Mustafa Private Middle School...

The clash between the esper teen and the Subterranean King shook the whole school as a whole. Tatsumaki gritted her teeth as she tried to push the gigantic creature away from her, blood dripping from her forehead.

"Is that a sense of vengeance I sense in you, little one?" The Subterranean King asked, "If so, such driving force would be the cause of a downfall for a great warrior such as yourself. A shameful waste of talent."

"Be...quiet!" Her quirk aura exploded for a bit in her rage, staggering the Subterranean King lightly, "Good! That's the spirit!" He then felt the effect of her quirk loosening off him due to her state.

He smirked, and used his legs to kick the esper away, who retaliated by using her quirk to defend her body from the impact.

Tatsumaki coughed more blood, as she kneeled, feeling her body weakening. She could try calling Toshi-

No...she would not rely on people. She shouldn't expect people to come and help her. She has to rely on herself at all times.

Either that or I die here!

She raised up once again, clenching her fist, her quirk taking her over, floating in the air.

"Why are you so persistent in eliminating us, little one? You could have let the warriors you humans so worship to handle this." The creatire asked, readying his blades.

"You hurt my sister." Tatsumaki darkly replied, before lifting a large rubble from the ground, tearing it apart, before rushing towards the creature, throwing each of the pieces hurling to the Subterranean King.

The creature fought back, swiftly slicing the pieces effortlessly with his blades, before slicing the last part with an elegant spin. He opened his eyes, before seeing the esper already in front of him, "Hm-?"

She used her quirk to strike the gigantic creature, staggering him. He growled, before attempting to attack, but was stopped by Tatsumaki's defensive barrier.

She then pulled a rubble from his back, before pulling it to strike the back of his head. He grunted, growling to see who hit him from behind, but found nothing.

He bought it...dumbass..

She then pulled a rubble from the ground, creating a large, sharp point in the rock, before hurling it towards the creature's chest, to deliver the killing blow.

The creature unfortunately, quickly turned to the incoming projectly, but barely dodged it, as it's sharp point cut off one of his arms.

"RAAAAAAARRGRGHHHHH!!!" The King screamed in pain as it's arm fell limply on the ground, blood profusely flowing from it.

The Subterranean King growled, "You...a mere child...HOW...?!"

Tatsumaki was disappointed by the result, but it still bear fruit, the villain's limb were damaged beyond repair.

Tatsumaki felt murderous intention right in her heart. She didn't care that she was going to be jailed, fined, or whatever punishment it was she was going to face for using her quirk without license. Laws be damned. They hurt her sister, and she'll personally make them pay.

"No matter...I still have three of my limbs... I'LL PERSONALLY MOUNT YOUR HEAD ON MY HALL AS A TROPHY, YOU GREEN-HAIRED WITCH!" The Subterranean King screamed, as he swiftly attempted to slice the esper with one of his blades.

Tatsumaki gasped, barely dodging the attack, but one second later, another blade came by, trying to slice her apart.

She activated her barrier, the impact causing her to fly into the side.

She coughed more blood, "URRGHH..!!" She recovered, before another blade came by, to which she barely dodged once again.

The Subterranean King quickly slammed his sword into the ground, to where Tatsumaki was. To his surprise, Tatsumaki, with barely any energy left, tried to hold his blades away with her shield barrier.

"You're strong, I admit that, child, but your glory days ends now." The Subterranean King smirked, as his blade was slowly impenetrating her shield barrier.

Suddenly, a swift kick made an impact to the Subterranean's face, causing it to fly away at great speed from the place.

From above, a figure landed in front of the exhausted child. Tatsumaki, with her blurry vision, tried to make sense of who the person was.

The figure was a female wearing a sleeveless black body suit, with a white cape flailing around in the air, with both yellow gauntlets and yellow boots, and a red clothing on her hips.

She looked back, before approaching the child, kneeling as she did, "Hey there, you don't look so good, dear.."

Tatsumaki tried to speak, "I... I'm alright..."

She shook her head, "You're obviously not alright. Still, you fought that creature bravely. Usually, I'd be against kids like you using their quirks without a license and performing reckless things like that..." She then stood up, looking down on her, "But I'll pass it up as an act of self-defence. Go, you don't need to fight anymore, leave the rest to us, to me." She ordered.

Tatsumaki weakly said, "B...but...I need to...kill hi-"

The person put her hand on the younger teen's shoulder, "Trust me. I'll take it from here. Kids like you shouldn't be put on the battlefield like that."

Tatsumaki looked up to the pro-hero, who was smiling at her. She then asked, "Who...who are you?"

"Shimura Nana. A hero." Nana replied, before walking away, speaking to her speaker, "Sorahiko, get the kid away from here."

Tatsumaki didn't know who she was talking to, but suddenly, she was pulled away in an instant by a person.

She looked up only to see an eye-masked white-haired man carrying her. He gently said to her, "You're exhausted. Just relax for a bit, you're going to be fine."

Meanwhile, Miriko watched as Nana approached the Subterranean King. He growled, "A pro-hero...how did she..." His expression of anger and fear suddenly turned into a smirk, "I'll enjoy seeing him tear you into pieces...no one will recognize your corpse after he's done with you.."

A meeting between three pro-heroes...Hero Public Safety Commission...

Ganryu, the number one hero, was sitting in amidst the meeting table. He clasped his hand in the table, thinking of something.

"This is pointless. We can't just leave this threat to a fodder like Stinger and Lightning Max while we're here sitting and doing nothing!" A pro-hero wearing a chest armor, an ice-blonde hair, adorned with two eight-pointed star in it spoke. Flashy Flash, the number two ranked hero.

"A meeting taking place in the middle of an attack is folly. We should do this after we deal with the threat." Ganryu spoke out, before looking at the director of HPSC who summoned them, "Why have you called us?"

"We found something. Someone behind the attack. And that someone will surprise you. Besides, someone else is already dealing with the threat. This is an important matter, so we should wait for a backup call, but in the meantime, I want to inform you about this " Sitch spoke.

A black-skinned, muscled man spoke out, "Okay, tell us who this person is, whoever they are." The pro-hero was called Superalloy Darkshine, the number three ranked hero.

Sitch then turned on the presentation, showing it into the large screen in front of them.

It shows the figure of a slanted-eyed boy with scrawny feature, long brown hair spreading from the head to his back.

"Wait is that...?" Flashy Flash widened his eyes in surprise.

"Correct." Sitch spoke, "The kid who was in the list of the people with quirks which can be considered 'villainous', as you people may refer to as. What made him dangerous in the first place, is the fact that his quirk is irreversible. It can completely change the ideals and maybe even the personality of the victim he set his eyes on. The government keeps their eyes out for people such as him."

"So he really decided to undergo the path of villainy and convinced the mysterious beings to destroy things left and right or somethin'?" Superalloy spoke, "I don't get why a kid would do something like that though."

"His mother has informed us that he went missing a day before. We could only confirm that he encountered the mysterious beings and forged an alliance with them." Sitch replied.

"Maybe he just used his quirk to mind control them." Ganryu stated.

Sitch shook his head, "We don't know that for sure. His quirk doesn't work on people who has their mental trained."

"Okay, so we just go to his school, Mustafa something something, and then just snatch the kid away, right?" Flashy Flash came to his own conclusion.

"Yes, that's why I called all of you here. You're one of the only ones that are reliable to face the threat present before us." He then continued, "As of now, Mustafa Private Middle School is attacked by these creatures in larger quantities than in any other parts of the city."

Sitch then looked to each of them, "However, the kid must remain your focus. As I've seen, you three might one of the only ones who has the mental capacity to resist the effect of his quirk completely. That, is why I have called the three of you in."

The three of them nodded simultaneously, before getting themselves ready to work.

Back with Nana...

Nana looked at the gigantic creature towering above her with such confidence. Regardless of the threat in front of her, she smiled. Smiling is what she does best. It's what kept her going on and on, strong enough to take what life has to offer to her, whether it's the problems she faced, or anything unsightly.

"Where is she?! Where is the brat?!" The gigantic king asked furiously.

Nana chuckled, "Not answering. Besides, while I stand here, you aren't going near that girl ever again."

"So you are one of the warriors that kept your feeble society to function. The heroes." The Subterranean King spoke with venom, "You should give up, woman. I'll take over your society sooner or later. But first, that girl must die."

"Not gonna happen." Nana sternly replied, clenching her fist, readying herself to fight.

"You humans think yourself so highly now that you've evolved into something more. Whatever this mutation you went through, you're still nothing before the might of our race! THE SUBTERRANEANS!" The gigantic creature roared again.

Nana sighed, before jumping into the air, "Looks like your monologue ends here." She swung her fist, causing the Subterranean King to be sent back a few meters away.

Despite that, the creature was still standing, the ground below him destroyed although.

"You hit harder than that child." The Subterranean King spat away some blood, before smirking, "But that's still nothing." He then rushed at Nana, who was floating in the air.

The gigantic creature attempted to slice Nana, each attempts were evaded by Nana effortlessly.

In his last attempt to slice her, Nana reacted quickly, before doing a spinning kick into the creature's face, doubling the attack after that, sending him into the ground.

The creature growled, "You WITCH!" He yelled in frustration, before standing up and doing a swift slash into the direction of Nana's abdomen.

Nana, once again, evaded, before kicking the blade away from it's place. The Subterranean King widened his eyes in shock, "What the-?!"

Nana spun around in the air, before using the momentum to punch the Subterranean King in the face again. She could've sworn that she heard a noise of a bone cracking from the creature.

The creature staggered back, holding his cheeks in pain.

Miriko watched as Nana effortlessly went to the King's side, kicking his second blade away. He was horrified. He didn't expect a pro-hero to be this strong. The subterraneans should be stronger than an average hero. Impossible!

He should do something, fast! Distract her..or...make her join him. Ah yes. His quirk. Yessss...a small smirk made it's way into his lips.

He would not let a measly pro-hero get in the way of his vengeance. Of all the pain he had endured for years. Of all the will to live that was taken away from him when everyone ostracized him due to his quirk.

Nana dodged the subterranean's last slice, before kicking it away from his hands, rendering him unarmed, "Your moves are so predictable." Nana remarked, "For a mysterious being, you fought so blindly."

The creature growled, "I'LL KILL YOUUUUUUU!!!!"

Nana smiled, as she both of her hands to axe-slam the creature in the forehead, sending him into the ground, multiple debris flying off from the impact.

Nana landed on his chest, crouching against the gigantic creature, "I really don't want to kill you, you know? You could just give up and be done with it. Of course, you'd be jailed as a punishment, but it'd be better if you reform."

"REFORM?! We, the subterraneans, will rather die than to submit to one of you vermins!" The Subterranean King shouted.

"Very well." Nana was about to knock the creature out unconscious, before a voice suddenly called out from behind, "You."

Nana turned her head slightly, only to see a kid with slanted eyes staring at her, "Kid?" She didn't know who he was, "You should get outta here before you get hurt.'

Miriko ignored her concern, but instead, let his quirk into play, "You really should stop pounding him. He's done already. Maybe you should leave and get out of here?" He spoke with a small smirk, "Y'know, to blow some steam, to unwind, or better yet...kill yourself."

Nana was about to respond, but suddenly, she felt dizzy. Her head was hurting badly. As if like her mind was trying to fight off something. Something....Wait, is that the kid's quirk? He seems suspicious enough, but when he told me to kill myself..that does it..what is his dea- "Ugh..!" Nana held her head, trying to fight off the pain, "What...kid...what did you..." She was unable to finish her sentence when a giant fist made it's way to her, sending her flying away into the air.

Nana recovered herself, still feeling dizzy. Great, now I have to fight him while having this feeling in my head. I really let my guard down...She sighed, maybe I should stop thinking that all kids are harmless....

Meanwhile, Miriko watched with his arms crossed as the Subterranean King regained his fight stance, So my quirk worked for a bit, but her mental was strong enough to resist it, but not strong enough to prevent the pain.

Nana floated down, trying to resist the pain in her mind, but to no avail. She can't fight well in her state. The pain in her head was immense. Was he trying to mind control her?

Might as well say fuck it and just fight him. If I die...I'm sorry, Kotarou, for abandoning you like that...

She ignored the pain in her head, clenching her fists, rushing against the Subterranean King, determination filling her.

Ultimately, she smiled as she prepared her fist. Even in her situation, she tried her hardest to smile. After all, she always thought that people who smiles are always the strongest.

Meanwhile..

Hitoshi Bad was running off through the streets of the city, trying to hide from any of those bulky creatures that has been a pain in his ass today.

Dammit, and all I wanted to do was watch some movies with my sister, and this shit happens! Fuck!

But he can't help but think about what Miriko just said to him earlier...

You walk, you see, and you neglect. Is that how you people operate these days? People who desire to be heroes?

Bad growled, "Why the heck am I thinkin' about that just now?"

He wanted to be a hero, sure, but not for the sake of justice. He..well, he just wanted to impress his sister. That's it. That's his motivation. Nothing more.

He figured out that it'd be cool if his sister puts all of her hope in him, seeing him as something to be looked up to, sees him as her hero, a hero that she can rely on always.

He didn't want to be a normal, boring brother to her. He wanted to be an outstanding role model to her, something to be admired. He wanted to be the best brother just for her, and being a hero could just accomplish that.

But he couldn't help but be bothered by his own motivation after what Miriko just said. A hero doesn't serve justice on a plate for the sake of their own, but for the sake of others. That's what heroes meant, brave people who will sacrifice their own well-being for the sake of others. But him? He wasn't even close to even being a brave person, let alone a goddamn hero.

He sighed, putting the train of thoughts into rest as he tried to run into the direction of his home.

However, he stopped when he heard a whimpering from a nearby alley.

"P- please... don't eat me...please!" A man screamed in fear, taking a step back from the gigantic creature before him.

"Likey likey! I like it when you scream, whimper in fear, it's like the taste of your flesh is the bonus!" The creature laughed as it took a heavy step.

"PLEASE! SOMEONE! HELP! A PRO-HERO! ANYONE!!" The man screamed in desperation, "I DON'T WANT TO DIE-HA-HA-HA!" He cried, tears began leaking out of his eyes.

Hitoshi Bad was frozen in place, gripping into the metal bat in his hands even harder.

Should I help him?

The creature took another heavy step with a vicious smile.

Nah, probably shouldn't...

"HEEEEELPP!! PLEAAAAASEEEE!!!"

But...

"Keep screaming, vermin, I'd like to keep this even longer before I eat you as a bonus."

He really needs the help though...

"I BEG OF YOU, HAVE MERCY FOR THIS POOR OL' ME..." He began crying uncontrollably, "I HAVE A FAMILY!"

I can't! Why can't I just help him!? Why am I such a coward?! Am I really a hero?! Me? My own, stinkin' fucking self?!

He gritted his teeth in frustration. Part of him wanted to help the poor guy, but the fear in him was overwhelming. He knows he is no match.

But then, he was trying to put himself as a role-model for her sister. But...a fake role-model? He was trying to show her sister that he was this brave, fearless hero that will take care of her and will always protect her with no failure as an option. But that image he was trying to create was fake. He was still human. He could make mistakes. And most of all, he is not brave. Behind that smug attitude, he was just a coward. He even tried to run when those monsters was eating and killing some of the students in his school.

He gripped his metal bat with both of his hands, making his final decision. I'll definitely save him... I'LL SAVE HIM!

He rushed towards the alley, before jumping straight towards the black creature, preparing his metal bat, "I WON'T LET YOU," He swung his metal bat straight into it's cheeks, "HURT HIM!!"

The creature was staggered for a moment, before smiling viciously, "Eh? Another food added to the menu? What a surprise." It began licking it's lips uncontrollably, "Meal's gonna be awesome."

"I'm not gonna be your meal!" Bad declared, "AND NEITHER IS HE!" He finished, referring to the man in need.

The man however, said, "Wait...wait...a kid..came to save me...?"

"Stop talking and run away, moron!" Bad ordered. The man was frozen for a bit, before taking his leave, screaming as he did.

"Not gonna let him-" The creature was interrupted when the metal bat hit him across his guts, causing him to get hurt a little bit.

"You're a feisty one, aren't you?" The creature asked while licking his lips, "Well, one loss of a meal couldn't hurt, right? After all, I still have you." The creature spoke again, "A brave human would taste even better in my mouth!"

"Stop spouting some bulls-" He was interrupted when the creature slammed him into the wall.

Blood started dripping off his forehead. Bad was struggling to keep himself standing. His quirk wasn't anything special, dammit! It was just super-strength! Nothing more!

He tried to swing his metal bat weakly once again, but the creature flicked it's wrist, causing him to be swatted away into the next wall. It was a dead end. Bad couldn't escape.

The creature smirked ominously, "Welp, looks like you're gonna die here."

Bad was afraid. Very afraid. Maybe he made a mistake. A fucking big mistake. If he dies here...How will my sister react? My poor...little sister...

Suddenly, his fear turned into a feeling of rush. A feeling that he never felt before. The rush to fight. A spirit to move forward. Spirit...a fighting spirit, perhaps.

What...what is this feeling..?

Adrenaline suddenly flew throughout his body, as he stood up slowly, his fear replaced with anger.

I suddenly feel...powerful... I'll... I'll BASH THIS CREATURE'S SKULL IN!!!!

"Huh? Still got a fight left in ya? Well-" He was interrupted when Bad grabbed onto his metal bat, swinging it across his face, sending him a few feet away.

Standing there, was Hitoshi Bad, devoid of any fear. He clenched his fist, as he prepared to rush against the creature, multiple debris met it's demise as he did so.

Meanwhile, The Yaoyoruzu's Household...

Izumi was left with by her parents with a babysitter on the house, looking after her. Apparently, her parents were attending an important meeting with the Yaoyoruzu Corps staffs and workers.

It was peaceful, until a monster broke into their house. A bulky creature, creepily smiling towards her, as it spoke, "Let me eat youuuu~~."

This was enough to send a shiver down the babysitter's spine. She took Izumi with her, "Follow me!"

They went to her parent's room, locking the door as they got in. "I'm scared!" Izumi said, "Big monsters scary!"

"Shhh.." The babysitter, Sakura, tried to comfort her, "Go to the wardrobe and hide there. I'll try my best to get the monster's attention away."

Izumi stared at her for a moment, before nodding, "B- but.. you are not going to die, right, missy Sakura?"

Sakura didn't respond for a moment, before saying, "I'll try."

That was good enough.

Izumi entered the wardrobe, still crying. "Missy Sakura.." She whimpered, as the door broke.

"LET ME TASTE...YOUR FLESHHHH~~!"

Truth be told, the babysitter, despite her self-sacrificing action, was still scared. She took a step back, before crying in the corner of the room, "Please..please... don't hurt me...we could talk this out..please.."

"IT WOULD BE A SHAME IF I THROW AWAY A MEAL!" The creature smirked, as it prepared to devour her.

"No...NO...NOOOOOO--" And screams erupted as the sounds of the flesh being tore apart was heard, traumatizing the little girl in the wardrobe. She whimpered, crying silently. She didn't want to die.

The creature was smelling the air, "Now where is that girl..." It spoke again, "She must be delicious~~..."

The girl's heartbeat was faster than before. She then searched for anything, anything. She then remembered something. Suddenly, a ray of hope sparked within her when she pulled her phone out of her pockets.

If you feel discomfort, try to call me. I won't treat it like a disturbance, got that, kid? A kind voice rang through her head.

She looked through the contact, and found the name. Toshinori. Toshinori-Kun...Help me...please...

She then called, hoping that he would answer...

Meanwhile.

"Checkmate." Toshinori stated as he smiled. King groaned, "Is this your idea of getting revenge on me for beating your ass on Tekken?"

"Hey! It was well-deserved!" Toshinori smirked. King sighed, "I'm going to kick your ass so hard the next time we play."

"Looking forward to it. But for now, I'm gonna keep kicking your ass in chess." Toshinori smiled. King only rolled his eyes as he prepared for another round.

"Hey, tomorrow, want to accompany me? I wanna go to the supermarket for this one super duper important bargain day after work." Toshinori asked him a favour.

King nodded, "Sure, I'm bored being in this house everyday anyways, even with the damned games. Going out with a friend could be a nice change of pace."

"Aweso-!" Toshinori was interrupted when his phone buzzed, "Hold up, gotta answer this." earning a nod from King, "Take your time, dude."

Toshinori then went outside of the room, before looking to see who called.

Unknown number.

"Hmmm...must be Tats.." Toshinori then answered, "Hey, who is-"

"Help..Toshi...Toshinori-kun..help...please.. I'm scared.. I'm..in my house.." The voice said in a whisper.

Toshinori was frozen in place, as he immediately recognized the voice. Izu-chan..no..no...NO!!

She was sobbing. Someone was hurting her. His protective instincts went wild, as he rushed off at the speed of light, into the direction of the Yaoyoruzu's household, not bothering to say goodbye to King.

His brows lowered. Whoever is trying to hurt her, is going to face a helluva hard time.

THAT'S ALL FOR TODAY'S CHAPTER! You may notice the lack of Toshinori in this chapter, but that was necessary. He was too OP to be shoved into the conflict too early.

However, next chapter, he'll return and kick ass! Stay tuned!

TO BE CONTINUED!
