Prologue

The world of Attack on Titan is different here. History is rather altercated, and therefore the story is different.

Well over 100 years ago, the world was dominant by a cursed race called The Eldians A race that was unique for their ability to transform into titans and used their power to conquer, rule and torture the rest of humanity who were under their control. No one knew how the Eldians were able to become titans, not even the people of the Eldians themselves knew bar their King and his 8 other Noble households leaders that helped rule over the other parts of the world.

The king and the 8 leaders were able to transform into very power titans. All wielding their own unique ability. However, the world retaliated and united as one to stop them. It was challenging, but, eventually the world succeeded and prevailed... In mercy, the King Karl Fritz begged for forgiveness and wished to amend for their wrong doing... Even if it meant sacrificing his own people for years to come...

And the king does just that, selecting a few minority of survivors to be exiled to a remote island. The rest, were turned into titans or were slaughtered by other nations as a peace offering, wiping Eldians close to extinction. The world, was still not happy for the past centuries of torture that they went through. Until there was one man who brought forward a cruel concept which sets the course of time of how the last survivors of Eldians on how they should be treated. A slow, gradual yet a horrible form of treatment. A way of amusement and entertainment as the world gradually lessens the population of the Eldians, but, still maintaining a small number of this race in order to remind the world of their wrath and cursed ways.

This was the beginning of the dreadful concept to commence known as 'The Titan Games.'

Where the King agreed along with the 8 other leaders to sacrifice and pass down their powers onto unlucky candidates in orde to play this wager...

Those candidates are responsible for their lives, as well as their hometown they represent.

A game no Eldian dare dreams to take part in...

You're either viewed as the hero... Or can be the very reason the Eldians hate you.

Either way...

You'll cause the death of many regardless.

Chapter Three

An Unexpected Farewell

Everything was go, go, go. Yelena was leading the three candidates through the exit of the stage, connected by a short tunnel that once they walked out there were right at the exit of the gate of the walls. It was then the three realised they were leaving Shiganshina and Paradis completely, the opening darkening them under it's shadow until they walked to the other side. There awaited them was four soldiers, two standing at each side holding electric tasers. The three taking the hint not to attempt to run unless they wanted to get shocked. There was so much commotion, soldiers informing each other that the candidates have left the stage to start watching them and prepare for departure. Yelena was leading the three to a airship that was awaiting them, it was nothing they never seen before. In fact in their world they weren't aware of cars just yet. Its craft whose propellers are mounted next to a large compartment nearly 2/3rds as long as the airship's frame. The bridge, machine guns, and carrying areas are all in one compartment under the ship as it rested on the , it's bridge out on the ground ready to collect those who walked inside of it.

As Eren and the two individual who he hasn't had a chance to pay attention to were alarmed by the 10 soldiers spilt in half, standing just by the bridge of the ship in a line, aiming their guns at the candidates. It was unsettling, why were they looking to shoot them. Eren stopped, was this a trap? The two individuals remained to walk behind Yelena, but froze as the soldiers turned their guns on Eren. Yelena, not even startled chuckled as she still faced the airship,

"Eren...it'll be better if you walked a couple more steps if you're worried about them."

"Why do they have those things at me then?" Eren retorted, it, trying to find the courage to not feel defenceless.

"They do it as a precaution, now stop winding them up." Yelena's voice darkened, resuming her steps to go into the aircraft.

Amin and Mikasa turned away from Eren and followed. Eren felt to do the same, trying to shrug of the 10 weapons who could kill him in seconds. They walk into the airship door. First entered Yelena, then Armin timidly, Mikasa emotionlessly and Eren curiously. The door was rolled forcefully shut, the noise of it slamming made the three face just nothing but an steel door. Inside was stingy, almost like a prison cell. The pipes just above their heads. The space wasn't big, and by the end of each side were other steel doors. Yelena hummed to herself, walking to the stools faced in front of her. Three spaced out with two chains hanging above them each and gestured,

"Please, sit down. You'll be here for quite a while."

Mikasa was the first to move, sitting on the forest chair to the left. Armin and Eren looked at each other for the first time, unsure who would sit where. The blonde hair nods himself voluntarily, sitting beside the girl that left the chair to the right available for Eren who sits down straight after.

"Alright, the other candidates are already here.. So luckily for you, you didn't have to sit here all day." Yelena smiled, walking over to Mikasa and whips out keys from her pocket and began to lock Mikasa's wrists onto the chained wall.

"Why... Are you chaining us up?" Mikasa, speaking for the first time softly asked, her grey eyes soft to avoid sounding confrontational.

"Again, precaution. At the end of the day, we don't know you very well... Until we do... We have to make sure you stay put."

Armin allows himself to be chained, not questioning the act. Whereas when Yelena makes it to Eren who shifted slightly.

"Eren... You are something. I be careful if I were you... If you keep this up, you'll be a memorable target." Smirking as Yelena locked the first chain to his wrist

Eren takes the hint and tried to remain still, hating the fact he was becoming receptive to this unfair treatment. Suddenly, the door to Eren's right shoulder cranks open, revealing a solider along with a figure Eren could help but gasp out,

"Dad!?"

"Eren!" Grisha, holding documents in his hand as he followed the solider into the room, about to run to his son over but the Soilder in front shoulder barged him and ordered in a drone like tone;

"Stay back, devil."

"Ah, that's cute. Not often you see a wee family visit so early. I better not let the other subjects know because they could get jealous." Yelena tutted, looking at Armin and Mikasa who were shocked to see Eren's father making an appearance. "Are those for me?"

Grisha looked at the documents in his hand, the health files back from his clinic. This was why he was early, arranging everything out so he could collect whoever was chosen and bring them forward. Yelena walked up, opening her hand to take them as Eren's father sighed them over. The father looked rough, making Eren feel like crap even though it was his parents who tried to stop the soldiers from taking him. The tall women, towering over Grisha started to read them, grunting away at the elements that were important to her.

"Alright, they seem fit enough. Though I'd check the blonde ones because it looks like he's about to have cardiac arrest."

The only other blonde head was Armin, feeling sheepish for his reactions. It was evident he was truly petrified on what laid ahead of them, his eyes look to Grisha for a moment and saw the man felt sorry for him before he turned away. Yelena hands the documents back to Grisha sighing,

"Well, you can get going now. Since you're here, might as well say goodbye to your son!" Yelena offered, seeing Grisha was about to take a step forward and smirked devilishly as she snapped her fingers, causing the soldiers to snatch onto Dr Yeager tightly, "Changed your mind, get out!"

"DAD!" Eren shouts, pulling himself to stand and tried to chase for his father, but was stopped by the chains preventing him to do so, "LET GO OF HIM! WHERE'S MUM?! DAD!"

"EREN! YOU MUST KEEP MOVING FORWARD! NO MATTER WHAT!" Grisha, trying to break free from the soldiers as they pushed him back through where he came, "YOU MUST PUSH FORWAARD!"

The door slammed, leaving the four in the room once again. Yelena, finding all of this truly enjoyable rolled her eyes to the chained candidates.

"Sorry Eren, blame them too... I was thinking on their behave...They would've got jealous."

There Yelena aimed the poor individuals beside Eren, eyeing Yelena subtly as if they were saying, 'keep us out of this.' But Eren knew better and was furious at the way Yelena was treating them. It was so passively offensive, mentally poking at their patience. Suddenly, the air began to shift, almost like floor was taking off.

"Oh, and we're off, leaving Paradis! Consider yourself lucky, not many Eldians have seen the outside world in over 100 years! We should arrive in Marley by tomorrow. SO... please, sit back and relax. Sadly we don't provide food in here. Hope you had breakfast this morning because it'll be a while yet before your next meal."

Eren watched Yelena float her way to the opposite end of the room, stopping herself to think if she had anything else to say. Of course she did, turning around and said,

"Oh yes! Your Guide will come to meet you at some point! You'll be happy to know he once lived in Shiganshina. Word of advice, better get on with him . Guides are often assumed to be a good thing. But if they don't like you, they can lead you to your death."

The door opened, and then the door slammed shut. Only to leave Eren, Mikasa and Armin quietly in the room as they sat on their chair chained to the walls. If it was shitty now, Eren had no idea what the next few days will be like. They all sit silently, unsure on how to act, feel or do. The numbness was their primary emotion, the uncertainty and the questionable fate that lies ahead of them. Each of them, had their own separate thought. One that Eren didn't know bar his own, thinking back to his mother crying by the windowsill of his home, to then his father grabbing him close before the soldiers dragged him away. Then finally all Elidians of Shiaganshina district looking at him pity. This was only the beginning. Suddenly Eren remembers his father's last words, they were strange and rather different compared to what he thought Grisha could've said, especially if he never makes it out alive form the Titan Games.

"EREN YOU MUST KEEP MOVING FORWARD! NO MATTER WHAT! YOU MUST PUSH FORWAARD!"

It was more like advice, rather than a farewell.
