I made a correction to chapter 2 after I posted. Did anyone catch it?

Chapter 3
Just as Rory asked. The five of them were lazing around the house. If you did not know, you could never tell that a birthday party happened at this house last night. Rory and Logan were cuddled up on the sofa in the family room watching a movie and reading. The twins are on the floor, playing a board game while the movie plays in the background. Mia is sitting, well more like laying in a chair with her earbud listening to music while texting on her phone, also with the movie in the background.
There was food everywhere, popcorn, twisters, chocolate, soda, and pizza. The group went to brunch at the club. They were now just enjoying being in each other's company. A cell phone starts ringing from upstairs. Rory looks at Logan. He gets up to find the phone.
"It better not be work," Rory said as Logan is halfway up the stairs. This gets the attention of the other 3 in the room. Logan was upstairs for longer than Rory thought he should be. She got up to go upstairs. She finds Logan on the phone in the bedroom. It is her phone. When she walks in; he acknowledges her but puts his finger to his lips.
"Thanks for letting us know. ….Yeah you too." he ended the call and looked up at Rory. "That was Lane," Logan said and patted the bed beside him. "She called to let you know that Taylor Dorsey died last night." Rory went pale. She had already had enough deaths in her life, she did not know why this one was affecting her. She was sad that Taylor was dead. He had been a pillar of Stars Hollow and she didn't know if Stars Hollow would survive without Taylor.
Logan put his arm around Rory and she laid her head on his shoulder. Before either, one of them could say anything the doorbell rings. Then they hear someone running up the stairs. Logan looks at Rory with an eyebrow raised. She shook her head. She didn't know. They get up to see what is going on. They found Mia coming out of her room. She had changed clothes.
Rory and Logan exchanged looks.
"Mia, sweetheart," Rory said, stopping her in her tracks. "You want to tell us what is going on?" Mia turned around.
"Ryan is here," Mia tells her mom. Before Rory could answer, Logan asked.
"Ryan Ashby? Jon and Lizzy's son?" Logan asked. Rory took Logan's hand to stop him from going downstairs.
"Mia, stay in the family room," Rory said. As Mia headed down the stairs. "Mia," Rory said and Mia stopped. "Did you invite him over?" Rory asked.
"He asked what I was doing, I told him nothing, He asked if I wanted to hang. I said yeah, come over, we can watch a movie." Mia said. Rory looked at her, she had a look of anticipation on her face. Rory nodded her head and Mia hurried down the stairs.
"Ace," Logan said looking at her. She leads him back to their bedroom. "Ace, I don't like this. She just invites a guy over? No, We are not starting that."
"Sweetie, listen to me. Mia is 16 years old. She is a Junior in High School. She gets good grades. You can not keep her locked up. You are the one that insisted we buy her a car." Rory said.
"What's her having a car got to do with this?" Logan asked Rory.
"Babe, would you rather they sit at the house and watch a movie with us. Or Her to meet him uptown somewhere?" Rory asked.
"Are those my only choices?" Logan asked. Rory laughed. Pulled his arm for him to get off the bed.
"We are going downstairs. You are going to be nice and not embarrass her." She looked Logan in the eye. "Please?" Logan nodded.
Logan and Rory entered the family room. Ryan and Mia were sitting in the oversize chair that Mia had been laying on earlier. They each had an earbud in an ear and by the way, they were moving their heads, they were listening to music. The twins were still playing a board game, but they are now bickering.
Before Logan and Rory could take a seat on the sofa, Logan walked to the drink cart and started pouring himself a scotch.
"Ace, can I get you anything, a glass of wine?" Logan asked. Rory turned to look at him. "Ryan how about you? Mia?" Mia took her earbud out and looked at Logan.
"I can get us a coke. Do you want a coke, Ryan?" Mia asked as she got up to go to the basement where the snacks and drinks are located. Logan fixed his drink and poured Rory a glass of wine.
When Mia returned, she had 2 cokes and a couple of straws. She sat back down and they continued to listen to music. The twins asked if they could go downstairs to play. When they renovated, the basement became a movie theater/game room. It also had a fully stocked kids' bar. The adult bar is under lock and key. Eventually, Mia and Ryan moved down to the basement. Logan could hear them playing video games.
Rory tells Logan about the talk she had with Mia. About the breakup with Chad. Logan wasn't too happy about Mia dating, but Rory would not let him lock her up. They allowed group dates during the day when she was 14, double dates when she turned 15. It was the 16th year that Logan and Mia started fussing all the time. Rory assured that it is normal for a 16-year old and her dad to fuse. Rory told him to always make sure she knew that he loved her.
When it got close to supper time, Rory went to the basement and asked Ryan if he would like to stay for supper. He agreed. She told him to call his parents. Rory went back up and ordered pizza for the group.
