(14)-Origin Of The Boogyman.
The once eerie white sky had turned marble-gray, with storm-clouds rolling in from the west as Tommy, Logan and 9-year old Timmy Mackenzie rode through the neighborhood on their bikes.
Timmy had long dark brown neck-length hair, brown eyes, he wore a blue short sleeve shirt with a pale blue collar, a gold neckless, pale blue stripes on his sleeves, a pale blue stripe at the bottom of the shirt, dark blue pants, and he wore white sneakers.
"Hey, can i please have my Superman action figure back, please?" Tommy asked Logan, referring to the action figure he let Logan borrow last week.
"Sure. First thing tomorrow at school." Logan answered.
"Uh-oh. Look who's coming this way." Timmy said as Tommy and Logan looked back at him.
Tommy and Logan looked up ahead and saw Holly riding towards them on her bike that had a basket in the front of it.
"Oh, no. She knows i go bike-riding with you now." Logan said to Tommy.
"She's not that bad." Tommy assured.
"Not that bad? Dude, she's a girl." Timmy said.
"So?" Tommy asked.
"Sooooo...girls are the enemy." Timmy answered.
"If you say so." Tommy said. Holly rode up to him and the other two boys, making all three of them stop their bikes, and she stopped her's right in front of them. "Hey, Holly."
"Tommy, are you okay?" Holly asked.
"Yeah. Why wouldn't i be?" Tommy said.
"I think the Boogyman came to our school today." Holly said.
"Holly, you can't pretend to see something just to be my friend." Tommy said.
"I'm not pretending, i saw you and Logan staring at him out the window in class today." Holly said.
Tommy's stomach dropped after hearing those words. So he hadn't imagined all of it. The Boogyman really had come to his school...had briefly followed him while he was headed home...and had stood outside his bedroom window on the front lawn. Up until now, he thought it was just his imagination running away with him or that it was just immature grown-up playing a Halloween prank. He had hoped to high Heaven that his parents were right about the Boogyman not being real and that it really was all in his head. But it wasn't. If Logan and Holly had seen the Boogyman at school too, then that meant it was no longer a nightmare. It was now reality.
Holly reached into her bike's basket and got out from printed papers. "Here, read these." She said, handing Tommy the papers. "I think the Boogyman was someone who lived here once in Haddonfield."
Tommy looked at the papers, which turned out to be old News paper articles that Holly had printed up. The words at the top of the first page read MONSTER! FRANK N. STINER ARRESTED. "Suspected in the disappearances of five young boys since 1940, Frank N. Stiner was arrested on Halloween night-1943, after the skeleton clothed remains of the missing boys were found buried under the basement of his house. In 1944, he was found guilty of all five murders and sentenced to life in prison"." Tommy said, reading the article. He then looked at Holly.
"Read the next one." Holly said.
Tommy moved the page and saw another News article that displayed the image of an all too familiar house. On the page was none other than a picture of the Myers house. "On Halloween night-1948, Frank N. Stiner disappeared after escaping prison. Authorities have not been able to locate him since"." He said, reading the next article.
"Analysis complete. Eh, eh. Human crazy." Logan said, imitating a robot.
"Logan, you gotta listen. This is serious." Holly said. "As we know, the Stiner's home is the spook-house here in Haddonfield, which use to belong to the Myers family back in the 60s. I think that's where the Boogyman's existence started." She explained. "I gotta go. My Mom's waiting on me to get back home and get dressed for Trick-or-Treating. Bye." The 7-year old little girl said before taking the papers back from Tommy, putting them back in her basket, followed by turning around on her bike and riding off down the street, heading back home.
"Man. And i thought you had issues." Logan said.
"We gotta go check this out." Tommy said.
"I thought he lived in your basement." Logan said, referring to the Boogyman.
"You guys, this could be a source." Tommy said.
"A source of what?" Timmy asked.
