(6)-The Doyle Residence.

Tommy and Logan sped through the neighborhood on their bikes as Lonnie, Richie, Keith and many other boys from 3rd grade chased after them, with Tommy holding a strapped book in his right hand by the strap while it held into the right handle-bar. School had just ended and all of the kids had gone home for the day. Well, all except for Lonnie, Richie, Keith and the other boys chasing Tommy and Logan to beat them up because of Tommy's show and tell. Ever since he was 4, Tommy had been afraid of the Boogyman. And now that the other kids in his class had found out...he really had something to fear.

The Doyle residence came into view and Tommy and Logan sped towards the home on their bikes, leaving Lonnie, Richie, Keith and the other boys behind, who were still pursuing them. Tommy and Logan arrived at the Doyle house, got off their bikes, allowing them to fall on the grass-covered ground, and they ran up the steps, onto the porch, and rushed inside the house, with Tommy quickly closing the door and locking it. Both boys breathed heavily as they leaned up against the door.

"Man, oh, man. That was close." Tommy panted, relieved that he and Logan were inside his house safe and un-harmed. Lonnie, Richie, Keith and the other boys had likely given up catching them and had gone home for the day.

"Yeah. Too close." Logan added, panting and agreeing with his friend.

"Eh-hem." Came two voice.

Tommy and Logan looked and saw Ronnie and Stephanie sitting at the dinner-table.

"Oh. Hi, Mr. and Mrs. Doyle." Logan greeted as he and Tommy stopped leaning up against the door.

"Hi, Logan." Stephanie said. "Hey, Tommy."

"Hi, Mom, hi, Dad." Tommy said.

"Hey, Logan." Ronnie asked before getting Tommy's drawing of the Boogyman off the table and showing it to Logan. "Did you have anything to do with this?"

"No, Mr. Doyle. Not this one, i promise." Logan said.

"Tommy?" Stephanie said.

"I don't wanna talk about it." Tommy said.

"I thought we were done with all the Boogyman business." Ronnie said.

"We are." Tommy said.

"Then why would you scare the entire 3rd grade?" Ronnie asked.

Tommy looked at Logan.

"Mr. Doyle, it was Lonnie. He tricked Tommy into doing it." Logan said.

"Tommy, is that true?" Ronnie asked.

"Yeah." Tommy said.

"Ugh! That dang Lonnie." Stephanie said. Lonnie and his two friends, Richie and Keith had been tormenting Tommy since the 1st grade in 1975. She and Ronnie had done everything to try to get the bullying to stop. They tried talking to the school principal, who did nothing. They tried talking to all three boys' parents, nothing ever became of that. Then Ronnie decided that it would be best to just let Tommy fight his own battles like a real man should. And though reluctant, Stephanie agreed.

Ronnie got up from the table and went over to where Tommy and Logan were. "This is worth framing." He said, referring to the drawing. "Hold onto it, okay?" He said as he handed it to Tommy.

"So what time is your sister picking you up, Logan?" Stephanie asked.

"I think my Mom said around 7:00." Logan answered.

"That's not a lot of time, we gotta get goin'. Come on." Tommy said. "We'll be in my room." He said as he and Logan rushed upstairs.

Ronnie turned to Stephanie. "He seems okay to me."

"He's out of control." Stephanie said.

"Tommy's just going through a phase that all kids under 10 go through." Ronnie said.

"No. Elem." Stephanie said, calling Lonnie by his last name.

"Are we afraid to call him by his first name now?" Ronnie asked.

"The only monster terrorizing our son is in the form of that 10-year old boy." Stephanie said, referring to Lonnie.

"Monster?" Ronnie asked.

"Lonnie is not the only one to blame here. You are too." Stephanie said.

"Me?" Ronnie asked.

"Yes, you. It's your dumb story. The Boogyman?" Stephanie said.

"It was a dumb story, i'll admit. But that's all it is, i swear." Ronnie said.

"I'd like to see you get that through Tommy's head." Stephanie stated.
...

Later, upstairs in Tommy's room, he and Logan sat on the floor Indian style, with Logan holding Tommy's electric Dragonfly drone and looking at it. Tommy, meanwhile, was holding the drone's controller.

"Dude this thing is killer!" Logan said excitedly as he looked at the Dragonfly drone he was holding. "You never told me you had a drone."

"Yeah, i just got it yesterday. Wanna see something even cooler? Sit it down on the floor." Tommy said.

Logan placed the drone down on the floor.

"Ready?" Tommy asked. The 8-year old then used the controller to make the Dragonfly drone flap it's wings and ascend into the air, followed by flying into Logan's hands.

"Whoa! Dude, that was awesome!" Logan said excitedly. "This...changes...everything."

"Logan, your sister's here with her boyfriend, Bob!" Came the voice of Stephanie from downstairs.

Logan looked at the clock on Tommy's night-stand and saw that it was now 7:00 o'clock. "I gotta go." He said before placing the drone back on the floor and getting to his feet.

"Wanna phone-chat later?" Tommy asked.

"Can't. My Mom's got me on lock-down for today." Logan said.

"Again? I told you secretly recording Lynda while she was doing her cheerleading dances wasn't a good idea." Tommy said.

"What can i say? I like to humiliate my sister." Logan said.

"Walkies?" Tommy asked as he picked up a near-by walkie-talkie.

"Sure. Peace out." Logan said before he ran out of the room, closing the door afterwards.

"Tommy, time for dinner!" Stephanie called from downstairs.

"Coming!" Tommy said before he placed the drone's controller and the walkie-talkie on the floor, followed by getting to his feet and rushing out of his room to head downstairs for dinner. After that, he would get started on his home-work. It would take long to complete, as he only had one book. Also, he had at least two more hours left before bed-time, so he had enough time.
