I started drafting this story way back in middle school, finally started posting it in high school, and then sporadically updated it throughout college. Now that I have been through grad school and am fully in the throes of adulthood, it came to my attention that I still love the universe of Aster and Harry Potter and was convinced to rewrite the story by my love. Many thanks to him for that. Below is a summary for an original science fiction work by love and if you have time and interest please check it out. Stellar Exodus stellarexodus [.] com Summary: Humanity’s first great leap into the stars was to escape a home in collapse. Earth was a skeleton of her former beauty; she was stripped clean of nearly all her resources, her climate was neglected, and unending wars left her incapable of sustaining an ever growing population. Mars and Venus, along with vast arrays of orbital colonies, became new Earths for people trying to flee the turmoils that followed closely behind them. The Expanse Initiative came at the end of the 30th century where all the nations of humanity shared in a common goal: to colonize new worlds rich in resources for a resurgence in prosperity and unity. Passengers were to board sleeper ships and be transported in cryostasis while an active crew would pilot each ship at near lightspeed to worlds selected by their Earth-like properties.
