Xenonkirito: I made Tatsumaki mock Allmight's family name because that's in her character to make fun of people, so I thought it would be nice to make her like that. As for the Yakult thing..well, Yakult is this brand for a milk in Japan, and since both Yakult and Yagi started with the same words, I made Tatsumaki confuse his name with Yakult when they first met, and then she uses the mistaken name to her advantage to make fun of him, so that's all.
King's Household..
Tatsumaki was baffled when she saw Yagi frozen in place as he stared to King's house. "OI, come here already! You want a rematch, right?! Or don't tell me your balls dropped already, Yakult?!"
Still, Yagi didn't respond. "What are you even looking at?" Tatsumaki dropped her controller, floating into King's direction.
Shit, not her too! King internally screamed. As Tatsumaki leaned to King and looked to the screen, she now knows why Yagi was frozen in place like that. Yagi then whispered to himself, "Damn, not even a second of break and this happens.." He sighed, before turning over to his friends, "Guys, I think I should-"
"No." King interrupted, and Tatsumaki only let out a displeased, "Really?"
Yagi sighed, "Come on, guys..I didn't intervene last time and look what happened.."
"Yagi, I know and I understand your concern, but you can't just go around breaking every rule you see, and hear me out, I know you won't get into trouble, or get hurt, but there's one thing that you forgot: It's the law, dude." King argued back.
Tatsumaki found herself agreeing with him, "True. I could've gotten my ass behind bars if it wasn't for that white-haired pumpkin." She finished, referring to the not-so-popular hero, Gran Torino.
"You could make yourself an enemy of the public, and you can't save lives that way." King added again.
Yagi took a deep breath, before exhaling exasperatingly, "Guys.." He said, "You really took me for a guy who would do nothing as innocents die."
"Let the pro-heroes handle this!" King argued back.
Yagi groaned, "Yeah, right, that turned out so well last time." He replied in sarcasm. King replied again, "I know you don't mean to be arrogant, but just because you have a strong quirk-"
"I don't have a quirk." Yagi stated bluntly. King was frozen in place when he heard that, "Wait..." King muttered, then screamed, "WHAT?!"
Well, save for Tatsumaki, for she knew about Yagi's situation.
"It's true. I don't have one. Just a mysterious power I got from my extreme training regime. From that day on, I just know that I shouldn't wait for someone else to do the right thing." Yagi replied.
Tatsumaki found herself agreeing with the teenaged soon-to-be hero. Blast, the author of 'The Impurities of Power', had been her favourite hero in history, seeing how brave he is, how he willingly went against the government to exact justice, unlike the other pro-heroes. One of the things he wrote on his book, was a quote, it said, 'Don't wait on someone else to come and save the day, but instead, use your own power and rely on yourself, put your trust only in yourself and your own power.'
But alas, she decided to stay silent, as she didn't want to be the one to make the decision for Yagi. She was just annoyed that her fun time with Yagi is interrupted.
King only stood there in silent, not knowing what to say anymore to convince his friend. Yagi didn't say anything else, before replying, "And besides, it's not like they'd caught me anyway."
King began to sigh, "Jeez, it's not like I could force you to listen to me but...You shouldn't let yourself to carry the weight of this city on your shoulder. You're a teen, just like us, and you deserve all the fun you can get before you get to the real world." King said, knowing that Yagi was behind the 'vigilante whom disappears' persona.
"No, see, that's the thing," Yagi responded, "The moment I got strong, that's when the weight of this entire city, no, this entire country rests on my shoulder."
Yagi then turned his head around to walk away. He then spoke, "Tats, sorry to leave so early, but I'll be back as soon as I can. It won't take long."
Tatsumaki laughed, "Honestly, I've seen too much from you, Yagi. I know you'll make it." She crossed her arms, "But if you want me to come with-"
Yagi shook his head, "Nah, nah, it's fine, you can stay here with him."
Tatsumaki sighed, "If you say so.." Uncrossing her arms, as she sat near the TV. "Just don't take too long. I still have a bone to pick with you."
"Will do." Yagi laughed as he nodded, before disappearing in an instant.
"Can he just exit normally?" King deadpanned. Tatsumaki didn't say anything, as she turned off the TV, before approaching King.
King noticed this, and sweat dropped. He couldn't help but feel intimidated at the sight of the Tornado of Terror herself. "Err...you wanna sit here?"
Tatsumaki only replied with a subtle "Hmph.", before sitting besides him in the bed, "Don't get any funny ideas, Freddy Krueger." She pouted, "Just sitting here because I felt like it."
King was taken aback by this statement, "N- no! I wasn't even think-"
"Shut up!" Tatsumaki shouted, causing King to be quiet immediately. Damn, he should've tried to convince Yagi harder than that. Being alone with her will not be a pleasant experience at all.
Meanwhile...
"Do you feel...guilt for the ordeal you caused a few days ago?" Nana asked, but only earned silence from the boy. She had been trying to get him to talk for the past thirty minutes.
The room they were in wasn't that complicated. It had white background, a toilet room, a dispenser on the corner in case someone needed to drink, and they were sitting in the middle, with two chairs facing each other in opposite sides, separated by a table in the middle of each chairs.
Nana, who were sitting on the right side, sighed, "We can't help you if you don't talk."
The boy laughed for a bit, "I don't need help." Nana, of course, didn't believe this, "I don't know why the HPSC hid the lower ranking heroes about you for so long, but now that I know, I also know that you need help. Life hasn't treated you that well, has it?"
"Don't try to understand me. It's a waste of time. Besides, shouldn't you be killing me, torturing me, or whatever it is you do to punish me? You know, the death penalties, suck all the blood out of me, or strap me into a chair to electrocute me, or is it-"
"Stop." Nana interrupted, "We aren't going to do that." She reassured, "They were going to, but you should know that the pro-heroes aren't as heartless as you make them out to be."
"Hoh, so you were going to put me to death," Miriko replied, as he laughed, "And some of you idiots had the nerve to go against them and convince them to put me here?"
"We're giving you a second chance-" Nana was interrupted when Miriko slammed the table, "There is no second chance. I've chosen my path, now choose yours, is it to keep scum like me on this earth, or put me down and make this planet a better place? Isn't that what you always wanted?! You used to think that I might turn into a villain, I have a 'villainous' quirk, I'm on the watchlist of the government 24/7, and your suspicion has turned out to be correct. So what's wrong? Why won't you kill me?"
"Because you deserve a second chance, Miriko. Call me crazy all you want, but I think you do. So please, tell me about yourself, I want to know more about you." Nana pleaded again.
"Did you feel guilty about the things you caused?" Nana asked again.
Miriko stared at her for a few seconds, before sighing, "I didn't. Until he came along."
"He?" Nana asked. "That tuft-haired blonde boy. I don't know what his deal is, but he opened my eyes to so many things." Miriko replied again. Nana widened her eyes at this. She knew who he was talking about. It was Yagi Toshinori.
"And...what was it that he opened your eyes to?" Nana asked again. Miriko replied, "That I should've proved you wrong, all of you, that I'm not a villain, that I'm not as evil as you make me out to be. He said I did the exact opposite. He called it 'self-defeat'."
Miriko took a deep breath, before saying, "Of course, at first glance, I would've thrown his advise away and see him as a lunatic. But...I don't know if he's lying, but he said he was quirkless, and people used to bully him because of it, treated him like a weakling, or something along the lines of that. He proved them wrong. He destroyed those monsters and blew them into oblivion without even breaking a sweat. He was stronger than anyone I've ever seen in my entire life."
Miriko stared at her eyes, a glimpse of hope was seen on both of it, "Tell me...do you know of him? Is he..really quirkless?"
Nana took a second to reply, before finally doing so, "I know him. I've seen his records, his database, and I can confirm that he's quirkless, and still is. His name is Yagi Toshinori, a student from Aldera High Junior."
Miriko looked down as he processed the new information.
"And the bullies he mentioned," Nana spoke again, "I actually am the guardian of one of them at the moment, since their father were in prison and there was no suitable place for them to live on."
Miriko widened his eyes as he looked at Nana, "You are not lying? You are being honest?!"
"I am." Nana smiled, "You should take his words to heart, Hamuze. I agree with him wholeheartedly. Don't let the words of other people define you. By becoming a villain, you're letting them win, you're giving them power over you. You should become your own person instead of letting their words get to you and change you."
"It's too late, I already did that. I already gave them power. What more can I do? After this, I might get the death penalty. And my mom doesn't love me anymore. What's the point?" Miriko said in a defeated tone.
"That's the point of second chance, is it?" Nana stood up, and approached the boy, putting her hands in his shoulder, "That's why some of us stood up for you. You deserve a second chance, even with the casualties you've caused. But that doesn't mean you're free from punishment. People back at the HPSC didn't like it, but we're putting you under house arrest."
Miriko scoffed, "I almost turned this city into a rotten landscape, and the best punishment you can come up with is a punishment for non violent offenders."
"I know, it's irrational, but I believe it's suitable for you," Nana replied, "It's suitable for your second chance."
"Look," Miriko looked at her, "Why are you doing all of these for me? For all I know, you could have some kind of ulterior motives. You could gain something out of this, whatever you're trying to do."
Nana laughed half-heartedly, "Trust me, kid, I'm not trying to lure you into something dangerous. I know you won't trust me immediately, but in time, you will."
Miriko sighed. "Alright. Fine. Do what you need to do to 'help' me." He finished his sentence, putting quotation marks on the 'help' part with both his hands.
"Great, now let's get going, we'll go over to your house." Nana said while standing up.
Back in Saitama Prefecture, Tokyo..
"Hammerhead," Sonic aggressively licked his lips, gripping his sword tighter as he left behind countless unconscious bodies behind his back, not dead, but grievously injured.
"W- what the hell?!" Hammerhead screamed, "Y- you're a hero, are you not?!"
"Do I look like one to you?" Sonic chuckled as he slowly approached the terrorist leader.
"You called yourself the 'assassin hero', did you?! Isn't... isn't this illegal?!" Hammerhead screamed, fear began to overtake him.
"Hoh, you're much of an idiot than I thought you would be. You really expected me to go easy on you and your men? You can't mix both 'assassin' and 'hero' in the same sentence, I just like the name, that's all. I thought you would've pieced the puzzle long before I sliced your men open." Sonic replied with a slight chuckle.
"You..." Hammerhead then formed an axe above his head, "BASTARD!" He slammed the ground, letting the power of his suit to overwhelm the ground bellow him, causing it to crack and formed a light crater.
Sonic jumped off of the ground, noticing the upcoming quake caused by the impact, before disappearing in an instant.
Hammerhead was about to rush at the 'hero', but he already vanished. Suddenly, a voice called out, "What's this just now? Trying to intimidate me?" Said Sonic in a condescending tone.
Hammerhead tried to look everywhere, but couldn't seem to find him.
"You can't see me, can you?" Sonic taunted again, hanging upside down from a tree nearby.
Hammerhead immediately noticed this, and grabbed a large boulder, "THERE YOU ARE!!!" Then he threw the boulder towards Sonic, who immediately dodged the projectile instantly.
So the coward decided to fight instead of running. Good. I'll have fun with him for a bit.
Sonic landed on the ground, before noticing the large boulder that were coming straight at him.
He dodged it effortlessly, yanking himself backwards as multiple boulders followed, threatening to crush his body, but the ninja dodged them all with no problem.
Sonic dodged the last boulder, before landing on the ground elegantly, trying to hold himself back from smirking.
Oops. There goes my bad habits again...
However, he then noticed that the boulders were thrown by the terrorist carefully. He saw a pattern.
Idiot. Couldn't he have at least tried to arrange the rocks in a less obvious way?
The boulders were placed in a very narrow, straight path, each blocking Sonic from going either left or right, not to mention being backed up by several trees in either right or left side, leaving him no choice but to rush straight to the terrorist in a straightforward path.
Hammerhead then finally opened his mouth, regaining his previous confidence, "I know what you are now! You're just a little dog bought by Agoni's money! No wonder! You heroes and political idiots has been oppressing us little guys, preventing us from using our quirks freely, disposing us of our freedom and human rights!"
Hammerhead pointed at Sonic with his index, "But you won't oppress us anymore! This, this is just the beginning! After I defeat you, I'll destroy Agoni's house and kidnap him as a ransom!"
Sonic internally facepalmed. What kind of idiot reveals his plans obliviously to his enemies?
"And you will not defeat me! I swear by it! I will create an utopia!" Hammerhead declared again.
Sonic sighed, "Are you done yet? Blah, blah, blah, utopia this, utopia that.." He gripped his sword, sheathing it, "I think I have listened enough to your nonsense." He then sprinted towards the terrorist, with the latter being not be able to see the ninja due to his speed.
Hammerhead smirked, "Looks like you fell right to my trap." He then grabbed a large deattached tree from behind him, before slamming it into the narrow pattern, "GOTCHA! THINK ABOUT HOW STUPID YOU WERE TO GO AND FIGHT AGAINST ME ON YOUR WAY TO HELL! YOU-"
Suddenly, something sharp hit his head from behind. It was a kunai, from none other than Sonic itself, "Looks like it's- oh wait, oops..."
He realised that he just, very possibly, subconsciously murdered the leader of the Paradisers. What's worse is, this idiot of a leader accidentally killed all of his followers by dropping the rocks senselessly, turning them into a bunch of bald pancakes
Hammerhead fell limply into the ground, face-planted, with no sign of life in sight. Sonic groaned, approaching the seemingly dead bald terrorist.
He used his foot to gently lick the terrorist, "Oi, if you're alive, don't play dead. You'll regret it."
No response.
"Hey! You son of-" Suddenly, his earpiece made out a voice, "You got him yet?"
Shit.
"Well, about that...." And Sonic didn't say anything for the last few seconds. The voice called out again, "Well? Don't tell me you lost him."
"..." Sonic didn't say anything. Again. Should he tell Agoni that he lost Hammerhead? No, his pride wouldn't allow it. But if he told him he killed the bastard, then he for sure will become a target and a fugitive. Killing villains is a big no-no in the hero society. He preferred to be this way rather than a force working outside of the laws, because that would be a pain in the ass.
But what should he say? What should he-
"Speed-O-Sound Sonic," Agoni asked again, his voice deeper than before, "Did you get him?"
Sonic turned to where the body was left off, only to see that it was missing. Sonic widened his eyes in shock,
What the?! Where did he...
Sonic calmed himself down, before looking at the positives,
At least the moron isn't dead. Time to make up some lies,
"Sorry for the late respond, but I've been playing a cat and mouse game with the baldy." Sonic finally responded.
"You were what?" Agoni asked.
"I mean I'm chasing the guy right now. He's a wimp, a coward, can't even face death- I mean a worthy adversary properly." Sonic corrected himself at the last second.
"Oh. Understandable. Give me news when your pursuit bears a fruit." The voice then vanished.
Sonic grunted, searching around the woods for signs of the terrorist leader, "Now to find you..."
Meanwhile...
Yagi had spent the last few minutes asking for directions for where the Paradisers went, but they just won't shut up about him being the kid who appeared in the news a few days ago, or about the rumours of him being the vigilante whom disappears.
It's annoying. But that annoyance disappeared when the last few people actually told him and gave him directions.
It would be nice if they just told me from the beginning.
Yagi sighed, as he searched for a quiet place to avoid suspicion, before sprinting with his true speed towards the woods near Saitama Prefecture, preferably near the house of the famous Agoni, who funded the HPSC on it's 'Quirk Advisor Association' project for two years.
As he stopped, he looked around, only to find nothing in interest. He had to admit that he admired the scenery in the woods.
The animals, the trees, he always loved how nature looks, outside of humanity's influence. But he couldn't help but make himself focus on the task on hand.
The terrorists are hurting people, and he wasn't about to let that to continue. While he walked, suddenly, a heavy breath was heard from his right side.
He looked, only to see a bald man wearing a full on black bodysuit, adorned with an image of fire on his waist and both of his thighs, walking in the middle of the trees. He looked like his body was shaking wildly.
"Shit! I'm glad I have a thick skull! Thank you, momma! I would've been dead without you!" The bald man spoke frantically.
Looks like the task will be easier this way. He sprinted in his direction, producing a large gust of wind, before stopping in front of the muscular man, who was bewildered by his sudden appearance.
"Are you the leader of the Paradisers?" Yagi said as he crossed his arms.
"Eh?! Wait, who are you?!" The muscular man asked. But then, his whole body stiffened when he realized who the kid was. It was the kid from that news TV a few days ago.
The hell is he doing here?
Yagi replied, "My name is not of anyone's concern. However.." His expression darkened, "I heard that you've been hurting a lot of people today."
"Eh? What do you mean?!" Hammerhead asked again.
"Don't try to lie your way out of this one, 'Hammerhead'." Yagi spoke, "You destroyed a mansion to spread your message. Do you have any idea how many people got hurt because of that?"
Hammerhead sweat dropped, "I- it was a mistake! I swear! My followers, they weren't even checking the map properly! My plan was originally planned without bloodshed!"
"You can't use that as an excuse. You still tried to spread your message by destruction. You're coming with me." Yagi demanded.
Hammerhead sighed in exasperation. He then cocked his fist back, "Looks like I have no choice but to take you out." He pushed his fist onward, causing the wind to shift in Yagi's direction, blowing the trees behind him.
"That should do it. Either he's unconscious, or he's dead. Let's just leave him here. I should get out of here before it's too la-" He was interrupted when the smoke cleared out, revealing an unscathed Toshinori.
W- what?! I thought I punched him!?
"Really?" Yagi said while still crossing his arms, "You were really planning to kill a teenager just because he was on your way? That should be enough for me to come into a conclusion that you're a major jerk."
Hammerhead was about to hit him again for good measure, but then, suddenly, a fist struck him in his abdomen, causing his battle suit to evaporate completely. Now Hammerhead was naked, without any clothes to prevent him from being exposed, "W- what the hell did you just do, kid-?!"
"That was twice just now. Seriously, do you hate us teenagers that much?" Yagi asked, still holding his fist up, belching steam out of it.
"I'm... I- I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" Hammerhead bend his knees, bowing his head as he frantically screamed, "D- don't kill me! I just..I just thought I was doing the right thing!"
Yagi snorted, "Sure, I'm supposed to believe that you're sorry after you just took the lives of those innocents. But no, I'm not gonna kill you," Yagi grabbed the larger man by his shoulder, "I'm just gonna take you to the authorities so they'll handle you their way."
"T- thank you...I swear I won't-" Hammerhead was interrupted when Yagi forced him to stand, unbending his knees, "Save it. You can apologize by facing the consequences of your terrorism."
Yagi then asked, "By the way, where's..the rest of your followers?"
Hammerhead gulped, before saying, "I...accidentally killed them..while I was fighting.."
Yagi stared at him, before sighing, "All the more reason to get you arrested. Let's just go."
"Not so fast." A new voice suddenly reached out to Yagi's ear. He turned his head, to find a blade seconds away from making contact with his skin.
With a swift swat of his hand, he managed to catch the blade immediately, "Your blade looks expensive. You don't want to break it by slicing me with it." Yagi warned, as Sonic pulled the blade forcefully, spinning in the air backwards, before landing on the ground elegantly, "He's mine." He said, completely ignoring the fact that Hammerhead is full on naked.
"What do you mean 'he's mine'? Are you an acquaintance of this guy or something?" Yagi asked while rubbing his chin. He then pointed his hand at the ninja, "Oh! Are you here to pull a rescue mission for him or something? Are you one of the Paradisers?"
"Idiot. Do I look bald to you?" Sonic deadpanned. Yagi replied, "Well, no, but who knows, these Paradisers dudes are unpredictable. You could be an undercover member of theirs."
"Undercover or not, that doesn't matter. What matters is..." Sonic gritted his teeth, "You saw through my Ninjutsu. That, my pride cannot allow. All that time spent, perfecting my jutsu's, my techniques, the countless trainings on the ninja village can't be wasted! I will defeat you!" Sonic declared as he thrusted his blade once again, faster than the eye could perceive.
However...
"Can I go now?" Yagi casually asked as he held the tip of the blade between his two fingers, "Kinda need to get this idiot to the police." He said as he pointed to the still shaken and scared Hammerhead.
"No...no, no, NO!" Sonic yelled as he disappeared into thin air. He then reappeared into one of the trees, before using it to propel himself towards another at the speed of sound, "I'm not worth your time, you say?!" He grinned widely like a crazed maniac.
He propelled himself around Yagi, motioning around in an almost circle-like path. "WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS SPEED, BRAT?! NOT SO COCKY NOW, HUH?!" Sonic said as he maniacally laughed, effectively scaring Hammerhead, not as he intended.
"YOU HAVE NOW SEEN MY SPEED! OH, I SEE IT!" Sonic shouted, still propelling himself from a tree to another, "I SEE YOU TREMBLING! HOW COULD YOU NOT! I AM, AFTER ALL,"
Sonic then used the last momentum to throw himself into the direction of the tuft-haired teenager, "THE SPEED-O-SOUND SONIC!"
Before Sonic could realise, however, Yagi turned his head backward with a blank stare, "Can we go now?"
Sonic widened his eyes in shock. The horror he saw in the form of Yagi's facial features. It was almost a shivering thought!
"Bastard! WIND BLADE KICK!!!" Sonic shrieked as he spinned his body in the air, using the momentum to slam the teenager in the face with the force of his foot.
Yagi quickly dodged the attack with no effort, unknowingly putting his fist up, "Checkmate." Yagi said triumphantly. What happened next was a ball dropping moment. Literally.
Yagi's fist suddenly made an impact with the storage for Sonic's future children, as Sonic leaped in the air, hiding his pain as he internally screamed.
"Eh?! Sorry! I didn't mean to! I meant to stop before hitting you, but your momentum carried my fist into your...ehm..." Yagi scratched his hair in embarrassment at his blunder, while Hammerhead was visibly trying to hold his laughter back.
"Hey!" Yagi yelled, causing Hammerhead to snap out of his laughing fits, "Stop laughing!"
Hammerhead was immediately silenced by his outburst.
Sonic would not let this stand! This humiliation, this pain, it was beyond any of his comprehension! How?! He was the Speed-O-Sound Sonic, the greatest ninja to ever live! How could a measly child...
"How..." Sonic shiveringly said, as he held his waist, trying to not scream in pain, "I've worked..from being an assassin, to a bodyguard, and now a hero...no ninja is more deadlier than me! I am Speed-O-Sound Sonic! B- but.. I have to put my work on hold! Now that I f- found such a formidable opponent! I have to train until my upmost limits to settle this!"
Sonic gasped for air as he held his urge to scream, the pain still lingering in his..well, his future. He then said, "L- let me know your name!!!"
Yagi wasn't sure to respond, as he was too consumed by the awkwardness of the situation. But he told the ninja hero his name anyways.. "My name's...Yagi Toshinori.."
"YAGI TOSHINORI!" He declared as he put his legs in an odd position, "The next time we meet, that'll be the time your life ends- I mean your defeat will be imminent!"
Yagi stared at him, still not knowing how to respond.
"I, Speed-O-Sound Sonic, the ultimate ninja hero, will bring you down without fail! J- just you wa-" Sonic was interrupted by the sudden jolt of pain in his testicles, "AAAARRGHH! GOD DAMMIT, I HAVE TO GO! YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE LAST OF ME!" Sonic leaped from the ground, disappearing without a trace, leaving the confused and embarrassed Yagi alone with the...scared and also amused-inside Hammerhead.
However, Hammerhead still managed to crack a joke, "His children will feel that in the morning."
However, a fist connected to his face, sending him flying through multiple trees. Yagi's fist were covered with steam, as he spoke, "Woah, that was totally accidental."
Sonic would not stand this humiliation! The child has shown him that even he can be bested! No! He would not let it stand! The thought of him being bested...his pride wouldn't allow that!
However, he can still remember vividly the face Yagi made when he turned his head, showing him that he, THAT CHILD, was somehow faster than Sonic is. He also couldn't forget the pain...THE PAIN, and what's worse is, he still could feel it, although subtle.
And then something interrupted his train of thoughts.
"Did you catch him yet?" Suddenly, a voice came to life through his earpiece.
Sonic was silent for a few seconds, before sighing, "He's already with the police. I'm done, and I'm going home."
"Oh, so much in a rush. What are you going to do anyway? Don't you want to come here for a little bit and-" Agoni was cut off when Sonic spoke, "No. I have something else to do. I'll come back to you later." He then hung up the call, not bothering to ask for compensation. He had one target to pursue. A target that he just declared on this day as his rival, a rival that he must surpass, a rival in the form of a brat.
No, not a brat...a goddamn monster reincarnated as a fucking noodle-haired child.
Sonic grunted, before walking away, "That child.. he'll pay, whoever that is..but I can't help but think that I've seen him somewhere.."
He then pieced the puzzle together as he walked. That kid... "He was that kid from the news..."
Sonic then widened his eyes in realization, "This might be wrong...but is he the one who obliterated those creatures instead of those pathetic top ranking heroes?"
Sonic then continued to propel himself from trees to trees, trying to find a quiet place to meditate, to calm himself down. The experience was...traumatic? No, it wasn't.
Was it?
His pride wouldn't allow him to admit it, but deep inside he knew that he was scared of the kid. He was ridiculously strong, fast, and to find out that he was the one who managed to murder and obliterate all of the creature's that even the strongest heroes couldn't beat...
The thought sends shivers through him. He was terrified. The kid was a monster. A monster that he has to beat. To surpass. He would make sure of it! He will remain supreme!
..."Ouch.." Sonic whimpered in pain as he stopped in a tree trunk, holding his lower body parts. "Damn it, brat.." He grunted, trying to calm himself down by laying in the trunk, taking a deep breath, before drifting himself into a deep sleep.
The Destroyed Mansion..
Yagi escorted the bruised and injured Hammerhead to the police, who thanked him in advance for the assistance.
He was considering to help the injured along with the police, but one of the officers said,
"I appreciate the assistance, kid, but we can't just let you go and try to rescue the injured. Let the paramedics handle this." One of the officers said while putting a cuff on Hammerhead, still a bit shocked that a kid like him managed to capture the terrorist leader.
"Besides, I think the media has scolded you as enough for putting yourself in danger. I know you have spirit, kid, but this isn't the time yet." The other officer added.
Yagi looked at the injured people, some of them had their bones broken, or had a permanent spinal injury. It was a horrible sight to behold.
He sighed, and turned his head to the officers, "Fine. But promise me you'll try your best to save them?"
"We promise, kid. That's our job, after all." The officer said, while giving him a thumbs up and a reassuring smile.
Yagi smiled back slightly, before turning his back, "Thanks, sirs...I appreciate it. I'll be heading home now." He said as he walked away normally, trying to avoid any suspicion about his powers.
The officer shouted, "Wait-?! Ugh, dammit, I was about to ask where the rest of his followers is!"
"Don't bother. He has done enough. The rest is up to us." The other officer spoke. "Fine, I guess." The officer replied as he groaned.
Silence was between them, before the officer decided to break it, "Do you...think that the kid is the one who destroyed those Subterraneans a few days ago? I mean the rumours, even some of those who worked in the HPSC is speculating so."
"Don't know yet. All we can do is wait while they investigate." The other officer said.
"Eh, you're right.." The officer said as he continued his duty.
Meanwhile...
Yagi was still walking, trying to find a quiet place so he can hide his powers. He's on thin ice now. Saving the pro-heroes and intervening in the battle of the Subterraneans a few days ago in front of the media would no doubt bring the attention of countless pro-heroes, even though he disabled the camera's just in time.
If he gets caught, his chances of being a hero...no, his chances of being a pillar to this society would vanish. People needs him. The quirkless, needs him. He needs to keep himself on check and be watchful of his surroundings. He can't let them down, not now, not ever.
And then, suddenly, the smell of iron caught Yagi's nose. It was very suspicious, honestly. He tilted his head, and saw a small public toilet room.
The door to the room was opened, revealing an exhausted dark-haired child. The clothes he wore was simple. He was wearing a simple shoulder length white T-shirt, and a pair of sneakers.
The boy seems to appear to be distressed, and Yagi couldn't help but felt that he needed to approach him. And he did so.
"Hey there, er, kid..." Yagi called out awkwardly. And yes, I'm still bad at this.
The kid didn't seem to be bothered to respond, and walked away. Yagi was persistent, however, as he approached the boy again, unwilling to leave such a young boy alone in the streets, especially with the recent terrorist attack in the city, "Hey, kiddo, it's dangerous around here. Where's your parents?"
The kid scowled, turning his back, "...Are you trying to act like a hero?"
Yagi was taken by surprise by this answer. "What do you mean?"
"I'm no one to you. No need to concern yourself over me." The boy said aggressively again. Yagi was confused on what made the boy so angry, so he just followed along without saying anything.
"Why are you still following me?" The boy asked in annoyance. "I can't leave you alone out here in the streets." Yagi answered.
The boy sighed in exasperation, "Just get lost already! I don't need your help! You got other things to do, yes? Do you help your parents out? Do you care for your siblings? Don't tell me you left them just because you wanted to help a stranger like me?"
Yagi was frozen in place as the boy finished that sentence. It was true. He left his mother for the heroics. The boy was making baseless assumptions, but he was...kinda right.
I get the feeling that this kid is experiencing the same...except it's the opposite.
"Well?" The boy asked again.
Yagi finally responded, "No, no, it's not like that. See, I was just..well, walking home," That wasn't a lie, so, no need to feel bad about it. Yagi thought, "But I saw you passing nearby, and you looked rather young, I..uh, I just wanted to help you, and no, of course I'm not leaving my, uh, parents.." Okay that was a lie, but anything to help this kid. He needs to go home already, it's dangerous out here.
"If that's the case, then go home already. Don't follow me. I want to go somewhere. Anywhere. Alone. I don't want anyone following me." The boy said, and Yagi could've sworn that he noticed the boy was on the verge of sobbing, but held it back in.
"What's..wrong? Are you okay?" Yagi asked again, concern filling him.
"None of your business." The boy said as he quickly wiped his eyes. He then walked away.
Yagi was concerned for the boy's well-being. He shouldn't leave him here, but he felt like he was being more of an annoyance than actually being helpful.
"Fine. At least just let me escort you..to the police." Yagi said. "To the police? Did you even hear what I just said? I want some time alone." The boy replied again.
"That's dangerous. Kids your age should be with their parents instead of walking the streets alone. Whatever the problem is, you need to go back to your house and talk to your parents about it." Yagi replied.
The boy clenched his fist, showing visible anger, but didn't say anything afterwards.
"First thing first then.." Yagi finally asked, "What's your name?"
The boy stared at him for a moment while he walked, before sighing, "Fine, fine, as long as you shut up for a second, I'll tell you." The boy then revealed, "Just call me Kotarou."
THAT'S FOR TODAY'S CHAPTER! Oh wait, what's that? Is that Kotarou? Shimura Kotarou? Did I leave you on a cliffhanger? Hehehe, stay tuned for the next chapter to see what happens next!
(Also, a little bit of info, some of the past chapters might get rewritten to fit in with this story.)
NEW AUTHOR NOTES: The bits with Sonic has been altered and edited. You can always read the changed parts to see the difference. It was a suggestion by AnimeFan and I kinda listened to him, because it seemed like a good idea. Thanks!
