Hey everyone,
When I originally posted this story it was in honour of a girl called Emily who was suffering a rare form of cancer. After writing and publishing this piece (which was quite some time) we stumbled upon the truth—Emily was a lie fabricated by an extremely abhorrent and deceitful person aimed to, presumably, deceive us into creating content they'd like to read.
While I don't particularly want to update the other earlier chapters to detach her name from the story as I still believe Emily, real or fake, brought various communities and community members together to try and create something to ease the pain of a young girl, I'd like to add one.
In loving memory of my beautiful mum, who recently lost her battle to cancer. This story and all those that precede and follow are steeped in the loving memory of all you taught me, and all the times we had.
And while I'm sorry to deceive you into thinking another chapter had been added, I'd like to stress the importance of spending time with those we love because one day it all seems like it was never enough.
