April 19, 2009 UPDATE: When you read the things about moi you will see I had promised to update on or before my last birthday - you will also note that did not happen. I had been spending every night awake and on-call for my aunt and grandmother. My aunt was exhausted from caring for granny and had at long last conceded the need for someone elses assistance. Trust me there is nothing on at three in the morning and at four am the infomercials will just about drive a person insane. HGTV however has their programming on a six hour time loop and infomercials on the music video stations should just be outlawed entirely. I found myself living in the twilight of the television screen and glow of my laptop during those long nights. It was only the world of fanfic that provided me with a sense of escape and I thank all of those whose works I read for keeping me sane during such a stressful time. My stories are chapters ahead of where I left them and are patiently awaiting my typing, proofing and uploading them. To those who continue to encourage me I thank you for waiting; even impatiently. For those who offered to adopt and finish both Family and Tribond my gratitude, however I am not yet ready to consider giving either up. I do re-commit to finishing both and as such will have the next chapter of Family out by weeks end.

I do however have a brief explanation if you care to read further: October of 08 my Grandmother took a turn for the worse. At the ripe age of 87 she and our family had been battling and dealing with senior dementia for nearly 10 years. Along side that she was also diabetic and we lost my Grandfather, her husband three years ago in April. My Aunt who is legally blind was their live-in full time care giver - and continued to be so until this past Saturday morning. Granny was hospitalized the night of April 2 and was transferred to a skilled nursing facility April 15. My sister and Aunt were headed out on Saturday morning to visit her when the call came that she had passed.

Tears were cried and a sense of relief swept through all of us. It had been so long since the vibrant ornery woman we all loved and knew had not been in pain and at long last she found rest. There is no doubt in my mind that Granny is somewhere snarking at Grandpa about how he should have waited for her. When we lay her to rest this week, they will once more be side by side as they had been since the ages of eleven and thirteen respectively. They did wait until Gran was 16 to marry, and spent the next 65+ years together. Living in the house Grandpa built for his bride they raised 5 children in a two bedroom home. Preceded in death by their eldest daughter who lived but a few months and both of their sons and one grandson, they will be missed dearly by the remaining three daughters, one son-in-law, two grandsons, and seven granddaughters, eight great grandsons and five great granddaughters.

Yikes! I bopped through and realized I hadn't updated the profile since I first created my account. SO anyhow, yeah um at this point I'sure no one is interested in anything but when in the H E double hockey sticksI'm going to update my stories. I am working on them I promise. The fact is they both are in a transition moment and what comes next is clear at least to my warped little mind - it's just bridging from where they are to the next part that has stymied me for a while now... I believe I will have that fixed soon...I made a promise to myself to do so and have the next chapter on both Tribond and Family posted by my birthday on March 24.

I sincerely thank all who have read and encouraged me to continue both stories. Your support is unbelievable and much appreciated as are the suggestions I have received.
