Five years later with the power of the titans Eldia was a prospering nation. It was after the most advanced on earth with machines capable of flight and weapons no other kingdom around could ever match. They did not invade nations however nor where they interested in sharing their advanced knowledge with them. Eldia was considered a legendary land where few people from outside stepped in and those who visited it spoke about numerous incredible sights.

A small titan with sharp teeth and claws wound cuts trees and another would carry them around while humans only sawed them into planks or planted other trees behind. Another spoke about a titan made of stone which quarried limestone, granite and coal from the side of mountains with its powerful hands. Those who saw their cultivated lands spoke about a fur covered titan that looked like a bull carrying on her back twenty ploughs at one. A female like giant was helping humans hold in place the frames of their houses while a muscular, human looking titan would dig ditches and move rivers. Lastly they spoke about a shiny titan covered in metal which built the foundation of roads which connected all the cities that sprung on the island in just a few months.

The whole of Paradise has been colonised, secured from invaders and transformed into a just society. Historia remained queen however after numerous pushes from political parties a constitution based human rights was written, one which did not discriminate nor distinguished between Eldian, Marleyan or whatever other nationality the ambassadors from other nations where when they got transported into the past.

The one who suffered the most out of this was Zeke. His beast titan was taken away from him as soon as possible and he was, not locked up but separated from the civil society. As punishment for his crimes he was placed under constant watch as to not give up any of Eldia's secrets to the outside world. In time however, once his sentence will be served he will be free to become a citizen of Eldia once again.

"I did not believed I would see the day when I could sit down and think over my actions. To think I had death looming over my shoulder for so long and now I'm going to grow and die as a frail old man. Where life takes you."

Commander Erwin finally retired from the army and became both a historian and a traveller. Eldia eventually would need more land for its people and it was his job to find uninhabited islands which wouldn't be colonized by other nations for thousands of years. Levi ever faithful joined him in his quest, if not for his newly acquired hobby. By interacting with Marleyan soldiers and people from all over the world which were teleported with all the inhabitants of Paradise he learnt about an enormous amount of different ways to make tea. His first intention was to see a place were a certain "coffee" plant grew.

Hange was the mad inventor of paradise and none could match the title. All improvements on the island, the flying blimps, the harvest of iceburst crystal, the construction of railroads, all were supervised by the new proud owner of the Warhammer titan. Leo gave it to Hange who accepted with great pleasure the mantle of the next Warhammer titan. Unfortunately, the lion half of the Warhammer titan didn't migrated when the blood ritual took place. How comfortable life was now that titan inheritance was as easy as two people, willingly sharing their blood together. It was impossible for someone to steal a titan. People couldn't turn into pure titans any more so the old fashion way was out of the question. Attacking or capturing a titan shifter is next to impossible so one either had to receive it from the previous host or randomly get it if the host spent more than thirteen years without using the titan's powers.

The only titan the world never saw was the Colossal titan who's destructive power had no place in the new world. The one who inherited from Erwin was Armin, who's gentle nature will make sure it will never be used for evil as well as ensuring a worthy heir.

Speaking of Armin, he was the one who wrote the constitution and now acts as an ambassador for the outside world. His goal is to use Eldia as the central point through which the world around eventually achieve peace. Voices also talk about his troubled relationship with the owner of a certain titan. Well, only if you ask one of the two the relationship is going nowhere, but if you eavesdrop on them you realise they're both quite happy. What better partner for such a public figure than a discrete one?

Rainer kept the armoured titan and switch his focus in working to better the life of the people around him. His armoured titan is perfectly suited for breaking stone and quarrying it for the people to use as they need it. He also as a pastime makes sculptures... of queen Historia but people know she is the subject just because Rainer boasts about it rather than his skill. He did meet again with his family from Liberio however and he seems to no longer be haunted by his actions from the past.

Porco... he is a weird position. Seeking to prove himself better than Rainer he now uses his titan to cut wood and help people build their villages faster and faster. He is quite popular although, since he is in competition with Rainer and the latter never accepted any female attention, Porco cannot get a girlfriend since he has to make sure he gets a girl prettier than Rainer's.

Magath continued serving as a general and worked in close contact with Erwin on the colonisation projects. Wherever suitable land is discovered he is the first to plant the flag of Eldia and start creating the basis for a new colony. He has been doing quite well for himself.

Leo lived in constant and absolute terror for at least three months. Because of his troubled connection with his Warhammer titan he was the first to give up his titan shifter powers and became a regular human again. The terror of waking up in the morning and seeing the Cart titan's snout peeking in through the window is a sight he would remember for the rest of his life. Luckily for him that ended three months after the first encounter.

"It feels like I came back to my senses after a long dream!" Leo boasts every time he prints a new newspaper. He started working as a journalist again but soon so many people wanted to learn from him because of his fame to the point he just opened his own newspaper which he manages while people write in his stead.

"I still write of course, but now I write only fiction. Once you transform into a lion and fall off the side of a giant tree made of bones you stop seeing the world as normal. There are also some other things I write but those are more personal." Who knows what he is hiding in the locked drawer of his desk.

"They are love letters." Pieck says bluntly. "He is still embarrassed after five years."

"I won't burn them, but those words shall never see the light of day. Only a pair of eyes had the right to look upon them and now their job is done."

Out of the two people who had to change their surname Pieck is one of them, although Pieck Zuege doesn't sound as good as Finger. She is a full time mother and part time goldsmith. It seems the name Finger comes from the fact in the past her family worked as jewellers with a special talent for rings. While under Marleyan control her family being Eldians didn't got to practice this art much but now she is starting to craft jewellery again, however that is only for very rare occasions, such as a friends birthday or a wedding.

"This one is Edward, he is four, this one is Lucy, she's two and this is one is Rosette and she isn't even an year old!" Leo always had a proud look when he shows off his children, disappointed only one of them has blond hair like his while the other two have black hair like their mothers.

Connie finally got to get back to his village, or at least he wanted to but later realised his village hasn't been built yet therefore this is what he has been doing for the last five years. He is still struggling since he doesn't remember the correct layout of the previous village but that won't stop him from working hard.

Jeanne surprisingly got into the production of alcohol, rum and liquor to be precise. His bottles however had such a richly decorated stamp on them that people wanted to know who drew them and once the voice spread around about his talent numerous requests started piling in for him to draw important people's portraits. That's when he got to meet the daughter of a Hizuru diplomat and he finally got over the fact Eren beat him in everything.

Sasha got thrown off the island, or at least she was threatened to be since she nearly made the whole Eldian colony starve to death by over eating. Half was the problem of Niccolo who was capable of creating delicious meals from scraps. Luckily for the two of them, Niccolo's talent at cooking and Sasha's skill at hunting saved both their hides. Nowadays Sasha has a ranch which supplies Niccolo's restaurant. He did kept his promise of feeding her for the rest of her life.

Lastly here comes the man who is finally satisfied in life. Eren for the first time ever managed to relax and unwind. He is no longer the owner of the Attack titan however he still has the memories of the past owners including his father's who made him into a skilled doctor.

"These hands killed enough, not only in this life but in the past one too. I'll use them to heal this time." Eren regained the bright shine in his eyes he had when he first started fighting back against the titans, there is still one thing however which is capable of breaking that bright light. That is, asking how it went when he tried copying Leo five years ago during his confession to Mikasa.

Eren first went and nearly ran towards her only to stop like a pole in the ground in front of her without saying anything. He shouted out her name to get the attention she was already giving him. He first thinks of grabbing her by the collar and do the same as Leo did with Pieck but he was too embarrassed to act so he placed his hand on her shoulder.

"Do you not feel well Eren?"

"Yes, I mean, no. There is something which bothers me, an aching point in my heart. I am missing something and that thing is..." Eren tries being all romantic and poetic.

"You've lost something? I'll help you look for it."

"It is already in front of me!" Luckily some helpful souls dispersed the crowd around them and Eren managed to finally confess a few minutes later. It was difficult, it was embarrassing but it worked out in the end.

Mikasa Yeager, it has a horrible ring to it just as with Pieck. Maybe it will become an Eldian tradition that the worst the name change is the better the relationship will be in the future.

Perhaps with Eren's love confession something inside Mikasa's heart changed. Slowly she stopped being the over protective shadow that she once was and started showing more emotions, interests, expressions. The only question on her mind right now is, will it be a boy or a girl?
