"Commander Erwin!" The scouts in the audience shout all at once seeing their leader shot. Captain Levi throws a small explosive on the ground and it creates a loud, bell like sound which rings through the internment zone. From the top of the buildings scouts jump out from their hiding spots ready for battle. This was Erwin's doubling down. As soon as news of the meeting reached Eldia he sent scouts in advanced which infiltrated Marley as regular people and sneaked inside Liberio in case it was a trap.
"Not here, do not transform! You'll trample everyone inside the internment zone. Let the civilians flee beforehand!" Levi orders Eren to wait but Leo using his crystal powers creates a platform and jumps on the stage.
"Murderer!" Leo shouts jumping at Willy who was trying to kill him with his gun. Three hits pass through Leo's lungs but he doesn't even flinch burning with rage. Lightning passes through his wounds and his eyes glow red with anger. He jumps on top of Willy and pins him to the ground chocking him.
"Why brother? Why must you always show your true colours? I've seen it, I've seen the betrayal, you've sold Eldia to Marley for power! I've swore not to hate you for your ancestors' actions but now, there is no man in this world I want dead more than you Willy Tybur!"
"Brother? You dare speak on behalf of my sister? Why did my children had to die?"
"It was an accident! I fell over the building fighting the Warhammer titan, I did not killed them, I put them to sleep and gathered them in one room."
"For what?"
"I would have eaten you all to get the Warhammer titan... and I would have done this world a favour! There are questions I've asked myself time and time again. Why can so few people turn into titans, why are Eldians a dying ethnicity although we had an empire two hundred years ago. I've travelled the world and I found the answer but I want it out of your mouth! Admit it, you sold the Eldians for profit, you became the rulers of Marley on the back of your brethren, kin-slayer, treacherous filth!" Leo spits Willy chocking him just hard enough for Willy to say a few words before death.
"Yes." That's what Willy says before letting Leo strangle him to death. Leo saw the past, he unlocked the memories of the previous Warhammer titans all the way up to the titan civil war. The Tyburs were strong vassals of the Eldian king who ruled over what now is northern Marley and Paradise island. To the south the Marleyans were a powerful kingdom, no match for the Eldian empire but still widespread on the continent. Seeking to gain the crown the Tyburs allied in secrecy with Marley and breed with their royalty for generations while also sowing dissent between the Eldian nobility. They lead to the titan civil war by murdering the leader of the house which owned the Armoured titan, framing the Jaws titan family for the incident. The civil war lasted hundred of years, time in which Marley supplied men, materials and aided in plots to kill important vassals of Marley on behalf of the Tyburs. Eventually the king was simply unable to mange the falling kingdom and fled the continent running away to Paradise.
Why aren't every nation on earth capable of turning into titans if Eldia genocided nations and forced the women to bear their children? Because they were never a great power. Infighting between the vassals since the division of the founding titan into nine lead to a constant state of civil war which barely allowed the nation to exist let alone conquer other and expand. The only thing Eldia had was the infrastructure created from turning other Eldian prisoners of war into titans then titanic structures such as enormous bridges, walls or fortresses. Pure titans were used as cattle to plough the fields and dig rivers with their bare hands, how could one manage an army of pure titans when there were eight other titan shifters constantly seeking to usurp the throne.
Once the founding titan divided the kingdom got weak and the only genocides that happened were under the first three rulers of Eldia, so long ago history turned to myth!
"Tell me Willy, who is the culprit for all this death?" Leo asks Willy's corpse as the scouts and the Marley soldiers started fighting around him. "No one, because it all happened hundred of years ago!"
"Help us carry commander Erwin, he's wounded but still alive!" Two scouts say after they've hid behind a barricade of chairs and patched Erwin up as best as they could." Leo transforms into the Warhammer titan destroying the stage and starting to carry Erwin towards the boat. As soon as he transformed however a lightning struck the ground on the horizon and an explosion blew up the majority of ships in the port. The Colossal titan appeared and it was making his way towards the internment zone.
"Eldia will be blamed for this if we die here and news of what really happened doesn't spread out. They were planning of killing everyone during the peace talks from the beginning and having us take the blame!" Hange shouts while finishing to gear up for the fight.
"Eren, Leo, work as a battering ram and make the scouts way towards the port. We'll steal a Marleyan ship and flee on it!" Hange commands before climbing on Leo's shoulder.
"How is commander Erwin?"
"Still breathing but he needs serious medical treatment fast."
"We can save him but not here, we have to get to a ship, extract the bullet and close the wound!"
"Everyone get behind me!" Leo says creating one giant shield and putting on the ground. Eren realises it was for him and transforms into a titan to grab it. Leo creates a second tower shield and the two walk back to back with the scouts nestling between them for cover. Using this strategy they make their way under heavy enemy fire out of the internment zone but as soon as they got out Eren's right leg gets cut by the Jaws titan. Leo looks to the ground in anticipation of being attacked by the Cart but instead he gets punched in the face by the Armoured titan so hard his whole head got ripped off his body. Having his titan immediately destroyed Leo jumps out and transforms again.
"Take commander Erwin! His survival is adamant!" Leo says before creating a makeshift device for the scouts to carry Erwin on their back through the air." Levi puts Erwin on his back and starts rushing towards the port.
"We'll hold them here, capture a ship and leave, we'll manage!" Leo shouts and Eren nods while getting back on his feet. After falling to the ground Eren quickly turned around and grabbed the Jaws titan by the head breaking his body in half and throwing it away on the other side of the internment zone. Leo rushes in front of Eren and protects him with a crystal shield from Zeke's bombardment.
"Eren, leave the Beast to me. If he touches you the powers of the founding titan make activate and get us all killed." Eren nods and heads towards Rainer to fight the Armoured titan.
From behind a building the Cart titan springs out aiming at Leo's neck. Expecting an ambush from the last titan in hiding he creates spikes on his back which impale Pieck in mid-air. Getting on his feet Leo creates a crystal sword and rises it into the air to strike Pieck however, suddenly Zeke gets pierced by an arrow from bellow.
Leo manipulated his hardening powers in order to create a fake upper body which was about to hit Pieck. In reality he was hiding on the ground aiming a crossbow at Zeke who got shot through the stomach and up into the neck missing the nape by very little.
Thinking he was opened for a counter attack Porco tries to slash the Warhammer's back but he gets impaled by a spear coming out of the standing Warhammer titan's body.
This was the reason the Warhammer spoke with different, overlapping voices, this was the reason why Leo could transform three times. The true power of the Warhammer titan, manipulating more than one body at once! As long as they were connected through some limb or body part, the two titan bodies could act individually under Leo's command. The difference between the two however was that the empty titan husk didn't had the red flesh underneath the metallic skin while the true Warhammer titan had. It was also and incredibly draining technique to use, lowering Leo's power usage to very little time, barely three minutes.
The beast titan however falls to the ground with Zeke's human body half skewered by the giant crystal dart shot. His lower abdomen and left leg were completely missing. To finish off the Jaws titan Leo grabs the impaled body using both Warhammer titans at once. The husked grabbed Porco by the back legs while the real Warhammer grabbed Porco by the front legs. They each start spinning his body in opposite directions slowly crushing Porco inside the Jaw's nape. When the last twist was about to kill Porco however Pieck jumped out of her Cart titan and attack the Warhammer. The husk Warhammer throws Porco away and starts withering while Leo does his best to save some stamina in order to fight Pieck. He was running low and Pieck still had two more month of titan transformations at her disposal.
Leo first impaled her, then smashed the Cart's head with a bat and skinned it alive with a whip. No matter how much damage he did the Cart always got back on its feet attacking again and again. Out of the blue however Eren grabs the cart by the legs and smashes it into a nearby building making it fall on top of her. A third sneak attack however has Raider slash at Eren's neck making his human body fly out alongside a piece of flesh. Rainer however was incredibly beaten up and a single hit from the Warhammer was enough to make him fall on his back.
"How much power do you have?" Eren asks Leo climbing on his shoulder?"
"I ran out of power half a minute ago. I'm burning alive inside the titan's body."
"Then we won't be able to use the Warhammer to stop the Colossal."
"Can you still transform?"
"I've got one more transformation in me but I don't have enough strength to take out Bertolt from down here."
"Then take him out from the sky!" Leo starts running picking Eren in his right hand. When they got close enough for Bertolt to start attacking Leo throws Eren towards Bertolt with all the strength he had left. Eren transforms in mid air and his Attack titan acts as a cannon ball breaking through the Colossal's steam, flesh and bone coming out on the other side with Bertolt in his hand. Eren falls to the ground, grabs Leo who was bleeding profusely from his nose, mouth and ears and started running towards the ship.
The scouts captured a Marleyan ship and were ready to go waiting only for them to arrive. Eren signals them to start the engine and makes a mad dash towards the port before jumping. In mid air Eren exits the Attack titan's nape, grabs Bertolt and Leo and jumps on the ship leaving.
"We made it, go, go, go!" Eren shouts looking behind as Rainer, Pieck and the Beast were getting back up and ready to fire after them.
"How is commander Erwin?" Leo asks worried about him. A tragic tale is re-enacted in front of him with different actors. Erwin was slowly bleeding to death.
"No! I will not stay here seeing the commander die!" Leo shouts angrily.
"What can we do, we've tried stopping the bleeding but that's just slowing down the inevitable. He even lost consciousness and soon will..."
"I will not allow this."
"Leo..." Levi appears behind him still wearing his blood covered 3DM gear and weapons. Levi puts a hand on Leo's shoulder and the latter looks down. Leo while bleeding himself grabs Erwin from the bed and runs outside while Levi grabs Bertolt. The two jump off the ship onto the docks still near the ship.
"Stop the ship, we have to wait for them!"
"No, we cannot! If we stop now we'll put the founding titan in danger. The three of them knew all too well what it meant jumping off, they didn't jumped to save Erwin's life but jumped to share the same moment of death!"
"Then I'll go too!"
"Eren! Every single one of us would have jumped off with them... every single one. We simply cannot be as selfish as those two! You hear me!" Hange shouts from the back of the ship.
"You better come back home alive!" Hange sends them off as the ship goes further and further.
"You'll have to forgive me Erwin, but the world still needs you here!" Levi injects Erwin with the titan serum and leaves the transforming Erwin behind with Bertolt as he and Leo head towards the three remaining titans.
Levi jumps head first into danger in order to give Erwin enough time to eat Bertolt.
"Captain, I wish I could join you... but I can't even say these words... I can barely think them." "But still. If I'm dying then let me die on my feet! Sacrifice your hearts!" Leo says biting straight through his arm creating a fourth monstrous titan. The Warhammer titan completely without any skin.
Levi dodges Pieck's bites and ignores the Armoured titan heading straight for the Beast. He knew all to well the long range attacks were still dangerous to the ship so he had to take Zeke out as soon as possible.
The Armoured titan tries to stop Levi but the Warhammer wielding the ripped side of a destroyed ship as a weapon charges into him, pushing Rainer to the ground. As Levi starts chopping first the feet then the arms of the Beast titan Leo hits Rainer with the makeshift weapon but it was utterly useless. Unable to break through the armour, Leo takes the sharpest point of the blade and stabs Rainer through the opened mouth impaling him to the ground. That won't stop him but he was immobile for now. With the last of his strength Leo bends the metal over Rainer's face and heads behind to keep Pieck away from Erwin. When he looks behind however the Cart titan was nowhere to be seen. It was done though, Erwin ate Bertolt and his pure titan was slowly melting away as steam.
Having to make a though choice, Pieck rushed to save Zeke from being slaughtered by Levi rather than helping Bertolt out. With his lightning quick reflexes Levi dodges Pieck's bite and rushes towards Leo. While running back towards Erwin and Leo he doesn't notice Rainer lying on the ground and just as he passes over Rainer hits him out of the air into a nearby building.
Leo struggles while his body was burning to walk towards Levi before bursting into one last sprint, taking both Levi and Erwin with him then jumping into the sea and turning what was left of his burning titan body into crystal.
"This is my chance! I'll give chase and return the Warhammer and the Colossal titan back to Marley." Pieck says running towards them and slowly swimming behind the three who already were gaining a lot of speed from Leo's last jump into the water.
