus deflected his gunfire before he notice Agito was now in front of him as he slashes on the Lord as he runs past it and turns around and slashes on the Jaguar Lord which sends it rolling on the ground.
As Cyaneus stood back up, it felt a tap on its shoulder and the Jaguar Lord turns around and saw it was G3 before he lands a few good punches on the Lord and finished with an uppercut which sends the Jaguar Lord off its feet and was sent flying a few feet as it falls to the ground.
Cyaneus soon stood up as Agito stood in front of the Jaguar Lord before the crest on his helmet and sword extended.
Cyaneus roared as it charged at Agito and he did the same as both Lord and Rider slash at each other and Agito's attack landed first as he slashed through the Jaguar Lord as it ran past him before it exploded and Agito lowered his sword.
Gills landed a few powerful and wild-like attacks on Rubeo which forced the Jaguar Lord to stumble. Rubeo slashes at Gills but the latter catches the Lord's sword and pulls it out of its hands and slashes on the Jaguar Lord with its own sword before stabbing it into its chest.
Rubeo groans as it stumbles away from Gills as he strikes a martial arts stance as the blades on his heels grow and extend.
Gills soon jumps at Rubeo and stabs his blade into Rubeo's neck as it groans in pain before Gills kicks the Jaguar Lord away as it falls to the ground and explodes.
With the battle now over, Gills lowered his head and Agito changed back into his Ground Form as both him and G3 turned to Gills.
"Hey," G3 said as he approached Gills and Agito followed him. "Thank you for the help. But who are you?"
Gills was left panting as he raised his head as Agito and G3 slowly approached him, and then Gills roared as he charged at the two Riders and attacked them as they dodge his attacks.
"What are you doing?" G3 asked.
Gills roared as he charged at Agito to attack him once again, and Agito dodged his attack, and then Gills set his sights on G3 as he rushed to attack him.
Gills attacks with his arms a few times and G3 manages to dodge and block his attacks before he counterattacks by punching back at Gills, but Gills easily catches his punch much to G3's shock.
G3 struggles to pull his arm free, but Gills slowly begins to twist his arm around before he throws G3 to a nearby wall as he crashes into and falls to the ground.
As G3 slowly sits up, Gills rushes to him and begins relentless attacks with his hands. G3 blocked his attacks with his arms, but Gills had dealt major damage on his armor until he eventually pushed G3's arms aside and attacked on his helmet, and after three attacks Gills had broken G3's helmet revealing a third of his face as he slightly opened his eye at Gills.
Gills was about to attack G3 once again but Agito stops him by grabbing his wrist as Gills turns at him.
"That's enough!" Agito told him but Gills just roared as he swung his other arm at Agito and he dodged it by jumping away from Gills.
Agito and Gills soon faced each other as Gills was growling at Agito, and Agito soon assumed his combat stance and Gills charged at him to battle him...
