(5)-Parent-Teacher Meeting.

Meanwhile, inside the 3rd grade class-room, Ronnie and Stephanie were sitting in chairs in front of Miss Sherman's desk, looking at Tommy's drawing of the Boogyman that Ronnie was holding, with Miss Sherman sitting at her desk. After the kids had been dismissed for Recess, she called Tommy's Dad and requested that he and his wife meet with her, concerning their son and his scary story he shared with the class.

"We appreciate your concern, Miss Sherman." Stephanie said.

"To be honest, i still don't know what the big deal is. So he told a ghost story and a little girl got scared." Ronnie said.

"The big deal, Mr. Doyle, is that Tommy felt the need to tell me and the entire class that he's being stalked by something evil in your house. Now, these dark, ghoulish actions are usually signs of a bigger problem." Miss Sherman said.

"But there haven't been any problems. At least not this year." Stephanie said.

"Are there any issues at home? Is your marriage in trouble? Or perhaps it's a result in the change of medicine." Miss Sherman said.

Ronnie and Stephanie just looked at Miss Sherman.

"I mean no disrespect, Mr. and Mrs. Doyle." Miss Sherman said.

"Listen...he's starting to feel like himself again. We took him off the pills because we don't think he's at risk of sleep-walking and wandering off again like he did last year." Ronnie explained.

Last year, on the night of September 30th-1977, went missing and was found two days later by police in the Haddonfield forest in his pajamas on the morning of October 3rd. The cops took him to the hospital where his parents met up with him and had him checked out. It was later revealed by Tommy's male doctor that he had been sleep-walking and had wandered away from home while doing so. With both parents afraid that their son might sleep-walk and wander away from home again, they decided to get him on some no sleep-walking pills. And they worked. Finally, after 11 months of no sleep-walking activity, they took Tommy off the pills on September 30th of this year. There hadn't been a single sleep-walking episode since then. "I mean, this drawing isn't some kind of disguised plea for help. If anything, there's real talent here, we should be encouraging this." He said, showing the drawing to Miss Sherman.

"I'm not denying his talent, Mr. Doyle, but that could be the problem. Tommy may be seeking refuge in his imagination. It might be a good time to set up a clinical re-evaluation. I can set up an appointment with the school therapist." Miss Sherman said.

"Oh. You mean you're not accredited?" Stephanie said.

Miss Sherman just looked at the Doyle couple.

"That won't be necessary. Alright, we'll monitor his TV-time, we'll watch what he eats, limit the sugar. Alright, this won't happen again." Ronnie assured.

"These kinds of acts cannot be taken lightly. I feel they are indicative of one...or two things. Either Tommy is working through the trauma of what happened to him last year with the sleep-walking incident...or...you have a monster living in your house." Miss Sherman said.
