Alternate Dreams: The Epilogue

A/N Ok so this is the epilogue, Enjoy!

It had been a year since the engagement party turned soap opera and life was good for Rory and Logan. Roughly six months after the event from hell as it was lovingly referred to they got married in secret with only Emily, Richard, Christopher, Francine, Finn, Colin, Paris, Honor, Josh, and Mitchum. The couple chose to elope to New Hampshire, a small inn that Rory had once had a dream about, and actually, Colin had chosen to buy it as an investment in their memories. Lane had been invited but due to the twins she couldn't make it to the event, the subsequent party however was catered for by Sookie and Hep Alien played, it was a great night all about the happy couple and the Townies who arrived rubbed shoulders with the creme-de-la-creme of Hartford Society almost flawlessly.

Lorelai had left Stars Hollow soon after the engagement party after selling the Inn with Sookie's ok to the Durham group for a little less than they would have got before the engagement party blow up, she had practically disappeared and no one tried to contact her apart from Rory and Logan sending their wedding announcement with a comment of 'if you show up we won't be happy.

Jess had been arrested for assault at the engagement party and he didn't fight it, taking a plea deal of three years probation and a restraining order from Lorelai Leigh Gilmore and the Huntzberger family. He hadn't been heard of since.

Lindsey and Seth got on so well that they were still together and she was living with him in New York. It had become well known that for years she had hated Rory for sleeping with her then-husband until it had become apparent to Lindsey that the Brigade knew the true story, and it had come out in a game of Never Have I Ever. When it was made clear that Dean had lied to Rory and Rory was naive enough to believe him Lindsey forgave Rory, they even met up to go to lunch occasionally as their offices were fairly close together. Both women moved on with their lives.

The decision to elope came from the feeling of Logan and Rory wanting to avoid the drama that had encapsulated the previous event. It also came down to the fact that due to a birth control mix up Rory and Logan were expecting their first child and wanted to get married so that they could officially start their lives together and get ready for their new arrival.

It was in this vein that a heavily pregnant Rory was pottering around the newly furnished nursery in their penthouse when Logan came home one night, she had mostly been working from home mostly for Hayden, answering questions and emails but easing off slightly as her due date was only two weeks away. Logan found her reclining in the rocking chair that Luke had built for their nursery and for the thousandth time he thanked every god and Star out there that she was his.

In the back of his head, he also thanked God for sending her that nightmare all those months ago, and for the alternate dreams that she had acted on.

I want to thank everyone who has left reviews and comments on this. It is greatly humbling and wonderful to get your comments and feedback and please continue to read and review, it helps motivate me with my writing. I have plans to adjust 'Late' into something a little longer, but for now, it is adieu.

Thanks Annie xoxo
