Halloween: The Boogyman.
What were your childhood fears? The monster under the bed...the monster in the closet...or simply being afraid of the dark? Most kids outgrow these fears at an early age. But for some, the fears hang on longer. Take 8-year old Tommy Doyle. Like many children his age, Tommy believed a monster was out to get him. And like many parents, Tommy's Mom and Dad kept assuring him that monsters weren't real. But on October 31st, they would be proven wrong...along with every other parent in Tommy's home-town, Haddonfield, Illinois.
Throughout the years, October 31st had been seen as a night of dark celebration when the spirits of the dead returned to wreak havoc on the living. It was a night more mischief, wicked pranks, black cats and witches. However, as superstition faded and the night became one of fun of dressing up, bobbing for apples and begging for candy, the sinister side slowly faded away until something happened.
This was October 31st-1978.
The night that HE was proven real.
That night, he tore a bloody rampage through the town of Haddonfield. And suddenly, Trick-or-Treating was lethal again.
HE was the Boogyman.
And the night...was Halloween.
Everyone has a Halloween they'll always remember. And this...was Tommy Doyle's.
