Jamie reaches toward her uncle's face to wipe a tear from his cheek. He was about to pull back but he saw the fear and worry within his niece's eyes and decided to remain calm and accept the girl's sudden sense of care and felt compassion and finally seemed to feel sorrow and regret for what he had done to his young niece. She had gotten through to him but he knew he couldn't be accepted by the residents of Haddonfield. He knew his niece still cared about him despite his evil nature.

His niece teared up now. "I'm... not accepted either... people despise me for being your niece… They call me the evil child..." Michael heard this and realised he ruined his family's life... He spared his little sister when they were younger... She was innocent and so was Jamie. He knew in his heart he didn't choose to be evil… Something or someone had encouraged him to be… Maybe he could start a ne- Suddenly Loomis rushed in and shot at Michael. "No!"

Jamie would have gotten through to him and now he was about to be killed. "Don't shoot him!" Loomis heard this and went wide eyed. "You... Sympathize with this evil?"

He had a thought back to when Jamie tried to kill her foster mom. "This whole family must die..." He aimed his gun at Jamie when suddenly his hand was chopped off by Michael. He wasn't gonna let his niece be hurt by the true monster... Loomis. Ever since he was a kid Loomis had beaten evilness into his mind.

Jamie watched her uncle kill the man who had tried to kill her. The police would begin to try and enter. "Michael, we have to run..." She told her uncle and he nodded, putting his mask on and taking his niece's hand and leaving the house protecting his niece as gunshots were fired at him of course not affecting him as he killed the ones shooting at him. "The police car Michael!" She exclaimed and he would give a soft nod, getting into the driver's seat and her getting in the backseat. They drove out of Haddonfield.

Blue Oyster Cult's Don't fear the reaper would play over radio as they drove past the town's limits. For the first time in forever… Michael has left Haddonfield. Jamie would be nervous still looking at her uncle in the front seat. She didn't know exactly if she could trust her but she wanted to believe in her uncle.. Of course she was nervous. For the last couple years she lived in fear… But now he was protecting her… Why? She would decide to ask him. "Why… Why are you protecting me?" She asked him now nervously but ever so curious.

No response would be given from the masked man. "W-Why don't you ever speak?" She would ask again… No response. More awkward silence would ensue until another song on the radio came on. "like the wind, you came here running, take the consequence of leaving…" She heard the lyrics play on the radio. It was an odd uneasy feeling that followed the songs playing. As if something was missing as if she felt a presence like something was being... Forgotten… "Paranoid anyways in the subways of your mind…" The song would continue to interrupt her thoughts as she shrugged and turned away from the window and back to her uncle in the front seat.

Meanwhile…

Dr. Loomis sat up slowly. He was far too old for this and fairly injured. The cops arrived at the house finding dead cops and Loomis with 6 stab wounds to the chest and a missing hand. The police would call an ambulance who would bring Loomis to a hospital to treat his wounds. And you know… His whole missing hand debacle. They wrapped his hand up and did there best to treat his wounds. It was lucky he even survived the attack from The Boogeyman. He vowed in his hospital bed that night to kill the Myers legacy once and for all. He chose not to inform the police of his knowledge of the young Jamie's whereabouts.

Once fully healed he himself will go searching for the two… If he could even walk, that is. "I need to make a call…" He would say to the nurse who would provide him with a phone. "Ah Keri Tate.. I know you wish me not to contact you but…" He would groan sitting up in the hospital bed. "Since you've gone into witness protection there's no way for me to inform you any other way… You're daughter… Has been abducted by… Him…" He would leave the last part ambiguous but the woman on the other line had gotten the message.

"I don't have a daughter, just a son…" The woman would hang up though she knew she had to do something. Her son was born in 1980 along with a girl… a daughter she had abandoned after fear of not being able to protect the two children… So in 1982 she had faked her death to put one child in foster care and bring herself and her son to a new home away from the evil that once plagued her. But she knew running from the past meant nothing in this world… The past always came to find you…

And while the Niece and Uncle drove away from Illinois and through the roads and cities over the coming days… They came across a new town… Summer Glen… California. A seemingly normal place that no one would suspect a murderer and his niece to be at, As long as Michael and Jamie stayed under the radar they would remain safe. Michael felt sort of… at east with the new town had a familiarity to it. Something had drawn them there. But it didn't matter much to him as he wanted to keep Jamie safe and had only brought them as far away from Illinois as he could. Nobody outside of Illinois even knew or cared about the legend of Michael Myers… Right?
