The Apartment..

After exchanging messages with King, Toshinori and his friends hung out in his apartment for hours.

Hanging out with Genos and Yui was...nice, so to say. They each brought him a gift, which Toshinori hesitantly took, because no matter what the reason is, he'll feel guilty taking things from other people that wasn't his to begin with.

Genos's gift was a Floatie-themed key-chain. Apparently, Genos bought a hero merchandise just for the blond-haired youngster.

Yui's gift was..a dumbell? Yeah, a dumbell, a 20-kg setpiece. Nice. Not bad at all. He could use it for some exercise.

The gifts was nice, Toshinori appreciated what his friends did. He never had any friends before, so this was a new experience for him.

Boy, am I glad I decided to save Genos that day.. He thought.

Before he met Genos, he was a loner. A scrawny, weakling of a loner. No one wanted to be near him. Of course, it has something to do with the discrimination of the quirkless.

But even so, he was still determined to become the Symbol of Peace. A pillar that holds society together. A beacon of hope to those who needed it.

It wasn't until he met Genos for the first time, that he decided to have a second goal besides becoming a symbol. A goal to become a pillar to the quirkless too. He will be the one who stands for the quirkless, showing the world that the term isn't to be confused with 'powerless', 'worthless', or any of their discriminating insults towards them.

With all that thinking aside, Toshinori opened the door to his backyard, showing the beauty of the city above the apartment. The moon shining on his being, and the adorned skies filled with the twinkling stars.

I wonder how mom is doing though...

He felt guilty for leaving his mom in the dark for a long time. He hasn't called her since two months ago. He needed to call her. There is something to inform her, after all..

Toshinori decided to bring his phone out to call his mom.

Buzz.

Buzz.

Click.

"Toshi?" The feminine voice called out. "Okaa-san.." Toshinori replied.

The voice laughed lightly, "And so, the prodigal son decided to call his mother after going out to the city and have a leisure of his time. Tell me, are you going to offer yourself as a slave of mine?" His mom joked.

"T- that's not it, mom!" Toshinori replied frantically, "I'm sorry I haven't called, I really a-"

The voice laughed even louder, "I know, I know! I was just messing around with you. Have you ever read the Bible?" She asked again. Toshinori was silent for a few seconds, before replying, "Well... I'm not religi-"

"Don't answer." She interrupted with a snicker, before continuing, "So what's up, Toshi? How's your path into becoming a pillar of society coming along?"

"It's going great..if you see what I look like and what I'm capable of right now, you'd be surprised." Toshinori replied. Yeah, he hasn't told his mom about his over excessive training regime, or how he gained powers from it, oddly enough.

"I'm sure I will. But always remember to be careful, okay? Being a hero, like I always said, is not fun and games. Villains out there wouldn't hesitate to kill you." His mom warned sternly. Toshinori sighed, "I know, mom. I'll try to be careful, for your sake."

"That's my boy." His mom said in a prideful voice, before asking again, "I'm sure there is another reason why you called me?"

Toshinori took a deep breath, before saying, "Mom, I don't know how to say this but...a month ago, I saved a girl from a rich family. Apparently, she was kidnapped by someone and was forced to stay with them, in exchange for her family's wealth." He stopped for a moment. Even if he didn't see her, he knows his mom has a worried look on her face as of now. And oh yeah, for some reason, he left out an important detail.

The fact that it was a hero that kidnapped the girl, and not the criminals.

He continued, "I encountered her in the streets, and saved her from them. I couldn't let her bear that pain of separation from her family anymore, so I did what I had to do. In exchange..." He took a deep breath, before saying, "Her parents gave me a compensation just now. They gave me money, lots of it, and also...they gave you the money too..through your bank account."

His mom gasped, "Toshi... don't tell me you requested them to send the money my way instead of you?" She said in a displeased tone, already piecing it together.

Toshinori didn't say anything. His mom continued, "That's what you've been always like, right? Remember the time you saved someone from a mugger? A few years back? Instead of accepting the compensation, you offered them to send it my way instead, with the excuse that I'm a 'hard-working person who deserved it more than you do'." She finished.

"Mom...I just couldn't accept it. What I did was nothing special. But they kept insisting, so I offered them to send the money your way if they're so persistent." Toshinori retorted.

"Not special?! Son, why are you always undermining everything you do? You deserve it more than I do. I'm not a hard-working person, Toshi, even if I am, it's only because of you. And this thing you're aiming for, this..'Symbol of Peace' thing, is far greater than all of my goals combined. Never doubt yourself, son. If someone wants to compensate you, that means you did good." She finished her speech..

Toshinori still believed what he did was nothing special and any person in their right mind would do it, heroic or not. A little girl coming to you and clutching to your chest, begging you to save her? How could you say no to that and leave her if you have the power to save her?

He replied, "I will try to consider your words, mom.." he then continued, "And by the way, you should check your savings." He said with a smirk.

"Ah..yes, I forgot about that. Hopefully.." His mom looked like as if she was checking her virtual bank account, "Hopefully they didn't send too m-" She interrupted herself.

Toshinori found himself smiling. "EHH?! A MILLION YEN?!" His mom screamed to the top of her lungs.

A few hours later...

Toshinori put a blanket on himself, turning on the A.C. His mom's reaction to a million yen sitting on her bank account is beyond hilarious. He bet she collapsed for a second the moment she saw the very thing in front of her eyes.

She began crying, and couldn't believe that Toshinori would do this for her. Honestly, his mom had done a lot for him, and this is his way of paying back.

I hope she's happy now. He thought.

He closed his eyes, the dark room covering his sight, making it easier for him to sleep and sound.

He then made sure to remember one thing.

Oh yeah! I have to visit King tomorrow, right after school.

A little girl was seen emerging out of her own pool of blood. She walked around, seeing multiple people with an outfit of a doctor walking left and right.

She then heard a scream. An agonizing scream. The scream that she thought was familiar. It was her. Sister. Big sister...

Tears leaked out of her eyes, worry began to overwhelm her. She ran, and ran, but multiple people were on his way. They seem to be in a hurry, so they didn't mind bumping into the child, causing her to fall down.

The child, however, was persistent. She ran, until she found a holding cell, which was the source of where the agonizing scream came from.

She looked inside, only to see her big sister, caged inside, bawling her eyes. She panicked, tried to help her. She phased through the cage, tried to comfort her, anything, but she didn't realise that her little sister was there.

And then, the doors to the holding cell were slowly opened. A man in a business suit emerged out with a menacing smile, his hair shining white, his intimidating aura intensified the whole situation.

"Why didn't you use your power, dear?" The man asked in a gentle voice. But anyone in their right mind would know that this man is faking his kindness, to manipulate her, use her.

The girl whimpered, "I...I can't use it anymore..."

The man crouched to her level, "Don't lie to me. Why didn't you?" He asked in a gentle voice. The girl was bawling even more, "I told you, I-"

She was interrupted when the man hugged her. Tatsumaki was crying in his arms, and the man only smiled gently.

He then spoke, "Is it because you want to go back to your family?"

The man patted the back of her head, "I know you're doing this in order to trick us, to convince us that you're useless. Admit it, I won't bite."

Tatsumaki flinched at this. She then denied it, "I wasn't lying! I swear I can't use my powers!"

The white-haired man began sighing in exasperation, losing every bit of his patience, "Just cooperate, little girl. We will take very good care of you, more than your previous family ever had."

She spoke, "N- no...no..I don't wanna! They...my mom and dad..." She continued, "THEY SOLD ME! I don't want to go back to them...and I wasn't lying when I said I can't control my powers!" As she cried even more.

"Ah...but I can still sense your quirk, and you say that you can't use your powers..." The man asked again, "Are you positive?"

Tatsumaki nodded again. The man removed himself from hugging the little girl. Fubuki was still watching the whole scene, unable to do anything about it.

"I see..." The man said with a frown, before walking away, making a gesture motion. "Well, I'm afraid I can't help you with what commence next, Tatsumaki." He said in a non-threatening voice.

"What do-" Suddenly, when the man exited, the whole room glowed blue, before electricity began sparking everywhere.

"AAAAAHHHHGGGG!" Tatsumaki cried in pain, her body struck by thousand of volts of electricity. "ONEE-CHAN!" Fubuki yelled, "NO! NOOO!"

Tatsumaki's body let out a steam of smoke, before the room glowed again, and she was struck by it again, as she screamed out loud in pain, her body begging to die.

"NOOOOO!!" Fubuki tried to reach out, to hug her big sister, to get her out of there, but it was to no avail. Fubuki began crying, "ONEE-CHAAAAAANNNNNNN!!!!"

"ONEEEEE-CHAAAAAANNN!!!" Fubuki woke up with a thunderous scream, waking up her big sister next to her.

"Oi, Oi, what's the matte-" Tatsumaki said in a tired, bored manner, but cut herself off when she noticed the look on Fubuki's face.

And plus, the fact that her body was glowing green. "Fubuki...?" Tatsumaki called out, worried.

MY HERO ACADEMIA - THE POWER OF ALL FOR ONE {YOU CAN'T RUN} -- PLAYS

Fubuki looked back, tears leaking out of her eyes. She began to mutter her next words, "Onee-chan..."

The next moment, she lunged herself to her big sister, crying, "ONEE-CHAAAN!!"

She hugged Tatsumaki, crying to her pajamas. "F- Fubuki? What's the matter?!" Tatsumaki asked, worried. Fubuki began crying out loudly, "Onee-chaaaannn!!"

"Okay, I'm gonna ask you to calm down and expl-" But before she can finish, Fubuki replied, "You were hurt! In my dream, I saw bad men hurting you! And the man in the business suit..."

Wait, what? How? How did she managed to dream about that? At that time, she was at the...orphanage...

"Fubuki, what do you mean?" Tatsumaki asked again.

"I was there! I was there! You were asking for help! For anyone to get you out of there! And...and...you said mom and dad...sold you off?" Fubuki replied, her tone sad.

Tatsumaki was frozen, unable to say anything. She didn't intend for this to happen. She wasn't supposed to know about that, about her being sold off, about HIM.

Oh! Oh...that glowing blue her little sister had...was she.. prying inside her mind using her esper powers?

"Fubuki...did you use your powers when you were asleep?" Tatsumaki asked in a lower tone, and made it not too obvious to her. Fubuki shook her head quickly, "No! I didn't! I was sleeping! And then that dream I happened! I swear, I wasn't! Why did you ask that, anyway? What does it have to do with my dream?"

It was an accidental occurence? Shit, how the fuck is this possible? What the fucking fuck? Her little sister is exposed to a lifetime of trauma and PTSD's just because her power decided to be a piece of shit?

Tatsumaki wrapped her arms on the little sister, patting her back, "Let's just go sleep, okay? Forget about what you just saw."

"B- but..you were hurt! It felt real! As if it was a memory! Did mom and dad sold you off?! Were that suited man hurting you?" Fubuki began panicking, breathing heavily.

Tatsumaki hugged her tighter, "Shhh, it was just a dream. Onee-chan's okay, we're going to be okay. None of it was real. Shhhh.." she lied. She had to.

"But-"

"Shh... don't overthink it, Fubuki-chan. Just close your eyes, relax, don't think about it. None of it was real. I was never caged in a cell, with a bad man hurting me." Tatsumaki reassured, patting her back as their heads layed on the pillows.

Tatsumaki pulled the blanket to cover them both, as she slept with her little sister, closer to each other than before.

Tatsumaki sighed. She is sooooo going to see a certain Yagi fucking Toshinori tomorrow. She didn't care if he barely knew her. He's going to help her with this shit, support her mentally, whether the lame-faced cartoon character like it or not. She could ask the pompadour-head for help, but he has that sister of his that is so annoying. Plus...she doesn't want anyone to see her true side, her true, vulnerable site. They'd stomp on her, like they did. She has to be strong, so nobody would fuck with her.

But Yagi Toshinori...he didn't seem the type to do that. Even after her relentless antagonizing, he still saved her, saved her despite all the things, all the insults she threw his way. He...maybe he is worth a try.

Meanwhile, Fubuki was reassured. She closed her eyes, but then, she remembered something. Something crucial.

She never mentioned to her sister about her being caged in a holding cell.

The Next Day... 6 AM....

RIIIIIIINGGG

"Ugh..." Toshinori groaned, trying to sleep even more.

RIIIIIINGGGGGG

"Eerrhh..." He muttered under his sleep.

RIIIIIIIING.

Before a second passes, Toshinori's fist made an impact, shattering the alarm in pieces. Toshinori widened his eyes despite his tiredness at what he just did,

"OOOOOOHMYYYYGOOOOOOOODDDD!!!" He yelled in apparently English in a dramatic tone, before abruptly rushing off to where his shattered alarm lays. "Shit, shit, shit!" He cursed in English as well, trying to put together his shattered alarm, but to no avail.

He may have a million yen now, but that doesn't mean he can throw his money around like a crazed freak. "Dammit. How could I be so careless to you, Alarm-san.." He asked himself in a dramatic tone, "You were always there when I needed you the most..."

"You will be missed, Al-" Toshinori was cut off when the door to his backyard was opened. The door was enveloped in green aura, which means...

Oh crap.

"Cut out the bullshit, Yakult. That alarm means nothing." A feminine, arrogant, and familiar voice called out. It was Tatsumaki.

Thank the lords for Esper...otherwise, tracking him would be a pain in the fucking butt. Tatsumaki thought.

Toshinori took a look at the stranger for a moment, before getting an idea of who that might be. Wait is that..?

Ah yes, the sassy lost child strikes again- BUT WAIT, WHAT IS SHE DOING HERE?! HOW DID SHE FIND HIM HERE! HE NEVER GAVE HER AN ADDRESS, A PHONE NUMBER- oh wait, that's the problem...he never gave them a phone number and an address. A mistake on his part.

"Oi, I have a door you know." Toshinori reprimanded despite his confusion. The esper landed on the floor, clenching her fists and began ranting, "I don't care, lame-face! I didn't come here for a lesson in manners!"

"Then what did you come here for?" Toshinori deadpanned, staring at her. However, Toshinori's joking mood was dropped down a bit when he noticed the look on her face. "Is...something wrong?" he asked in concern.

"Hmph!" Tatsumaki snubbed, looking away from him while crossing her arms. "You don't have to hide your feelings, Tatsu...Wait! Awww, did you come here to ask me for help~~?" Toshinori teased, snickering to himself.

"Tch! Yes!" Tatsumaki replied, shocking Toshinori. She then slowly approached him, before sitting on his bed. "Tatsumaki...?" Toshinori called out, but the girl was still looking down, unable to say anything.

Toshinori sat closer to her, reaching her with his hand, trying to lift her head a little bit, which, to his surprise, didn't startle the arrogant Esper-quirked girl.

The girl were drenched in tears, her eyes crimson red. Toshinori took a step back in surprise. Why was she crying? She didn't seem the type to seem so vulner- Fuck, what am I thinking? I barely know her and now I'm judging her based on what I've seen yesterday. Toshinori mentally berated himself.

"I'm sorry..." Tatsumaki apologised. Eh??

"I'm sorry for antagonising you yesterday..I know you might hate me right no-" Tatsumaki was interrupted when Toshinori spoke, "No, no, no, I didn't mind that at all, Tatsumaki but..what I need to know, firstly, is how in the world did you find my place? Secondly, why are you crying? Did something happened? And why me of all people? I- I mean, it's not like I don't want to help you or something, but still.." He finished asking his unanswered questions.

Tatsumaki answered, "My esper quirk allows me to feel the presence of the people I've met. I can sense you, even from far away, it's how I found you..."

Toshinori only replied with a simple "Oh.", before Tatsumaki went on with her next point, "I..only need someone to accompany me..maybe you could take a shower first or something but.." she then took a deep breath, before saying, "Can I come with you to wherever your school is?"

"Huh?" Toshinori asked in surprise, "You want to what?!"

That's it for today's chapter...stay tuned for the next!
